Abstract

Peradilan Agama merupakan salah satu pelaksana kekuasaan kehakiman di Indonesia di samping tiga peradilan yang lain, yakni Peradilan Negeri, Peradilan Militer, dan Peradilan Tata Usaha Negara. Keberadaan Peradilan Agama di Indonesia sudah dimulai sejak Indonesia belum merdeka, yaitu sejak masa pemerintahan kolonial Be/anda. Dalam perjalanan sejarahnya, Peradilan Agama menempuh proses yang cukup panjang hingga dimantapkannya kedudukan Peradilan Agama oleh pemerintah Indonesia, yaitu dengan dikeluarkannya Undang-undang Nomor7 Tahun 1989 ten tang Peradilan Agama (UUP A). Dengan UUPA ini maka kedudukan Peradilan Agama sama dan setingkat dengan tiga peradilan lainnya dalam lingkup peradilan nasional. Peradilan Agama memiliki wewenang untuk memeriksa, memutus, dan menyelesaikan perkara­perkara umat Islam. dalam bidang perkawinan, kewarisan, dan perwakafan. Dengan kedudukan dan wewenang Peradilan Agama seperti di atas, Peradilan Agama dapat dikatakan sebagai salah satu institusi penegak hukum di Indonesia khususnya dalam bidang hukum Islam. Namun, harus diakui. bahwa jangkauan Peradilan Agama masih sangat terbatas. Peradilan Agama baru menangani perkara-perkara umat Islam dalam ketiga hukum keperdataan seperti di alas, be/um menjangkau bidang hukum yang lain, seperti hukum pidana dan hukum-hukum lainnya.

Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive study aims to discuss to what extent the teachers utilize ICT in teaching and learning activities, as teaching media and learning resources as well as the obstacles faced by teachers while utilizing ICT. The population of this study was the teachers of SMK Dar El Hikmah Boarding School selected by using total sampling technique (n: 20). Data were gathered by distributing a set of questionnaire designed in the form of five points of the Likert scale. The data were analysed using Microsoft Excel 2010. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded the utilization of ICT in teaching and learning activities in general was in high level category, with the mean of 3.6. Specifically, the utilization of ICT in teaching and learning process was in high category level, and the utilization of ICT as teaching media and learning resources was in mediocre category level, with the mean score of 3.18. Obstacles related to availability of facilities and infrastructures were faced by the teachers and some suggestions to overcome the problems are given in this research.Keywords: Utilization, ICT, teaching media, learning resources.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at finding out the effect of Partner Reading Strategy on the second year students’ reading comprehension in recount texts at Junior High School 40 Pekanbaru. Pre-experimental research design was used for this study. The sample was selected using Cluster Random Sampling. Class VIIIE was chosen as the experimental class. The instrument for pre-test and post-test was in a form of multiple choices. The test consisted of 5 recount texts with 8 multiple choice items for each text. T-test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between students’ reading comprehension scores before and after being taught by using Partner Reading Strategy. The finding showed that the mean score of pre-test was 45.89 and the mean score of post-test was 59.55. The result also showed that the value of t-test (6.460) was higher than t-table (2.064). It means that the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Hence, there is a significant effect of Partner Reading Strategy on the second year students’ reading comprehension in recount texts at Junior High School 40 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Effect, Partner Reading Strategy, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract : This research was aimed at finding out the ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Kerinci Kanan in comprehending recount texts. The population of this study was the second year students in academic year 2018/2019. The sample size was 30 students out of the population chosen by using cluster random sampling. The data were collected by administering a reading test of recount texts. The collected datawere analyzed and calculated by using Microsoft Excel. The findings of the research showed that the mean score of the test was 57.2 (mediocre level). Meanwhile, the mean score in terms of finding factual information is 65.3 (good level). The mean score in terms of finding main idea, meaning of difficult word, reference and restatement is 58,57.3, 56.6 and 48.6 (mediocre level). Therefore,it could be concluded that the ability ofstudents in comprehending recount texts was categorized into mediocre level.Key Words: Ability, Reading Comprehension, Recount Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out the ability of the English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau in identifying the appropriate meaning expressed by modal auxiliaries. The population of this research was the first year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau with the total number of 111 students. The number of the sample was 34 students selected by using cluster sampling technique. The instrument to collect the data was a test in the form of multiple choice tests which consisted of 40 questions. The test was used to know the ability of the students in identifying the appropriate meaning expressed by modal auxiliaries specifically the meanings of permission, obligation, possibility and ability. The data were analyzed by classifying them into four levels of ability, which are poor, poor to average, average to good, and good to excellent. Based on the findings of the research, it was found out that the ability of the first year students of English Study Program FKIP Univeristas Riau in identifying the appropriate meaning expressed by modal auxiliaries was in average to good level with the mean score of 66.10. The implication of this research is that the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau had good ability in identifying the appropriate meaning expressed by modal auxiliaries.Key Words: Study, ability, identifying, modal auxiliaries

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant effect using Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. The research design was a re-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample was class IX-3 chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. In order to collect the data, a pre-test and post-test were administered and then the data were statistically analyzed by using the t-test formula. The result showed that the mean score of the post-test was higher than the mean score of the pre-test (51.43>47.39). The value of t-test was 11.528 while the value of t-table in significance level 5% df = 32 was 2.037. Therefore, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It could be concluded that there was a significant effect of using Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: mengimplementasikan nilai karakter dalam kegiatan PMR tingkat wira di sekolah binaan PMI Kota Malang. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitiatif yang dilaksanakan bulan Februari sampai April 2013 di SMAN 5 Malang, SMA Frateran Malang, SMKN 2 Malang, dan MAN Malang I. Teknik pengambilan data terdiri atas: wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Nilai Kemanusiaan keempat sekolah dengan melaksanakan kegiatan kemasyarakatan dan donor darah; Nilai Kesamaan MAN I dan SMKN 2 menerapkan jiwa corsa, SMAN 5 menghilangkan batas senioritas, dan SMA Frateran melaksanakan outing; Nilai Kenetralan MAN I tidak membela organisasi manapun, SMKN 2 dan SMAN 5 memberikan santunan kepada siapapun, dan SMA Frateran boleh mengikuti ekstrakurikuler lain; Nilai Kemandirian MAN I dan SMAN 5 mengurus administrasi secara mandiri, SMKN 2 menerapkan disiplin waktu, SMA Frateran mengumpulkan kas; Nilai Kesukarelaan keempat sekolah dengan memberikan pertolongan tanpa imbalan; Nilai Kesatuan keempat sekolah dengan mempererat silaturahmi dengan warga sekolah; Nilai Kesemestaan MAN I berupa penyuluhan kesehatan, SMKN 2 dan SMA Frateran PMR selalu hadir di kegiatan sekolah, SMAN 5 mengirimkan duta untuk kegiatan nasional dan Internasional. Abstract

This activity aims to apply Bernoulli's law to the piping system in the hydrant pump to meet the needs of residents in bathing, washing, and irrigating the fields. The activity begins with conducting a site review survey, counseling and determining the location of pump placement, making pumps and towers, and lifting pumps and towers to the location. Then the activities at the location are divided into several parts, including the manufacture of civil and mechanical pump systems and testing the success of the pump system. This activity carried out the manufacture of hydrant pumps by installing pipes using Bernoulli's law to meet the needs of the residents of Jorong Batu Gadang, totaling 30 families and irrigating rice fields covering an area of 78 ha, which are rainfed rice fields. The results of the activities carried out at Nagari Katialo, Jorong Batu Gadang in applying the concept of Bernoulli's Law to the piping system at the hydrant pump made water faster to reach the highest point of the piping system that had been made. As for the difference in height between the position of the pump and the water level in the reservoir (tank) of 30 meters, the flow of water rising to the tank is 2 liters/second. The people of Jorong Katialo can already enjoy the water stored in the reservoir. The success of this pump system is shown from less than 10 minutes of testing the water successfully to the water reservoir above the tower with a height difference of 30 meters from the placement of the hydrant pump.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan generik  sains (KGS) siswa, menguji apakah KGS siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan melalui pembelajaran dengan Program Pembelajaran Fisika berbasis IT2PK, dan menyelidiki apakah pembelajaran fisika berbasis IT2PK lebih efektif dari pembelajaran reguler dalam meningkatkan KGS siswa. Penelitian  ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen kuasi dengan kelompok kontrol tidak ekivalen dan disertai pemberian tes awal dan tes akhir (nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design). Pembelajaran pada kelompok eksperimen menggunakan pembelajaran fisika berbasis IT2PK, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran reguler. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII semester 2 tahun ajaran 2008/2009 di sebuah SMP Negeri di Kota Mataram - NTB. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes kemampuan generik sains (KGS) berbentuk tes uraian sebanyak 14 butir, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan program SPSS versi 16 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) KGS siswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis IT2PK secara umum dalam kualifikasi baik, dengan  peningkatan skor yang dialami dikategorikan sedang; (2) setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran fisika berbasis IT2PK, KGS siswa kelompok ekperimen mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan; dan (3) pembelajaran fisika berbasis IT2PK lebih efektif dari pembelajaran reguler dalam meningkatkan KGS siswa.Kata kunci: Program pembelajaran fisika, inkuiri terbimbing tipe penyelidikan kelompok,  kemampuan generik sains   AbstractThe aim of this research is to describe the students’ generic science skills, to know whether it would have increased significantly after the students underwent learning through the Physics learning program based on guided inquiry with group investigation type or not and to examine whether it is more effective than the Regular Learning Program in improving the students’ generic science skills or not. This is a quasi-experimental study in which nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design is applied. The Physics learning program based on guided inquiry with group investigation type was employed in the experimental group, whereas the Regular Learning Program was employed in the control group. The subjects of this study are the second semester students of class VII in academic year 2008/2009 at a junior high school in Mataram NTB. The data are taken from the students’ generic science skills test in a 14 items essay test, and then they are analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS 16 version for Windows. The results showed (1) the description of the students’ generic science skills, (2) after learning through the Physics learning program based on guided inquiry with group investigation type, the students’ generic science skills increased significantly; and (3) the Physics learning program based on guided inquiry with group investigation type is more effective than the Regular Learning Program in improving the students’ generic science skills. Keywords       : Physics learning program, guided inquiry with group investigation type, generic science skills

Abstract

COVID-19 has become a terrifying thing for everyone. The government has made several decisions to prevent the spread of this disease, such as the program of physical distancing where economic, educational, entertainment, social, and even religious activities are requested to be carried out at home. The physical distancing policy also has a negative impact. This program results in reduced community mobility and a sluggish economy. Many people working in the informal sector with a daily income are experiencing difficulties. They struggle to meet their daily needs, especially buying face masks and hand sanitizers. This problem has inspired our community service team at the Department of Physics FMIPA Andalas University, West Sumatra (Indonesia), to make a program to overcome this problem by distributing 400 pieces of cloth masks and 120 bottles of hand sanitizer accessible to the public. This activity was very beneficial for the community, shown by their enthusiasm when the stock of cloth masks and hand sanitizers was gone in one hour. Most people do not use masks in outdoor activities, not because they do not want to wear them, but because of economic constraints. There is a need that is more important than a mask. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially to the poor, the government must provide them with free masks.
