Abstract

Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is very important to control the continuity of the company's business in the future, because the implementation of policies is directly related to the implementation of elements of legal compliance and compliance with ethical values. The background of the problem in this thesis is PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan delaying the payment of the customer's insurance policy. The formulation of the problem in this study, namely how to evaluate the implementation of GCG at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan and what are the obstacles to implementing GCG at PT Asuransi Jiwaraya (Persero) Medan. This study aims to evaluate the application of the principles of good corporate governance (GCG) at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan. A descriptive approach with qualitative research methods is used by researchers in carrying out this research. The results showed that Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan had implemented GCG but its implementation was not optimal, and there were still obstacles in the implementation of GCG. With this research, it can be used as a guide for companies to evaluate the implementation of GCG principles that have been carried out and provide suggestions for companies to optimize the implementation of GCG principles which are considered not yet maximal in their implementation.

Abstract

Education is the process of influencing learnes to adapt to the environment and can bring about changes in borth within and within the community. However, the scarcity of economics precludes schooling and even dropouts because they help families make ends meet. The study aims to know the implementation of policies and obstacles in the hope family program in Matsum IV district Medan Area. The study employs qualitative methods in which it is descriptive that give a clear picture of the problem at hand. Data collection techniques through interviews to informants who know information about the implementation of PKH policy, literature studies, observation, and documentation to support the results of the interview. The study shows tha the implementation of executive policy PKH in Matsum IV, Medan Area has been seen from the few factors which are   standard   and   target   policy,  human   reseources   and   money   reseources,   executive   agent   PKH characteristics assist the recipient well, executive organization communication is well established, the social, economic, and political environment supports PKH. The study is based on the fact that the economic growth in the country will be affected mainly by education, with the existence of so- called debtors, it is possible to send their children to school even if there is a problem.

Abstract

attraction is able to increase the community’s economy and create jobs. The Problem in this reseach is how to the service in order to increase the tourist visits of Busung Beach and the obstacles that influence it. Method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach, namely describing data from the field and then explaining it the words. The data collection technique is triangulation in three ways, namely observation, interviews, documentation. This study involvet 7 informant, namely 2 key informants, 2 main informants, 3 additional informants. There are four factors that become the basis for analyzing the Busung Beach tourism servicy strategy, namely strangth, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. From this analysis, there are obstacles that affect tourist visit, namely the lack of community participation, the number of other tours that are competitors, the lack of creativity from the community, the lack of connecktivity, the limited skilled workforce. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the strategy carried out by Busung Beach tourism objecks is to involve the community to maintain the beauty of the beach so that it looks well- geoomed and does  not  affect the natural exoticism of  the beach, provide adequate supporting faciities (prayer rooms, toilets, tourist huts, beachside cafes, boats), showing the hospotality of thr coast guart to tourist visitors, providing a fairly large play area, easy accessability to the beach, which is guaranteed enough security to increase Busung Beach tourism visitors.

Abstract

The role of banking in economic development is to channel funds for economic activities, one of which is in the form of credit for individual communities or business entities in the surrounding areas such as the Cape Morawa area. Bank Rayat Indonesia is an executing bank that distributes the most people's business loans. This is because Bank Rakyat Indonesia has a broad network compared to other implementing banks so that it is easy to distribute credit. So so so so that that aims to find out the implementation of policies and problems that occur in presenting Business Loans to customers at the Tanjung Morawa BRI Unit. This research method uses qualitative methods. Technique data through observation and documentation. By wrongly, the implementation of policies carried out by the Tanjung Morawa BRI Unit has not gone well, causing suspicion in the distribution of the People's Business Credit which is due to the communication made by the Bank and reducing existing human resources, resulting in reduced understanding of KUR for prospective customers.

Abstract

The The healthy Indonesian card is a card that has a function to provide health insurance to the underprivileged with the aim of getting free health services in order to make it easier for the underprivileged in treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Healthy Indonesia Card program in Lubuk Saban Village, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency and its inhibiting factors.The theory used is communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the Healthy Indonesia Card Program in Lubuk Saban Village, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency has not been effective and has not been on target. The obstacle faced in the Healthy Indonesia Card program was the incomplete data on medicines in the health centers for recipients of the Healthy Indonesia Card. This is not optimal for village officials to communicate with the community when explaining the existence of the KIS program because at the time of gathering the community to socialize only twice a month. And with these inhibiting factors still unable to utilize the potential of natural resources, this study can be concluded that the economy of the underprivileged is helped because they do not think about the costs for medical expenses because they have been registered in the KIS program which has been socialized by the village.

Abstract

Poverty alleviation is a policy of government and local government programs that are carried out systematically, planned, and in synergy with the business world and the community to reduce the number of poor people in order to improve the welfare of the people. This study aims to find out how the process of implementing policies on poverty reduction in Sukamandi Hilir Village is and to find out the inhibiting factors in implementing these policies. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation review. The data that has been collected is then tested for validity using data triangulation testing techniques. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the variables that influence the implementation of the policies proposed by Van Meter and van Horn, the implementation of Perda no. 3 of 2018 concerning poverty alleviation in Sukamandi Hilir Village, Dusun IV did not run optimally due to a lack of communication and coordination in the implementation process, this also caused several programs not to be implemented properly.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tentang bagaimana kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah dalam menanggulangi terjadinya prostitusi liar di berbagai daerah di Kota Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yaitu menggabarkan suatu fenomena yang terjadi dan berkembang di masyarakat (fenomenologi). Untuk mendapatkan  data-data penelitian dilakukan tehnik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, dokumentasi, studi literatur dan observasi, dengan harapan mendapatkan data yang akurat. Adapun alat yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara. Tehnik analisis data yang didapatkan dari lapangan kemudian diolah melalui tahapn reduksi data, verifikasi data dan mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa prostitusi di Kota Medan oleh pelaku Pekerja Seks Komersial (PSK) adalah perbuatan melakukan hubungan seksual dengan cara berganti-ganti pasangan yang bukan istri atau suaminya dan dilakukan ditempat-tempat tertentu atau disebut lokalisasi seperti di hotel, tempat rekreasi, perkampungan dan lain-lain. Para PSK secara finansial mendapatkan keuntungan dari kegiatan yang mereka lakukan, sehingga menjadi sebuah ketergantungan untuk bekerja seperti itu. Keuntungan yang didapatkan menurut mereka sangat praktis, sehingga membuat ketagihan. Dalam praktiknya pemerintah kota Medan menerapkan kebijakan berupa penertiban para PSK melalui Dinas Sosial Kota Medan dengan melibatkan Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol-PP), pihak Kepolisian dari Polrestabes Medan. Pada prinsipnya setiap PSK yang sudah terjaring razia Pemerintah Kota Medan hanya melakukan pendataan dan pembinaan melalui siraman rohani, lalu dilepas kembali sehingga tidak memberikan efek jera. Data-data PSK yang tersebar di Kota Medan bukan hanya berasal dari wilayah Kota Medan, akan tetapi dari wilayah lain seperti Deli Serdang. Hambatan penanggulangan praktik prostitusi terutama disebabkan cakupan wilayah cukup luas terdiri dari 11 Kecamatan dan 144 Kelurahan, sehingga dalam penerapan kebijakannya belum efektif dikarenakan kegiatan razia dilaksanakan hanya bersifat insidentil dan para PSK merasa leluasa menjalankan aksinya. Ditambah lagi adanya informasi yang bocor ketika hendak dilakukan razia, sehingga para PSK bisa kabur terlebih dahulu.

Abstract

The business competition among bus operators is becoming more dynamic, therefore every bus company needs to prepare marketing strategies to attract customers and survive in the competition. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews. The research participants include the Head of the Medan Representative Office, ticket officers, agents, warehouse staff, and 8 loyal customers. Based on the findings, the promotional strategy implemented by the Medan Representative Office focuses more on advertising promotion. This strategy is carried out by publicizing all types of routes and fleets used through the company's Facebook and YouTube accounts. Additionally, the company often distributes calendars to customers towards the end of the year. On the other hand, direct marketing promotion is done through the dalihan na tolu approach, which means ticket officers often use local greetings such as ipar, lae, oppung, bapak uda, amangboru, and anggi to address customers, with the aim of creating familiarity, building a sense of family, and establishing emotional connections through local approaches.

Abstract

Harmonious village is a village inhabited by people from different ethnicities, tribes, clans, and religions who can coexist peacefully. The research problem is why the people of Sibadoar village are committed to preserving the harmonious village, and whether there are threats to preserving Sibadoar village as a harmonious village. To obtain data, a qualitative descriptive research method was used with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, direct observations, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and literature review. The research informants included the Subdistrict Head of Sipirok, the Head of Sibadoar Village, the chairman of the Interfaith Communication Forum of Sipirok, village officials, non-official village groups, including community leaders, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and youth leaders who are knowledgeable about the subject under investigation. Based on the research, the commitment of the community to preserve the status of the Harmonious Village is primarily due to the sense of kinship within the Dalihan Na Tolu bond. With this concept, they feel like a unified entity, so any shortcomings of their fellow villagers must be forgiven because it would bring shame to the village residents. The Dalihan Na Tolu tradition has a strong influence on the daily activities of the community, including customary rituals, whether they involve celebrations (siriaon) or mourning (siluluton). In conclusion, the community has a strong desire to maintain the status of a harmonious village. However, slowly, the development of technology, transportation, and information has affected the determination of the community to maintain the status of a harmonious village, especially among the younger generation.

Abstract

Pasar Kamu adalah singkatan Pekan Sarapan Karya Anak Muda yang merupakan salah satu daerah wisata kuliner. Pasar Kamu, dikenal sebagai platform ekonomi kreatif yang terdapat di Desa Denai Lama, Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang Sumatera Utara. Aktivitas pasar dibuka setiap hari Minggu, jam 06.00WIB hingga jam 11.00WIB. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis strategi yang dilakukan pengelola menarik minat pengunjung. Jenis penelitian yaitu kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengolahan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Informan penelitian, Ketua Kelompok Pasar Kamu 3 orang, pedagang 3 orang dan pengunjung. Hasil penelitian: Pengelola “Pasar Kamu” mengajak masyarakat Sadar Wisata (Masata) Deli Serdang bekerja sama, kemudian merancang “Pasar Kamu” seperti pasar rakyat tradisional dengan menawarkan makanan tradisional Melayu dan Jawa. Konsep ekonomi kreatif terlihat dari peran pemuda setempat dalam kegiatan pasar, yaitu sebagai produsen sekaligus penjual. Namun, mereka kurang memiliki skill marketing sehingga belum menghasilkan income yang lebih besar. Kesimpulan, pelayanan yang diberikan pedagang belum maksimal dan pengembangan usaha masih terkendala karena masih dikelola secara tradisional. Disarankan, para pedagang di “Pasar Kamu” perlu diberdayakan supaya sistem pelayanan semakin baik dan penghasilan masyarakat semakin meningkat.
