Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment rubric and produce a metacognitive skill model through the Blended Learning Management System (BLEMS) in project-based learning in vocational education. This study uses the Research and Development (RD) model of Borg and Gall (1983). The research subjects consisted of two experts (validity), ten students (small group), and 35 students (expanded) from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaires and tests: developed assessment instruments and rubrics with three main aspects, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. Conducted assessment tests through self, peer, and teacher assessments. Then analyzed the results of the Assessments with descriptive statistics. The results showed that the Rubric and metacognitive assessment model through BLEMS for vocational education met the validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The integration of metacognitive skill elements: planning, monitoring, and evaluation with self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher assessment can be an assessment method to measure students' metacognitive thinking skills in project-based learning in vocational education.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of sintering temperature on the synthesis of SiC produced from rice husk ash (RHA) and 2B graphite pencils. The SiC was synthesized by using solid state reaction method sintered at temperatures of 750°C, 1000°C and 1200°C for 26 hours, 11.5 hours and 11.5 hours, respectively. The quantity and crystallinity level of SiC phase were measured by means of Rigaku MiniFlexII X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The microstructure of SiC was examined by using Tescan Vega3SB Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD results showed that the concentration (wt%) of SiC phase increases with the increasing of sintering temperature. SEM results showed that the crystallinity level of SiC crystal is improving as the sintering temperature increases

Abstract

Online learning assessment and evaluation has been widely used using the Learning Management system (LMS). However, the form of the questions is still based on multiple choice. Evaluation and form of questions in LMS need to be developed by exploring metacognitive thinking. The LMS plugin supports Essay-based questions and assessments, it's just that this plugin needs to be supported with file submissions and metacognitive assessment rubrics. Therefore, this research aims to customize and test the usability of Auto Essay File Grading (AEG) metacognitive assessment based on LMS. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach conducted at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, with lecturers and students as respondents. Data were collected through the USE questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis of AEG usability testing from the point of view of lecturers and students who have the highest average are a usefulness. For the lowest average of the lecturers is the ease of use and from the student, the side is the ease of learning. These results also prove that the AEG application/plugin needs improvement in terms of ease and practicality of use so that users learn how to use it faster. Recommendations for ease of use and learning are discussed and explained further, along with the improved display, answer keywords, and minimizing irrelevant menus.

Abstract

Abstract. Community Partnership Program (PKM) has been conducted with the aim of 1) designing physics science learning with experimental methods accompanied by LKPD, 2) designing the use of Student Worksheets (LKPD) in physics science learning, 3) analyzing the responses of Physics Science Teachers in the implementation of PKM Activities. several methods were used to achieve the goal; 1) lecturing method, 2) training method, 3) experimentation method, 4) assigning tasks method, 5) discussion method, 6) problem solving method. The results obtained from this PKM activity are; 1) Physical Science Learning Plan with experimental method accompanied by Student Worksheet (LKPD), 2) Use of Learner Worksheet (LKPD) where 93.93%, participants agree to design, 90.90% of participants agree to conduct experiments and compose, 75.76% of participants will disseminate activities for other subjects, 81.82% of participants will assign tasks to Students by conducting observations, 98.92% of participants will make PKM a regular MGMP activity every year, 93.93% of Teachers are able to carry out what is obtained in the Training , 3) The Responses of Physics Science Teachers in the Implementation of PKM Activities, 98.92% said the activities in accordance with the expectations and objectives of teachers participating in PKM activities, 45.45% said, Learning Science Physics with the method of experimentation accompanied (LKPD) takes longer in the preparation, 60.61% were able to design Physics Science Learning with experimental methods accompanied by Student Worksheet (LKPD) with a combination of KIT IPA, 98.92% said that Learning Science Physics with experimental methods accompanied by Student Worksheet (LKPD) as a learning resource requires special training and skills.

Abstract

Extracurricular activities aim to enable students to develop their personality, talents, and abilities in various fieldsoutside the academic field, one of which is the field of appropriate technology. Based on the data obtained, there are 5 State HighSchools and 3 State Vocational Schools in Parepare City, Sulawesi Selatan and from the results of observations note that onlyone of these schools still facilitates students interested in the field of electronic-based appropriate technology. SMAN 1 Parepareis one of the model schools that cannot carry out this activity due to the unavailability of supporting resources in the field. Thesolution provided through the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities is basic training in the design ofmicrocontroller-based appropriate technology. The method of implementing this PKM activity is a training method which isdivided into three stages, namely theoretical training, training on the use of Arduino IDE platform software and training ondesigning appropriate technology based on Arduino microcontrollers. The result of this PKM activity was to increase themotivation of SMAN 1 Parepare students in terms of students' interests, talents, and abilities in the form of simple, appropriatetechnology designs such as miniature automatic sensor-based control systems and Arduino microcontrollers.

Abstract

Kajian distribusi waktu efektif lepas landas di bandara internasional sultan hasanuddin makassar dilakukan dengan tujuan; 1) menganalisisis rata-rata gaya angkat pesawat boeing B737 MG dan pesawat airbus A320 2) menganalisis korelasi tekanan, temperatur, titik embun terhadap gaya angkat pesawat boeing B737 MG dan pesawat airbus A320 3) menganalisis kecenderungan perubahan tekanan, temperatur dan titik embun terhadap gaya angkat pesawat boeing B737 MG dan pesawat airbus A320 4) menganalisis pengaruh temperatur terhadap waktu efektif lepas landas bagi pesawat boeing B737 MG dan pesawat airbus A320. Data yang digunakan adalah data metar tahun 2016-2020 yang memuat informasi waktu, tekanan, temperatur dan titik embun. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan; 1) Rata-rata gaya angkat mengalami penurunan setelah bulan Juli dan meningkat pada bulan Desember. 2) Korelasi antara temperatur udara dan gaya angkat berada pada rentang (-0.60) – (-1.00). Korelasi antara tekanan udara dan gaya angkat berada pada rentang 0.00-0.399. Korelasi antara titik embun dan gaya angkat berada pada rentang -0.599 – 0.399. 3) Kecenderungan perubahan temperatur dengan gaya angkat menunjukkan hubungan yang berbanding terbalik sedangkan kecenderungan perubahan tekanan dan titik embun terhadap gaya angkat menunjukkan hubungan yang tidak langsung. 4) Peningkatan temperatur membutuhkan gaya angkat yang lebih kecil demikian pula sebaliknya

Abstract

Development of Web-based Self-Learning Media for Physics Science Learning of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Barebbo Regency of Bone. This research was a development research (Research and Development) to develop web-based self-learning media that aims to (1) determine the validity, effectiveness and practicality of the web-based self-learning media, and (2) determine the response of students toward the web-based self-learning media. The research was conducted at SMPN 2 Barebbo Class VII second semester of school year 2015-2016 consist of 32 students. The complement of the learning tools that also develop were lesson plans, students’ worksheet, students’ textbook, and result of learning test. The research instruments used were students’ activities sheet, students’ perceptions sheet, practitioner/teacher perception, implementation of learning tool evaluation, and the ability of teachers’ learning management observation sheet. The result of this study show that (1) generally all of the component of web-based learning media (prototype I), from learning tool to the instrument used was declared valid by experts and practitioners, (2) generally the result of limited testing of prototype II has met the criteria of practicality. The result of observation toward the implementation of the developed learning tools during the trial, averagely was of 1.85 (totally implemented) with R = 1.00 (reliable), (3) the results of limited testing of prototype II generally had met the effectiveness criteria. The results of observations during the class by using the developed web-based learning media were; (a) activities of learners were observed to be at a very active category which was of 89.70% averagely, (b) students’ perceptions were in the very positive category which was of 87.50%, (c) practitioners/teachers’ perceptions to the media learning was very positive which was of 90.13% averagely, (d) the ability of teachers to manage the learning was in the excellent category, i.e. M = 3.62 (very good) with R = 0.95 (reliable) and (e) students’ results of test achieved 75.31 averagely. The highest score was 93 and the lowest score was 63. Classical mastery learning of students reaches 87.50%. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yaitu Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Mandiri Berbasis Web dengan tujuan; (1) Untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan media pembelajaran mandiri berbasis web, (2) Untuk mengetahui tanggapan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran mandiri berbasis web. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada SMPN 2 Barebbo Kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2015-2016 semester genap sebanyak 32 orang. Perangkat pembelajaran yang melengkapi media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Buku ajar Peserta Didik dan Tes Hasil Belajar sedangkan Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar aktivitas peserta didik, persepsi peserta didik, persepsi praktisi/guru, keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran, dan lembar observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran. Hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran mandiri berbasis web menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara umum keseluruhan komponen media pembelajaran berbasis web (prototipe I), mulai dari perangkat sampai dengan instrumen yang digunakan dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli dan praktisi, (2) secara umum hasil uji coba terbatas prototipe II telah memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan. Hasil pengamatan terhadap keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran selama ujicoba, rata-rata hasil pengamatan = 1,85 (terlaksana seluruhnya) dengan R = 1,00 (reliabel), (3) secara umum hasil uji coba terbatas prototipe II telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan. Hasil pengamatan selama pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis web adalah; (a) Aktivitas peserta didik yang diamati berada pada kategori sangat aktif yaitu rata-rata sebesar 89,70%, (b) Persepsi peserta didik berada pada kategori sangat positif yaitu sebesar 87,50%, (c) Persepsi praktisi/guru terhadap media pembelajaran sangat positif yaitu rata-rata sebesar 90,13%, (d) Kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran berada dalam kategori sangat baik yaitu M = 3,62 (sangat baik) dengan R= 0,95 (reliabel) dan (e) Hasil tes belajar peserta didik mencapai rata-rata 75,31. Skor tertinggi 93 dan skor terendah adalah 63. Ketuntasan belajar peserta didik secara klasikal mencapai 87,50%. Kata Kunci: jaringan, media pembelajaran mandiri, online

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to: describe the feasibility of STEM-based Physics Student worksheets, practitioners' assessment of STEM-based Student Worksheets, the effectiveness of STEM-based Student Worksheets in physics learning, and produce STEM-based Student Worksheets. The subjects of this research trial were 29 students of class XI MIPA at SMAN 15 Luwu. This study uses the ADDIE model development. The instruments used in this study were LKPD validation sheets, practitioner (teacher) response questionnaires, as well as test instruments for understanding creative thinking skills. The eligibility criteria for student worksheets are seen from the aspect of validity. The practicality criteria are seen from the practitioner's assessment of the student worksheets, and the effectiveness criteria are seen from the increase in students' creative thinking skills test results. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the STEM-based Physics Student Worksheets developed, based on expert assessments, have met valid criteria so that they can be used as learning resources. STEM-based Physics Student Worksheets in terms of the response of physics teacher practitioners are in the very good category and the STEM-based Physics Student Worksheets The work of STEM-based physics students is effectively used to train students' creative thinking skills

Abstract

Sintesis karbon aktif dari limbah tongkol jagung dilakukan untuk memanfaatkan limbah biomassa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mensintesis dan mengkarakterisasi karbon aktif dari limbah tongkol jagung. Tahapan pembuatan karbon aktif dimulai dengan preparasi sampel yaitu pembersihan, pencucian, dan pengeringan. Tongkol jagung kemudian dikarbonasi pada suhu 400oC selama satu jam untuk menghasilkan karbon. Tahap selanjutnya aktivasi menggunakan NaOH dan HCl dengan variasi konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Karakterisasi karbon aktif menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) dan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Hasil karakterisasi SEM menunjukkan bahwa karbon aktif yang diperoleh memiliki struktur permukaan yang tidak teratur dengan ukuran dan bentuk pori terbuka yang berbeda. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa karbon aktif yang diperoleh memiliki struktur amorf. Hasil penentuan kadar air dan kadar abu karbon aktif yang diperoleh adalah 2,97% dan 3,92%. Nilai kadar air dan kadar abu karbon aktif dari tongkol jagung ini telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 06-3730-1995)

Abstract

Purpose of this research to determine the effect of mass of source on thickness of thin film, with using the vacuum thermal evaporation. The metal used is Ag with a purity of 99,99% as a source of evaporated metal and using glass preparations as a substrate on which metal is deposited. By using three types of characterization such as FPP, SEM and EDS, the research results were obtained accurately. Based on  these characterizations, the results obtained a significant relationship between mass of source and thickness of thin film, increasing the mass of the source will increase the thickness of thin film. This result can be used as a reference in producing thin films with specific of thickness.
