By using the theory of suitability and resource conservation as a theoretical basis, the aim of this study is to propose and test a research model that investigates two-way conflict (work – family conflict and family – work conflict) on work engagement. The data were collected from 60 employees of PT. Pertamina Retail Ketintang and Jemursari Surabaya, Indonesia, in one week apart in two waves which were used to assess the above-mentioned relationship through multiple linear regression on SPSS 23. The results showed that work – family conflict and family – work conflict respectively did not partially affect the work engagement of the employees of the gas station of PT. Pertamina Retail Ketintang and Jemursari Surabaya. In addition, work – family conflict and family – work conflict together (simultaneously) also have no effect on employee work engagement. This study contributes to current knowledge by investigating the interrelationship of two-way conflict in relation to work engagement.

The Gresik Deaf Community (Kotugres) is a community of young and productive deaf people who need to receive digital business training to support their economic independence. This training can also be used as a strategy to empower Kotugres from unfavorable conditions such as negative stigma from society, discrimination, neglect and economic and social marginalization. Kotugres' products need to be marketed digitally after manual/offline business processes have stagnated due to changes in people's mindsets which are starting to abandon offline shopping habits and tend to increase interest in online shopping, especially the Covid-19 pandemic situation which has not yet 100% subsided to create a digital business platform increasingly needed and popular with society. The PKM implementation went well, smoothly, participants were enthusiastic in taking part in the activities and were guided in using the market place. The next stage is preparing PKM outputs in the form of scientific publications in national journals or proceedings, publications in online mass media, and videos of activities uploaded on YouTube.

The rapid growth of the global halal industry has increased the need for organizations to move beyond symbolic halal compliance and integrate Islamic values into their internal management practices. This study aims to examine the role of halal organizational culture as a driver of service quality and customer satisfaction in halal-oriented service organizations. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 170 customers who had experienced services provided by halal-based organizations. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings reveal that halal organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on service quality and customer satisfaction. Service quality is also found to significantly influence customer satisfaction and plays a mediating role in the relationship between halal organizational culture and customer satisfaction. These results indicate that halal values embedded in organizational culture enhance customer satisfaction primarily through improvements in service quality. This study contributes to the halal and service management literature by highlighting the importance of internal organizational culture in shaping service outcomes and customer perceptions. Practically, the findings suggest that managers of halal-oriented organizations should focus on cultivating a strong halal organizational culture and translating Islamic values into concrete service practices to achieve service excellence and sustainable competitive advantage.
