Abstract

This research aims to find out how to design and build an employee performance assessment information system using the rating scale method. The data collection methods used in this research were observation, interviews, library research, and a literature study. The research utilized the rating scale as the method for assessing employee performance. The author used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in system development. The review and analysis confirmed this research's success in developing an employee performance assessment information system using the rating scale method. The successful implementation of this system has had a positive impact by providing a solution to the challenge of performance assessment that is less than objective. With the existence of an employee performance appraisal information system, companies now have tools that can reduce the level of subjectivity in performance appraisals. Using the rating scale method in this system provides consistent evaluation standards, increases assessment accuracy, and presents a higher element of objectivity. In conclusion, implementing the employee performance assessment information system opens up opportunities for continuous improvement in human resource management. With a focus on objectivity and measurability, this system has the potential to become an invaluable tool in achieving company goals and vision.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to identify key factors in travel agent management and then differentiate their impact on the value creation of these companies. Researchers group methodologies for analyzing value creation in travel agencies into several main categories. The methods are interview and economic-financial analysis. Then we identify value creation indicators to determine economic value-added options, then we conduct empirical contrast. The research results reveal that travel agents, acting as intermediaries, have become highly relevant, absorbing nearly all industries of this sector's production. The historical analysis concludes that travel agents underwent a positive evolution in value creation during the studied period. The revolution in information technology, which increased staff productivity, and the process of sector concentration and association, which increased rotation, are the main factors driving this evolution. Investments in financial assets, tangible assets, and intangible assets also play an important role in transforming the sector's productive structure. While the evolution of margins plays a less significant role in value creation, the sector faces challenges due to price wars and strong competition. The positive impact of the sector's debt also increased, contributing to a significant increase in economic value-added. Finally, travel agents need to pay attention to these factors in their management in order to remain competitive and achieve their ultimate goal of creating value in this sector.

Abstract

This research aims to study intra-generational income mobility and poverty, and it also seeks to characterize and measure individual mobility by analyzing the duration of poverty, consecutive versus transient poverty, and the likelihood of re-entry. Researchers used a synthetic panel approach to estimate individual income in the second round based on data from the first round. This approach allows research to look at changes in individual income over time, even though actual panel data is unavailable. Based on research results, it show that the main factor influencing stagnation is the difficulty of leaving poverty, not the problem of entering poverty. In addition, analyses that consider the entire period also provide different results regarding the level of permanence in poverty. Synthetic panel analysis shows that the individuals who move out of poverty are those who were poor at the start of each period studied, not those who already had incomes above the poverty line. In addition, these results also show that the proportion of individuals who experience poverty in a shorter period is greater than that of those who experience poverty for four years. The analysis shows changes in poverty dynamics between the two periods studied. Successive poverty dominates, meaning that individuals who fall into poverty tend to remain poor over that period. However, the predominance is shifting towards transient poverty, where individuals experience poverty for shorter periods, moving in and out of poverty within that period.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how tourism relates to millennials and Z generations by analyzing their motivations for travel experiences and social media use. This study employs a hybrid methodology, primarily focusing on qualitative aspects. We conducted a bibliographic review and descriptive survey analysis by collecting data from 100 respondents through an online survey using Google Forms. The results of the analysis show that millennials and Z generations are highly dependent on smartphones to connect to the internet and social media, with Instagram as the main platform. They spend six to nine hours per day online, and their phones are often considered an extension of themselves. Millennials and Z generations tend to publish their travel photos on Instagram, focusing on experiences that feature stunning natural scenery and expressions of joy, to strengthen their positive image. Millennials and Z generations primarily travel to explore new cultures and interact with people, and their inclination to capture and share photos serves as a social status indicator. Overall, millennials and Z generations use social media as a tool to build and communicate their social identity, focusing on experiences that can strengthen their positive image and gain recognition. Thus, this phenomenon reflects a shift in the way millennials and Z generations interact with the world and seek to influence and inspire others through the digital content they share

Abstract

In order to understand how customer satisfaction is affected by convenience, transaction process, system quality, content reliability, and customer service, as well as how this affects customer complaints and repurchase intentions, these factors will be examined in this study. We employed the descriptive research method in conjunction with conclusive research in this study. For this study, a cross-sectional design was employed. A questionnaire was used in this study's data collection process. Those who have utilized the mobile application and filed complaints with customer support make up the demographic under investigation. With a sample size of 100 participants, judgmental sampling was used in this study. The structural equation model method will be used to examine the data in this study. The data analysis's findings highlight a number of significant conclusions. Firstly, there is no evidence that convenience significantly affects customer happiness. Second, client happiness is greatly enhanced by the transaction procedure. Third, customer satisfaction is positively impacted by system quality as well. Fourth, customer happiness is positively impacted by content reliability as well. Fifth, customer satisfaction is positively impacted by customer service. Sixth, complaints from customers are negatively impacted by consumer satisfaction. Seventh, the propensity to repurchase is positively impacted by customer satisfaction. Eighthly, however, there is a negative correlation between consumer satisfaction and propensity to repurchase. These results, notwithstanding certain discrepancies, imply that factors other than customers' degree of satisfaction might also affect their intention to make another purchase.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how visitor satisfaction, which affects their intention to return to tourist destinations, is influenced by perceived quality, destination image, and perceived value. Researchers employed a conclusive research design in this study. The judgmental sampling approach is a non-probability sampling methodology that was employed by the researcher. 100 people made up the study's sample. The major data used in this study came from the responses to questionnaires that were distributed. In this study, structural equation modeling is employed. It is clear from the analysis's findings that travelers' perceptions of a destination's quality, value, contentment, and likelihood to return are significantly influenced by its image. Travelers' perceived quality, perceived value, level of satisfaction, and inclination to return are all positively correlated with the destination's image. Perceived quality also significantly positively affects satisfaction, perceived value, and inclination to return. Perceived value also significantly positively affects satisfaction and the desire to return. The inclination to return is significantly positively impacted by satisfaction as well. These findings suggest that in order to boost visitor happiness and loyalty toward tourism attractions, destination management must focus on and enhance destination image, service quality, and perceived value.

Abstract

The development of the current era of globalization has led to technological advances in various fields, both in terms of economy, social, education, and health. Technological advances have positive and negative impacts on the environment. One of the negative impacts of technological advances on the environment is environmental damage which results in a decrease in the quality of the environment. The environment is a unified system where there is a mutual interaction between living things, objects, and resources. A person's attitude can determine the good and bad conditions and conditions that occur in the surrounding environment. The environment must be kept clean and beautiful with a full sense of responsibility and have sensitivity in protecting the environment. However, based on the results of observations, it is known that the attitude of caring for students at one of the SMKN in Malang City is still lacking. To foster an attitude of caring for the environment, community service is carried out which aims to provide education on environmental awareness, especially SMKN students. The results obtained from this community service turned out to be very beneficial for students, they became more aware of protecting and maintaining the environment around them.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of economic growth, the Human Development Index (HDI), and the open unemployment rate on poverty levels in Sumenep Regency. Using a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis, this research analyzes secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the period 2015–2023. The results indicate that economic growth significantly reduces poverty by generating employment opportunities and increasing household income. However, HDI does not show a significant effect, suggesting that improvements in health, education, and income require longer-term interventions to impact poverty reduction. Conversely, the open unemployment rate has a significant positive effect on poverty levels, indicating that higher unemployment contributes to increased poverty rates due to reduced purchasing power. Based on these findings, policy recommendations include promoting economic growth through infrastructure development and investment support, enhancing HDI by improving education and healthcare access, and reducing unemployment through job creation programs and vocational training. These integrated strategies are expected to lower poverty rates and enhance overall welfare in Sumenep Regency.

Abstract

Drought is a natural disaster that threatens and disrupts people's lives, where the demand for water remains constant or even increases, while groundwater reserves decrease, leading to insufficient water availability for daily needs. To formulate an effective drought disaster mitigation strategy, an analysis of the drought disaster risk level must first be conducted. Mapping disaster risk areas plays a crucial role in supporting effective decision-making for disaster management. In line with the research objectives, the paradigm of disaster risk, disaster mitigation, and drought-related theories can be synthesized into several indicators for determining drought disaster risk levels. As the dry season progresses, North Central Timor Regency experiences severe drought, resulting in water availability falling far below the required levels for domestic use, agriculture, the economy, and the environment. Residents are forced to purchase water tanks to irrigate their drying rice fields and buy drum water daily to meet their household needs. This study employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The disaster risk level is formulated using Delphi analysis and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), while the identification of drought disaster mitigation strategies is conducted through descriptive analysis.
