Abstract

The availability of family medicinal plants as living pharmacies has been widely used by the community. The increasing use of herbal medicines causes scientific information related to these medicines to have an important position for the public. Ideally, all scientific information in the form of electronic files can be obtained from the internet. However, this condition cannot be fulfilled because of the high cost of internet subscription. Therefore, the knowledge that develops in the community about medicines needs to be documented as well as possible so that it can be maintained and studied by the next generation. This study aims to improve students' literacy skills about living pharmacies through information and communication media for elementary school students in the 2021/2022 academic year. We was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method accompanied by library research activities. This was proven through a pre-test questionnaire at the beginning and the average result of 17 students was 70.65%. After students were given material in the form of reading material about living pharmacies, students' understanding increased by 13.42%. Based on these data, it was revealed that most of the respondents had good knowledge after being given a literature study about living pharmacies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems of food technology that has been growing rapidly at today, including the use of ingredients, which is the vital thing to be considered in its preparation. For Muslim community, the problem that arises is the number of food ingredients, both the main raw material and the additive material, which are difficult to trace their origin, whether they are from halal sources or not.  There is also a public perception concerning the clarity or label of halal food products purchased. It would impact the decision purchase of food product. This study used a case method using questionnaire for Moslem students in UPI Department of Culinary Study Program. Correlational analysis was done to find the correlation of conception on label food with purchase decision making. The result shows that there is  a sifnificant correlation between both respondents or consumers’ conception on label information of food ingredients and their purchase decision making. This is evident in the correlation which indicates the presence of a significant relation (r=0,546). It could be recomended that in any attempt to produce food, especially in Indonesia, food ingredients in terms of being halal and hygienic should be highly considered; therefore the producers should have a halal certificate of the authorities, which in this case Board of Indonesian Muslim Scholars (MUI).

Abstract

The utilization of the stems, leaves, and hulls of peanuts (Arachis hypogea) is not as popular as the seeds. This study aimed to investigate the chemical contents and pharmacological activities of A. hypogaea stems in-vitro and in-silico. This study was also completed with bibliometric analysis. The methanol extract (ME) was reextracted by ethylacetate to get ethyl acetate extract (EAE). The chemical contents of EAE were analyzed by phytochemical screening, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS), TPC (Total Phenolic Content), and TFC (Total Flavonoid Content). In-vitro and in-silico studies evaluated antioxidant potency, toxicity, and cytotoxicity toward MCF-7 cell lines. The results showed that EAE contained terpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenolics which were supported by LC-MS/MS data. The EAE was categorized as a very strong antioxidant and moderately active in both cytotoxicity and toxicity.

Abstract

The development of technology that is increasing in learning requires teachers to use a systematic model in the learning process that is integrated with ICT. One model that can be used in the learning process is using the SAMR model, which is a model in the learning process by integrating technology comprehensively. This model was introduced by Dr. Ruben Puentedura, a consultant in the field of education. This model uses a hierarchy to describe the cognitive level that can be obtained by using technology as a tool in the learning process. The process of using technology in learning must be understood in the right proportion and according to needs. The use of technology must be able to support the expected goals. The integration of ICT in the vocational education system has an influence on the role of educators and students. With ICT, educators are expected to be able to become facilitators and collaborators in the teaching and learning process so that students can play a more active role

Abstract

The "health promoting universities" strategy has gained popularity and a presence in the higher education system, particularly in universities. It is imperative for higher education establishments to prioritize the promotion of health within their student body and academic community. By safeguarding and boosting students' wellbeing, a strategy centered on encouraging healthy lifestyles has the potential to boost the university's contribution to health improvement and offer significant value to the community. Universities have the power to improve health promotion through community service and to make policies in this area through research and teaching. In order to investigate student behavior in relation to the standard aspects of the healthpromoting lifestyle profile, this project will undertake an intervention study involving 150 students with the goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle. A pretest and post-test control group design was employed in this investigation. The health-promoting lifestyle standard profile II questionnaire was the research instrument, and descriptive statistics and inference were employed for analysis at the .05 significant level. The outcomes demonstrated a noteworthy impact on the implemented measures. This study's findings indicated that interventions in learning environments successfully raised student behavior linked to a healthy lifestyle and its components.
