Abstract

Technology has become a crucial part of the learning process and a facilitator of the interaction between students and teachers. Spatial ability is a crucial ability in mathematics learning and success in STEM. In this case, Augmented Reality (AR) in mathematics learning can facilitate the abstraction of mathematics that represents a new representation of mathematics concept. The objectives of this study were to develop an application using AR which was further used to improve the spatial ability of Junior High School students. Meanwhile, the method used in this study was RD using the ADDIE model and quantitative approach through t-test. In this case, 64 students of 8th grade in Junior High School were involved as the research samples, where 32 students were in the control class and 32 students were in the experimental class. The results of this study were that the AR application was feasible to use in mathematics learning and its application enabled teacher and students to learn solid geometry using Augmented Reality with the object that can be manipulated, interact in real-time, and measure objects in the real world. It was also obtained that the learning outcomes of students who used the application were higher than the learning outcomes of students who did not use application, indicating that the application could increase stdudents spatial ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ini mempunyai tujuan menemukan efektifitas model pembelajaran projek based learning dan model pembelajaran SAVI yang ditinjau dari penalaran matematis dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini juga menemukan perbedaan rata-rata model pembelajaran projek based learning dan model pembelajaran SAVI ditinjau dari penalaran matematis dan memecahkan masalah.

Abstract

Hubungan Berpikir kritis dengan pembelajaran matematika merupakan hubungan yang sangat erat dan kuat, karena kemampuan berpikir kritis memberikan arahan yang lebih tepat kepada siswa dalam berpikir, bekerja, menyelesaikan masalah dan membantu lebih akurat dalam menentukan keterkaitan sesuatu dengan lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya keterkaitan kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dengan Kemandirian Belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei, sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis korelasi dan regresi sedehana. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 1 Paguyangan Kelas II Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian berupa adanya keterkaitan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan kemandirian belajar, hal ini dapat dilihat dari uji regresi sederhana antara kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Jadi penelitian ini telah terbukti bahwa kemandirian belajar mempunyai keterkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diartikan semakin tinggi kemandirian belajar maka kemampuan berpikir kritis semakin baik. Sebaliknya jika kemandirian belajar rendah maka kemampuan berpikir kritis semakin menurun.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menyelidiki bagaimana transformasi Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) dari tiga calon guru matematika di sebuah Perguruan Tinggi di Tasikmalaya. Mereka berpartisipasi dalam praktik mengajar di sekolah dengan desain pembelajaran berbasis TPACK yang menjadi tuntutan dalam praktik pembelajaran untuk membangun pendekatan yang lebih efektif terhadap proses belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyajikan hasil tentang pembelajaran matematika melalui desain yang menunjukkan pengaruh pengajaran desain pada pengetahuan konten matematika, pedagogis, dan teknologi secara khusus.

Abstract

Abstrak. The use of new educational approaches and technologies can be beneficial in and core competencies in education. Numerical Literacy provides students with an effective learning environment to improve math and other 21st century skills. This study aims to explore and synthesize the best application of numeracy literacy in learning mathematics and increasing 21st century mathematics competence. The research method chosen in this study is a systematic literature study. There are several studies related to numeracy literacy in mathematics learning to improve 21st century mathematical competence. The search for relevant databases was carried out in studies published from 2018 to 2022 which examined numeracy literacy and 21st century mathematical competence in formal education. Based on the results of the systematic literature produced that mathematical literacy in learning mathematics must pay attention to the content of the lesson, the method of learning must be problem and project based, and learning must be cooperative. In addition, numeracy literacy in mathematics learning can improve 21st century mathematical competence, especially in solving problems. Abstract. Penggunaan pendekatan pendidikan baru dan teknologi dapat bermanfaat dalam dan kompetensi utama dalam pendidikan. Literasi Numerasi memfasilitasi siswa dengan lingkungan belajar yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika dan keterampilan abad 21 lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan membuat sintesa mengenai penerapan literasi numerasi terbaik dalam pembelajaran matematika serta dampaknya terhadap kompetensi matematika abad 21. Metode penelitian yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka yang sistematis. Ada beberapa penelitian yang berkaitan dengan literasi numerasi dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kompetensi matematika abad 21, Pencarian data base yang relevan dilakukan pada studi yang diterbitkan tahun 2018 sampai dengan 2022 yang mengkaji tentang literasi numerasi dan kompetensi matematika abad 21 pada pendidikan formal. Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan sistematik literatur dihasilkan bahwa literasi matematika dalam pembelajaran matematika harus memperhatikan isi pelajaran, metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran harus berbasis masalah dan project, serta pembelajaran harus bersifat kooperatif. Selain itu, literasi numerasi dalam pembelajaran matematika cenderung dapat meningkatkan kompetensi matematika abad 21 terutama dalam menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

Manusia mampu melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan apa yang ada dalam pikirannya, seperti kata Rene Descartes: Cogito Ergo Sum. Segala sesuatu yang ada di dalam pikiran berbentuk bayangan, yang dikenal dengan mental imagery. Manusia menghadapi suatu masalah tergantung pada kemampuan membayangkan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan masalah tersebut. Sementara itu, literasi matematika menuntut kemampuan untuk menerapkan matematika dalam memecahkan masalah sesuai dengan konteks kehidupan. Artikel ini menganalisis peran mental imagery dalam membangun literasi matematis. Metode penelitiannya adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis, terhadap buku atau artikel penelitian terdahulu, untuk menganalisis konsep mental imagery dan literasi matematis serta hubungan keduanya. Pembaca akan mendapat asupan teoretis, yang menjadi landasan ilmiah untuk mengoptimalkan peran mental imagery dalam pembelajaran matematika atau tindakan pendidikan modern.

Abstract

The habit of mind mathematics is an intelligent behavior that affects individual success because by having this behavior students can quickly and precisely find complex solutions to mathematical problems. This study aims to identify the habit of mind of mathematics teacher candidates based on their indicators. This quantitative study applies the Rasch model with as many as 245 research subjects as prospective teacher students in the 2021/2022 academic year. Rasch analysis is used because it assumes parameter invariance, meaning that the statement item parameters do not depend on the teacher candidate's ability parameters and vice versa. The Habit of mind instrument was used in the form of a questionnaire with 7 (seven) indicators totaling 54 statements. Before the questionnaire is used, face and content validity are carried out by experts. The results of Rasch's analysis show that the habit of mind mathematics possessed by prospective teachers in each class is different. Upper-semester students have a better habit of mind than early-semester students.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine how the ability of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of prospective teacher students in learning mathematics. The research method uses a qualitative approach with case studies. The data analyzed came from three groups of prospective mathematics teacher students with very good, good, and sufficient levels through concept understanding tests, vignettes, and interviews. The results showed that students with excellent and good academic abilities had relatively the same content, teaching, and student knowledge. Content knowledge is at level 1, teaching knowledge is at level 2, and knowledge about students is at level 1. At the same time, students with sufficient academic ability are at level 0 for content knowledge.

Abstract

Abstract. Students grow up with digital technologies so that they have new attitudes and learning styles for learning. Gamification enhances the involvement of students with the material and problems encountered. In this papper, we reflect on the design of gamification experience in mathematics learning using augmented reality for helping students understand and solve real world problems. We focus on designing applications for game-based learning and solving real-world problems for learning environments. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). This study focuses in analyze, design, and develop step. The result of this study is the first feature of the application is facilitating the students to measure the real-world object using digital measuring tools, the second feature of the application is facilitating the student to explore real world problems that accompanied by a virtual pet through augmented reality then get credits points for solving the problems and use the point to upgrage the virtual pet . The limitation of this study is the application needed a special operating system to operate properly, the device needed AR Core embedded device. Our finding that designing gamefy application needed careful consideration of game features to enhance the students’ involvement and intentive in mathematics learning with excitement.
