Abstract

Students' ability in writing drama text is influenced by several factors that occur in learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of learning media and students' independence in learning on the skills of writing drama texts of students in class XI of SMAN 21 East Jakarta. This research used experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class XI of SMAN 21 East Jakarta. The research sample was conducted using Purposive Sampling technique as many as 60 students who were divided into two groups, where 30 students learned using family movie drama media and the other 30 people learned using conventional media. The instruments used in this study are: Learning independence questionnaire and drama text writing skill test. The results showed that the use of family film drama media gave better results in the aspects of learning independence and drama text writing skills. The use of conventional media makes students learn through several stages or indirectly. The use of family film drama media is recommended in learning to write drama texts because it can provide a direct picture and increase students' learning independence and motivation

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan kesantunan tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskripsi. mengambil sampel dari observasi peneliti. Penelitian ini fokus untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan maksud tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung Podcast Deddy Corbuzier dengan Rara- Si pawang hujan mandalika. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa data lisan, yakni podcast Deddy Corbuzier tema tentang Rara Si pawang hujan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode mendengarkan bebas dan metode mencatat tanpa partisipasi. Rahasianya adalah mendengarkan dan merekam seluruh percakapan di podcast. Kajian dimulai dengan mendengarkan dengan seksama isi podcast dan merekam data dialog dalam podcast. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tindak tutur langsung lebih dominan daripada tindak tutur tidak langsung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the project-based learning learning model of school iteration movement activities on the speaking skills of students of SMP Negeri 2 Sukamakmur, Bogor Regency. This research was carried out in the 2021/2022 school year, the second semester in May in class VIII. The method used in this study is an experimental method with the pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design.. The sample technique used is Simple Random Sampling. This study used two classes, the control class and the experimental class. The instrument used in the form of a speaking test expresses opinions about the content of the reading, students are given readings in the form of short stories. The assessment indicator in the speaking skills test is that students must be able to indicate the intrinsic elements of short stories, namely themes, characters and characterization, settings, plots and mandates in front of the class. Liliefors test is used as a test for the normality of test results. The results showed that the results of testing the hypothesis using the t-test obtained tcount 6.03 > 2.00 = ttable at a significant level of 0.05 it turned out that tcount > ttable H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This means that there is a significant influence with the project based learning learning model applied in literacy movement activities on the speaking skills of students of SMP Negeri 2 Sukamakmur, Bogor Regency. The implication for learning Indonesian is that teachers can use project-based learning models in speaking skills in an effort to stimulate students so that students' brain abilities continue to develop and increase in acquiring lessons or in every teaching and learning activity.

Abstract

Reading interest is a person's desire to read without coercion, but currently, students' reading interest is relatively low, which significantly affects the quality of education. One factor contributing to this low interest is technological advancement, which leads them to use smartphones more than reading books. An example of this technological advancement is the Google Play Books application. This study aims to enhance students' understanding and reading interest using the Google Play Books application. Conducted at SMP Negeri 150 Jakarta, the study involved a population of 321 seventh-grade students, with VII-A chosen as the control group and VII-B as the experimental group. The study employed probability sampling with Simple Random Sampling technique for sampling. This quantitative study utilized True Experimental design with Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data analysis included Aiken'S V validity test, showing high and very high validity levels. The product moment correlation formula was used for empirical validity testing, indicating valid results. Instrument reliability was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha method, yielding CA (Cronbach's Alpha) = 0.890, indicating high reliability. Normality test results were 0.095 for the experimental group and 0.060 for the control group, while homogeneity was assessed using Levene's statistic, showing homogeneous data distribution. One Way ANOVA test showed a significance level of 0.035, indicating a value less than 0.05. This proves that using the Google Play Books application has an impact on students' reading interest between the experimental and control groups.

Abstract

Learning to write literature in higher education needs to prioritize creative learning so that students can feel the benefits of literary learning in honing 6C skills by the character of 21st-century learning. This research aims to describe the implementation of 21st-century 6C skills in learning to write literature in higher education through an adaptation novel approach. This research is art-based qualitative research. Observation and interview methods were used to obtain research data. The research was conducted on 80 students at Muhammadiyah University, Prof. DR Hamka, consisting of 68 women and 12 men. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods. Meanwhile, the validity of the data is carried out by theoretical triangulation. Theoretical triangulation in this research was carried out by examining the data obtained with theories originating from expert opinions or previously existing theories. The results of this research illustrate that the 6C skills of 21st-century learning (Critical thinking, Communication, Collaborative, and Creative skills, culture, and Connectivity) can be implemented in learning to write literature. Apart from that, the novel adaptation approach can help students improve their abilities in writing literature.

Abstract

In this study the aims to describe the literary psychological representation of the main character's personality, namely Suryani, in the film "Penyalin Cahaya" by Wregas Bhanuteja, using Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalysis theory, namely Id, Ego, and Superego. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method by describing the analysis results that have been found. The data and data sources used include scene images, monologues, and dialogues in the film "Penyalin Cahaya," with the data source being the film "Penyalin Cahaya" available on Netflix. Data collection techniques in this study involve observation, listening, note-taking, and categorization based on data grids. The findings of this research show that the ego personality structure yields balanced results with the id personality aspect. Suryani is depicted as a resilient figure in seeking evidence for the events that occur to her. However, in terms of the id personality aspect, Suryani engages in pleasures that have negative consequences, thus the superego aspect plays a role in providing Suryani with values external to her personality.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes the food delivery digital (video) advertisements by GoFood and GrabFood in Indonesia using Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis approach. It aims to uncover how language in these advertisements shapes social reality and communicates specific ideologies to consumers. Through text analysis, discursive practices, and socio-cultural context, the study evaluates how these advertisements serve as promotional tools and embed social values and norms influencing consumer identity and behavior. The qualitative descriptive methodology focuses on GoFood and GrabFood YouTube advertisments, highlighting the strategic use of language and visual representation. Findings indicate that GoFood “Breaking News” and GrabFood “Hematematika” advertisements optimize linguistic and structural elements to convey ideologies of efficiency and modernity. The discussion explores the implications of these findings within social and cultural practices and their impact on economic and social dynamics. The study contributes to developing more inclusive and representative communication strategies in digital marketing. Further research should investigate similar advertisements in different cultural contexts to understand the broader impact.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena interferensi bahasa Jawa terhadap bahasa Indonesia di tengah situasi kebahasaan masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk deskripstif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari tuturan kelompok masyarakat Jawa yang tinggal di Jakarta yang kemudian direkam dan ditranskripsikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam memperoleh data adalah metode padan dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap. Data yang ditranskripsikan dianalisis pada tataran kebahasaan untuk mengetahui interferensi yang terjadi. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya interferensi bahasa Jawa terhadap bahasa Indonesia pada tataran fonologi, morfologi, leksikon, dan sintaksis. Penyebab utama terjadinya interferensi ini adalah kebocoran diglosia masyarakat Indonesia yang tidak dapat menempatkan penggunaan bahasa secara tepat pada suatu situasi tutur.
