Abstract

This study aims to compare the implementation of the independent curriculum of two institutions in Sukoharjo District, namely TK Teladan and RA STIBA AZKIYAA. The study used a descriptive research approach to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum at Teladan Kindergarten. Data was collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research was conducted for 3 months and used the principal and accompanying teacher of class B2 of Teladan Kindergarten and RA STIBA AZKIYA as research informants. The differences researchers found in implementing the independent curriculum in TK Teladan show the full utilization of the independent curriculum. In contrast, RA Stiba Azkiya is still in the process of fully implementing the curriculum. The findings suggest that Teladan Kindergarten's approach, which supports active learning, is highly effective in allowing children to explore and develop discipline and responsibility. However, RA Stiba Azkiya needs further time and support to implement the independent curriculum fully. Evaluations differ, with TK Teladan evaluating after each lesson and RA Stiba Azkiya reporting every 3 to 6 months. Both institutions recommended providing more intensive training and support to teachers to improve the implementation of the self-directed curriculum.

Abstract

The rise of pulp and paper production due to market’s demand will also increase both main and secondary products of pulp. Secondary products such as pulp sludge have low economic value, but high environmental cost. Therefore it needs improved technology input to raise its value. This study aims to evaluate the ability of Phanerochaete chrysosporium, a combination of Penicillium citrinum and P. oxalicum and a mixture of those three fungal species in decomposing pulp sludge after one and six months incubation. The pulp sludge was collected from pulp company in North Sumatera, Indonesia and it was pre-treated prior to composting. The composting was conducted by inoculating P. chrysosporium, a combination of P. oxalicum and P. citrinum or a mixture of those fungal species with a density of 107 spores/ml into 15 kg treated sludge. The inoculated sludge was then incubated for one and six months. Analysis was held for the non-inoculated and inoculated sludge regarding pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC) (me/100 g), macronutrients (N, P, K, Ca and Mg) (%), micronutrients (S, Zn) (ppm) and heavy metals (Pb, Cd) (ppm). After one month incubation, P. chrysosporium was leading in enhancing sludge’s macro and micronutrients. After six months incubation, a combination of P. oxalicum and P. citrinum generated higher P, K, CEC and reduced lead content of the sludge. Meanwhile, a mixture of the three fungus species produced the highest N and Mg.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of instructional leadership and data-driven planning on the performance of public vocational high school (SMK) teachers in Semarang Regency. A quantitative approach was employed using an ex post facto method with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 247 productive/vocational SMK teachers in Semarang Regency. Proportional random sampling was used to ensure representation from each school, resulting in a sample of 156 teachers. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires that were tested for validity using Pearson’s product-moment correlation and for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha to ensure their validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that instructional leadership partially contributes 18.3% to SMK teacher performance, while data-driven planning contributes 19.8%. Simultaneously, both variables have a combined effect of 26.7%. These findings suggest that improving SMK teacher performance requires effective instructional leadership and well-implemented data-driven planning. Collaboration between learning-centered leadership and effective data utilization and management supports teacher performance in achieving high-quality learning. Teachers are expected to improve their data literacy so that data use is not merely administrative but also analytical and strategic. This study is expected to serve as a reference for education policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable strategies to enhance teacher performance.
