Abstract

Procurement of machinery is a facilitation to overcome auction problems in accordance with the strategic plan of the Dinas TPHPKP to maintain and improve the quality or quality of commodities so as to increase the selling value. To carry out this facilitation with limited funds, other sources of subsidized funds are needed, the government needs tools to determine the nominal funding decision, the decision to place the machine, and the feasibility study of the model. Based on surveys, interviews, and previous research, the research data was processed using goal programming with Excel and ILOG CPLEX. This study chooses scenario three as the optimal scenario because the nominal subsidy of funds is smaller than scenarios one and two, but results in machine option decisions on each quality improvement function with a positive benefit deviation value of Rp. 20,014,000. This study succeeded in formulating a fund allocation model, determining five locations for placing machines and stating the feasibility of a fund allocation model with a Benefit Cost Ratio value of 1.49. Future research is expected to be able to consider the cost of energy consumption in the next use of the machine, consider the form of village assets as a candidate for placing the machine, and calculate other feasibility study parameters.

Abstract

Sustainable transport plays a key role in the fight against climate change, particularly in developing countries where reliance on conventional vehicles is high. Motorcycles account for the majority of the fleet of motor vehicles in Indonesia and contribute significantly to emissions. In order to achieve its Paris target of a 29 percent reduction of carbon emissions, the government is encouraging electric cars with various incentives. This study develops a willingness to consider (WTC) model for electric motorcycles in Indonesia based on the powertrain technology transition market agent model (PTTMAM) and utilizes Vensim software to simulate outcomes. The WTC model is built on the assumption that consumers' willingness to consider electric motorcycles is influenced by factors such as costs, marketing, and exposures. The system dynamics model consists of four modules: the conventional motorcycle, the electric motorcycle, the marketing module, and the willingness to consider module. The simulation results show an increasing trend in consumers’ willingness to consider electric motorcycles from 2017-2035, with the WTC value reaching 0.3209 in 2035. While this indicates a positive shift toward greater consumer interest in electric motorcycles, the growth remains modest and slow, reflecting the challenges of widespread adoption. Additionally, this study evaluates three government incentive and subsidy policy scenarios. The scenario results indicate that government subsidies and incentives can increase the consumers’ willingness to consider electric motorcycles in Indonesia, thereby increasing their market share. Among the scenarios, the purchase price subsidy is the most effective, as it directly reduces the financial barrier, encouraging more consumers to make the switch to electric motorcycles.

Abstract

The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is one of the solutions to reduce emission problems. Vehicle cost analysis is one of the keys to seizing the Indonesian market. As a consumer, it is not only the purchase price that needs to be considered, but the life cycle costs throughout ownership also need to be considered in the purchase. This study discusses the life cycle cost (LCC) of EVs in Indonesia, especially electric motorcycles (EMs), which will be compared with conventional motorcycles (CMs). In particular, this study aims to encourage the government's target for ownership of 2.1 million EMs in Indonesia by 2025. The novelty of this research is to develop a more comprehensive LCC model by considering the costs in terms of tangible and intangible to compare the two types of motorcycles using Monte Carlo simulation. This simulation is used to coordinate the behavioral uncertainty of motorcycle users. As a result, the value of an EM is more economical than CM for various users. The average value percentage of EMs is lower than CMs by 45% (IDR 30,6 million). In addition, several scenarios are also analyzed to maximize consumer welfare in Indonesia.

Abstract

Soybean self-sufficiency in Central Java Province is a problem that is difficult to realize at this time. As an important commodity, self-sufficiency becomes a serious concern for the government. Supply chain management of soybean is related to the integration of supply, demand, and distribution of soybean. The characteristics of entities involved in the soybean supply chain are complex, dynamic, and probabilistic that make the problem cannot be solved using an analytical model and it becomes too risky for trial and error. A suitable tool is using a simulation model. This paper deals with developing a Decision Support System (DSS) using a simulation model that will assist the government in adopting policies in order to achieve self-sufficiency of soybean and the improvement of farmer's welfare. DSS will help decision-makers to try various scenarios of policy in an easy way. The method was started with developing model components, then decision components, and next creating user interfaces. The simulation and system modeling is created by using Powersim software with the intent to obtain the simulation and single document interface (SDI) of the supply chain model. The result shows that land expansion policy is a top priority for realizing food self-sufficiency while increasing productivity and reducing costs of agricultural activities are the main priorities for improving the welfare of farmers.

Abstract

Progress in developing electric vehicles (EVs) has resulted in substantial advancements in recent years. EVs can effectively reduce carbon emissions while allowing vehicle manufacturers to build a strong presence in emerging markets. Nevertheless, the rapid growth of EVs in Indonesia requires more significant expansion. The lack of sufficient facilities to cope with the demand for EVs has led to customer reluctance to adopt this mode of transportation. Also, there is a notable hesitancy among manufacturers and business professionals to engage in the production of EVs and the establishment of charging infrastructure. This hesitation arises primarily from the lack of apparent market demand, which may be attributed to the significant investment costs associated with these ventures. This study, therefore, aims to develop an Annual Cost of the System (ACS) cost model to assess and select potential economically feasible and operationally feasible investments for the provision of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Stations (SPBKLU) services in Indonesia. When creating investment decisions, it is necessary to take into consideration a range of feasibility analysis variables, including but not limited to Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PBP). Moreover, this study additionally performed a sensitivity analysis to determine actionable recommendations for individuals within the business community.
