Abstract

This research investigates the factors of students' self-regulated learning (SRL) skills in online learning environments from the demographic perspectives of gender and major. The study employs a survey design and involves 103 students selected through simple random sampling. Data collection uses the SOL-Q questionnaire and observation. The collected data is analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. The research results indicate that among the five components of SRL, the environmental structure obtained a high score, meaning that environmental structure contributes significantly to SRL in online learning for physics and non-physics majors. Meanwhile, time management received a low score, indicating that time management contributes less to SRL. There is no significant difference in each component of SRL based on gender and major. Furthermore, there is no significant effect of gender and major on the level of SRL

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the distribution of chlorophyll-a in the waters of Bone Bay during high wave events based on the parameters of sea surface temperature, wind speed and ocean currents. The aim of this research is to analyze parameters related to high waves which influence chlorophyll-a concentrations in the waters of Bone Bay. Chlorophyll-a patterns in Bone Bay waters were studied based on Aqua MODIS satellite data for chlorophyll-a data and ECMWF for wind speed, sea surface temperature and ocean current data. The average value was determined using Aqua MODIS and ECMWF satellite data for 10 years from 2011 to 2020. These parameters were analyzed to determine the correlation with chlorophyll-a. The calculation results show that sea surface temperature and wind speed decreased after high waves, while ocean currents and chlorophyll-a increased after high waves in Bone Bay waters. The correlation between chlorophyll-a and wind speed is 0.15, with sea surface temperature -0.44, and with ocean currents -0.26. Spatially, high concentrations of chlorophyll-a are found in the coastal waters of the South Sulawesi region with chlorophyll-a concentrations reaching 0.4-5 mg/m3. Temporally, high chlorophyll-a concentrations occur after high wave events with an average chlorophyll-a concentration of 0.32 mg/m3.

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the characteristics and performance of the air stability index threshold values ??for Cumulonimbus (CB) and Thunderstorm (TS) cloud events. This research compares the results with previous data at the Hasanuddin Meteorological Station. The analysis was carried out using Showalter Index (SI), K Index (KI), Total-Totals (TT), and Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE) data from 2013 to 2022 with the Sturges method to determine class intervals and frequency of occurrence. Then, the performance of the threshold value was tested with 2023 data using the 2x2 contingency table verification method. The analysis results show that the threshold values ??for the air stability index, especially SI, KI, TT, and CAPE, have changed compared to previous guidelines or research. These changes are mainly in the lower threshold values, with new values ??? (-5), ? (13), ? (32), and ? (1), respectively. This shows that the frequency of CB and TS events is still influenced by this threshold value, especially at the lower limit during cloud formation. However, performance analysis in 2023 does not yet show clear significance. In general, the sensitivity of the index in predicting short-term weather is better during the day than at night, showing consistency with previous studies.

Abstract

Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) are nanostructured materials that offer mechanical, electrical, and thermal advantages, making them attractive for various technological applications. In this study, CNTs were synthesized using the Hot Wire Cell-Very High Frequency-Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (HWC-VHF-PECVD) with hotwire temperature variation (225 °C, 275 °C, and 325 °C) as the main variable. Characterization of CNTs was conducted through Raman spectroscopy to evaluate the effect of hotwire temperature variation on the structure and quality of CNTs. The Raman test identified a characteristic RBM (Radial Breathing Mode) band around 100-300 cm⁻¹, a D-band around 1350 cm⁻¹ associated with structural defects, a G-band around 1580 cm⁻¹ indicating sp² carbon bonds, and a 2D-band around 2650-2700 cm⁻¹ associated with the graphitic layer stack. The quantitative analysis of Raman spectra showed ID/IG ratios of 0.94, 0.76, and 0.86 for CNTs synthesized at 225°C, 275°C, and 325°C, respectively, confirming that CNTs grown at 275°C exhibit the lowest structural disorder and highest graphitic crystallinity. The results show that the intensity of the G-band at 275°C hotwire temperature is higher than that at 225°C and 325°C, indicating better CNTs quality at this temperature. In addition, the Raman shift in the RBM-band for 275°Chotwire temperature is higher compared to 225°C and 325°C, indicating a variation in the diameter of the synthesized CNTs. This characterization reveals that the control of hotwire temperature greatly affects the structure and quality of CNTs, which is important for the optimization of the synthesis process and its application in the future.
