Abstract

An irreversible electrochemical reaction from material interaction with the environment and causing degradation is known as corrosion. The electrolyte changes significantly affect the corrosion's reaction kinetics. Unknown factors and various notable factors influence the corrosion rate of a particular material in the environmental system. Significant interest in magnetic fields and their effects on electrochemical reactions have recently been gained. This paper studies the effect of an external magnetic field on the electrochemical oxidation of Aluminum (Al) in a 3,5% NaCl solution. The magnetic field 0; 0,8; 1,4; and 2,1 Tesla were used to expose the samples during corrosion testing. We found that the effect of a magnetic field on electrochemical oxidation shifts the oxidation potential to higher or lower than the oxidation potential without a magnetic field. Moreover, the oxidation potential's value depends on the magnetic field's intensity.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 3 Gedong Wonogiri with the type of qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study are in the form of a description of the implementation of the blended learning system in thematic learning obtained through the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects in this study were the principal, class VI teacher, and class VI students at SDN 3 Gedong, Wonogiri. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively. Planning for the implementation of a blended learning system in thematic learning is outlined in a thematic learning implementation plan with a blended learning system with the stages of the implementation process: seeking of information, acquisition of information, and synthesizing of knowledge. Barriers to face-to-face learning are limited time, and obstacles in online learning are the problem of student cellular data quotas that run out during learning, and unstable signal networks. The solution to the obstacles to the implementation of online learning is that students who have their savings buy quotas with their savings and some students who have quotas are the responsibility of the parents. The teacher provides a solution so that students whose quotas run out to join friends who are close to where they live. Thematic learning outcomes with the blended learning system include: 1) students have an attitude of always being grateful, caring, and honest; 2) Students' skills have an average value of 3.72 with very good predicate results; and 3) learning outcomes in the aspect of student knowledge on average show a good category in each lesson content.

Abstract

Markesot Bertutur Lagi (MBL) text is a form of literary work that discusses the existence of social events in real society. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze MBL text using critical discourse analysis on microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure elements. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative method with the critical discourse analysis method of Teun Van Dijk. The data collection used is using the method of listening and noting. The object of this research is one of the chapters in the MBL text entitled Markesot Bertutur Hakikat Hidup. Meanwhile, the step of analyzing the data is reading and recording several sentences and words that contain elements of microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure. Analyze and describe text into microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure. The results of this study, firstly, in the microstructure there are syntax and semantics that have been found in several parts, including sentence form words, pronouns, coherence, and sentence meanings in some texts. Second, the plot superstructure elements that have been found are opening, conflict, solution, and closing. Third, the macro-cultural elements found in people's lives today are different from the culture in foreign countries or the author's thoughts on the text.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the values of character in the novel. and its relevance to Civics learning for Class VI Elementary School which can be used as an investment for students. The obligation to cultivate character in students is contained in the Minister of Education and Culture Number 23 of 2015. The character values contained in the novel are useful as learning media in order to foster character values in students through Civics subjects. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The source of the data used in this research is the novel Mata and Secret of Gapi Island. Data collection techniques used are content analysis and interview techniques. The data analysis technique in this study is an interactive analysis model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity test uses theoretical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of the study obtained that there are 11 values in the novel Mata and Secret of Gapi Island, namely religious, disciplined, honest, hard working, creative, independent, curious, cares about the environment, friendly/communicative, likes to read, and loves peace. The highest score in the novel Mata and Secret of Gapi Island is the value of curiosity with six findings. Values that are relevant to the learning materials for grade VI SD are peace-loving values, religious values, friendly/communicative values, hard work values, environmental care values, and discipline values. The values of character that are relevant to the learning materials for class VI SD can be used as an alternative to character building by making the findings a medium for learning texts.

Abstract

The aim of research is improve teachers' skills in making BDR LKPD through the implementation of Workshop activities. The research subjects 7 teachers. Data collection techniques with observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed using a comparative descriptive technique. The results of the assessment of the observation of discussion activities showed that in the initial conditions the score showed 47.14, increasing to 69.86 in the first cycle and 89.86 at the end of the second cycle. The explanation regarding the increase in teacher skills in making LKPD in the initial conditions was 50.38 in the first cycle the average value was 69.98 and at the end of the second cycle it increased to 84.85 In terms of improving individual teacher skills in the first cycle there were 4 teachers 57, 14% in the second cycle all teachers stated that their skills had improved with explanations from 4 teachers or 57.14% (VERY GOOD) and 3 teachers or 42.86% (GOOD).

Abstract

Lemon juice can be used as an acidifier to separate curd and whey from milk by decreasing the pH until it reaches the isoelectric point. This study observed the effect of lemon juice as a coagulant for soft cheese-making characteristics using direct acidification that variates the temperature point and the level of lemons maturity classify by the fruit-peel color ratio between yellow and green. Response surface methodology was used in this experimental design with 29 total runs by Design Expert 13 software to search for the optimum formula for the soft cheese-making process. The result shows that the optimum formula reached 70% yellow and 30% green lemon-peel color of fruit maturity, several lemon juice concentrations at 5%, 10%, and 15, and the coagulation temperature point at 30 °C. This research showed that there was an effect of using lemon juice as an acid coagulant in the soft cheese-making process based on the concentration added as an acidifying agent on the characteristic results.

Abstract

An Pleural effusion is an excessive accumulation of fluid, blood or water in thepleural cavity which will cause the increase of shortness of breath because of thedecreasing space for lung expansion. One of the efforts to reduce the complaintsof shortness of breath is by insertion of water seal drainage. Water Seal Drainage(WSD) is a medical action performed to remove air or fluid from the pleuralcavity. The patient's ability to breathe effectively is an indicator to release WSD.This study generally aims to determine the effectiveness of diaphragmaticbreathing exercises on the speed of lung expansion in patients with water sealdrainage insertion.The research design was pre experiment with pre test - post test group design.The population in this study were patients with insertion of WSD who wereadmitted to Dr. Muwardi Surakarta Hospital. The sampling technique waspurposive sampling. The number of samples were 16 respondents. To measurelung expansion, the indicator used Peak Expiratory Flow Rate as measured bypeak flow meter. Data analysis used dependent t-test.The results show that there are differences in the speed of lung expansion inpatients with WSD insertion before and after diaphragmatic breathing exerciseswith p-value of 0.0001.Suggestion for nurses to be able to train diaphragmatic breathing exercise inpatients with WSD insertion increase lung expansion so that WSD can bereleased and the risk of infection can be reduced

Abstract

Use of Articulate Storyline as a learning medium in the classroom helps students understand the material presented by the teacher due to the attractive appearance of the media. Especially in science subjects which place great emphasis on the implementation of direct experience, namely the material on the cycle of living things is abstract and broad material, so that it cannot be observed directly in its entirety at one time. The purpose of this study was to analyze teacher and student acceptance of the Articulate Storyline-based natural science learning media on the Cycle of Living Things in grade IV SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten. The research used by the researcher is qualitative research using a case study research design. The data obtained in this study were in the form of student response questionnaire data, teacher interview data and observation data. The results of the analysis of student acceptance of the Articulate Storyline-based learning media on the cognitive, affective and conative aspects received a positive response.  The use of Articulate Storyline-based learning media can fulfill these indicators, so that learning is more meaningful. While the results of the analysis of teacher acceptance of the Articulate Storyline-based learning media received a positive response from the teacher, namely (1) the artmedia is easy to apply, (2) the media display is in accordance with the material, (3) the media can overcome the boundaries of the classroom, (4) the media can add basic concepts that are true, real and appropriate, (5) the media can overcome the experiences of students.

Abstract

Abstract. Case study on types of ecosystem materials of science learning tasks during the COVID-19 pandemic (for class v students at SSDN Pajang 4 surakarta). This research is included in the type of qualitative research with descriptive qualitative methods and case study. The subjects of this study were students, teachers, and parents. Validity testing was used source triangulation and technique triangulation.The results of the study concluded that the type of science learning task on ecosystem materials was observing tasks, namely reading materials to obtain information about ecosystem materials. Communication tasks include reading the food chain and reporting assignments in writing. The task of grouping was to find differences and similarities between symbiosis. This type of predicting task asked students to predict events that will occur if a component changes in the food chain. Constraints encountered by students are student discipline problems when working, facilities constraints, some students still use parental devices, and finally the lack of understanding of ecosystem material. The average student assignment score is 82.5, with 63% getting a score above the KKM. Keywords: Types of assignments, Sciences, Elementary School

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Novel Dia adalah Kakakku karya Tere Liye (Kajian Sosiologi sastra) dan Relevansinya sebagai Bahan Ajar di SMK kelas XII. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui dan memahami penggambaran nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Dia adalah Kakakku karya Tere Liye, (2) Untuk menjelaskan relevansi kajian nilai pendidikan karakter novel Dia adalah Kakakku karya Tere Liye mendasari jika digunakan sebagai bahan ajar di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif karena dalam data penelitian ini berupa rangkaian cara atau kegiatan pelaksanaan penelitian yang didasari oleh asumsi asumsi dasar, pandangan-pandangan filosofis dan ideologis pertanyaan dan isu-isu yang dihadapi. Peneliti ini studi kasus ini mengarahkan pada pendeskripsian secara rinci dan mendalam mengenai potret kondisi dalam suatu konteks, tentang apa yang sebenarnya terjadi menurut apa adanya di lapangan studi. Salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan pedidikan karakter yang dapat dikembangkan adalah melalui pembelajaran apresiasi novel. Pembelajaran sastra yaitu novel sebagai salah satu jenis karya sastra yang mempunya fungsi dapat menimbulkan rasa kepedulian terhadap karya yang dihasilkan oleh pengarang. Pengajaran novel di sekolah harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi peserta didik, dalam mengkaji novel Dia adalah Kakakku karya Tere Liye pembelajaran nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel serta relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar di SMK merupakan sebuah penelitian yang menarik dan penting. Pendidikan karakter merupakan proses pembentukan watak manusia, pendidikan karakter bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu penyelenggaraan dan hasil pendidikan yang mengarah pada pencapaian pembentukan karakter dan etika peserta didik secara utuh dan terpadu.
