Abstract

Speaking is one of the four language skills that is used to express ideas and feelings. The students’ speaking skill of the eleventh graders of MAN 1 Kota Magelang has not achieved the learning target. The objectives of the study are to know how high the use of Dot Voting technique can increase students’ learning motivation in the report text speaking of the eleventh grades of MAN 1 Kota Magelang and to know how great the improvement of the students speaking skill who are taught using Dot Voting technique at the eleventh grades of MAN 1 Kota Magelang is. The type of this research is classroom action research. The subject of the research was class XI-Religion 1 of MAN 1 Kota Magelang. The writer used test and non-test instruments (observation, questionnaire, and documentation) to collect the data. Each cycle consists of planning, observing, acting, and reflecting. In analyzing the data, the writer used quantitative and qualitative data. Based on the writer’s observation and questionnaire, there is some increase of the students’ behavior change after the writer taught using Dot Voting technique in speaking class.

Abstract

Reading is a must in language learning. In Senior High School, it is not an exception. The main problem is that the students are not interested in doing the reading task. They also have low motivation. It is caused by the monotonous way of teaching. There are two objectives of this research. They are to know whether the use of bookmark technique can increase the learning motivation in the recount text reading and to know how great the improvement of the recount text reading skill of the students who are taught using bookmark technique is. The writer conducted a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was divided into three phases, pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The writer took the tenth graders of MAN Parakan Temanggung as the subject of the research. The techniques used to collect the data were tests and non-test technique. The writer used the average score and percentage in each cycle to analyze the data. The result of the tests shows that the mean score of the students increase.

Abstract

Writing is considered important for the high school students. However, the X MIA 6 Peminatan students of SMA Negeri 1 Magelang still find difficulty in writing the recount text. There are two objectives of the study in this research. The first is to know whether the use of Biopoem technique can increase the recount text writing learning motivation of the tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Magelang in the school year 2015/2016. The second is to know how great the improvement of the recount text writing skill of the tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Magelang in the school year 2015/2016 who are taught using Biopoem is. The writer conducted a classroom action research.To collect the data, the writer uses non-test (observation, questionnaire, documentation) technique and test technique. The data are analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis technique. Based on the writer’s observation and questionnaire, it shows that there are some changes in the students’ learning motivation after the writer taught using Biopoem technique. There are also improvement of  the test mean scores. Based on the description above, the writer concludes that the use of Biopoem technique can increase the students’ recount text writing learning motivation and there is a significant improvement of the recount text writing skill after they were taught using Biopoem technique.

Abstract

Writing is one of the compulsory skills that is tested in the final examination and it must be mastered by students of Senior High School. However, the eleventh graders of SMA N 2 Magelang still find difficulties in learning writing, especially in narrative text. It can be proved by the result of the average score of the writing test of 32 students, which was only 67.97. This score does not reach the minimum achievement criteria of 78. There are several factors influencing that condition. The writer conducted a research to overcome that problem by applying Deliberative Democracy Technique. There are two main objectives in the research. The first is to know whether Deliberative Democracy Technique can increase the learning motivation of narrative text writing skill. The second is to know how great the improvement of the narrative text writing skill after being taught by using Deliberative Democracy Technique of the eleventh graders of SMA N 2 Kota Magelang in the school year 2015/2016 is. The subject of the research is the eleventh graders of SMAN 2 Magelang, comprising 32 students. The writer conducted a classroom action research for this purpose. It was divided into three phases: Pre-cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II. The writer used non test (observation, questionnaire and documentation) and test as the instrument to collect the data. Based on the writer’s observation and questionnaires, it is showed that most students had behavioral change, they increase learning motivation.

Abstract

AbstrakDi Indonesia, era pandemi Covid-19 sudah berlangsung sejak 16 Maret 2020. Sampai saat ini, belum ada tanda-tanda adanya penurunan, bahkan cenderung terjadi kenaikan. Pemerintah Indonesia sudah mengambil tindakan, salah satunya berupa social distancing (pembatasan sosial) ataupun physical distancing (menjaga jarak fisik), agar penyebaran virus dapat ditekan. Terkait dengan masalah-masalah yang diakibatkan oleh pandemi Covid-19, semua lembaga pendidikan diminta untuk menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran dalam bentuk belajar dari rumah (BDR). Kegiatan pembelajaran yang biasanya dilakukan secara konvensional, kini semuanya dialihkan menjadi model pembelajaran berbasis daring. Pembelajaran daring pada dasarnya merupakan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan jaringan (internet) jarak jauh, dengan bantuan alat perantara seperti gadget, laptop, smartphone dengan aplikasi seperti google classroom, zoom, skype, whatsapp, hangout, web conference.  Pada dasarnya pembelajaran daring pada era pandemi Covid-19 untuk melaksanakan program sosial atau physical distancing, namun ternyata pelaksanaan program ini menemui banyak kendala, terutama ketidaksiapan pengajar dan pembelajar. Tulisan ini membahas salah satu upaya inovatif berupa strategi pembelajaran 4C, yaitu critical thinking, creativity thinking, collaboration, dan communication. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara virtual dan dokumentasi. Kata kunci: inovasi pembelajaran, pandemi covid-19, strategi 4C  AbstractIn Indonesia, the era of Covid-19 pandemy has been occurring since 16 March 2020. Until recently, there have been no signals of a decrease, even though it tends to  increase. The Indonesian Government has been carrying out social or physical distancing in order that the virus spread can be limited. In relation to the pandemic problems, all the educational institutions are expected to carry out the studying from home (SFH) program. This means that all the conventional teaching-learning processes should be changed into online learning. Basically, online learning is a learning model using an internet network, taking the advantages of instruments like gadget, laptop, or smartphone with the applications such as google classroom, zoom, skype, whatsapp, hangout, or web conference. The main purpose of online learning is to implement the social or physical distancing program. However, the implementation of this program faces many problems. especially the readiness of the teachers or lecturers and the students. This article describes an innovative solution by using 4Cs learning strategy, they are critical thinking, creativity thinking, collaboration, and communication. Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in students' critical thinking by using science-based LKS teaching materials based on inductive thinking models with Inductive Word Pictorial models in class IV SDM II of Bengkulu City, critical thinking differences from groups of students with high initial ability using teaching materials based on science-based LKS inductive thinking with the pictorial word Inductive model in class IV SDM II Bengkulu City, the difference in critical thinking from the group of students with low initial ability by using science teaching material based on inductive thinking models with the Inductive Word Pictorial model in class IV SDM II Bengkulu City, the interaction between learning model and the initial ability to think critically in class IV SDM II Bengkulu City. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of quasi-experimental research. The subjects of this study were HR II students, totaling 40 students. Data collection was performed using essay tests. The results showed 1) Overall there were differences in students' critical thinking between those taught by using teaching materials for science subjects based on the learning model of inductive thinking and based on the pictorial model of pictorial words. . 2) there is a difference in the critical thinking of students with high initial ability between those taught by using teaching materials for science subjects based on inductive thinking learning models and based on the pictorial model of pictorial words. 3) there is no difference in the critical thinking of students with low initial ability between those taught by using teaching materials based on natural science learning models based on inductive thinking models and based on the pictorial model of pictorial words. students in science subjects at SD Muhammadiyah II Bengkulu city.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan dengan berbasis lesson study pada Program Studi PGMI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris IAIN Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi dengan paradigma definisi sosial yang bergerak pada kajian mikro melalui langkah-langkah (1) Identifikasi permasalahan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan berbasis lesson study pada Program Studi PGMI FTT IAIN Bengkulu (2) langkah-langkah lesson study yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan pada Program Studi PGMI FTT IAIN Bengkulu melalui PTK . Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGMI sejumlah 24 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara, , soal essay dan lembar observasi.

Abstract

Guru di Indonesia masih sedikit yang mampu melaksanakan PTK. PTK merupakan bagian penting dari PKB. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah model pelatihan yang hanya menekankan pemahaman (berupa sosialisasi) dan penggunaan teknik pelatihan yang monoton (satu arah) serta dilaksanakan tanpa pendampingan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan menemukan strategi PKB bagi guru SD dan MI di Kota Magelang melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penelitian tindakan kelas berbasis pembelajaran aktif. Para peserta yang berjumlah 25 orang dilatih dan didampingi melaksanakan dan melaporkan PTK untuk meningkatkan mutu proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Hasil pengabdian ini selanjutnya dijadikan dasar untuk mengembangkan strategi keprofesian berkelanjutan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan terpadu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) berbasis pembelajaran aktif. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah (1) 1 laporan individual hasil PTK dan 1 artikel PTK, (2) 21 proporsal PTK, dan (3) 1 judul PTK. Mengingat strategi ini  efektif, pengabdi akan melaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi guru-guru yang lain, dan berharap para pengabdi menggunakan strategi ini.

Abstract

An irreversible electrochemical reaction from material interaction with the environment and causing degradation is known as corrosion. The electrolyte changes significantly affect the corrosion's reaction kinetics. Unknown factors and various notable factors influence the corrosion rate of a particular material in the environmental system. Significant interest in magnetic fields and their effects on electrochemical reactions have recently been gained. This paper studies the effect of an external magnetic field on the electrochemical oxidation of Aluminum (Al) in a 3,5% NaCl solution. The magnetic field 0; 0,8; 1,4; and 2,1 Tesla were used to expose the samples during corrosion testing. We found that the effect of a magnetic field on electrochemical oxidation shifts the oxidation potential to higher or lower than the oxidation potential without a magnetic field. Moreover, the oxidation potential's value depends on the magnetic field's intensity.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 3 Gedong Wonogiri with the type of qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study are in the form of a description of the implementation of the blended learning system in thematic learning obtained through the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects in this study were the principal, class VI teacher, and class VI students at SDN 3 Gedong, Wonogiri. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively. Planning for the implementation of a blended learning system in thematic learning is outlined in a thematic learning implementation plan with a blended learning system with the stages of the implementation process: seeking of information, acquisition of information, and synthesizing of knowledge. Barriers to face-to-face learning are limited time, and obstacles in online learning are the problem of student cellular data quotas that run out during learning, and unstable signal networks. The solution to the obstacles to the implementation of online learning is that students who have their savings buy quotas with their savings and some students who have quotas are the responsibility of the parents. The teacher provides a solution so that students whose quotas run out to join friends who are close to where they live. Thematic learning outcomes with the blended learning system include: 1) students have an attitude of always being grateful, caring, and honest; 2) Students' skills have an average value of 3.72 with very good predicate results; and 3) learning outcomes in the aspect of student knowledge on average show a good category in each lesson content.
