Abstract

Malang area is one of the strategic areas that holds many cultural remains from the traditional kingdom period (Hindu-Buddhist period). One of them is the yoni site which was found in the area of SD Negeri 1 Dinoyo. In this regard, this article aims to discuss about the use of yoni sites in the school environment as a support for thematic learning at the elementary school. Especially for thematic learning at SD Negeri 1 Dinoyo. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach. The main topics of discussion in the study include: 1) the potential of Hindu-Buddhist sites in the Malang area, 2) the concept of edutainment learning, and also discusses about 3) the use of edutainment-based historical sites for thematic learning at SD Negeri 1 Dinoyo. So that it can be seen the important role of sites in the school environment (yoni site int the area SD Ngeri 1 Dinoyo) as well as the potential and advantages possessed by the edutainment method in supporting the achievement of thematic learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to strengthen teachers' ability to teach local history in schools by conducting workshops targeting history teachers in Pasuruan City and Regency. This activity is based on the results of a previous problem analysis, which shows that teachers still have difficulty obtaining local historical sources. Methodology: This study used a quantitative experimental method by treating teachers and observing the results through statistical data analysis. Main Findings: This study shows increased teachers' abilities after the workshop. This increase is proven by a t-test, which shows a difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of 6.57. At the end of the activity, participants were also given guidance on writing articles related to local history and integrating them into the independent curriculum. The findings of this study indicate that after attending the workshop, the participants, who were history teachers, experienced an increase in their understanding of local history. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to history learning and offers practical insights for improving the quality of history teachers.

Abstract

Ammonia synthesis in conventional industrial plants typically employs fused iron-based catalysts under harsh conditions—temperatures of 400–700°C and pressures exceeding 300 atm—resulting in significant energy consumption. This study investigates the potential of using a Mn0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 catalyst, synthesized under varying sintering temperatures and magnetic field inductions, to enable ammonia synthesis under milder conditions. Additionally, process optimization was carried out using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD). Catalyst characterization results indicate that the crystallite size of Mn0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 increases with higher sintering temperatures. The catalyst exhibits a near-spherical morphology with notable agglomeration. Magnetic property analysis shows that samples sintered at 700°C and 900°C display ferrimagnetic behavior, while the sample sintered at 1100°C exhibits ferromagnetic characteristics. Temperature-Programmed Reduction (TPR) revealed a maximum reduction peak at 788°C for the catalyst sintered at 1100°C, indicating enhanced reducibility. Ammonia formation was successfully achieved using a Helmholtz coil-assisted synthesis method, where the produced ammonia was captured in acidic and basic media in the form of NH₄OH and (NH₄)₂SO₄, confirming the catalytic activity of Mn0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4. The RSM model demonstrated high accuracy with an R² value of 99.73%, and residual analysis confirmed normal distribution, validating model assumptions. The optimal synthesis parameters determined were a sintering temperature of 700°C, magnetic induction of 0.14 T, and a reaction temperature of 28°C. The minimal deviation between predicted and experimental responses confirms the reliability and predictive accuracy of the quadratic regression model.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to study the Majapahit Excursion as a field school model for history students to enhance academic competence and practical skills through the exploration of historical remains in Mojokerto, while also fostering imagination, learning motivation, and integration of local-national history. Methodology: This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of field study. The subjects of the study include students from Mojokerto. The research instruments consist of observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation, while data collection techniques are conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Main Findings: Research findings indicate that the Majapahit Excursion program is capable of enhancing students' understanding of the archaeological remains of Majapahit, developing skills in toponymy analysis and local historical interpretation, strengthening collaborative abilities in the field, as well as introducing the local wisdom of the Majapahit Kingdom and its relevance in modern life. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the formulation of a field school model based on the Majapahit heritage in Mojokerto, which not only focuses on strengthening historical theory but also on integrating students' empirical experiences with local history learning. This model can serve as a strategic alternative in the development of site-based history curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Introducing and ptimalizing the results of cross-cultural studies and toponymic approaches in history education as an effort to improve the competence of history teachers. Specifically, to connect local historical sites in classroom learning, and to respond the requirements of the Merdeka Curriculum in providing essential, relevant, and in-depth learning materials. Methodology: This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with elements of development research. The implementation of the service is based on specific stages, namely 1) observation and preliminary studies, 2) recommendations for activities, 3) curriculum design and special tools, 4) course implementation, 5) evaluation of activities, and 6) plans for sustainable activities. Main Findings: The result of this community service activity is the improvement of teachers' abilities to utilize local potential, especially in the use of local historical sites through a toponymic approach and cross-cultural Nusantara. Novelty/Originality of this study: The integration of cross-cultural and toponymy approaches is an interesting and rare offering in teacher professional development. This is especially in the utilization of local historical sites as medium for contextual learning media in response to the challenges of a curriculum based on local history.
