Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat desa binaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara dengan judul Pendampingan dan Penyuluhan Hukum Masyarakat Desa Jaring Halus Untuk Mewujudkan Desa Sadar Hukum di lakukan di Balai Desa Jaring Halus Kecamatan secanggang Kabupaten Langkat Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan ini melibatkan masyarakat nelayan dan pelaku usaha sebagai peserta dan para dosen Fakultas Hukum, Dosen Fakultas Teknik dan Dosen Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara sebagai pemateri. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui ceramah, diskusi interaktif dan pendampingan konsultasi masyarakat terkait persoalan hukum, teknik dan sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang persoalan hukum usaha perikanan, pendaftaran merek, label halal, isbad nikah dan bidang teknologi perikanan. Masyarakat terdampingi dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

This research examines the Naqsyabandiyah Babul Karomah Tarekat religious movement in Bandar Durian Village, North Labuhan Batu. This congregation is a form of Sufism practice which plays an important role in shaping the socio-religious behavior of local communities. The research method used is qualitative with observation, interview and documentation techniques. The focus of this study includes core teachings, such as dhikr, tawajjuh, and robithoh, as well as the dynamics of tarekat organizations in the region. The research results show that the practice of this congregation has a positive impact on the social and religious behavior of the congregation, creates personal and collective piety, and improves friendship and spiritual quality. In addition, this tarekat shows the ability to adapt in facing modernization, even though it faces challenges in maintaining its followers in the era of globalization. This research makes an important contribution to understanding the role of congregations in modern society, especially in efforts to preserve religious traditions amidst social change.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan hukum terhadap kebebasan beragama bagi masyarakat minoritas di Indonesia dan Thailand Selatan masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang kompleks. Meskipun kedua negara memiliki landasan hukum yang menjamin kebebasan beragama, implementasinya sering kali tidak efektif, terutama bagi kelompok minoritas yang menghadapi diskriminasi sistematis dan hambatan struktural.Di Indonesia, meskipun UUD 1945 dan berbagai peraturan lainnya menjamin kebebasan beragama, regulasi sering digunakan untuk membatasi hak-hak minoritas. Hambatan ini diperburuk oleh lemahnya penegakan hukum, tekanan sosial dari kelompok mayoritas, serta kurangnya pendidikan multikultural yang menanamkan nilai toleransi. Hal ini mengakibatkan diskriminasi terhadap kelompok minoritas seperti Ahmadiyah, Syiah, dan Kristen.Di Thailand Selatan, masyarakat Melayu-Muslim menghadapi tantangan yang berbeda, yaitu diskriminasi struktural, kebijakan represif yang bersifat militeristik, dan minimnya representasi politik. Kebijakan pemerintah pusat yang lebih berfokus pada stabilitas keamanan dibandingkan perlindungan hak asasi manusia telah memperburuk situasi kebebasan beragama di wilayah tersebut.Efektivitas perlindungan hukum di kedua negara sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan pemerintah untuk menciptakan regulasi yang inklusif, memperkuat penegakan hukum yang netral, dan mengatasi tekanan dari kelompok mayoritas atau kelompok dominan. Selain itu, upaya untuk meningkatkan pendidikan multikultural dan memperkuat representasi politik masyarakat minoritas merupakan langkah penting untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih inklusif dan harmonis.

Abstract

The proclamation of the Islamic State of Indonesia (Negara Islam Indonesia, NII) by Sekarmadji Maridjan Kartosoewiryo marked a pivotal moment in Indonesia’s political and religious landscape. This study delves into the historical development of NII, the ideological underpinnings of Kartosoewiryo’s movement, and the contemporary political ramifications of his legacy. It investigates the extent to which Kartosoewiryo’s vision continues to resonate within modern Islamist movements in Indonesia and how the historical narrative of NII has been reinterpreted in contemporary political discourse. Employing a historical-political analysis, this study draws upon primary and secondary sources, including archival records, academic studies, and contemporary reports. The findings reveal that although Kartosoewiryo’s aspiration for an Islamic state was ultimately dismantled, his ideological influence persists through various Islamist movements, shaping ongoing debates on Islam and governance in Indonesia. This study contends that Kartosoewiryo’s legacy is not merely a historical artifact but remains an active site of ideological contestation in Indonesia’s contemporary political arena. Understanding this legacy offers crucial insights into the evolution of political Islam in Indonesia and the persistent complexities surrounding the relationship between religion and the state.

Abstract

Sanksi perzinahan sebenarnya telah diatur dalam hukum adat. Sanksi ini telah dikenal dan ditegakkan oleh masyarakat adat setempat sejak lama. Mereka membuat aturan berdasarkan tradisi nenek moyang mereka untuk menyikapi perzinahan atau pelecehan seksual. Namun, penerapan sanksi adat bagi pelaku pelecehan seksual di masyarakat Melayu Jambi kurang tegas. Bahkan hingga saat ini, pelaku pelecehan masih berkeliaran dengan bebas tanpa hukuman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami pengaturan hukum bagi pelaku pelecehan seksual menurut hukum adat Melayu Jambi, memahami pemidanaan terhadap pelaku menggunakan hukum adat Melayu Jambi, dan untuk mengetahui hambatan dan solusi dalam pemidanaan terhadap pelaku pelecehan seksual menggunakan hukum adat Melayu Jambi. Manfaat teoritis dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang hukum, khususnya hukum adat, dan menjadi bahan masukan bagi penelitian sejenis. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif-empiris. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa menurut hukum adat Melayu Jambi, individu yang melakukan perzinahan akan dikenakan denda adat yang dikenal dengan istilah cuci kampung. Hukum adat harus terus dikembangkan sebagai warisan nenek moyang dan sebagai ciri khas bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Digitalisasi merupakan metode penting dalam pelestarian dan penyelamatan informasi, khususnya Naskah kuno. Penelitian ini menganalisis penerapan digitalisasi di Museum Sejarah Al-Qur'an Sumatra Utara sebagai upaya untuk melindungi naskah kuno melalui konservasi sederhana dan digitalisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperluas akses informasi kepada masyarakat dan mengurangi risiko kerusakan fisik. metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebelum melakukan kegiatan digitalisasi, museum melakukan konservasi sederhana pada naskah. Digitalisasi dilakukan dengan dua cara: pertama, menggunakan alat komputer dan scan. namun menghadapi kendala dengan ukuran file yang terlalu besar sehingga penurunan kualitas setelah kompresi menjadi buruk. Kedua, menggunakan handphone dan laptop dengan aplikasi CamScanner, yang menghasilkan file berkualitas baik dan lebih mudah diproses. Digitalisasi tidak hanya melindungi naskah tetapi juga meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan keterlibatan pengunjung melalui barcode QR, memungkinkan akses digital tanpa risiko kerusakan fisik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the relationship between K-Pop culture and changes in social behavior in students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Studies, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The results showed that K-Pop Culture can cause behavioral changes in students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Studies, namely: K-Pop is an inspiration and motivation for fans in the fashion world.By studying K-Pop Culture, fans (kpopers) know their selfimage and love themselves more. Furthermore, changes in terms of interaction, with the friendship between fans they have many friends from various regions or from outside countries.They can also socialize well. Fans are more independent, creative and innovative, such as learning Korean, opening an online shop by selling K-Pop things such as clothes, cosmetics, and others. The impact of K-Pop culture on consumerism varies, some fans buy goods related to their idols, everyone does not have the same opportunity to enjoy K-Pop goods. It did not cause a change in social strata because students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Stdusi were still able to balance between the needs and desires for goods related to K-Pop culture.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the transformation of the Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru Islamic boarding school. The research used is a historical research method through heuristic stages of collecting historical sources by means of interviews and archives in the form of Islamic boarding school founding deeds, verification (criticism of data), interpretation and historiography. In this research, the author uses a historical approach. As for the theory, the author uses Aguste Comte's social theory. The aim of this research is to find out the history of the establishment of the Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru Islamic Boarding School, South Labuhanbatu Regency in 1992-2021 and the development of the Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru Islamic Boarding School in 1992-2021. The results of this research concluded that the New Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Islamic Boarding School was founded in 1992 by Sheikh Abdullah Efendi. Before the establishment of the Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru Islamic Boarding School, it was only a religious pilgrimage and study carried out for the people of Sosopan village and its surroundings. The Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru Islamic Boarding School has developed from various aspects which include the development of facilities and infrastructure, the development of students, the development of work programs. Developments in terms of prayer rooms used for student activities. The development of santri students, which was initially only dozens of santri, has now reached a thousand santri. Dar Al-Maarif Islamic Boarding School has progressed in its development due to several factors that influence it, namely the role of the founder of the Islamic boarding school, family, support from the surrounding community and the infrastructure it has. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the behavior of the students, management cadre formation, and the Islamic boarding school's financial resources.

Abstract

This research is entitled “Representation of "Ghibah" in the TILIK Film (Short Movie 2018)". The purpose of this study was to find out how the representation of backbiting in the TILIK film (Short Movie 2018). The theory used in this research is Representation Theory. The object of this research is the film TILIK. This study uses a two-stage Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method in which researchers can better understand the meaning of denotation, the connotation obtained in the TILIK film, with visuals as a representation of the dialogue which is the marker in this study. The researcher explained the data analysis with visual as a signifier and audio as a marker then explained the meaning of denotation and connotation. The results of this study describe the social reality that often occurs and is carried out by the community, namely backbiting other people or "backbiting".

Abstract

As many cases of suicide are caused by depression, researchers are interested in researching what causes depression in a person. This study aims to determine how depression is represented in the short film “The Sign” by Nicky K through John Fiske's semiotic analysis. This film depicts how a child goes through his bad days without anyone caring about the inner pressure he receives. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The author chose this study because of the lack of public attention related to depression cases around him. The author wants to know how depression is portrayed in this film, through behavior, traits that make it a depressive disorder. Researchers want readers to be more sensitive to cases like this. Therefore, the writer is interested in the title of this research. The results of this study indicate that there is a representation of depression in this short film which is seen from the three levels proposed by John Fiske. There are three levels, namely the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology
