Abstract

The world of Islamic boarding schools currently faces a major challenge in aligning traditional values ​​with the demands of global competence. This journal analyzes the crisis of human resource formation in Islamic boarding schools that causes a gap in the quality of graduates in the digital era. Using the Maslahah framework, this study explores how Islamic boarding schools can transform without losing their identity. This study aims to formulate a Human Resource Crisis Based on the Maslahah Concept as an effective strategy in maintaining the welfare of the public and educational institutions. Through literature studies and qualitative analysis of cases of human resource crises in the quality gap in the digital era, this model proposes five pillars of communication in maslahah: Speed ​​and Informative Honesty (Hifz al-'Aql), Decisions that Guarantee the Safety of Life (Hifz al-Nafs), Fair and Transparent Resource Allocation (Hifz al-Mal), Strengthening Solidarity and Public Morality (Hifz al-Din and Hifz al-Nasab), and Restoring Long-Term Welfare. The results of the study indicate that the integration of digital literacy based on Maqasid al-Shariah is a strategic solution to close this quality gap, so that Islamic boarding school graduates are able to become agents of change that are relevant to the needs of the times while still upholding the principle of the welfare of the people.

Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) at State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) has predominantly emphasized administrative efficiency and academic performance, while the integration of transformational leadership and spiritual values remains insufficiently institutionalized. This study aims to analyze how integrating transformational–spiritual leadership into HRM practices strengthens lecturer competence in PTKIN in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach with a multi-site design, the study was conducted at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, and IAIN Ponorogo. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving institutional leaders, senior and junior lecturers, and purposively selected students. The findings reveal that transformational–spiritual leadership is systematically operationalized within HRM practices, particularly in lecturer recruitment, professional development, performance evaluation, and participatory decision-making processes. This integration shapes lecturer competence not only in academic and professional dimensions but also in personal integrity, intrinsic motivation, ethical commitment, and service orientation. The study contributes to leadership and higher education governance literature by demonstrating that transformational–spiritual leadership functions as an integrated governance logic rather than a symbolic or individual leadership attribute. Practically, the findings offer a strategic framework for PTKIN to enhance academic competitiveness while preserving Islamic identity and moral legitimacy within the global higher education landscape.

Abstract

The era of Society 5.0 requires educational institutions to integrate intelligent technology with human-centered values. This study analyzes the Public Relations strategy of SMP PGRI 2 Bandar Lampung in building the school’s reputation amid rapid digital change. A qualitative case study approach was used through in-depth interviews and observations of online and offline communication activities. Data were analyzed inductively and validated through source and method triangulation. The findings show that the school implements a Symmetrical Digital Transformation Strategy consisting of Reputation Building, which strengthens digital narratives and internal relations, and Issue Management, which emphasizes two-way communication and accurate handling of misinformation. This strategy enhances public trust and community participation, although challenges remain regarding digital literacy gaps. The study highlights the importance of balancing technology, human values, and digital leadership in developing a sustainable reputation.

Abstract

Dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat yang baik diperlukan aparat yang memiliki mobilitas tinggi untuk berkerja dengan penuh kesadaran. Salah satu abdi masyarakat adalah pegawai negeri sipil. Pokok masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah : (1) bagaimana upaya pimpinan (camat) dalam meningkatkan kinerja aparat pemerintah pada Kantor Camat Sukarame?; (2) apa faktor-faktor pedukung dan penghambat upaya pimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Camat Sukarame ?. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif, metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan pendekatan kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1). upaya pimpinan (camat) dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Sukarame mempunyai tiga aspek peran: Pertama, penunjuk jalan : esensi dan kekuatan peran sebagai penunjuk jalan adalah dimilikinya visi dan misi yang kuat; Kedua, menggalang, terdiri dari pemastian bahwa struktur, system, dan proses operasional organisasi mendukung tercapainnya visi dan misi organisasi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dan semua skateholders; Ketiga, pemberdayaan, yaitu kemampuan menyelesaikan segala persoalan yang ada
