Abstract

Tahfiz Qur'an is one of the excellent programs that are widely implemented in Islamic-based schools, although it is not specifically mentioned in the national education curriculum. However, sometimes this excellent program is not aligned with the achievement of student memorization. One of the factors is poor management, with regard to that, this study aims to analyze the Qur'an memorization management applied by SMP-IT Ash-Shiddiiqi in achieving the set memorization target. This research uses a qualitative method, based on phenomenology. Data collection used observation, interview and documentation study techniques. The informants were taffiz teachers, school leaders and students. The results revealed that management is evidenced by planning activities which include setting student memorization targets, selecting and training muhafidz/muhafidzoh, selecting students, determining time allocations, creating memorization support programs. Implementation using the itqan method, this model is a method of memorizing the Qur'an by memorizing one by one verse of the Qur'an starting from juz 30. Program evaluation is carried out twice a month, for reporting the muhafidz report every day on the link that has been provided.

Abstract

This study examines how transformational leadership and workload drive teacher performance through innovative work behaviour and job satisfaction in a rural educational context. While previous studies have explored these variables separately, empirical evidence integrating leadership, workload, innovation, and satisfaction within rural education settings remains limited. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from 362 teachers in Kerinci District, Jambi Province, Indonesia, and analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results show that transformational leadership significantly influences innovative work behaviour (β = 0.386, p < 0.001) and job satisfaction (β = 0.120, p = 0.010). Workload emerges as the strongest predictor of innovative work behaviour (β = 0.578, p < 0.001) and job satisfaction (β = 0.648, p < 0.001). Furthermore, innovative work behaviour (β = 0.171, p = 0.015) and job satisfaction (β = 0.497, p < 0.001) positively affect teacher performance. These findings highlight that teacher performance in rural education is shaped not only by inspirational leadership but also by structured and manageable workloads that foster innovation and satisfaction. This study contributes to leadership and organizational behaviour literature by clarifying the mechanisms through which leadership and workload influence performance in developing-region educational contexts and offers practical implications for school leadership and educational policy.

Abstract

Teacher performance is an important indicator for assessing the effectiveness of educational management in schools, especially in efforts to improve the quality of education and ensure the sustainability of school organizational management. This study aimed to analyse the influence of organizational culture and principal leadership behavior on teacher performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction and job stress as managerial mechanisms. This study employed a quantitative, explanatory survey design. The study population included all public high school teachers in Jambi Province, totalling 5,105 people, and a sample of 375 people was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analysed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that this model has significant explanatory power. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.701 indicates that variations in teacher job satisfaction are largely explained by organizational culture and principal leadership behaviour, while job stress has an R² value of 0.670. Teacher performance has an R² value of 0.769, indicating that most of the variation in teacher performance is explained by organizational and psychological factors contained in the model. Organizational culture and principal leadership behaviour were found to have a significant influence on job satisfaction and job stress. Job satisfaction has a positive effect on teacher performance, while job stress has a negative effect, confirming the role of both as important mediating variables. Theoretically, this study strengthens the field of educational management by positioning organizational culture and principal leadership as strategic managerial instruments in improving teacher performance. Practically, these findings suggest that improving teacher performance requires an integrated educational management approach, including strengthening school organizational culture, instructional leadership, and the systematic management of teacher well-being.

Abstract

Women entrepreneurs within the creative sector of the Melayu Jambi community possess substantial potential to boost the local economy through culturally inspired products. Nonetheless, initial field observations and foundational data reveal that 68% of these business owners lack a distinct brand identity, 72% experience restricted access to digital marketing channels, and merely 35% engage actively with e-commerce platforms, leading to diminished market presence and diluted product competitiveness. A gap analysis based on these initial insights and a review of earlier studies shows that most empowerment programs concentrate on general entrepreneurial skills, while integrated branding and e-commerce support rooted in local cultural principles is scarce. Consequently, this initiative seeks to enhance women entrepreneurs' capabilities through culturally infused branding and e-commerce enhancement. The program used a collaborative approach and was implemented in five phases: needs assessment, social outreach, skill development, guidance, and evaluation. The outcomes indicate remarkable advancement in participants' branding acumen and digital proficiency, with average pre-test and post-test scores rising from 47.7% to 77.9%, bolstered by deliverables such as logos, product packaging designs, digital catalogs, and operational e-commerce accounts. In summary, this initiative promotes women's financial autonomy and contributes a culture-centric digital empowerment framework to studies on community-based creative industries.
