Abstract

As people are able to combine data from several sources on their mobile devices, personalise their profiles via applications and social media, and engage dynamically with their environment, context-based marketing is becoming more and more common. There is a growing need for more contextually relevant data due to the abundance of information available online. Modern Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are becoming increasingly important to the tourism industry because they provide tools to better target the context in which their users work. Context-aware marketing makes use of technology that dynamically identify consumers' physical surroundings. This essay combines the ideas of personalisation, social media, context-based marketing, and mobile devices, proposing the Social Context Marketing Model (SCXM) as a novel approach to enhance value for everybody involved in the tourist sector. With the introduction of a new paradigm for travel and tourism, SCXM enables businesses and tourist locations to transform their offers and dynamically co-create goods and services with customers. The tourist industry's new prospects and problems are examined using a notional SCXM model.

Abstract

Training on the use of Edredo based on Simulation-Based Learning is designed to improve the digital pedagogy skills of teachers at SMKS Handayani Gowa. This activity was carried out as a response to the limited skills of teachers in implementing digital learning that is relevant to the demands of the 21st century. The training was conducted through the stages of pre-test, simulation of using Edredo, reflection, interactive discussion, digital project implementation, and post-test. The pre-test results showed that the participants' average digital pedagogy skills were low to moderate, with an average score of 2.08 to 3.17. After the training, there was a significant increase in post-test scores which ranged from 4.42 to 4.58. The results of paired samples t-test analysis showed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.001). The distribution of post-test scores centred in the high score range (4.0 to 5.0) showed an even distribution of skill improvement among the trainees. Documentation of the activities showed the participants' enthusiasm in following all stages of the training, from the simulation of using Edredo to the implementation of digital projects. Thus, the implementation of Edredo based on Simulation-Based Learning proved effective in significantly improving teachers' digital pedagogy skills at SMKS Handayani Gowa. This finding is expected to be a reference for the development of digital technology-based teacher training models in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

In evaluating the performance of PDAMs in various regions, the gov-ernment must also look at the problems that occur in a regional drinking water company such as customer water quality, customer growth, prof-itability, liquidity and financial performance solvency. For this reason, local governments need to evaluate performance in order to improve performance in the company. Generally, companies still use the tradi-tional approach in measuring performance that comes from company financial information, along with the times there is performance meas-urement using the balanced scorecard method, this method is a meas-urement method that offers both financial and non-financial measure-ments. This study aims to determine the effect of installed capacity on opera-tional performance to determine the effect of real production volume on operational performance and to find out which is the most influential between installed capacity and real production volume on the opera-tional performance of PDAMs in West Java, Banten and Jakarta in 2018. In this study the author uses a quantitative approach. This research da-ta collection uses secondary data, which is obtained from the report on the results of the 2018 PDAM performance evaluation issued by BPKP and BPPSPAM. This research uses SPSS multiple regression analysis tool. The results show that the Installed Capacity has a minimum value of 188, the maximum value of Installed Capacity is 20,238. The Real Pro-duction Volume has a minimum value of 146, the maximum value of the Real Production Volume of 19,752 that occurs. Operational perfor-mance has a minimum value of 0.81, the maximum value of Opera-tional Performance is 1.69. The mean value of Operational Performance is 1.2547.

Abstract

Penggunaan platform marketplace telah menjadi strategi yang semakin populer dalam dunia bisnis, termasuk dalam penjualan peralatan peraga pendidikan kejuruan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran penggunaan marketplace dalam meningkatkan penjualan peralatan peraga pendidikan di Kota Makassar. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber, termasuk wawancara dengan penjual dan pembeli, serta analisis data penjualan dari beberapa marketplace terkemuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan marketplace memberikan berbagai manfaat signifikan, seperti jangkauan pasar yang lebih luas, peningkatan visibilitas produk, dan efisiensi dalam proses transaksi. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa keberadaan marketplace membantu para pelaku usaha kecil dan menengah di sektor pendidikan kejuruan untuk bersaing di pasar yang lebih besar dan lebih kompetitif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan marketplace berperan penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan penjualan peralatan peraga pendidikan kejuruan di Kota Makassar, serta memberikan rekomendasi strategi bagi pelaku usaha untuk memaksimalkan potensi penjualan melalui platform digital ini.

Abstract

The application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in microcontroller-based robotic system engineering teaching aids is an innovative solution in improving the effectiveness of vocational learning, especially in the field of mechatronics and industrial automation. This study aims to analyse the impact of using IoT-based teaching aids and microcontrollers (such as Arduino or ESP32) in improving students' understanding of robotic concepts and practical skills. The research method used a quasi-experimental experiment by comparing a control group (using conventional teaching aids) and an experimental group (using IoT teaching aids). Data were collected through practical tests, learning satisfaction questionnaires, and student performance observations. The results showed that the use of IoT props increased the understanding of robotic concepts by 25% and the speed of completing practical tasks by 30% compared to traditional methods. In addition, 85% of students stated that IoT-based teaching aids are more interactive and facilitate real-time visualisation of robotic systems through digital interfaces. However, the main challenge lies in the need for stable network infrastructure and teacher training in operating IoT devices. This study concludes that the integration of IoT in microcontroller-based robotic teaching aids has the potential to improve the quality of vocational learning, with recommendations for strengthening infrastructure support and teacher training to optimise implementation.

Abstract

Electricity subsidy is one of the government intervention policies in order to improve people's welfare, especially low-income households. This study aims to analyze the impact of electricity subsidies on household welfare in terms of expenditure, access to children's education, and economic productivity. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 120 households receiving subsidies in urban and rural areas in South Sulawesi Province. The results of the study indicate that electricity subsidies are able to reduce the proportion of electricity expenditure to total household expenditure, increase children's attendance and learning activities at night, and encourage household economic activities such as micro and home businesses. Thus, electricity subsidies have been proven to make a positive contribution to improving welfare, although improvements are still needed in the beneficiary targeting system. This study recommends increasing the accuracy of subsidy recipient data and integrating programs with household productivity interventions.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Tambak Kemerakan, Kecamatan Krian, Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital khususnya melalui website store.umaha.ac.id sebagai media promosi dan penjualan produk. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis situasi melalui wawancara, persiapan materi dan instrumen kegiatan, serta pelaksanaan pelatihan yang mencakup penyampaian materi, simulasi, dan sesi tanya jawab. Para peserta dikenalkan pada konsep digital marketing, cara kerja website, serta proses pengiriman data produk untuk ditampilkan secara online. Selain itu, dilakukan optimalisasi SEO agar produk UMKM mudah ditemukan melalui mesin pencari Google. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mendapatkan pemahaman baru tentang pentingnya pemasaran digital dan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam memanfaatkan platform yang disediakan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan visibilitas usaha mitra UMKM secara online, memperluas jangkauan pasar, dan berdampak langsung pada peningkatan penjualan serta keuntungan usaha.

Abstract

Pengembangan minuman lumut cincau di Indonesia memiliki potensi besar unuk meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menambah nilai pendapatan ibu-ibu rumah tangga dengan cara melakukan inovasi terhadap salah satu minuman menjadi sebuah minuman yang menarik dengan harga terjangkau yaitu “LUMUT CINCAU”. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, tanya jawab atau diskusi, dan pelatihan. Pelaksanaan PKM di laksanakan di Kelurahan Malengkeri, Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan yaitu (1) Pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan minuman “LUMUT CINCAU” direspon dengan baik oleh peserta; (2) Minat dan motivasi yang tinggi dari peserta pelatihan sangat menunjang transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan dari pengabdi kepada peserta pelatihan, sehingga materi pelatihan yang diberikan dapat terserap semua; dan (3) Produk pelatihan pembuatan minuman “LUMUT CINCAU” dapat dikonsumsi sehari-hari dan dapat dijadikan sebagai produk berwirausaha.

Abstract

Although good mastery of digital innovations can be highly advantageous in today's environment, as business models and industries are changing rapidly due to digital innovations, there are significant gaps in the literature on digital innovations. By defining terms and examining the particulars of this new field of study, we add to the body of literature. The impact of digital innovation on marketing, value chain, and business models is then covered, with particular attention paid to conflicts and marketing difficulties, value chain dynamics, and business model evolutions. We offer recommendations for more research in our conclusion.

Abstract

This study shows that manufacturing unit process dispersion serves as an operational-level variable that allows businesses to modify their information protection strategy when it comes to sourcing business services overseas to suit the regulatory framework of the chosen host nation as well as the potential for using internal controls over activities carried out overseas. Our hypothesis is that businesses are more inclined to split up their processes among several foreign production facilities rather of concentrating every procedure duties in one unit when the aforementioned mechanisms are unavailable. Businesses may take advantage of the synergies between the scattered pieces of a process while lowering the risk of individual fragment theft because of IT-enabled integration capabilities. Robustness tests and empirical findings closely align with these theories. Additionally, we discover that the likelihood of using the defense mechanism against process fragmentation increases with the firm's expertise in the host nation as well as the alternative worth of the activity's unique knowledge that is outsourced.
