Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on e-learning using Google Sites with the Tri-N approach (Niteni, Nirokake, Nambahi) to enhance students' learning motivation in the Statistics material for eighth-grade junior high school students. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Data were collected through initial needs observation and product validation by media and material experts. The product developed is an interactive e-learning media containing teaching materials, instructional videos, practice exercises, and assessments based on the Kurikulum Merdeka. This media is designed to facilitate students' learning activities through the stages of Niteni, Nirokake, and Nambahi, with the expectation of encouraging active participation in the learning process. Due to time limitations, this research was conducted only up to the expert validation stage; practicality and effectiveness tests were not carried out. The validation results indicate that the Tri-N-based e-learning media is suitable for use in Statistics learning. In the future, this media has the potential to be further developed for other materials and educational levels as an innovative digital learning alternative for teachers and students.

Abstract

The background of this research is that student learning outcomes in analytical geometry lecture during the transition from pandemic to Covid-19 endemic are still low, which is due to a lack of student interest in learning, and they are still accustomed to online learning, thus having an impact on their low problem-solving skills and mathematical disposition. This research aims to determine to what extent the implementation of ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect can improve students' problem-solving skills and mathematical disposition in analytical geometry lecture during the transition from pandemic to endemic COVID-19, so the research is important to do. The implementation of ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect in mathematics learning is unique because it is a combination of learning approaches that have never been used before in Indonesia and other countries. The research method used was a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design because this research was experimental and sample determination was not carried out randomly, but using purposive sampling technique on the second-semester students of the mathematics undergraduate program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran. The instruments used in this study were problem-solving skills test, mathematical disposition scale, and students’ attitude questionnaire toward learning with the implementation of ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect. The results showed that: (1) problem-solving skills of students who received learning by implementing ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect are better than students who achieved direct instruction; (2) mathematical disposition of students who received learning by implementing ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect is better than students who achieved direct instruction; and (3) students are interested and motivated to learn mathematics by implementing ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect. This research concludes that the implementation of ethnomathematics and the Mozart effect can improve students' problem-solving skills and mathematical disposition in analytical geometry lecture during the transition period from the pandemic to endemic COVID-19. It can be seen from good average post test scores achieved by students.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is a foundational competency that plays a critical role in early childhood and primary education, enabling students to make sense of and respond to real-life problems embedded with quantitative elements. Despite numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing numeracy skills at these educational levels, such efforts have often been fragmented and lack a coherent pedagogical framework. In response, the Indonesian Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education launched the National Numeracy Movement as a large-scale initiative to improve numeracy learning outcomes. However, a significant gap remains in the form of a clear instructional framework that can guide early childhood and primary educators in implementing this movement effectively within the classroom context. Addressing this gap, the present study proposes a comprehensive instructional framework termed the GEMBIRA model—an acronym for Gali dan Eksplorasi konteks yang dekat dengan siswa (Explore contexts close to students), Muat konten numerasi hasil eksplorasi (Embed numeracy content from exploration), Buat aktivitas yang bermakna (Design meaningful learning activities), Ikuti alur pikir siswa dalam evaluasi (Follow students’ thinking in evaluation), and Rayakan dan Akhiri pembelajaran dengan menyenangkan (Celebrate and conclude the learning joyfully). The GEMBIRA model is theoretically grounded in Ethno-Realistic Mathematics Education, emphasizing the integration of local cultural contexts and realistic mathematical experiences, particularly in numeracy learning. This study employed an integrative literature review method to construct a robust theoretical framework for the model. The resulting framework offers a practical and contextually relevant pedagogical tool for educators to implement the National Numeracy Movement, particularly at the early childhood and primary school levels. By rooting instruction in culturally familiar and mathematically rich contexts, the GEMBIRA model holds the potential to foster stronger foundational numeracy skills and contribute to students’ long-term academic success.
