Abstract

Purpose: This systematic literature review (SLR) analyzes tourism marketing communication, uncovering successful strategies and emerging trends. It covers branding, digital marketing, social media, and more, while assessing effectiveness across various contexts. Research Methodology:  Systematic literature review was conducted by analyzing 31 journals related to marketing communication, which addressed strengths, limitations, biases, and gaps, and answered the research objectives and questions coherently. Results: The discussion of the research questions revealed insights into the impact of digital marketing communication strategies on the promotion and visibility of tourist destinations (RQ 1). It is evident that digital strategies utilizing various online channels, real-time updates, and search engine optimization play a pivotal role in enhancing destination visibility. The influence of marketing communication on tourists' decision-making processes (RQ 2) was illuminated, highlighting the role of marketing communication at every stage of the traveler's journey. Marketing communication significantly shaped tourists' decisions, from creating awareness to post-trip engagement. Cultural, social, and environmental factors were found to influence the effectiveness of marketing communication strategies in sustainable and responsible tourism (RQ 3). Sensitivity to local culture, commitment to sustainability, and messaging of eco-friendly practices were pivotal in aligning communication with responsible tourism. Limitations: The literature reviewed may be limited to a specific time period; therefore, trends and strategies that emerged after that period were not covered. This affects the relevance of future findings in digital marketing communication. Contribution: This SLR contributes to a comprehensive understanding of marketing communication strategies in tourism, offering insights into their impact, relevance, and alignment with responsible practices.

Abstract

The number of agricultural workers in Pulosari Village is sufficient, but many young people and communities choose to work outside the agricultural field. The availability of manpower for farming activities in Pulosari Village is low, so that agricultural machinery assistance is needed to achieve the planting target. Management of existing farming business namely tractor, Trans planter, Thresher, Power Weedier, Sprayer and Combine Harvester. The role of combined groups of farmers and counsellor in developing rice cultivation through introduction and supply of farming, can improve farmers skill so that the development of agricultural tools and machinery can be used by farmers and do not negatively affect the labour of farm laborers and positively affect the level of wage of labour. The research objectives are: to know the availability of man power, to know the management of rice farming and to know the role of Farmers Group Unions in realizing the independence of farmers in farming in Pulosari Village Kebakkramat District Karanganyar Regency.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore deeper on Work Ethic and Multiple Livelihood Strategies of Forest Farmers Households of KTH Wonosewu members who live in Sewurejo Village, Mojogedang District, Karanganyar Regency. This research design uses a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques were done using observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, literature study, and fishbone analysis. Data were analyzed using the Interactive method of Miles & Huberman in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are that KTH Wonosewu forest farmers have a high work ethic in managing agriculture and implementing a dual livelihood strategy by also working in the livestock sector. The work ethic possessed by KTH Wonosewu forest farmers is shown by future-oriented work motivation, respect for time, and responsibility for their work. The existence of a high work ethic and the efforts made by implementing a dual livelihood strategy, so KTH Wonosewu forest farmers have been able to improve their welfare bit by bit. This research can provide insight into the high work ethic and the application of diversification of income sources to encourage welfare improvement.

Abstract

In increasingly fierce coffee shop competition marked by the significant growth in the number of coffee shops in recent years, extra efforts need to be made to understand consumer needs and desires. A better understanding of these aspects can be used as a reference in developing marketing strategies to increase consumer repurchases. This is the background for this research to analyze the factors that drive repeat purchase decisions. This research conducted a case study on Start Up Coffee Gorontalo. The population in this research are consumers who visit Surplus 88. Multiple linear regression analysis techniques were used to test the research hypothesis. The research results found that promotions and service quality can significantly encourage repurchase interest. To encourage repeat purchases, promotions need to be intensified by providing attractive discounts, providing membership cards with various attractive rewards, offering products at competitive prices, and offering cross promotions with other products. Intention to repurchase is also influenced by service quality which can be improved by ensuring employees appear neat, provide professional service, provide fast and responsive service, employees understand well the various products offered, and employees can communicate well with customers

Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the transformation strategy of the community revolving funds ex national program for rural independent community empowerment (DBM Ex PNPM MPd) into a joint village-owned enterprises (BUM Desa Bersama). The research method in this article is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The transformation strategy for the DBM Ex PNPM MPd Program into a BUM Desa Bersama is carried out by (1) Transferring assets, by means of capital participation sourced from 25 villages in Kanor District and sourced from the DBM Ex PNPM MPd. (2) Institutional Transfer, the transfer of a government poverty alleviation and empowerment program, namely UPK Ex PNPM MPd, to a community-owned business entity that has a legal entity and aims to overcome poverty by empowering the community or also called BUM Desa Bersama. (3) Transfer of Personnel by forming a joint BUM Desa organizational structure involving the DBM Ex PNPM MPd Activity Manager by considering the suitability of organizational needs and good governance practices. (4) Transfer of business activities, Community Revolving Fund (DBM) / savings and loan business activities which are UPK DBM Ex PNPM MPd business activities to become the main business activities of the joint BUM Desa Bersama. Apart from that, it also develops other businesses such as the establishment of a PT LKM and participation in the BPJS Employment shield agent.

Abstract

This research examines the educational role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) in empowering communities through livestock activities. Case study in Ngrancang Village, Tambakrejo District, Bojonegoro Regency. The research location was chosen because the majority of the people are farmers. The aim of the research is to examine the educational role carried out by BUM Desa in livestock businesses to provide benefits to the community in the social and economic fields at the local village level. Data from the Ministry of Villages PDTT for 2023 explains that in Tambakrejo District there are 18 BUM Villages with BUM Village status, including: 7 villages with pioneer status, 2 villages with beginner status, 9 villages with developing status and not yet advanced status. , where the Village BUM in Ngrancang Village is included in the village with developing status. This research uses qualitative methods with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. BUM Desa was chosen as the driving force for the development of the local village economy and the main actor in managing livestock businesses in collaboration with the community. The role of village BUM education includes livestock management, animal care, natural resource management, and marketing of livestock products. The research results show that through education, BUM Desa has succeeded in increasing community productivity and income in the livestock sector. This research also identifies the challenges faced, such as limited business capital and human resources needed to increase the effectiveness of BUM Desa in livestock businesses.

Abstract

Professions in people's own lives are very diverse to achieve a better life, one of which is tile craftsmen. Nowadays there is a shift in the use of tiles, from what was originally traditional tiles to the main tiles in home making, the re-strengthening of social capital in building the economy of tile craftsmen through the sale of tiles is an important thing and needs to be considered. The objectives of this study are to analyze; (1) the role of social capital of tile craftsmen in tile production in Banjardowo, (2) the role of social capital of tile craftsmen in tile marketing in Banjardowo, (3) the driving and inhibiting factors of the role of tile craftsmen's social capital in the socioeconomic resilience of families, and (4) the role of social capital in the socioeconomic resilience of tile craftsmen's families in Banjardowo. This research uses qualitative research methods. The linking social capital that exists in tile craftsmen in the production process is that tile craftsmen in Dukuh Banjardowo have a direct relationship with other parties, namely the village, red soil suppliers, and capital providers (banks). Social capital linking is the cooperation of tile craftsmen with the village government and consumers. The driving factors in achieving the role of social capital are trust that is established between parties, trust in consumers and between parties, and there is support from the village government that is felt by tile craftsmen and the inhibiting factor is the transfer of land functions that provide shock to the production system.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the global COVID-19 pandemic crisis occurred which had an impact on the batik industry in Laweyan Village, namely a decline in sales of up to 60% and the threat of bankruptcy. The formulation of the research problem is what is the work ethic of women Laweyan batik craftsmen during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. There are two sampling techniques used in this research, namely snowball sampling which is used to look for informants for women craftsmen through key informants from the management of the Laweyan Batik Village Development Forum (FPKBL), and purposive sampling is used to find out whether the informant knows the data being sought. The research results found that women Batik Laweyan craftsmen had a work ethic during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was obtained through 10 dimensions of work ethic theory, which shows that female Laweyan batik craftsmen still had a work ethic when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred. This research concludes that Laweyan Batik craftsmen still have a work ethic even though they are experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Abstract

The government initiated a wellness and herbal tourism program, in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy with the Ministry of Health. This tourism cluster is prioritized because it has high impact in improving health, cultural and economic field. This type of tourism is considered would provide fresh air in the New normal situations that require people to remain side by side with the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The author examines concretely the marketing communication strategy of tourism stakeholders in developing the program to see how the establishment of wellness and herbal tourism based on local wisdom as an alternative in tourism industry, especially in the New normal era. The author uses a marketing communication strategy with the SOSTAC + 3Ms model of marketing communication analysis, which was popularized by PR. Smith. This theory is considered could describe the integrated marketing communication science in the tourism industry. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method, with an emphasis on the naturalistic inquiry paradigm. Direct interviews were conducted with competent primary sources who represent their fields. The results of this study describe the tourism stakeholders in Solo have been prepared for the development of the wellness and herbal tourism program, with a focus on the local wisdom of Solo's custom. However, the development and preparation of the wellness and herbal tourism program is deemed not optimal, because internal and external conditions are still hampered tourism business in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
