Abstract

Pemetaan kawasan mangrove melalui data citra satelit dapat memberikan informasi terkini mengenai kondisi dan sebaran mangrove yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kawasan mangrove yang berada di tiga kecamatan di Kabupaten Mempawah, yaitu Kecamatan Siantan, Segedong dan Sungai Pinyuh, serta memetakan kondisi eksisting kawasan mangrove saat ini. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan kombinasi pendekatan penginderaan jauh dan survey lapangan. Melalui hasil analisis, luasan mangrove diestimasi sebesar 592,56 di Kecamatan Siantan, 287,91 Ha di Kecamatan Segedong dan 245,25 Ha di Kecamatan Sungai Pinyuh. Nilai indeks vegetasi (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) berkisar antara 0,20 hingga 0,81, dominan kondisi vegetasi berada dalam kondisi baik dengan nilai indeks vegetasi yang tinggi. Terdapat titik-titik di lokasi yang mengalami degradasi dengan nilai indeks vegetasi berkisar 0,20 hingga 0,61. Kondisi eksisting hutan mangrove di 3 kecamatan dapat dikatakan baik, namun terdapat beberapa titik-titik yang mengalami degradasi atau kerusakan secara parsial.

Abstract

Jamur tiram merupakan produk pertanian yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan, sebab peluang pasarnya sangat menjanjikan. Pengetahuan tentang budidaya jamur tiram perlu dipelajari, terutama bagi siswa sekolah kejuruan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa SMK Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya dalam budidaya jamur tiram. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan (penyampaian teori dan praktik) dan evaluasi (pengisian kuesioner). Berdasarkan evaluasi dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai budidaya jamur tiram bagi peserta pelatihan menjadi meningkat. Peserta belum mengetahui tentang budidaya jamur tiram (66,67%), telah mengetahui namun belum pernah praktik (20%) dan telah mengetahui dan praktik (13,33%) sebelum mengikuti pelatihan, sementara peserta menjadi mengetahui (40%) dan sangat mengetahui (60%) setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Tanggapan peserta mengenai pelatihan budidaya jamur yaitu bermanfaat 26,67%), sangat bermanfaat (73,33%), dan menginspirasi (100%). Peserta berharap dapat mempraktikan budidaya jamur tiram di sekolah setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini.

Abstract

Mangrove merupakan suatu komunitas tumbuhan yang tumbuh di sepanjang garis pantai dan berperan penting sebagai penyimpan dan penyerap karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besaran biomassa dan cadangan karbon di atas permukaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari Agustus hingga Oktober 2022 di Kawasan Mangrove Desa Sungai Kupah Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode systematic sampling with random start, kemudian dibentuk 20 plot pengamatan untuk mengamati diameter pohon mangrove dengan ukuran ≤ 4 cm. Penentuan biomassa mengacu pada metode non destructive dengan menggunakan persamaan allometrik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat lima jenis tumbuhan mangrove yaitu Avicennia marina, A. alba, Sonneratia caseolaris, Nypa fruticans dan Rhizophora mucronata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah biomassa dan cadangan karbon masing – masing yaitu 273,98 ton/ha dan 136,99 ton C/ha. Biomassa dan cadangan karbon tertinggi terdistribusi pada kelas diameter 34-43,99 cm sebesar masing – masing 73,52 ton/ha dan 36,76 ton C/ha, dan distribusi biomassa dan cadangan karbon tertinggi pada jenis A. marina dengan jumlah masing – masing 152,875 ton/ha dan 76,437 ton C/ha. Kata Kunci : biomassa, cadangan karbon, mangrove, sungai kupah.

Abstract

Bamboos are one of the plant species that make up forest vegetation that has many benefits both economically, ecologically and socio-culturally. Environmental quality can be assessed using data on the diversity of bamboo species. This study aims to determine the composition and level of diversity of bamboo species in the Bukit Kinai region. Determination of sampling locations using purposive sampling method with double plots. This research was conducted in January-April 2023 in the Bukit Kinai area of Setanduk Village, Capkala District, Bengkayang Regency. Seven bamboo species from four different genera were identified, namely Bambusa vulgaris Schrad Ex. JC Wendl, Dendrocalamus asper (Schult. F) Backer, Gigantochloa hasskarliana (Kurz) Backer, Schizostachyum blumei Nees, S. brachyladum (Kurz ex Munro) Kurz, S. lima (Blanco) Merrill, and S. mampouw Widjaja. The highest Frequency, Density and INP values were found in the species Gigantochloa hasskarliana (Kurz) Backer, which were 0.85, 261.25 clumps/ha, and 110%, respectively. Low species richness (R = 1.059), low species diversity (H = 0.917), and moderate species evenness and species dominance (E = 0.471 and C = 0.555) were observed in the Bukit Kinai region. Based on this study, the bamboo community in the Bukit Kinai area was in an unstable condition so that its environmental quality can be categorized as poor.

Abstract

The Malay people in Ratu Sepudak village use some kind of plant foods. The Malay culture of Ratu Sepudak Village is closely related to the use of plants as food. The purpose of this study was to determine the species of plants, plants parts, utilization categories and processing methods of food plants as well as to determine the value of citation frequency and informant agreement factor (FKI). This study was conducted from August to October 2022 in Ratu Sepudak Village, Galing District, Sambas recency. The method used in this study is purposive sampling and semi-structured interviews of 30 respondens. Quantitative analysis of this study using citation frequncy and informant agreement factor(FKI). Based on the research results food plants were obtained 72 species and 39 families. The most species found are Arecaceae, Poaceae,  and Zingiberaceae, which are 6,94 % each. The most widely used part as food is fruit, which is 51,76%. Planst that are used as food ingredients are the most widely inclued in the category of utilization as vegetables as many as 29 types. The highest value of citation frequency of this study reaches 100%. Utilization category as a staple food and food coloring has the highest value of the informant agreement factor (FKI) is 1.

Abstract

Orchids are planting whose existence in nature is decreasing. Cultivation to preserve orchids needs to be done. However, orchid cultivation requires special knowledge and skills in order for the plants to thrive. This training was conducted to increase knowledge and skills about orchid cultivation for students of SMK Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya. The method of implementing this activity includes preparation (Activity plan), implementation (Delivery of material and practice of orchid cultivation) and evaluation (Filling out questionnaires). This activity was carried out at Talita Garden Rasau Jaya III Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya which was attended by 16 participants. The material and practice of orchid cultivation were delivered directly by the resource person. Based on the evaluation through the questionnaire sheet, this training was able to increase the knowledge and skills of participants about orchid cultivation from 81.25% not knowing to 40.00% knowing and 60.00% very knowing. This training was very useful (68.75%) and inspiring (100%). Based on the knowledge and skills of orchid cultivation that have been obtained, participants hope to practice at school and at home.

Abstract

Ferns belonging to the Polypodiaceae family are widely distributed across various regions of the world, particularly in forested areas and regions characterized by high humidity levels. The analysis of relationships among ferns can be conducted based on their morphological characteristics. The aim of this study was to determine the relationships among ferns of the Polypodiaceae family in the Bukit Kujau area of Tempunak District, Sintang Regency, utilizing morphological traits. This research was conducted from October to December 2023, during which 35 samples were collected in the Bukit Kujau area through purposive sampling. The relationships were analyzed using the UPGMA method in the NTSys program. The study identified seven species of ferns from the Polypodiaceae family: Platycerium bifurcatum (Cav.), Dynaria querfolia (L.), Davallia denticulatum (Burm.f.), Phymatodes scolopendria (Burm.), Diplazium esculentum (Rezt.), Pyrrosia numularifolia (Sw.), and Drymoglossum piloselloides (Linn.). Based on the grouping analysis, the seven species of ferns exhibited a similarity coefficient ranging from 0.37 to 1.00. At a similarity coefficient of 0.47, the species were grouped into three clusters, each distinguished by morphological characteristics such as sorus shape, sorus type, and sorus color.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting di kawasan pesisir, terutama dalam mitigasi bencana dan habitat jenis-jenis ikan dan udang. Kecamatan Pulau Maya, Kabupaten Kayong Utara dikelilingi kawasan mangrove, saat ini belum memiliki data yang komprehensif dan terbaru terkait dengan potensi struktur komunitas mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji komposisi jenis dan struktur komunitas mangrove di Kecamatan Pulau Maya. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada Juni - Agustus 2022, di 7 stasiun yang dipilih secara purposive dengan mempertimbangkan sebaran mangrove dan zonasi kawasan konservasi perairan yang telah ditetapkan. Data struktur komunitas diambil dengan plot pengamatan 10 x 10 m, tiap tegakan dengan DBH > 4 cm didata jenis, ukuran diameter dan tinggi, serta data-data lain seperti jumlah semaian, tutupan kanopi juga dicatat berdasarkan pedoman standar. Hasil menunjukkan 8 spesies mangrove ditemukan, yaitu Acanthus ilicifolius, Acrostichum aureum, Avicennia marina, Bruguiera parviflora, Nypa fruticans, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia alba dan Xylocarpus granatum. Kerapatan individu berkisar 800 – 1700 ind ha-1 dan nilai basal area berkisar 6,13 – 112,95 m2 ha-1.Indeks nilai penting (INP) tertinggi ditemukan pada spesies R. apiculata (94,79%). Potensi mangrove di lokasi cukup tinggi dibandingkan dengan beberapa daerah lain, sehingga monitoring dan pemanfaatan yang lestari dari hasil hutan non-kayu, wisata edukasi, riset dan program padat karya berbasis masyarakat diharapkan dapat diutamakan untuk kelestarian kawasan mangrove di lokasi.

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that contain active substances that can be utilized as disease healers as well as medicinal properties. The utilization of medicinal plants has been widely practiced by the Malay community in Mungguk Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of species with medicinal properties, plant parts, processing methods and the use value of medicinal plants. This research was conducted from March to April 2023 located in Mungguk Village, Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan. This research used semi-structured interview techniques with sample collection using the snowball sampling method. The results of the research on potential medicinal plants in Mungguk Village found 35 species in 20 families. The frequency of citation of families with the largest utilization value was 70% in the Zingiberaceae family, while the lowest was 10% in the Amaryllidaceae family, Lauraceae family, Malvaceae family, and Pedaliaceae family. The highest species use value (SUV) was 0.5 and the lowest was 0.1.
