Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the value of conservation character in students by utilizing local resources in the coastal areas of Gorontalo Province. The research design used is the application of one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was performed using cluster sampling techniques with research subjects totaling 160 students spread across four elementary schools in the coastal areas of Gorontalo Province. Data analysis was performed using N-Gain and Anava 2 x 2 test to see differences in learning outcomes in the form of moral knowledge and moral goodness of conservation at each grade level and examine the difference in the total score of the pretest and the total score of the posttest. The results showed that the N-Gain value for knowledge about coastal natural resources was 0.74, moral conservation knowledge was 0.76, and moral goodness conservation was 0.84. Anava test results showed the level of class and type of test differed significantly on the character values of students with sig <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). That is, there are differences in the value of student conservation characters based on grade levels. Significantly the character value of grade 3 and grade 4 students shows the highest value compared to the grade value of grade 5 and grade 6 students. The application of science learning tools with conservation characteristics utilizing the local potential of natural resources in elementary school students in coastal areas can understand the character conservation of students in coastal areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a problem-based learning model based on higher order of thinking skills. The research method used is the ADDIE Research and Development model which is limited to the Analysis and Design Steps. The tools developed are RPP, LKPD, Assessment Instruments. The results of the research are that the HOTS-based and Literacy-based PBL learning device products have real characteristics in learning, arranged systematically with PBL syntax, will develop HOTS and student literacy. and the final product of the learning device meets the valid criteria seen from the validator score. Abstract

Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi ekosistem yang terdiri atas empat kategori yaitu, nominal, fungsional, konseptual, dan multidimensional. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah SMA N 1 Bolano lambunu, SMA N 1 Bolano dan MA N 1 Parigi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa untuk setiap sekolah yang dipilih melalui random sampling. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis deskriptif dan triangulasi data menunjukan bahwa peserta didik di kecamatan bolano lambunu masih kurang maksimal dalam menjawab soal-soal literasi sains. Terbukti bahwa dari empat tingkatan kemampuan literasi sains yaitu literasi nominal, fungsional, konseptual dan multidimensional, siswa hanya mampu menjawab sampai pada tahap kemampuan literasi sains nominal, fungsional dan konseptual dengan nilai persentase kemampuan literasi nominal yaitu 53% - 71%, literasi fungsional yaitu 12% - 31%, literasi konseptual yaitu 16% dan tidak ada peserta didik yang mampu sampai tahap multidimensional. Hal tersebut menandakan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas dan Madrasah Aliyah Kecamatan Bolano Lambunu masih sangat rendah karena belum maksmalnya guru dalam melakukan pembelajaran yang eksplisit dalam melatih keterampilan proses sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrpsikan keanekaragaman jenis dan Kemelimpahan serangga tanah di Cagar Alam Panua Gorontalo. Objek penelitian ini adalah serangga tanah yang terdapat di kawasan cagar alam panua gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Pitfall trap. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif yakni untuk menghitung nilai keanekaragaman (Hl = -∑  (Pi lon Pi) dan kemelimpahan serangga (KRi = ∑  Ni/N x 100 %). Hasil penelitian pada hutan cagar alam  menunjukan Indeks Keanekaragaman (Hl= 2,0567), lahan perkebunan menunjukan Indeks Keanekaragaman (Ĥ= 0,8921). Nilai Indeks Kemelimpahan serangga di hutan cagar alam terdapat 9 spesies dengan memiliki persentase keahadiran, Cordiocondila sp. 10,18 %, Camponotus sp. 5,30 %,  Paratrechina longicornis. 11,71 %, Anolepsis sp. 20,37 %, Diacama sp. 5,09 %, Captotermes cuvignatus 9,16 %, Biatella germanica 4,07 %, Pheidole sp. 12,73 %, dan Tetraponera allaborans 21,38 %. Indeks Kemelimpahan pada lahan perkebunan terdapat 3 spesies dengan memiliki persentase keahadiran, Cordiocondila sp. 21,43 %, Camponotus sp. 64,29 %, Tetraponera allaborans 14,29 %.

Abstract

This case study aims as a basis or reference for solving students' cognitive-behavioral problems, can have more data to be carried out in the next stage of management, analyze students' cognitive-behavioral problems and align each related element. The case study method used is a qualitative method, with a phenomenon and psychology approach because it involves the cognitive behavior of students in learning management. The method of data collection was done by interview and observation. This case study was carried out by taking 2 students as samples, as well as several teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Limboto. In the data analysis technique, the writer divides the problem identification, analysis, synthesis, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and follow -up continued. The results of the case study, from the identification of problems these students experienced cognitive-behavioral problems in the form of learning difficulties in learning management. Analysis, students' cognitive problems, namely the difficulty of understanding mathematics, science, and English, lack of willingness to learn, language difficulties, having a shy character, sibling conflict, and verbal bullying experienced students. In synthesis, students lack the motivation to learn, feel lazy to learn, and have a sense of hatred towards a particular subject and conflict. Diagnosis, Internal factors within students and external to their environment. Prognosis, if the problem is not immediately addressed, then what can happen is that no knowledge is transferred and learning achievement will decrease. Treatment, homeroom teachers, and teachers must always cooperate, provide advice to students, and teach slowly until they find comfort in learning. As a follow-up, students can be included in competitions, for example in Sports and the Arts, which are their favorite subjects. Inform parents about problems and treatments that must be carried out as well as those carried out at school.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan proses sains mahasiswa semester VII yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Kimia Analitik III. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan analisis tentang permasalahan lingkungan masih rendah. Penerapan Project Based Learning ini dengan melibatkan mahasiswa secara langsung di luar kelas dalam mengembangkan sejumlah keterampilan proses sains untuk menganalisis kualitas air sungai di Lokasi Wisata Desa Meranti Kecamatan Tapa Kabupaten BoneBolango. Kualitas air sungai Desa Meranti ditentukan berdasarkan parameter warna, rasa, bau, pH, dan analisis logam berat. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara berkelompok dengan tahapan 1) menentukan proyek, 2) merancang langkah-langkah penyelesaian proyek, 3) menyusun jadwal pelaksanaan proyek, 4) penyelesaian proyek, 5) menyusun laporan dan publikasi hasil proyek, dan 6) evaluasi proses dan hasil proyek. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre Experimental Design. Indikator keterampilan proses sains yang diteliti meliputi: 1) menyajikan data dalam bentuk grafik, 2) mengumpulkan dan mengolah data, 3) merancang penelitian dan 4) melaksanakan eksperimen 5) membuat laporan akhir.

Abstract

The seagrass ecosystem is an ecosystem that is very important to support the sustainability of the biota that take shelter in it. The seagrass ecosystem is known as one of the areas that is vulnerable to damage. Various human activities, such as fishing and industrial activities can trigger this damage. This study aims to provide information regarding the description and level of degradation of the seagrass meadow ecosystem in Uwedikan Village. The method used is random sampling method. The results showed that there were 5 species of seagrass found, namely Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea Serullata, Cymodocea rotundata and Halophila ovalis. Seagrass cover averaged 40.60% at Tanjung Balean and 33.1% at the Tambatan Perahu. This is included in the moderate/less rich category. The highest seagrass cover was for Thalassia hemprichii with a total of 2,169 individuals at Tanjung Balean and 1,453 at the Boat Mooring. The relationship of water parameters, namely temperature, degree of acidity (pH) and brightness greatly affect the growth of seagrass ecosystems. In particular, the temperature at the two locations obtained different values, namely 29--30.5°C at Tanjung Balean and 30--35.3°C at the Tambatan Perahu.

Abstract

Wild plant Pemphis acidula in coastal habitats is often associated with microbes on their root, stem, or leaf. The objective of the study was to reveal the endophytic bacteria associated with Pemphis acidula in the coastal area of Gorontalo, the study antibacterial activity of endophytic bacteria against pathogenic bacteria, and identify endophytic bacteria based on molecular characteristics. The Pemphis acidula sampling was conducted on three coastal areas of Gorontalo, including Biluhu beach, Dulanga beach, and Olele beach. The sample consists of the root, stem, and leaf of Pemphis acidula. The result showed that the endophytic bacteria were just found on the leaf. There were four isolates with similar morphological features. The antibacterial activity on a broad spectrum of two endophytic bacteria against both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, whereas two isolates others on a narrow spectrum against Staphylococcus aureus. The endophytic bacterial identify as Bacillus tequilensis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence and this isolate is closely related to Bacillus tequilensis strain 20Q9-B-4-13 OK653944.1.37-1458 on a similarity index of 100%.

Abstract

Chemistry lessons are subject matter whose concepts are often found in students' daily lives, but many teachers have not been able to integrate the phenomena of chemistry and the potential of local plants into learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the potential of local plants as content and learning media based on local wisdom. The results of the study show that several types of plants found in the tourist area of Meranti Village can be used as chemistry learning content and media. These plants, namely belimbing wuluh flower, softwood flower and red spinach can be used as natural indicators instead of synthesis indicators for testing acid and alkaline solutions and Sago from sago trees is developed as a learning medium for molecular shape models

Abstract

Mangrove merupakan komunitas tanaman pepohonan yang hidup dihabitat payau dan berfungsi sebagai pelindung daratan dari gelombang laut yang besar. Hutan mangrove juga merupakan komunitas vegetasi pantai tropis yang didominasi oleh beberapa spesies pohon mangrove yang mampu tumbuh berkembang pada daerah pasang surut pantai berlumpur. Mengingat pentingnya fungsi kawasan mangrove, perlu diterapkan atau digalakkan prinsip melindungi, mempelajari dan memanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis mangrove apa saja yang ada di wisata mangrove Desa Binuanga, Kecamatan Bolangitang Timur, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Sulawesi Utara. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan metode jelajah secara langsung yaitu mendeskripsikan data temuan yang diperoleh dengan identifikasi tentang keanekaragaman. Hasil dilapangan menujukkan terdapat 5 jenis mangrove yang ada di kawasan hutan mangrove Desa Binuanga Kecamatan Balangitan Timur Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Sulawesi Utara. Adapun jenis-jenis mangrove yaitu Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum dan Avicennia sp. yang terdiri dari 4 familiy yaitu: Rhizophoraceae, Verbenaceae, Meliaceae, Lythraceae. : ekosistem mangrove di lokasi penelitian masih sangat terjaga, hal ini dikarenakan kepedulian masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam menlindungi, merawat, dan menjaga ekosistem tersebut.
