Abstract

This study examines the relationship between work–life balance and employee well-being among 93 employees working in a social service institution. This topic is important because employees in social-based organizations often face emotional demands and high workload intensity that can disrupt balance and reduce overall well-being. Based on Hudson's (2005) work–life balance model and Zheng's (2015) employee well-being framework, this study hypothesizes that higher work–life balance is associated with higher well-being. The study employs a quantitative correlational design with purposive sampling. Data were collected through a 42-item Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS, including assumption tests (normality) followed by Pearson or Spearman correlation depending on data distribution. The findings show a significant positive relationship between work–life balance and employee well-being, highlighting the importance of organizational policies that support balanced work demands to enhance the psychological, social, and workplace well-being of social service employees.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry faces increasing operational complexity due to digital transformation and heightened demands for innovation and coordination. Recent studies indicate that collaborative leadership offers a viable alternative to traditional hierarchical leadership by emphasizing shared responsibility and collective decision-making (Wu et al., 2021). This preliminary study aims to examine the concept and relevance of collaborative leadership in the manufacturing industry through a qualitative review of recent literature published between 2020 and 2025. Using a thematic literature review approach, this study identifies key leadership mechanisms and organizational outcomes associated with collaborative leadership practices. The findings suggest that collaborative leadership is associated with improved team performance, innovation capability, organizational agility, and supply chain collaboration within manufacturing contexts (Shan et al., 2023). However, its effectiveness is contingent upon organizational culture, leadership readiness, and role clarity. This study provides foundational insights and highlights directions for future empirical research in manufacturing organizations.

Abstract

This study analyzes job crafting practices among civil servants at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of East Java Province (Disnakertrans Jatim). Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five purposively selected employees. Thematic analysis reveals that employees engage in all three dimensions of job crafting, though the extent of implementation varies. Relational crafting emerged as the most dominant dimension for strengthening social capital and work coordination. Cognitive crafting is utilized by employees to redefine the meaning of their work, while task crafting remains limited to informal adjustments due to bureaucratic constraints. These findings underscore that job crafting serves as a crucial mechanism for employee adaptability in the public sector. Practically, this study recommends the need for flexible organizational structures, increased autonomy, and enhanced inter-unit collaboration to optimize public service performance.

Abstract

This research investigates the connection between perceived organizational support (POS) and innovative work behavior (IWB) among teachers at SMK Negeri X in Surabaya. POS denotes educators' opinions of the school's appreciation for their contributions and concern for their personal and professional welfare, whereas creative work behavior encompasses the creation, promotion, and execution of novel ideas in pedagogy and learning. The research hypothesized a significant positive relationship between POS also innovative work behavior. The product moment correlation test was used in a quantitative correlational scheme. Participants were 72 teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered utilizing a POS scale derived from Rhoades and Eisenberger (2002) and a novel work behavior measure modified from De JongDen Hartog (2010). This finding revealed a substatial value below 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of 0.609, signifying a robust positive impact across the variables. These findings indicate that organizational support correlates with innovation.

Abstract

In an increasingly complex technological landscape, digital literacy is essential for adolescents to navigate digital risks and advancements effectively. This quantitative study investigates the impact of digital literacy and media awareness on middle school students’ understanding of digital security and technological issues in Indonesia. Using a cross-sectional survey of 902 participants, data were analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that digital literacy has a significant positive effect on students’ media use, digital security management, and awareness of technological developments. Furthermore, Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) reveals that digital literacy is the most influential factor among the variables studied. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating digital literacy education into school curricula to foster responsible and secure digital behavior among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of work motivation among non-formal teachers, focusing on the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence their motivation and performance. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), which examines relevant articles from various sources related to the work motivation of non-formal teachers. The results of the study indicate that intrinsic motivation, such as satisfaction in teaching and the feeling of contributing to the development of students, plays a major role in increasing the commitment and teaching quality of non-formal teachers. Extrinsic motivation, such as awards and incentives, also provides additional encouragement, although in the long term, its influence is more limited. Leadership that supports teacher autonomy, work experience, and social support among colleagues were found to play an important role in strengthening teacher work motivation. Psychological factors, including emotional regulation, also play a role in maintaining motivation even when faced with stress. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of non-formal teachers' work motivation and its implications for non-formal education management.

Abstract

The Indonesian textile and textile product (TPT) industry faces serious challenge due to significant export performance decline, demanding companies to strengthen employee performance as strategic asset. This research aims to identify the significance of relationship between work meaningfulness and work engagement on production employees of textile company. Using quantitative approach with correlational design, the research involves 72 production employees of Company X who were selected through simple random sampling. Data was collected using work meaningfulness scale that was developed based on the concept of Steger (2019) and work engagement based on the concept of Schaufeli and Bakker (2010), which then was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation. Research results show significant positive relationship between work meaningfulness with work engagement (r = 0.406, p < 0.05), with contribution amounting to 16.4% toward work engagement variance. This finding confirms work meaningfulness plays role as work resource that strengthens work engagement of production employees in the context of TPT industry, in alignment with Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model. The practical implication of this research suggests human resource management to increase work engagement through strengthening perception of work meaningfulness, particularly by clarifying work contribution toward organizational goals and wide society.
