Abstract

The wedding party for the Javanese community is the main event from a series of the wedding events. The wedding reception was held twice in the Javanese community. The reception was held by female (bride) family and male (groom) family. Every event of the wedding has a different ceremonial procession. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of behavioral changes in the Javanese community in organizing wedding receptions or party and the factors which influence the organization of the wedding reception. The subject of this study is  Javanese society in Surakarta. This study was descriptive qualitative study and analyzed using behavioral sociological theory by BF Skinner and adapted theory by Robert K. Merton. The data collection in this study was used observation techniques involving 26 informants. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used was an interactive analysis technique that consists of three components. Those are  data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of the study showed that there has been a change in the implementation of a traditional wedding reception in Javanese society. The changes are the result of the adjustment between the old traditions of Javanese culture and modern changes. The changes cannot be separated from the role of couple’s parents as organizers. The parent’s decisions in this event is a part of the parent's response from the surrounding influences. The adjustments in organizing the reception is due to several factors including the change of parents’s mindset, the influence of the environment and others. The changes of series of processions in the wedding ceremony is a proof that Javanese society always changes following the times.Keywords: Behavior Changes, Culture Wedding, Java Community, Wedding Reception.AbstrakPesta pernikahan untuk masyrakat Jawa adalah kegiatan utama dari rangkaian kegiatan pernikahan. Resepsi pernikahan diadakan sebanyak dua kali di masyarakat Jawa. Resepsi pernikahan dilakukan oleh keluarga pengantin wanita dan keluarga pengantin laki-laki. Setiap kegiatan dari pernikahan memiliki prosesi upacara yang berbeda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan bentuk dari perubahan perilaku dalam masyarakat Jawa dalam mengorganisasi resepsi pernikahan atau pesta dan faktor yang mempengaruhi organisir resepsi pernikahan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Jawa di Surakarta. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori perilaku sosial dari B.F. Skinner dan teori adaptasi dari Robert K. Merton. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi meliputi 26 informan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perubahan dalam implementasi dari sebuah resepsi pernikahan yang tradisional di masyrakat Jawa. Perubahan tersebut merupakan hasil dari penyesuaian antara tradisi lama kebudayaan Jawa dan perubahan modern. Perubahan ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peran dari orangtua pengantin sebagai organisator. Keputusan orang tua dalam acara pernikahan adalah sebuah bentuk dari respon orang tua terhadap pengaruh sekitar. Penyesuaian dalam mengorganisasi resepsi terkait dengan beberapa faktor termasuk perubahan dari mindset orang tua, perubahan lingkungan dan yang lainya. Perubahan dari rangkaian prosesi dalam upacara pernikahan adalah bukti bahwa masyrakat Jawa selalu berubah dari waktu ke waktu.Kata Kunci: Perubahan Perilaku, Budaya Pernikahan, Masyarakat Jawa, Resepsi Pernikahan.

Abstract

The rise of technology has an impact on social behavior. One of them is the use of digital media devices, especially in Generation Z. Unrestricted screen time has an impact on Gen Z's physical, mental and social disorders. This study analyzes the tendency for screen time devices to be used more for entertainment, less for social communication, and even learning media. The behavioral pattern of excessive screen time device usage indicates addictive behavior. It has an impact on learning difficulties, reduces learning achievement, and even causes deviant behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the strength of social capital in controlling screen time behavior in Generation Z. The method used in this study was a mixed-method, a research approach that combines qualitative research with quantitative research. The concept of social capital is used to analyze social control over screen time behavior. Social capital is an ability that arises from trust in a community. The results showed that social capital can control the negative impact of screen time behavior on Generation Z, which is divided into three forms, namely ties: family, relatives, and neighbors; bridging: community leaders, communities; and linking: Schools, Education Offices, Youth Social Organizations. Social capital has the function of controlling the use of screen time on the device, selective time control, access to education, and motivation to prepare for a better future for Generation Z. Keywords: Generation Z; Screen Time; Social Capital  AbstrakMaraknya teknologi berdampak pada perilaku sosial. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan perangkat media digital, khususnya pada Generasi Z. Screen time yang tidak dibatasi berdampak pada gangguan fisik, mental dan sosial. Studi ini menganalisis kecenderungan waktu layar lebih banyak digunakan untuk hiburan, bukan untuk aktivitas sosial komunikasi dan bahkan media pembelajaran. Pola perilaku penggunaan perangkat waktu layar yang berlebihan menunjukkan perilaku adiktif. Hal tersebut berdampak pada kesulitan belajar, menurunkan prestasi belajar, bahkan menimbulkan perilaku menyimpang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan modal sosial dalam mengendalikan perilaku screen time pada Generasi Z. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran, yaitu pendekatan penelitian yang menggabungkan penelitian kualitatif dengan penelitian kuantitatif. Konsep modal sosial digunakan untuk menganalisis kontrol sosial atas perilaku waktu layar. Modal sosial adalah kemampuan yang muncul dari kepercayaan dalam suatu komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial dapat berpengaruh terhadap pengendalian dampak negatif dari perilaku waktu layar pada Generasi Z yang terbagi menjadi tiga bentuk, yaitu bonding: keluarga, kerabat, dan tetangga; bridging: tokoh masyarakat, komunitas; dan linking: Sekolah, Lembaga Pendidikan, Organisasi Sosial Pemuda. Modal sosial memiliki fungsi kontrol terhadap penggunaan waktu layar pada perangkat, kontrol waktu selektif, akses edukasi, dan motivasi dalam mempersiapkan masa depan yang lebih baik pada Generasi Z. Kata Kunci: Generasi Z; Waktu Layar; Modal Sosial

Abstract

Dukun bayi merupakan bagian integral kesehatan ibu dan anak dalam masyarakat. Praktek dukun bayi umumnya jauh dari prinsip keamanan dan kebersihan, sehingga dapat berisiko terjadinya kematian. Adanya pembinaan dukun bayi dilakukan dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kesehatan ibu dan bayinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mendapatkan informaansi mengenai praktek dukun bayi dan bagaimana perannya dalam kesehatan ibu dan bayi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan informan utama adalah wanita yang menggunakan jasa dukun bayi selama masa kehamilan hingga nifas. Informan diambil secara purposive sampling dan snowballing sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD) dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dukun bayi memiliki kemampuan khusus dalam hal supranatural. Oleh karena itu dukun bayi masih dipercaya untuk melakukan ritual dan upacara adat yang berkaitan dengan kehamilan dan nifas. Selain itu, dukun bayi dipercaya masyarakat untuk mendampingi ibu selama bersalin. Masyarakat telah tinggal lama dengan dukun bayi sehingga masyarakat lebih nyaman dan tenang apabila dukun bayi mendampingi dan memantau kemajuan persalinan. Dalam pembinaan dukun diajarkan untuk memastikan kebersihan selama proses persalinan. Dukun bayi telah mempraktekkan prinsip bersih sehingga dapat membantu menurunkan risiko terjadinya infeksi. Tradisi di masyarakat Kemurang salah satunya adalah pijat perut. Pijat perut sangat bertentangan dengan ilmu medis karena dapat menyebabkan rupture uteri maupun lilitan tali pusat pada janin. Hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan kematian pada ibu dan bayinya.

Abstract

This article in order to make formulation development centers in the umbrella industry Juwiring, Klaten. Beside that,this article describe to determine the potential production and marketing, the method used is the Baseline Research in order to identify the umbrella craftsmen work ethic. This is achieved through the identifiation of the production process: preparation of raw materials, forming and fiishing products, until the craft industry marketing umbrella. Second, by conducting a structured FGD industry centers on the development of an umbrella in Juwiring Work Ethics in the umbrella industry Juwiring high enough. This can be seen from the hours of work that are not familiar with the starting time of dawn until the evening before bed. Even when there is an order-melting craftsmen until late into the night with the involvement of all members of the family labor. Regerasi umbrella industry in Juwiring less able to run smoothly because most of the craftsmen elderly and young workers are not interested to continue business as pengajin umbrella. Abstract

Rational action is an action that has subjective meaning or meaning in determining what to do, what to think about the type of work, which is able to give better hope, by taking effective actions to achieve the goal of social economic resilience during the covid pandemic 19. In the midst of the imposition of restrictions on community activities, it has an impact on various sectors of people's lives both socially and economically, one of which is a decrease in the level of income felt by street vendors, due to the impact of the enforcement of operating hours and restrictions on community activities outside the home for activities , by doing positive thinking can give enthusiasm, trust, confidence in his ability to deal with problems effectively, by providing actions in the form of efforts from traders as actors in the informal sector, one of which is a trader. street vendors in the Maliaboro area. The research method used in this study is a qualitative naturalistic inquiry. The purpose of this research is how to act rationally with positive thinking in the effort of socio-economic resilience during the Covid pandemic by Malioboro Street Vendors. In the recovery process, all street vendors have carried out their mandatory vaccines, used masks, washed their hands, and kept their distance. In the process of creativity, they promote their products through online shoppe, tokopedia, and Instagram media. The conditions felt by Maliaboro street vendors are not only rational actions in economic resilience, they must also make efforts to overcome the risks faced in order to be able to survive in the PPKM policy period.

Abstract

The development of tourism objects in Beji cannot be separated from the role of the local Gapoktan. Gapoktan's main obstacle in promoting organic village tourism is the lack of knowledge about using social media. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the marketing communication strategy for Beji Makmur organic agrotourism by Gapoktan in increasing the number of visitors to Wonogiri. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive type. The informants interviewed were Gapoktan, PPL and visitors. The results of this study are Gapoktan as the manager in carrying out the marketing communication strategy for Organic Agrotourism in increasing the number of visitors including three marketing activities, namely first promotion, the second is personal selling and then the third is public relations activities

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap banyak sektor, termasuk sektor ekonomi. Salah satu sektor yang terkena dampak adalah Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM), dimana permintaan dari konsumen dan daya beli masyarakat turun akibat pandemi. Kondisi ini mengharuskan UMKM, termasuk industri rumah tangga batik, untuk dapat beradaptasi dan bangkit kembali di tengah situasi pandemi Covid-19. Untuk mencapai tujuan ketahanan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat, perilaku adaptif harus diterapkan agar produksi dan pemasaran produk tetap dapat berjalan secara rasional. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bisnis online pengrajin batik Laweyan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan sosial dan ekonomi mereka selama pandemi Covid-19. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah partisipatif, dengan melakukan pelatihan bisnis dan pendampingan yang berkelanjutan bagi pengrajin batik di Kelurahan Laweyan, Kota Surakarta. Pemilihan Laweyan sebagai lokasi dilakukan karena tempat tersebut merupakan pusat produksi dan penjualan batik, dan mayoritas penduduknya adalah pengrajin batik. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan bisnis online dan ketahanan sosial dan ekonomi pengrajin batik Laweyan selama pandemi Covid-19.

                                                                                                                                                      AbstractThe process of local elections is the right of every citizen to choose their leaders directly correspond running from an independent path to meet certain requirements. Concurrent local elections 2015 in Indonesia,  which is in North Central Timor  with a single candidate pair. Couples candidate election time carried out. This article is the result of research exploring: 1) analyzing the relationship between political communicator (single candidate pair) to the effects (voting behavior of society); 2) analyzing the relationship between the political message to the effect (voting behavior of society); 3) analyzing the relationship between media and interpersonal channels of the effect (voting behavior of society); 4) effects (voting behavior of society); As for the type of research is quantitative research with survey method. The study population was the whole community voters in District Kefamenanu City. The conclusions of the research and discussion is no relationship between political communicator with effect (voting behavior of society), there is a relationship between a political message to the effect, there is a relationship between are not have a relationship with the effects.AbstrakProses Pemilihan Kepala Daerah merupakan hak bagi setiap warga negara untuk memilih langsung pemimpinnya sesuai keyakinan dan penilaiannya terhadap calon yang diusulkan oleh masing-masing partai atau gabungan partai, atau yang mencalonkan diri dari jalur independen dengan memenuhi syarat tertentu. Pilkada serentak Tahun 2015 di Indonesia, salah satunya di Provinsi NTT, yaitu di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) dengan pasangan calon tunggal. Proses pilkada pasangan calon tunggal merupakan hal yang menarik karena sepanjang sejarah demokrasi dan sistem politik Indonesia baru pertama kali dilakukan. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang mengeksplorasi: 1) Menganalisis hubungan komunikator politik (pasangan calon tunggal) terhadap efek (perilaku memilih masyarakat); 2) Menganalisis hubungan pesan politik terhadap efek (perilaku memilih masyarakat); 3) Menganalisis hubungan media dan saluran interpersonal terhadap efek (perilaku memilih masyarakat); 4) Menganalisis hubungan model pendekatan sosiologis (agama yang dianut dan jenis pekerjaan) terhadap efek (perilaku memilih masyarakat); adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh masyarakat pemilih di Kecamatan Kota Kefamenanu. Adapun kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan adalah ada hubungan antara komunikator politik dengan efek (perilaku memilih masyarakat), ada hubungan antara pesan politik dengan efek, ada hubungan antara media dan saluran dengan efek, model pendekatan sosiologis (agama yang dianut dan jenis pekerjaan) tidak mempunyai hubungan dengan efek.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how drug dealers showed their identity communication. This research is a qualitative research which applied a case study as its research method. The data were collected by interviews. Then, the collected data were analysed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research took place at the detention centre of the Central Java National Narcotics Board. The conclusions of this research using four layers are personal, enacted, relational, and communal on the communication of identity theory by Michael Hecht. It show that partisipants hide or disclose their identities based on how others respond to them. The stigma of others triggered partisipants to hide their identities by pretending not to know, diverting the conversation about drugs or being silent, and feeling anxious. There were also identity gaps in: (1) personal and enacted layers, (2) personal and relational layers, and (3) personal and communal layers.

Abstract

In political communication, “blusukan” (impromptu visit) is called door to door campaign, in which candidates conduct face-to-face communication by visiting the people directly. This situation creates personal intimacy in the sense of there is no physical distance and formal protocolary distance. People can see the personality of their candidate leaders closely. This face-to-face communication meeting can be interpreted that the candidates "nguwongke" (humanizing), putting the people not onto the context of profit-loss-based rational relation (between the electorate and the elected), but putting them as partners inseparable from the successful candidate leader. This study is based on fieldwork in Surakarta during the mayor election, applied in-depth interviews with politicians. While in ancient times the leader conducted "blusukan" to know his people’s condition, “blusukan” during the campaign for Mayor Election is conducted to socialize or to introduce the couples to the people. Having known the candidates, people are expected to think of whether or not they will elect them.
