Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The city of Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara faces increasingly serious drought challenges due to climate change and rapid urbanization, prompting the need for this study to predict drought vulnerability in the region. This study aims to develop a drought vulnerability prediction model using a machine learning approach that combines Normalized Difference Drought Index (NDDI) data, built-up areas, and population data in the last five (5) years. The methods used include NDDI calculations from satellite imagery, a zonal statistical analysis, and drought vulnerability simulations using models such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Artificial Neural Network. The results show that the Random Forest model provides the best prediction with the highest R Squared value, and indicates an increased risk of drought in several villages in 2030 and 2040, especially in areas with rapid population growth and expansion of built-up areas. The conclusion of this study confirms that the developed approach is able to provide a more accurate picture of drought-prone areas, so that it can be an important guide in more resilient and sustainable urban  planning, and recommends strengthening water management and spatial planning policies with early intervention in the most vulnerable areas.

Abstract

Higher education institutions need to establish strong organizational resilience because their educational systems must adapt to sudden unpredictable changes that occur in their dynamic environments. The research investigates the relationship between crisis leadership knowledge management and innovative work environments and their impact on institutional resilience at higher education institutions. The researchers conducted their study through a quantitative research method which used an explanatory research design. The study collected data through a structured questionnaire which surveyed 180 participants who worked as unit leaders and lecturers and educational staff members from different Indonesian higher education institutions that the researchers selected through purposive sampling method. The researchers used multiple linear regression to analyze data after they finished testing validity and reliability and classical assumptions. The study demonstrates that organizations achieve resilience through the combination of crisis leadership activities and knowledge management practices and innovation work environment implementation. The research demonstrates that leadership attributes and cognitive elements and cultural components work together to establish organizational resilience in higher education institutions. The research findings show that sustainable organizational resilience practices enable higher education leaders to create policies which enhance institutional adaptability.

Abstract

Labuan Bajo in West Manggarai has experienced rapid transformation as one of Indonesia’s Super Priority Tourism Destinations. Despite expanding tourism activities, poverty reduction has not occurred proportionally among local communities, raising concerns about the relationship between tourism growth and structural socioeconomic factors. This study examines whether tourism-driven GDP expansion, hospitality infrastructure growth, tourism labor absorption, educational attainment, and core infrastructure provision significantly influence poverty reduction. Using a quantitative correlational design, the research analyzes secondary time-series data from 2010 to 2024. Poverty rate serves as the dependent variable, while independent variables include tourism GDP, number of hotels, tourism employment, average years of schooling, and road infrastructure quality. Data were tested through classical assumption diagnostics and multiple linear regression. Results show that tourism GDP, tourism employment, and road infrastructure quality have significant negative effects on poverty, indicating that income generation, job absorption, and connectivity reduce poverty levels. However, hotel growth and schooling years are not statistically significant. The model demonstrates strong explanatory power, emphasizing the importance of inclusive labor participation and infrastructure access in tourism-led development.

Abstract

Micro small and medium enterprises need to overcome difficulties which diminish their financial success through digital economy benefits which create new business opportunities. The researchers of this study investigate how digital supply chain agility and digital cultural transformation together with continuous innovation impact digital revenue resilience which exists within the MSME sector. The researchers of this study implement their research through a quantitative method which uses an explanatory framework. The research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 160 MSME respondents who have adopted digital technology in their business activities using a purposive sampling technique. The researchers used multiple linear regression analysis to examine data after they conducted validity testing and reliability testing together with classical assumption testing. The study shows that digital supply chain agility and digital cultural transformation together with continuous innovation create positive effects which help organizations achieve digital revenue resilience. Digital supply chain agility enhances operational flexibility and product distribution systems because organizations use digital cultural transformation to adopt digital technologies. Continuous innovation enables organizations to develop products and services which better satisfy changing market needs thus improving their business competitiveness. The study results provide business practitioners with guidance which helps them develop digital business strategies that sustain their organizations through changing times.
