Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the potential content of the Canggu Inscription to be used as an alternative learning resource for high school students, as well as to determine the opportunities and relevance of using the Canggu Inscription as a historical learning resource. In this research, the library research method was used. With the help of a content analysis approach, using the library study stages. In this writing, we utilize literature studies originating from several journal articles, books, official websites that are relevant and appropriate to the topic discussed. This study will also provide alternative additional material related to the Canggu Inscription, including a description of the contents of the Canggu Inscription, life in government, economics, religion, as well as patterns of diplomatic relations and trade bureaucracy that occurred at that time, which is linked to the content of learning outcomes so that it will can be used as an alternative learning resource for students, especially at class X high school level.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia is located in a disaster-prone area. It has been recorded that since the Hindu-Buddhist era, disasters have also occurred. Curriculum requirements also require learning related to the environment. There is a need to learn the history of disasters to increase awareness of disasters. Learning using inscriptions as a source is necessary because it records various events regarding disasters and their mitigation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method which emphasizes the analysis of historical phenomena seen from descriptive data. The data source used by the author is data found around the area where the inscription was found. The sources used are the Harinjing, Rukam, Warungahan, and Katiden I and II inscriptions. The results of this research, the inscription also mentions mitigation in its efforts to preserve the environment. The inscriptions that mention disasters are the Harinjing (flood), Rukam (mountain eruption), Warungahan (earthquake), and Katiden I and II (forest fire) inscriptions. Disaster history learning can be done using content and context aspects. The aim of the history subject, point 6, is to develop moral, humanitarian and environmental values as the basis for developing environmental historical contexts in learning. There are problems related to disasters and this is in accordance with the needs of history learning objectives, so inscriptions are included in the potential as a historical source that is included in class X high school learning because the material is related to Hindu- Buddhist. Abstrak: Indonesia terletak pada wilayah daerah rawan bencana. Tercatat sejak masa Hindu-Buddha, bencana juga sudah ada. Kebutuhan kurikulum juga menuntuk pembelajaran terkait lingkungan. Perlunya pembelajaran sejarah kebencanaan untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan akan bencana. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan prasasti sebagai sumber diperlukan karena mencatat berbagai peristiwa mengenai bencana dan mitigasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dimana menekankan pada analisis fenomena sejarah dilihat dari data deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan penulis adalah data temuan ditemukan di sekitar wilayah penemuan prasasti. Sumber yang digunakan yaitu Prasasti Harinjing, Rukam, Warungahan, dan Katiden I dan II. Hasil dari penelitian ini prasasti juga menyebutkan terkait mitigasi dalam upayanya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Adapun prasasti yang menyebutkan tentang bencana yaitu Prasasti Harinjing (banjir), Rukam (gunung meletus), Warungahan (gempa bumi), serta Katiden I dan II (kebakaran hutan). Tujuan mata-pelajaran sejarah poin ke 6 berbunyi menumbuhkembangkan nilai-nilai moral, kemanusiaan, dan lingkungan hidup menjadi dasar pengembangan konteks sejarah lingkungan dalam pembelajaran. Adanya masalah terkait bencana dan hal tersebut sesuai dengan kebutuhan tujuan pembelajaran sejarah, maka prasasti masuk dalam potensi sebagai sumber sejarah yang masuk pada pembelajaran kelas X SMA karena materi terkait Hindu-Buddha.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman budaya di masyarakat memiliki ciri khas dan keunikan yang berbeda. Gresik dengan segala keanekaragaman masyarakatnya, berakulturasi dengan budaya lokal yang ada. Tradisi Sanggring di Desa Gumeno Kecamatan Manyar Gresik menjadi budaya lokal yang dilaksanakan masyarakat. Sejarah dan keunikan tradisi tersebut, membuat tradisi tersebut dapat terjaga dan menjadi kebiasaan sampai saat ini. Dari keunikan tradisi Sanggring, guru dapat menjadikannya sebagai salah satu materi pembelajaran sejarah. Tepatnya pada materi sejarah lokal masyarakat pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Tujuan penulisan artikel adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah dan perkembangan tradisi Sanggring, serta tradisi Sanggring sebagai materi penanaman budaya lokal. Penggunaan metode sejarah dan studi pustaka digunakan dalam penulisan artikel untuk mengkaji dan mengeksplorasi pembahasan tradisi Sanggring. Tradisi Sanggring menjadi hasil budaya dari Kerajaan Giri, masa Sunan Dalem. Pengintegrasian materi budaya lokal dalam Kurikulum Merdeka dapat disesuaikan, salah satunya dengan penggunaan sumber-sumber sejarah. Peserta didik dapat belajar, mengenal, dan memahami budaya lokal di lingkungannya.

Abstract

Laboratorium sebagai bagian dari lingkungan belajar memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Namun, pengelolaan yang kurang optimal sering kali menghambat fungsinya dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang kondusif dan inovatif. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan digitalisasi laboratorium sejarah melalui videografi yang terintegrasi dengan platform digital lainnya, sehingga menciptakan sumber belajar yang inovatif, mudah diakses, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan di era Society 5.0. Pengabdian ini menerapkan metode Research and Development (R&D). Subjek pengabdian meliputi 120 siswa dan 10 guru, sementara subjek uji coba terdiri dari 60 siswa yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara terstruktur, dengan instrumen yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan laboratorium yang baik berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa dan efektivitas pembelajaran, sejalan dengan tujuan utama pengabdian. Simpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa laboratorium berperan penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran interaktif dan kontekstual. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini mencakup rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan laboratorium sebagai upaya memperkaya sumber belajar.

Abstract

In addition to competence as an educator, cultural understanding and cultural awareness are also important for a history teacher to have. History teachers have an obligation to provide multicultural perspectives to their students. Indonesia, a country that consists of various ethnicities, cultures, and religions, requires history teachers to fulfil this obligation. Therefore, teachers must have a strong foundation and teach how these cultures live and coexist. Through the implementation of the cross-cultural course, this research aims to improve teachers' professional competence, foster, and strengthen their cultural awareness, and broaden their understanding of cross-cultural history materials. This study used a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving giving a pretest before socialization (treatment) and then conducting a posttest afterwards. In our treatment We involved lecturers from the Department of History, Universitas Negeri Malang, as well as the East Java history teachers. In this study, we measured cultural awareness using a questionnaire. Furthermore, we used t-test on SPSS 26 application to calculate validity, reliability, and analysis test. The results of this service showed that the cultural awareness of East Java history teachers increased after attending the training. In addition, the creation of infographic learning media has equipped the teachers with new skills.

Abstract

Lasem, a small town on the north coast of Java, has long been recognized as a meeting point for various global cultures, especially since the heyday of the Nusantara's maritime trade. This article explores Lasem's role as a cultural crossroads between Chinese, Javanese, Arabs and Europeans, which is visible in various aspects of community life, such as art, language, cuisine and local traditions. Through a historical and ethnographic approach, the research highlights how cultural interaction and assimilation in Lasem shaped a unique local identity, while contributing to wider cultural dynamics in Indonesia. The article also discusses the challenges Lasem faces in maintaining its cultural heritage amidst modernization and globalization, as well as the efforts of local communities in preserving their rich history and culture. The results of this research are expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of cultural crossovers and their impact on local identity formation in the Southeast Asian region.

Abstract

This research aims to develop website-based teaching materials with environmental history material integrated with eco-pedagogy. This is an effort to provide new insight for undergraduate History Education and Teacher Professional Education (PPG) undergraduate students at the State University of Malang majoring in history regarding environmental history and eco pedagogy. This research uses Borg and Gall's development research method, which is adjusted to the research conditions in the field. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively, while the questionnaire data was calculated qualitatively and quantitatively for the student respondent test. The results showed that ecohistory scored 82.89% for website-based teaching materials. This shows that this teaching material is feasible and can be used efficiently. The success of this trial is a good indicator of its potential future application in a classroom learning environment.

Abstract

Learning media is a link between teachers and students. Through learning media, teachers are facilitated in delivering lesson materials so that students can understand the lesson more easily and quickly. Learning media can be in visuals, audiovisuals, and physical forms such as educational games, question cards, and teaching aids. This study aimed to determine the results of implementing the learning media product "Mobile Legends Edu Strategy" in the IPS subject for class IX (Phase D), which discusses globalization. To the study's objectives, this research was designed as research and development (R&D). The development model used is ADDIE. The implementation trial was conducted on 30 students in grade IX (Phase D) of SMPN 19 Malang. This study aims to determine the results of the implementation of the "Mobile Legends Edu Strategy" learning media in the subject of social studies on globalization material. Data were collected through media expert assessment sheets, class teacher assessment questionnaires as material experts, student learning test results as quantitative data, and interviews with teachers and students as qualitative data. The techniques used in the collection included questionnaires and documentation. The discussion shows that the "Mobile Legends Edu Strategy" learning media has proven feasible and effective in improving the social studies learning process, with an 88% eligibility level. The aspect of media appeal obtained 89%, the aspect of media ease 80%, and the element of material suitability 85%. This media was also evaluated to improve the clarity of the display, expand the question bank, add learning resources and instructions for globalization material, and motivate students to learn and present an exciting learning experience. In conclusion, using the "Mobile Legends Edu Strategy" learning media positively impacts students' motivation to participate in learning and understanding related to globalization material. This media increases understanding and the desire to learn together or individually.

Abstract

In social studies learning in class IX, there are students who experience learning boredom, many students sleep during lessons and make noise in class. This is because teachers use lecture methods too much, teacher-based learning, and lack of varied learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts of social studies teachers in overcoming learning boredom through domino aurora learning media in class IX at SMPN 19 Malang. The research method used is qualitative with a case study type. The results of the study stated that domino aurora learning media is able to overcome student boredom, this can be seen from the absence of students who are sleepy during class hours. The inhibiting factors for this media are that students must have sufficient literacy skills and be able to be careful in arranging cards. While the supporting factors for domino aurora media are cooperation between group members, being able to overcome student boredom, students feel happy learning while playing and eliminating the stigma of boring social studies learning. The conclusion of this study is that through domino aurora (DORA) media, it is able to overcome social studies learning boredom in class IX students of SMPN 19 Malang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada guru guna memberikan penyadaran sejarah. Meskipun banyak guru yang sudah memiliki dan menghayati nilai-nilai toleransi, keterbukaan, dan kerjasama dalam kehidupannya. Akan tetapi, kebanyakan masih belum tahu caranya mengaplikasikan atau merelevansikan kondisi di masa lalu dan masa kini. Bahkan beberapa guru masih rancu dalam memahami konsep, teori, dan contoh kasus sejarah persilangan budaya. Oleh karena itu, tim penelitian berupaya untuk memfasilitasi kesenjangan pengetahuan itu dengan mengorganisasikan sebuah kursus sejarah persilangan budaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan mengikuti beberapa langkah: (1) Analisis Situasi; (2) Rekomendasi Kegiatan; (3) Perancangan kurikulum dan perangkat pembelajaran untuk kursus sejarah persilangan budaya Nusantara via Google Classroom; (4) Penyusunan Buku Saku “Identitas Hibrida Masyarakat Ambon”; (5) Promosi kegiatan; (6) Penjaringan peserta kegiatan; (7) Pelaksanaan Kursus; (8) Evaluasi kegiatan penelitian by google form; (9) pengumpulan infografi sejarah; dan (10) Rencana tindak lanjut kegiatan. Sebagai tindak lanjut, kegiatan ini akan tetap dilakukan tahun depan dengan tetap menggandeng MGMP Sejarah Jawa Timur, Secara bersambung, tim penelitian akan tetap berkoordinasi dengan MGMP Sejarah Jawa Timur untuk menentukan lokasi kegiatan tahun depan, Tim penelitian akan mengombinasikan kegiatan luring (diskusi panel dan ekskursi situs) dan daring (via webinar).
