Data analysis techniques in this study used the Spearman correlation statistical test. The results showed that there was a relationship between reward and the implementation of sharia nursing services with a p-value of 0,05 and there was a relationship between supervision with the implementation of sharia nursing services with a p-value of 0,01. The results of this study were expected to be considered by hospital policy stakeholders to review the giving of rewards for nurses and the implementation of work supervision to nurses to improve the quality of sharia-based nursing services.

Abstract

Based on BPS data in 2017, around 25 million Indonesians still defecate openly. Many factors influence the ownership of latrines, but research related to factors of employment, family monthly income, and support from community leaders for latrine ownership in Aceh Barat Daya Regency is still rarely done. This study aimed to determine the relationship between employment, family monthly income, and support from community leaders on latrine ownership. This cross-sectional study with a sample of 100 respondents who were randomly selected and scattered in sub-districts was conducted in the urban area of Aceh Barat Daya Regency, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province. Questionnaires related to respondent characteristics, employment, family monthly income, and support from community leaders, as well as latrine ownership, were collected directly by the researchers through face-to-face interviews from September-October 2021. The statistical tests used were Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney with a significance level of p-value<0.05. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between employment (p-value=0.604), family monthly income (p-value=0.118), and support from community leaders (p-value=0.615) on latrine ownership. In conclusion, there is no relationship between employment factors, family monthly income, and support from community leaders for latrine ownership in Aceh Barat Daya District, Nanggroe Aceh Darusalam province. Village to district governments can offer policies that ensure that every house, owned or rented, must be equipped with proper sanitation facilities. This program can work well if it involves the community, local stakeholders, and landowners.

Abstract

Schizophrenia often causes emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression, which are common mental health problems. Third-wave cognitive therapy such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) in treating anxiety disorders, depression, and anxiety is a practical choice. This literature review aims to identify, evaluate, and synthesize the literature on acceptance and commitment therapy and its application to anxiety in patients with schizophrenia. It also integrates knowledge and experience with the medical literature. The method used is a systematic literature review by analyzing several articles using electronic databases, including ProQuest, Google Scholar, and PubMed. The results of ten selected journal articles demonstrate that ACT is effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. ACT is effective at treating symptoms of anxiety and depression, and ACT is more effective at treating symptoms of depression than any other available treatment.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a high risk in vulnerable groups with low immunity, such as children. Environmental factors and household contacts influence the high incidence of tuberculosis. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between housing conditions and the presence of household contacts with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children. This study used a case-control design. This study used a case-control design at the Puskesmas Kedaton Bandar Lampung from December 2023 to January 2024. The total sample was 58 children (29 cases and 29 controls), selected using Simple Random Sampling. The variables of this study were residential density, humidity, lighting, floor type, ventilation area, and the presence of household contacts. This study used univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with chi-square, and multivariate with multiple logistic regression. This study shows that there is a relationship between lighting (p=0,008), ventilation area (p=0,032), and the presence of household contacts (p<0,001) with the incidence of pulmonary TB in children. The factor most associated with the incidence of pulmonary TB in children was lighting (OR=6.061; 95% CI=1.768-20.777), which means children with home lighting that does not meet the requirements have a 6.061 times higher risk of experiencing childhood pulmonary TB than those who meet the lighting requirements. There is a relationship between lighting, ventilation area, and the presence of household contacts with the incidence of pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis in the Puskesmas Kedaton, Bandar Lampung working area.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease and is a major chronic and long-term health problem in society. If uncontrolled, it tends to worsen due to complications. Diabetes mellitus requires long-term treatment. This study aims to determine the factors that affect adherence to pharmacological treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in farmers. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 165 farmers who were selected by purposive sampling. This study was conducted from May to June 2024 in the working area of Sukadamai Community Health Center, Natar, South Lampung, Indonesia. Data were collected based on questionnaires. The results showed that adherence to pharmacological treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus is directly related to age (b=-1.601; 95%CI=-3.260-0.583; p=0.059), self-motivation (b=2.500; 95%CI=0.856-4.144; p=0.003), duration of illness (b=1.587; 95%CI=0.209-0.964; p=0.024), and family support (b=2.840; 95%CI=1.311-4.369; p=0.000). There is an indirect relationship between education and adherence through the knowledge variable (b=0.962; 95%CI=0.307-1.617; p=0.004). Indirectly, education is related to adherence through income (b=2.363; 95%CI=1.618-3.107; p=0.000), self-efficacy to adherence through self-motivation (b=0.261; 95%CI=-0.657-1.180; p=0.577), and family support through self-motivation (b=2.287; 95%CI=1.361-3.214; p= 0.000). Healthcare workers should repeatedly provide counseling on primary education materials, such as the importance of continuous control, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, and other secondary prevention measures to prevent complications in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
