Abstract

It is widely acknowledged that the use of picture stories supports the improved study interest of students. Interest or high desire in learning is necessary because if the learning without the strong will, then the job was not getting good results. But teaching materials that have many pictures have not been used in schools. The aim of this research is to know the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of module based on picture stories to improve study interest of the student in the material environmental pollution. The type of this research is a development research which applies a 4D model of Thiagarajan et al. 4D model consists of four steps, but in this research only limited on the third step. The results showed that validity of the module is valid, enforceability value indicates that the module is practical to be used, and it is also effective to improve student's interest in environmental pollution material.

Abstract

This study aims to review the dynamics of the fluid in the flow Damarwulan waterfall as material to design student worksheets in physics high school. This type of research is descriptive. The results showed that the water flow speed in the cross sectional area of 7,167 cm2 and 2,876.2 cm2 was 4.7 cm/s and 14.1 cm/s. Measurements on another stream with a cross sectional area of 4,752 cm2 and 1,697.5 cm2 current rate is 9.4 cm/s and 28.2 cm/s. While the water flow speed in the waterfall show at a height of 5.49 m and 3.01 m is 10.37 m/s and 7.68 m/s. The density rate waterfall A and B of 1.05 m3/s and 0.78 m3/s so potential micro hydro generated is 56,866.765 W and 23,117.44 W. The results of research conducted that data in accordance with the theory, so can be used as the material for designing student worksheets for learning physics in high school.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji keterampilan mahasiswa secara kolaboratif menyelesaikan saat diberikan permasalahan pembelajaran dan disebut Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). Metode yang digunakan untuk mengkaji keterampilan CPS mahasiswa menggunakan evaluasi countenance stake. Analisis skema observation dan judgement menggunakan pendekatan Model Rasch. Metode pengumpulan data secara observasi untuk keterampilan CPS meliputi Cognitive Skills dan Social Skills, data lembar hasil penyelesaian masalah (LO), dan Kuesioner pengalaman belajar mahasiswa (CEQ). Hasil analisis congruence dan contigency dengan Model Rasch menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki cognitive skills yang cukup baik, namun social skills mahasiswa tidak dimiliki secara maksimal. Sehingga tingkat keberhasilan penyelesaian masalah masih kurang dari standar karena berbagai potensi ide solusi seluruh anggota tidak terakomodir secara baik. Selain itu, temuan penelitian memberikan rekomendaasi perlunya kajian lebih lanjut terkait keterempilan bernalar dan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah agar diketahui kreativitas berpikir dan cara bernalar seperti apa yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk mengambil keputusan atau solusi permasalahan.

Abstract

Getaran Harmonis Sederhana (GHS) adalah gerakan bolak-balik suatu benda melalui titik keseimbangannya dengan frekuensi dan amplitudo yang konstan. Pendulum sederhana merupakan bentuk eksperimen yang umum digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk menjelaskan konsep getaran harmonis sederhana yakni suatu sistem yang bergerak dan bergetar secara periodik yang terdiri dari benda dengan massa tertentu yang diikat dan dikaitkan dengan benang atau tali tak bermassa (dengan massa yang diabaikan). Bandul adalah benda yang digantung pada tali atau batang dan dapat berayun bolak-balik melalui titik keseimbangannya. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi frekuensi ayunan bandul yaitu panjang tali, percepatan gravitasi, dan massa bandul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh panjang tali terhadap frekuensi getaran ayunan bandul pada massa yang berbeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan memvariasikan panjang tali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi getaran berbanding terbalik dengan panjang tali. Artinya, semakin panjang tali, semakin kecil frekuensi getarannya. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil eksperimen pendulum sederhana yakni pada data perbandingan pada panjang tali yang berbeda.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki siswa tergolong rendah, hal ini juga berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan authetic video terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian posttest only control group. Data primer diperoleh melalui tes yang dilakukan di akhir kegiatan pembelajaran (posttest), data hasil tes akan dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian berpikir kritis kedua kelas menunjukkan 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga kedua kelas memiliki perbedaan nilai yang signifikan. Sementara hasil belajar dengan ketentuan taraf signifikansi yang sama memiliki hasil sebesar 0,011<0,05 yang artinya hasil belajar kedua kelas berbeda secara signifikan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL berbantuan authentic video berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang.

Abstract

Dalam pendidikan fisika, banyak konsep abstrak seperti energi tidak dapat diamati secara langsung, sehingga memerlukan metode pengajaran yang secara efektif menyampaikan ide-ide abstrak tersebut. Studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana siswa yang membuat animasi stop-motion dapat membantu mengembangkan pemahaman mereka tentang konsep energi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, metodologi penelitian ini melibatkan lima tahap: persiapan, pengenalan, pengenalan fenomena, pembuatan animasi, dan diskusi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa dalam animasi stop-motion memfasilitasi pengembangan pemahaman mereka tentang konsep energi. Penelitian ini menyoroti bahwa kreasi desain fase oleh siswa membantu mereka memvisualisasikan aspek energi momen demi momen dalam gerakan bola tenis, yang menumbuhkan pemahaman yang beragam di antara siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggarisbawahi peran proses chunking dan sequencing dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa.

Abstract

The research aims to develop an Android-based Augmented-Virtual Reality learning medium on digestive system materials for junior high school on human digestive system materials. The study implemented an instructional design model based on ADDIE, with eight classroom meetings to assess student learning outcomes. Pretest and posttest scores were used to calculate the N-gain score, reflecting the students’ improvement in understanding the material. The study involved 40 students. The results showed a significant improvement in student performance, with an N-gain score of 0.62, indicating moderate learning gains. The practical application of the media was deemed feasible, and students reported high levels of engagement and satisfaction with the media. These findings suggest that the learning media effectively supported the students' comprehension and engagement in science, and the use of the ADDIE model provided a structured approach to assessing its impact on learning. Abstract

Natural Science concepts, such as Structure and Function of cell, are often difficult for students to understand because of their microscopic characteristics and are not visible directly. This study aims to analyze the conceptual understanding of students before and after using Virtual Reality-based learning media and evaluate the effectiveness of the media in improving knowledge of Structure and Function of cell. The research was conducted at SMP 07 Ma'arif Perintis with the subject of class VIII students. The method used is qualitative research with exploratory study design. The results showed that after the use of virtual reality video, students had an increase in understanding of concepts. Interactive visualization presented through Virtual Reality technology helps students more easily uncover abstract concepts with concrete visual representations, thus supporting a deeper understanding of the structure and function of cell. Virtual reality-based learning media provides a more interesting learning experience and allows students to visualize the structure and function of cells clearly, thus helping to clarify concepts that are difficult to understand.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the integration of the Discovery Learning model with the STEM approach in science education and its contribution to developing computational thinking skills among junior high school students. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 12 selected articles published between 2019 and 2025 were analyzed based on thematic relevance and alignment with the research objectives. The findings indicate that the integration of Discovery Learning and STEM effectively enhances 21st-century skills, particularly computational thinking abilities such as problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and pattern recognition. Among the reviewed literature, the study by Sa’adah, Putri, & Yuliana (2023) was identified as the most relevant, as it incorporates all key aspects of this review. Overall, the findings provide a theoretical and practical foundation for educators and curriculum developers to design innovative, contextual, and high-level thinking-oriented science learning strategies.

Abstract

Natural Science (IPA) learning has a strategic role in shaping students' critical thinking skills, especially at the Junior High School (SMP) level. The discovery learning method is present as an approach that emphasizes the active involvement of students in discovering scientific concepts through the process of observation, experimentation, and reflection. This article aims to examine the role of discovery learning in science learning as a means to develop critical thinking skills in junior high school students. The study was conducted through a systematic literature study approach to various relevant scientific research and publications. The results of the study indicate that the application of discovery learning can improve critical thinking skills such as the ability to analyze, evaluate, and conclude scientific information. In addition, this strategy also encourages students' learning independence and curiosity. Thus, discovery learning can be an effective approach to improving the quality of science learning at the junior high school level.
