Abstract

Program pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan inovasi siswa melalui pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah yang sistematis dan terstruktur. Kegiatan ini meliputi pemberian pengetahuan dasar tentang proses penulisan ilmiah, teknik mengembangkan ide kreatif, serta mendampingi siswa dalam merancang dan menyusun karya ilmiah siswa. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan karya ilmiah kepada siswa serta mengukur peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun karya ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan siswa. Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan siswa mampu menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang inovatif dan berkualitas tinggi, serta meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan analitis. Pendampingan membantu siswa dalam mengatasi hambatan selama proses penulisan dan memperkuat kemampuan siswa dalam mengemukakan ide-ide baru secara ilmiah. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara signifikan meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam merancang, menulis, dan menyusun karya ilmiah sesuai kaidah ilmiah yang berlaku. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah siswa di tingkat sekolah menengah. Dengan demikian, program ini berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan generasi muda yang kreatif, inovatif, dan mampu bersaing secara akademik maupun inovatif di masa depan.

Abstract

This study aims to address challenges in transportation scheduling by employing a suitable algorithm to ensure the scheduling process operates efficiently and effectively. One algorithm identified as appropriate for this task is the Genetic Algorithm, which is widely recognized for its robust capabilities in optimization tasks. Known for its adaptability and robustness, the Genetic Algorithm is well-suited for scheduling applications, including academic timetabling, as it can handle complex problems involving multiple criteria and objectives. Inspired by principles of biological evolution and natural selection, this algorithm iteratively explores solutions to approach optimal outcomes, refining the schedule in each iteration until an effective solution is achieved. Based on the analysis of experimental results using real-world data and evaluation of the system's design, the study concludes that the Hiace transportation departure scheduling system was successfully developed using a web-based approach. This web-based system offers significant advantages, as it facilitates more efficient management of departure schedules and eliminates the need for manual checks. As a result, it reduces the risk of human error and allows for better resource allocation. The integration of Genetic Algorithms into the development of the Hiace transportation scheduling system demonstrates the potential of evolutionary computation in solving practical, real-life scheduling problems. The resulting system is supported by internet-based technologies, providing easy access to passengers and system administrators. Despite the positive outcomes achieved, the current implementation is not without limitations. Further refinement and continued development are essential to enhance system performance, increase reliability, and ensure it can adapt to evolving needs and operational complexities, ensuring its long-term effectiveness.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to enhance the academic writing capacity of lecturers, teachers, and students in preparing scientific articles eligible for publication in SINTA 2 and 4 accredited journals. In response to the increasing demand for scientific publications as part of academic performance and graduation requirements in Indonesia, this initiative aimed to address common challenges such as lack of writing skills, limited understanding of journal requirements, and low confidence in submitting to reputable journals. The program adopted the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which encourages the active participation of stakeholders in identifying problems, implementing solutions, and reflecting on outcomes. The workshop was held online and structured in three main phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparation involved needs assessment and module development. The implementation phase included material delivery, interactive sharing sessions with experienced journal reviewers, and practical writing exercises. Participants also engaged in a simulated manuscript submission process using the Open Journal System (OJS). A total of 40 participants comprising lecturers, teachers, and students from the Universitas Malikussaleh area took part in the one-day intensive workshop. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in participants' knowledge and skills, with post-test scores rising and 92% reporting satisfaction, particularly with the practice-based sessions and direct feedback from facilitators. This program demonstrated that a structured, practical, and participatory training model could effectively build scientific writing competence. The integration of technical tools and active mentorship was key to bridging the gap between understanding and actual implementation. The program not only improved participants’ confidence but also contributed to strengthening the culture of scientific publication among academic communities in regional Indonesia.ABSTRAKProgram pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kapasitas menulis ilmiah dosen, guru, dan mahasiswa dalam menyusun artikel yang layak dipublikasikan pada jurnal terakreditasi SINTA 2 dan 4. Kegiatan ini merupakan respons terhadap meningkatnya tuntutan publikasi ilmiah sebagai bagian dari penilaian kinerja akademik dan syarat kelulusan di Indonesia. Program ini sekaligus menjadi solusi atas berbagai kendala umum seperti keterbatasan kemampuan menulis, kurangnya pemahaman terhadap ketentuan jurnal, serta rendahnya kepercayaan diri untuk mengirim artikel ke jurnal bereputasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta dalam mengidentifikasi masalah, melaksanakan solusi, dan melakukan refleksi terhadap hasil. Workshop dilakukan secara daring dan terbagi dalam tiga tahap utama: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi analisis kebutuhan dan penyusunan modul. Tahap pelaksanaan mencakup penyampaian materi, sesi berbagi pengalaman bersama reviewer jurnal, serta praktik penulisan artikel. Peserta juga mengikuti simulasi proses submit naskah melalui sistem Open Journal System (OJS). Sebanyak 40 peserta yang terdiri dari dosen, guru, dan mahasiswa di wilayah Universitas Malikussaleh mengikuti workshop intensif selama satu hari. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman dan keterampilan menulis peserta. Skor post-test meningkat, dan 92% peserta menyatakan puas, terutama pada sesi praktik dan pendampingan langsung. Program ini membuktikan bahwa model pelatihan terstruktur dan partisipatif dapat secara efektif membangun kompetensi penulisan ilmiah serta memperkuat budaya publikasi di kalangan akademisi daerah.

Abstract

The increasing demand for palm oil as a raw material for food and energy industries has driven the need for accurate forecasting methods to optimize palm oil production management. This study aims to forecast Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production at PTPN III Batang Toru Plantation using the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) method. Monthly time series data from January 2020 to January 2024, including Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), loose fruit, and CPO yields, were analyzed to build the forecasting model. The Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test confirmed that the data is stationary without differencing. Based on the ACF, PACF, and white noise tests, the ARIMA(1,0,1) model was identified as the best fit. The forecasting results indicated a potential increase in CPO production from January 2025 to December 2026. However, alternative models like CPOF showed poor accuracy, with a high MAPE of 442.12%, suggesting the need for further model refinement. Despite limitations, the ARIMA method remains effective for short-term forecasting and supports data-driven decision-making in the plantation sector.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mengubah lanskap penerbitan ilmiah, mendorong peralihan dari media cetak ke platform digital. Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3 hadir sebagai solusi sistem manajemen jurnal berbasis open-source yang efisien dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan akademik modern. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan daring OJS 3 pada 8–9 Maret 2025 bagi para pengelola jurnal ilmiah dari berbagai institusi, yang bertujuan membekali peserta dengan keterampilan teknis mengelola sistem penerbitan ilmiah secara mandiri. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, melibatkan ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi langsung, dan praktik mandiri melalui simulasi teknis. Materi mencakup instalasi OJS 3, konfigurasi awal, manajemen submisi naskah, proses editorial dan peer-review, hingga publikasi dan optimasi metadata. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap fitur-fitur utama OJS 3, seperti integrasi dengan CrossRef, DOI, iThenticate, dan optimasi SEO. Evaluasi menunjukkan 85% peserta merasa puas terhadap kedalaman materi dan metode penyampaian. Kendala teknis seperti instalasi server dan perbedaan literasi digital peserta dapat diatasi melalui pendampingan langsung. Pasca pelatihan, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam mengelola jurnal, serta aktif melakukan konsultasi teknis melalui forum daring. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola jurnal sekaligus memperkuat ekosistem publikasi ilmiah nasional. Rekomendasi ke depan meliputi pelatihan lanjutan dan penguatan jaringan kolaboratif antar institusi. Kegiatan ini merupakan langkah strategis dalam mendukung transformasi digital, perluasan akses terbuka, dan peningkatan daya saing publikasi ilmiah di Indonesia.

Abstract

Produktivitas padi merupakan indikator penting dalam memantau dan meningkatkan produksi padi di suatu wilayah. Di Kabupaten Bireuen, Aceh, alokasi pupuk subsidi yang tidak merata menjadi kendala dalam optimalisasi produktivitas padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklaster daerah prioritas dan non-prioritas produktivitas panen padi di Kabupaten Bireuen menggunakan algoritma K-Medoids dan Purity K-Medoids. Data yang digunakan adalah data historis pertanian padi tahun 2012–2023 sebanyak 204 record, yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Bireuen dan Dinas Pertanian dan Perkebunan Kabupaten Bireuen, dengan variabel seperti jumlah desa, luas tanam, luas panen, produktivitas, jumlah produksi, dan persentase luas tanam. Proses klasterisasi dievaluasi menggunakan Davies Bouldin Index (DBI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Purity K-Medoids menghasilkan nilai rata-rata DBI sebesar 0,786911, lebih rendah dibandingkan K-Medoids yang sebesar 0,907856, menandakan validitas klaster yang lebih baik. Berdasarkan hasil klasterisasi, Kecamatan Peusangan paling sering muncul sebagai daerah prioritas, yaitu pada tahun 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, dan 2023. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam kebijakan alokasi sumber daya pertanian di Kabupaten Bireuen.

Abstract

This study evallualtes the quallity of ALgglomeraltive Hieralrchicall Clustering with single linkalge, complete linkalge, alveralge linkalge, alnd walrd linkalge on the daltalset of the number of criminall calses in Indonesial (20ll0ll0ll-20ll23). The analysis compares clustering performance on the original and normalized datasets using the Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI), Silhouette Score (SS), Normalized Mutual Information (NMI), Adjusted Rand Index (ARI), and Callinski-Harabasz Index (CH). The results showed that Ward Linkage provided the best clustering results, with the highest CH increasing from 65.826 to 66.873, clear cluster separation, and a stable structure (NMI = 0.5855, ARI = 0.6298). Single Linkage experienced a chaining effect, although it showed improvement in DBI from 0l.1793 to 0l.1765 and SS from 0l.6271 to 0l.640l0l, with NMI and ARI stable at 0l.4537 and 0l.5865, but CH decreased from 21.731 to 21.0l72. Complete Linkage was too aggressive in separating the data, shown by an increase in DBI from 0.5327 to 0.7116 and a decrease in SS from 0.6336 to 0.5830, although CH increased from 64.244 to 66.873. Average Linkage showed stable results, with NMI = 0l.6481 and ARI = 0l.7993 remaining, but a slight decrease in DBI from 0l.3874 to 0l.40l91, SS from 0l.6839 to 0l.6825, and CH from 42.358 to 40l.251. Data normalization generally helps to improve clustering quality by reducing the influence of feature scale differences. Several metrics showed improved cluster separation on normalized data, although the impact varied depending on the linkage method. Overall, Ward Linkage with normalization is recommended as the best method to produce more accurate clustering in Indonesia's crime data analysis.

Abstract

ISPA disease is one of the most common types of disease suffered in Aceh. The method used in this research is fuzzy c means algorithm to cluster the spread of ISPA disease areas in Aceh Utara. The data used is the data on patients with ISPA in 2021 obtained from Cut Meutia General Hospital and Arun Hospital. The attributes used consist of the patient's age, patient's address, patient's gender and the type of ISPA the patient suffered. In this research only focused on 3 types of ISPA, namely Pneumonia, Bronchitis and ISPA. The existing data will then be grouped into 3 clusters, namely low cluster, medium cluster and high cluster. The results of clustering the spread of ISPA in Aceh Utara show that the highest case is in Dewantara District, the medium cluster are Muara Batu, Nisam, Nisam Antara, Sawang, and Tanah Jambo Aye Districts, and the low cluster is Baktiya, Baktiya Barat, Banda Baro, Cot Girek, Geureudong Pase, Kuta Makmur, Langkahan, Lapang, Lhoksukon, Matang Kuli, Meurah Mulia, Nibong, Paya Bakong, Pirak Timu, Samudera, Seunudon, Simpang Keramat, Syamtalira Aron, Syamtalira Bayu, Tanah Luas and Tanah Pasir Districts. With the results of this clustering, it is expected that the provision of drug stocks for ISPA will be prioritized in cluster areas with the highest spread rates.

Abstract

This study develops an intelligent application to support decision-making in selecting potential stocks for novice investors. Stock selection is often a challenge for beginner investors due to limited experience, analytical skills, and understanding of a company's fundamental indicators. The developed Decision Support System (DSS) integrates two multi-criteria analysis methods: AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and VIKOR (VIšekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje). AHP is employed to systematically determine the criteria weights based on user preferences, addressing VIKOR’s limitation in subjective weight assignment. VIKOR is then used to rank stocks by identifying the best compromise solution. The application is user-friendly and utilizes eight fundamental indicators: PER, PBV, ROA, ROE, EPS, BVPS, DR, and DY. Functional testing using the black-box testing method showed that all application features work properly. Recommendation validation also confirmed that the application provides accurate suggestions, consistent with manual analysis using the AHP-VIKOR model.

Abstract

Currently, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) office in Lhokseumawe, there is no online notification system available for the departure of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. In the age of rapid advancements in information technology, the importance of an online notification system is increasing, as it can facilitate the departure process for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. The objective of this community engagement activity is to provide socialization to the staff in the Hajj and Umrah department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in Lhokseumawe. The primary focus is on enhancing their understanding of the online notification system, as part of an ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and transparency in the online departure process for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims at the Kemenag office in Lhokseumawe.
