Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of class III students at SD Negeri 173292 Butar T.A 2022/2023. This study aims to determine the effect of student learning outcomes with the use of learning media Tree Charts and Smart Boards on Theme 5 Sub-theme 2 Weather Changes. Class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar Academic Year 2022/2023. Location The research was conducted at SD Negeri 1733292 Butar. The sample of this study were all students of class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar, which consisted of 2 classes, namely: Class IIIA (Experimental Class 1) and Class IIIB (Experimental Class 2). Class III A with a total of 20 students and class IIIB with a total of 20 students. The sample collection technique with Total Sampling is the selection of a sample where the entire population is selected as a sample. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Non Equivalent Multiple Group Design and quantitative data. The data collection tool used to determine student learning outcomes is an objective test with a total of 25 questions that have been tested for validation and reliability. From the data analysis with a sample of 20 students in experimental class 1 and 20 students in experimental class 2, it was obtained that the average of experimental class 1 was at Pre-Test 41 and Post-Test 82 while in experimental class 2 at Pre-Test 41.4 and Post- Tests 78.4. At a significant level ꭤ=0.05. Both classes are normally distributed because Lo<Lt is 0.116<0.190 (experimental class 1) and 0.176 (experimental class 2). Homogeneity test in the Post-Test experimental class 1 and experimental class 2 with Fcount<Ftable, namely 1.68<2.17. The t-test was carried out at the significant level ꭤ=0.05 that tcount>ttable is 1.874>1.685. The writer concludes that there is a significant effect of Tree Chart and Smartboard learning media on Theme 5 Sub-theme 2 Weather Change. Class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar Academic Year 2022/2023

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problems experienced in the learning process, namely conventional learning methods and rarely using learning media which causes students to feel bored and less interested in following the learning process without using learning media in the learning process in class. Students are more interested in learning media that displays moving images and sound (audiovisual/video). The purpose of this study was to: (1) to see the validity level of Stop Motion Animation Video Learning Media on Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Grade V Students at SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2013. (2) to see the practicality of Stop Motion Video Learning Media in Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Class V Students of SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2023, (3) to determine the level of effectiveness of learning from the results of the Development of Stop Motion Video Learning Media on Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Class V Students of SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2023. The research location for SDN 173468 Pulogodang Class V, Pakkat District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, consisted of 17 students. .This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages including: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. When the research was carried out from May to July 2023. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, validation sheet questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques were performed using quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of the study show that this stop motion animation video-based learning media is "Very Feasible". This can be obtained from the score given by media experts with an average breakdown of 4.68 in the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 93.6% in the "Very Decent" category. The results of the material expert validation show an average of 4.8 in the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 96% including the "Very Eligible" category. The validation results by education practitioners with a percentage of 89.2% are included in the "Very Eligible" category. Student learning outcomes showed an increase of 40.59. Where the average value before using learning media based on stop motion animation video was 47.35 and after using learning media based on stop motion animation video was 87.94. From the results of the research that has been described, it can be concluded that learning media based on stop motion animation video in learning Thematic Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" is feasible and effective to use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Smartbox learning media on students' Mathematics learning outcomes on fraction material in class V SDN 060874 Medan Perjuangan. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi- experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class V SDN 060874 Medan Perjuangan. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely class V-B consisting of 20 students as experimental class 1 and class V-A consisting of 20 students as experimental class 2. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and documentation. The instruments in this study used tests in the form of pretests and posttests that had gone through a series of tests, namely validity tests, reliability tests, difficulty level tests, discriminatory power tests and question distractors to ensure the quality of the questions. The data analysis technique was carried out through several stages, namely, normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the analysis showed that the average posttest score of experimental class 1 was 84.3 with a learning completion of 95%, while experimental class 2 had an average of 78.3 with a completion of 80%. The results of the hypothesis test calculation using the Independent Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.043 <0.05, with the acquisition of t-count (2.091)> t-table (2.024) so that it states that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of Smartbox learning media on learning outcomes in fraction material in class V SDN 060874 Medan Perjuangan.

Abstract

This article discusses the strategic role of traditional leaders in building harmonious communities while preserving cultural heritage. Amidst the challenges of globalization, traditional leaders serve as guardians of tradition and motivators in educating the younger generation about their cultural values. Through various community activities, traditional leaders create spaces for dialogue that strengthen social ties and cooperation among community members. In addition, they also act as mediators in resolving conflicts, using local wisdom-based approaches to achieve peaceful solutions. Thus, this article highlights the importance of traditional leadership in creating social harmony and preserving cultural identity in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Make a Match cooperative learning model assisted by flashcard media on the IPAS learning outcomes of Grade V students at SDN 060879 Medan Timur on the topic What Is the Shape of Indonesia? in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research population consisted of all Grade V students divided into two classes, namely class V-A as the experimental group and class V-B as the control group, each consisting of 30 students. The research instrument was a learning outcomes test in the form of pre-test and post-test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. The results of data analysis showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class was 73.67, which was higher than that of the control class at 61.33. The t-test results indicated a of 4.121 and a value of 2.001 at a significance level of 0.05, leading to the rejection of and acceptance of Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Make a Match cooperative learning model assisted by flashcard media has a significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of Grade V students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low understanding of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), particularly on natural resources material, due to the use of conventional teaching methods and limited learning media. This research aims to develop a diorama-based learning media using coconut fiber and to determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ learning outcomes. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 106163 Bandar Klippa with 25 fourth-grade students as the subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that the developed diorama media was categorized as highly feasible based on expert validation, including material experts (86%), test experts (85%), media experts (86%), and education practitioners (94.6%). The media was also considered practical for classroom use. In terms of effectiveness, there was a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in the average pretest score from 46.46 to 79.3 in the posttest, and learning mastery improved from 16% to 100%. In conclusion, the coconut fiber-based diorama learning media is feasible, practical, and highly effective in improving elementary school students’ learning outcomes on natural resources material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada Pelajaran IPAS kelas IV SD Negeri 101778 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen Quasi Eksperimental Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV dengan sampel penelitian menggunakan total sampling (26 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 23 siswa kelas kontrol). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest, lalu dilakukan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas (Shapiro-Wilk), uji homogenitas (Levene), dan uji hipotesis (paired sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media puzzle mengalami peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar dari 62,80 pada pretest menjadi 77,40 pada posttest. Sementara itu, kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional hanya mengalami peningkatan dari 55,45 pada pretest menjadi 66,36 pada posttest. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga hipotesis alternatif diterima. Temuan penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media puzzle dalam pembelajaran IPAS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV. Media puzzle terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang menarik, interaktif, dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dengan keikutsertaan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ensemble musik di SDN 060909 Medan. Ensemble musik merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan yang menekankan pada kerja sama, komunikasi, dan interaksi antaranggota, yang berpotensi mendukung pengembangan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 36 siswa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ensemble musik, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket tertutup menggunakan skala Likert. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dengan keikutsertaan siswa dalam ekstrakurikuler ensemble musik, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar r = 0,952 dan signifikansi sebesar p = 0,000. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kecerdasan interpersonal siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula partisipasi mereka dalam kegiatan ensemble musik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam perencanaan dan pengembangan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis kolaboratif di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 0401 Pasar Ujung Batu dengan tujuan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) kelas V dengan topik Indonesiaku Kaya Raya. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pengembangan, produk divalidasi oleh ahli media, materi, soal, dan bahasa untuk memastikan kelayakan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif memenuhi kriteria layak hingga sangat layak sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan telah sesuai dengan standar kualitas media pendidikan. Praktikalitas multimedia interaktif diuji melalui angket guru dan siswa setelah media diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Rata-rata skor praktikalitas mencapai 87,31% yang tergolong kategori sangat praktis. Efektivitas media ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari nilai rata-rata pretest 42,78 menjadi 78,70 pada posttest dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,62 dalam kategori sedang. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan multimedia interaktif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS. Dengan demikian, pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva dinyatakan layak, sangat praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS siswa kelas V.
