Abstract

Salicylamide belonged to the class of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) which had analgesic and antipyretic effects similar to salicylic acetyl acid but were not converted to salicylic acid in the body. When used orally, salicylamide did not cause inflammation and bleeding in the stomach. Salicylamide was a weak acid compound (pKa 8,2) whose solubility was affected by the environmental pH. On oral administration, salicylamide passed through the digestive tract in the pH range of about 1,5 - 8,0. According to the Noyes-Whitney equation, drug dissolution was affected by its solubility. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the solubility and dissolution of salicylamide in several pH dissolution media. Solubility tests were carried out in dissolution media with pH 1,2, 4,5, and 6,5 with an ionic strength (µ) of 0,2 in a water bath at 37 ± 0,5 °C until a saturated solution was formed. The dissolution test was carried out in a dissolution media solution with the same pH as the solubility test, using a paddle type stirrer at 50 rpm at 37 ± 0,5 °C for 60 minutes. The level of dissolved salicylamide in the solubility test and dissolution test was determined using a spectrophotometer at λmax for each pH of the medium. Salicylamide solubility and dissolution efficiency values in 60 minutes (ED60) were analyzed by one-way ANOVA at α 0,05. The results showed that the solubility of salicylamide increased with increasing pH. Increasing the solubility of salicylamide increased its dissolution. Keywords: Salicylamide, Ph Effect, Solubility, Dissolution, Noyes-Whitney equation

Abstract

Abstract

This research reexamines the concept of nusyuz in the context of the social media era, highlighting how digitalization affects the dynamics of household relationships. Traditionally, nusyuz refers to the behavior of a wife who leaves the house without her husband's permission. However, in the digital era, this definition has expanded to include various forms of online behavior that challenge authority or norms within the household. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, this research explores how nusyuz behavior is expressed in online interactions and how this affects household stability. The research results show that intensive and uncontrolled use of social media can trigger conflict and disharmony, expanding the traditional boundaries of nusyuz into the digital realm. These findings urge the need for digital education and adaptive policies to address new challenges arising from digital interactions in husband and wife relationships. This research offers in-depth insight into the adaptation of social and cultural norms in the face of shifts in power and self-expression brought about by the digital era.

Abstract

In retail companies, the owner needs sales analysis to make decisions in the company's business processes. Several previous studies have introduced forecasting techniques using regression analysis, and classification approaches that need optimization. This article proposes a new approach to sales prediction using XGBoost, which is optimized by comparing the best performance from three optimization methods: Random search, grid search, and Bayesian optimization. The aim is to obtain the best comparative analysis and increase prediction accuracy. The novelty of the proposed model is determining the best value for each optimization method using XGBoost. The results of the evaluation show that the best results were achieved by the grid search optimization technique in the XGBoost model with an increase in the evaluation value R^2 from 97.31 to 98.41. The results of the proposed model analysis can help retail business owners in accurate sales predictions to determine the development of business processes.

Abstract

This research aims to test whether there is a contagion effect on capital markets in ASEAN-5 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2022. The research took samples based on the closing prices on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IHSG), Malaysia Stock Exchange (FTSE), Singapura Stock Exchange (STI), Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and Philippine Stock Exchange (PSEI) index for 3 years starting in 2020 and ending in 2022 using the documentation method. This research is quantitative research based on the empirical testing of data. This research uses the contagion effect method, which aims to see the effects of risk transmission that can occur when a shock or crisis occurs in a capital market. The results show that there was a contagion effect on the capital markets in ASEAN-5 countries for 3 years during the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from that, the contagion effect that occurs in the ASEAN-5 capital market shows that the capital markets in ASEAN are interconnected with each other so that if a problem occurs in one capital market, the effects can be felt and spread to the capital markets of other ASEAN countries. The COVID-19 pandemic spread and had an impact on capital markets in ASEAN-5 due to the relationship or integration between their capital markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine legal issues related to personal data protection in Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as to assess the principle of due process of law and its implementation in ensuring legal certainty in personal data protection, particularly in Case No. 46/Pid.Sus/2023/PN.Slt. The research employs an empirical juridical method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The data consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary sources. The findings indicate, first, that both Indonesia and Malaysia are committed to protecting personal data as part of human rights. Indonesia has enacted the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and its derivatives, while Malaysia has implemented the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. These frameworks demonstrate that both countries possess adequate legal structures to safeguard their citizens’ privacy in the digital era. Second, the application of the due process of law principle in the context of personal data protection—as illustrated in Case No. 46/Pid.Sus/2023/PN.Slt—highlights the importance of transparent, fair, and equitable legal enforcement. The implementation of this principle provides legal certainty for individuals concerning the collection, processing, and protection of their personal data. Upholding due process of law also prevents abuse of authority by law enforcement and ensures that any action taken in handling personal data complies with lawful and accountable procedures.
