Abstract

The expansion of palm oil plantations has not only had a positive impact but alsovarious negative impacts. International markets require the management andprocessing of palm oil plantations to be responsible by taking account ofenvironmental, social, and economic aspects. Palm oil produced must be asustainable product (sustainable) to be accepted in the international market. Thisthen spawned a concept of sustainable palm oil by a body called the Roundtable onSustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). The purpose of this study was to analyze the gapbetween the RSPO criteria standards and the practices of planters, analyze thecapabilities and challenges of Independent smallholders to obtain RSPOcertification. This research uses descriptive analysis. The results of the researchindicate that best practices or application of RSPO principles to independentSmallholders palm oil planters has reached 75%, from 138 indicators there are 13indicators that become findings, from 13 indicators findings there are 5 majorindicators. Asosiasi Mandiri ability to be able to obtain RSPO certification ie (1)Planters Association has been well organized (2) have understanding or awarenessof the importance of RSPO certification objectives (3) has fulfilled the 6 principles ofthe 8 principles of the RSPO P & C standard (4) supported by non-governmentalorganizations, and challenges faced by (1) generally low levels of plantationeducation (2) Principles 4 and 5 that have not met the RSPO P & C standards (3)associations require substantial fees for RSPO certification. To complete the fivemajor indicators, the Association requires training or assistance in recording eachcultivation activity especially on the use of pesticides, training and the formation of ateam of spray units (TUS) and empowered in any plantation maintenance activities,manufacture of special warehouses for pesticide storage and create special disposalsites or looking for distributors of processing or recycling of pesticide waste, andconducting annual medical monitoring programs specific to pesticide operators.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) to analyze the marketing channels; and (2) toanalyze the marketing costs, margins, profit, marketing efficiency and farmer share.The research method used survey method with 10 white oyster mushroom farmers,2 brokers, and 31 retailers. The result showed that marketing functions undertakenby institutions who involved in the marketing of white oyster mushroom includefarmers, brokers, and retailers such as exchange function, physical function, andfunction facilities. Marketing channels of white oyster mushroom in Pekanbaru cityconsists of three channels, where Channel I farmer selling white oyster mushroom toconsumer directly, Channel II farmer selling white oyster mushroom to retailer, andthen retailer selling mushroom to consumer, and Channel III farmer selling whiteoyster mushroom to broker, then broker selling mushroom to retailer, and finallyretailer selling mushroom to consumer. Total marketing cost of Channel I Rp533,00/kg, marketing margin Rp 0,00/kg, profit Rp 31.467,00/kg, marketingefficiency 1,67% and bagian farmer share100,00 %. Total marketing cost of ChannelII Rp 2.929,00per kg, marketing margin Rp 12.368,00/kg, profit Rp 8.983,00/kg,marketing efficiency 7,32% and bagian farmer share69,08%. Total marketing cost ofChannel III Rp 3.291,00/kg, marketing margin Rp 13.000,00/kg, profit Rp9.709,00/kg, marketing efficiency 7,84% and bagian farmer share69,05%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the income of pineapple farming, analyze pineapple marketing, and formulate the potential and constraints in meeting the availability of pineapple throughout the year in Kualu Pineapple Village. This research was conducted by survey method, the sample in this study was taken as much as 25% of the population, so the number of samples taken was 30 farmers. The results of the study showed that the net income received by the sapling farmers was Rp.61.450.970.04/Ha and the tillers were Rp.52.903.030.56/Ha. The value of RCR (Return Cost Ratio) for tiller type farmers is 3.29 and 2.67 tiller stem farmers. This means that the farming carried out equally gains profit because the RCR value obtained is greater than 1 (RCR> 1). The pineapple marketing channel in Kualu Nanas Village consists of 4 channels. The marketing margin for channel I (Rp.4,026.79/Gandeng), channel II (Rp.2,618.75/Gandeng), channel III (Rp.92,051.34/Gandeng), and channel IV is worth 0. The largest share received by farmers is channel IV (100.00%), followed by channel II (70.58%), channel I (60.30%), and channel III (7.95%). An efficient marketing channel is channel IV (3.03%). The number of pineapple agro-industry businesses and the strategic location in marketing pineapples. The obstacle faced by farmers is that there is no written agreement on land that has been planted with pineapples taken before the use rights period.

Abstract

Economic development is an essential factor to development in the country because development was not just about economy fenomena but include material and financial problem in the life many people. So that implementation of suitable policies succeed to achieve many object and purpose of effective development need good planning and evaluation. For example Padang Panjang City, location quotient showed that basic sector is electricity and transportation. base on the result the goverment have to take a policy that actually develop the basic sector until give a big value added to income of the city non basic sector must be develop together with basic sector because connected to economic growth .Keywords : Economic development, location quotient, basic sector electricity

Abstract

Problems : Hyperuricemia caused because of an increasing uric acid in the blood which exceeds the normal limit, which is more than 7.0 mg/dl in men and 6.0 mg/dl in women. The prevalence of hyperuricemia in Indonesia is 7.3%, in South Sumatra it is 6.48%. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be given to patients with hyperuricemia is giving pineapple and soursop leaves pudding. The Aim Of The Research: The goal of this study is to see if giving pineapple and soursop leaves to hyperuricemic patients lowers their uric acid level. Research Method : this study uses a quasi – experimental design pretest and posttest with a control group. This study took place in Palembang’s Sosial Public Health Center from January to April 2022. In this study, the sample was chosen via random sampling selection, with a total of 39 respondents in the comparison and treatment group. The independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test were used to analyze the data. The Result : with average difference p - value of uric acid levels between the comparison group and the treatment group (p- value = 0.000). The independent sample t-test resulted in a p-value = 0.000. Conclusion : This means that giving pineapple and soursop leaves pudding has an effect on lowering levels of uric acid in hyperuricemic patients, with the average difference in uric acid level of the comparison group being lower than the treatment group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh dimensi brand equity terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone Samsung di Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif. Jumlah sampel adalah 100 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik non probability sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuisioner.Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Uji hipotesis dengan uji t dan uji f. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial  brand awarenesss, brand association, dan brand loyalty berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Perceived quality berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Brand awareness,brand association, perceived quality dan brand loyalty berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara simultan  terhadap keputusan pembelian. Nilai adjusted R2 88,1% artinya dimensi brand equity yang terdiri dari; brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality dan brand loyalty mampu mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian dengan persentase mencapai 88,1% sedangkan 11,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan keputusan pembelian perlu dipertimbangkan pengaruh dari dimensi brand equity. Kata Kunci: Keputusan Pembelian, Brand Awareness, Brand Association, Perceived Quality, Brand Loyalty

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus was as a chronic disease that happens if the pancreas cannot produce insulin or the body unable to respond to the insulin. A person was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus if there were classic symptoms such as polyuria, polydipsia and polyphagia accompanied by high blood sugar levels. The impact of Diabetes Mellitus is a complication of diseases such as heart, kidney, stroke, blindness, and amputation, and one can easily suffer from atherosclerosis. This study was conducted aiming to find out the effect of providing tempe date juice and counselling on blood glucose levels of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients in Teluk Kijing Village, Musi Banyuasin Regency. It was a quasi-experimental research with a pretest and posttest design with a control group. The number of respondents in this study was 60 people, determined using purposive sampling. This research showed that most of the majority in the treatment group were aged 40-63 years (90%), female (53%), with elementary school education level (53.3%), and with excess energy intake (56.7%). The average blood glucose level of the respondents in the treatment group before the intervention was 278.8 mg/dl and 222.7 mg/dl after the intervention. The average decrease in blood sugar levels in the treatment group was 56.1 mg/dl. The statistical dependent t-test showed an average difference between blood glucose levels before and after treatment (p= 0.000 < 0.05). The independent t-test showed a significant difference between the treatment results in the treatment group and the comparison group (p= 0.000 < 0.05). It could be concluded that tempe date juice and counselling reduce blood glucose levels in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients in Teluk Kijing Village.

Abstract

The research on synthesis of composites Kitosan-Al2O3 by the sol-gel method for photodegradation of methylene blue has been carried out. Chitosan-Al2O3 varied by mass ratios (1:1), (1:2) and (1:3). The product were characterized using XRD and UV-DRS. Chitosan-Al2O3 ratio (1:1) were characterized by SEM-EDS. The best material will be used to degrade the mehtylene blue by various condition, i.e., effect of pH, contact time and initial concentration of methylene blue. The Chitosan-Al2O3 (1:1) composite was chosen as a material for degrading methylene blue. The result of characterization using XRD showed crystal size the Chitosan- Al2O3 (1:1) composites result were 3,17 nm. UV-DRS characterization, The band gap energy is 1,35 eV. The morphological condition by SEM of Chitosan-Al2O3 ratio (1:1) showed a spherical shape with a small size, and a porous surface the constituent elements C (4.93%), O (33.31%), Na (13.92%), Al (45.59%) dan Zn (2.24%). The degradation process showed the effective condition were pH 10 and contact time of 200 minutes. The optimum concentration of methylene blue at 20 ppm with percent effectivity of concentration reduction methylene blue i.e. 79.35% and the result of TOC analysis i.e. 22,36%. The Chitosan-Al2O3 can be used to degraded the Methylene blue.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the revenue of broiler breeders a pattern partnership contract farmingmodel in plasma breeders of PT. Mitra Anugrah Satwa (MAS) which is in Kampar Kiri Tengah District Kampar Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method. The Samples in this research using random sampling. The number of respondents is 5people. The results of this research showed that the average income of the breeders and the efficiency of on-farm business in plasma breeders PT. Mitra Anugrah Satwais profitable and feasible to be developed, it is seen from the acquisition value of R/C R ≥ 1. The mean earningplasma breeders of PT. Mitra Anugrah Satwaisequal to Rp.14.415.224,64/period with acquirement of mean of R/CRis 1.09.

Abstract

This study was aims to determine the agribusiness taro in Darussalam Village District Sinaboi Rokan Hilir Regency. This research was conducted in Darussalam Village, Sinaboi District, Rokan Hilir Regency by using survey method. The technique of taking respondents is done by purposive sampling. The results showed that the total production cost of taro farming in one season in Darussalam village was Rp 9.431.770/ha. Average taro yield of 7.052 Kg/ha/MT resulted in net income or farming profit of taro average Rp 13.134.630, -/ha/MT. These results indicate that taro farm in Darussalam Village is efficient and feasible to be continued as indicated by Return Cost Ratio (RCR)> 1 (2.41). Farmers harvest handling is only collecting, sorting and transporting activities whereas the transportation is not done by farmers. The marketing channel of taro in Darussalam village there is only one marketing channel that is from farmer to tauke. Supportive institutional subsystems are farmer group institutions, capital lending institutions, agricultural extension agencies, and government agencies, but not all of them have worked well.
