Background of the study: The need for information in the era of globalization is rapidly growing, causing users to strategize to obtain information effectively. One of the strategies used in information retrieval is generative AI applications. Purpose: This study aims to discuss generative AI applications used in information retrieval and the impact of generative AI usage on information-seeking behavior. Methods: Library research is used to collect data from various relevant literature sources. Finding: The use of generative AI in information retrieval provides positive impacts, such as speeding up the search process and presenting concise and easily understood information. However, the use of generative AI also has negative effects, such as inaccurate data and potential dependence on technology. Conclusion: Although generative AI provides convenience in information retrieval, there are negative risks, such as data inaccuracy and overdependence on technology. Therefore, regulations and oversight are needed to prevent these negative impacts ABSTRAK --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analisis Dampak Artificial Intelligence terhadap Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Latar Belakang: Kebutuhan informasi di era globalisasi semakin berkembang pesat, yang menyebabkan para pengguna informasi harus mengatur strategi untuk mendapatkan informasi secara efektif. Salah satu strategi yang digunakan adalah dengan memanfaatkan AI generatif. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas aplikasi-aplikasi AI Generatif yang digunakan dalam pencarian informasi serta dampak dari penggunaan AI generatif terhadap perilaku informasi. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research dengan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Temuan: Penggunaan AI generatif dalam pencarian informasi memberi dampak positif, seperti mempercepat proses pencarian dan menyajikan informasi yang ringkas dan mudah dipahami. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan AI generatif juga menimbulkan dampak negatif, yaitu data yang kurang akurat dan potensi ketergantungan pada teknologi. Kesimpulan: Meskipun AI generatif memberikan kemudahan dalam pencarian informasi, terdapat resiko negatif seperti ketidakakuratan data dan ketergantungan berlebihan pada teknologi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aturan dan pengawasan untuk mencegah dampak negatif tersebut.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses transliterasi, pembuatan katalog deskriptif, kesesuaian transliterasi, dan kendala yang dihadapi Perpustakaan FIB UGM dalam pengelolaan bahan perpustakaan berbahasa Korea. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah pustakawan yang mengelola bahan perpustakaan berbahasa Korea, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah 15 buku yang terbit sebelum tahun 1990. Proses transliterasi aksara Korea 'Hangeul' ke Latin menggunakan Sistem Revised Romanization of Korea (RRK), termasuk aturan Batchim. Pembuatan katalog deskriptif untuk bahan perpustakaan berbahasa Korea mengikuti prosedur yang sama seperti bahan lainnya, dengan tambahan langkah awal berupa transliterasi. Dari 15 buku yang diteliti, 14 buku berhasil ditemukan dalam OPAC, sementara 1 buku tidak dapat ditemukan. Kendala yang dihadapi perpustakaan meliputi keanekaragaman sistem transliterasi Korea-Latin, kurangnya keterampilan pustakawan dalam transliterasi, dan ketidakkonsistenan pemahaman di antara mahasiswa magang. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah pelatihan membaca dan menulis huruf Korea untuk pustakawan, penggunaan web konverter untuk transliterasi, serta pembuatan catatan tertulis sebagai panduan yang seragam bagi mahasiswa magang. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan bagi staf dan pustakawan dalam keterampilan baca-tulis huruf Korea untuk mendukung proses transliterasi dan pembuatan katalog deskriptif. Diharapkan perpustakaan lain yang memiliki bahan perpustakaan berbahasa Korea dapat menerapkan metode serupa dan meningkatkan kompetensi pustakawan dalam bahasa asing.

Introduction. Library services during the Covid-19 pandemic have decreased even to the point that services are completely closed. This happens because the virus is easily spread through the air, causing limited community activities outside the home. To overcome this problem, the library provides service innovations that can be used during a pandemic, namely drive thru services. The purpose of this study is to describe the existence of libraries in the new normal era so that many libraries adopt drive thru services.Methodology. The method used in this research is a library research method with a qualitative approach. Library research technique is a technique that takes data sources in the form of books as the object of study.Results and discussion. This drive-thru service adopts fast food franchise services. This service became an innovation and alternative service when the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia. To maintain the existence of the library finally, innovate to provide this service. This service is considered effective because of the lack of direct physical contact with other people in addition to reducing the crowding and spread of the covid-19 virus.Conclusion. Currently, the pandemic has begun to recede. But that doesn't detract from drive thru service. In this new normal era, drive thru services should increasingly exist and improve this drive thru service to provide better and better service.

This study aims to analyze the Jamila service innovation (Guarantee of Excellent Service Delivering Reliable Books to Users) implemented in the Yogyakarta City Library. Jamila service is a form of book delivery service based on "delivery service" designed to make it easier for users to access library materials without having to come directly to the library. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that service innovation includes expanding user requirements, such as access for users domiciled outside Yogyakarta with a meeting location arrangement (COD), as well as updating procedures involving the use of technology such as OPAC and WhatsApp for service efficiency. The obstacles found include inaccuracy of delivery location points and weather obstacles, which affect service effectiveness. However, the library has overcome most of the previous obstacles, such as transportation and promotion, through the use of official vehicles and social media. This study concludes that Jamila service innovation has succeeded in increasing the accessibility of library services, providing convenience for users, and can be a model of service innovation for other libraries in Indonesia.

Librarian work motivation is very important to improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the work motivation of librarians at the Bank Indonesia Solo Library using Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. This research is a field research, which uses data collection techniques in the form of documentation and interviews. The informants of this research are librarians of Bank Indonesia Solo Branch. Data analysis uses Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. The results showed that librarians' work motivation is influenced by the fulfillment of basic needs, namely adequate salaries; security needs, namely a comfortable work environment; social needs, namely the LENTERA (Learning Literacy on Friday) program, news summaries, and e-cliping; appreciation needs, namely the Bank Indonesia Library Librarian Communication Forum event which gives awards to the most active librarians and accredited libraries; and self-actualization needs, namely online seminars from the National Library and Bank Indonesia Headquarters, and the “Limas Nusantara” program which contains daily library programs. Penelitian ini membahas strategi promosi media sosial yang digunakan oleh Perpustakaan Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU) dalam menarik minat kunjung pemustaka. Perpustakaan UNU Yogyakarta beralih ke gedung baru pada November 2023, yang menandai perlunya strategi promosi yang efektif untuk menarik perhatian pemustaka. Dengan memanfaatkan media sosial, terutama Instagram, Facebook, dan platform lainnya, perpustakaan berupaya memberikan informasi tentang koleksi dan layanan yang dimilikinya. Melalui wawancara dan observasi pada Desember 2023, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa perpustakaan melakukan upaya promosi yang konsisten dengan menghasilkan dua konten per minggu. Konten tersebut berfokus pada video pendek dan gambar, mencakup tutorial penggunaan layanan, peristiwa-peristiwa tertentu, dan informasi umum. Meskipun hanya memiliki tiga pustakawan, perpustakaan mencapai peningkatan pengikut, viewer, dan kunjungan pemustaka. Strategi ini membuktikan keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan interaksi dan partisipasi pemustaka melalui media sosial, sekaligus memberikan gambaran positif tentang perpustakaan sebagai tempat yang ramah dan berdaya saing.

This study aims to analyze the harmonization of Islamic values and the local wisdom of the Banjar community in South Kalimantan, particularly from the perspective of the Qur'an. The research focuses on the work of Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari in the book Sabil al-Muhtadin, which serves as a primary reference in resolving tensions between Islamic law and local traditions. The method employed is a literature review with heuristic and hermeneutic approaches to interpret the texts in the book. The results indicate that Sheikh Arsyad successfully integrated local wisdom, such as the use of jamban, burial with tabala, as well as zakat laws and halal food, into the framework of Islamic law with contextual considerations. These findings affirm that Sheikh Arsyad's moderate and adaptive approach not only preserved the authenticity of Islamic teachings but also respected local culture. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the dynamics of interaction between Islam and local wisdom, as well as its relevance to contemporary Muslim societies.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study, an analysis of the humanistic psychology of bibliomania behavior experienced by students of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library Science. The condition where a person has an obsessive-compulsive form of excessive desire to collect books continuously. The goal of the research is to know someone's psychological desire to buy a book and feel relieved in collecting books even though not read. the main motivation in gathering lots of books is just to add to his own insight but when someone has a love and passion for reading books, then all desires related to books will be an extraordinary intellectual adventure. So it is not surprising when a person can be infected with biblicism if he has an excessive desire to buy, read, save, and enjoy books. It's better to love books and buy books naturally, if there is still a large collection of books stored and unread, then hold to buy more books. after reading a book it would be nice to give a review or some kind of ability to write from the results of reading a book. From this creative attitude, we can develop the skills and potential we have to build a civilized nation.

The phenomenon of information overload in the digital era places librarians as information facilitators who must have superior social skills.This research aims to explore the role of librarians' social skills in facing the information society and the challenges that come with it. Social skills such as interpersonal communication, empathy, cooperation, and emotional management are important foundations for creating responsive library services. The research method uses a literature approach by analyzing related literature. The results showed that librarians are not only information providers but also as agents of change. Agent of change that supports information literacy and the wise use of information. In facing the challenges of information overload, librarians must identify community’s information needs, utilize digital technology, and develop the community’s information needs, utilize digital technology, and develop relevant innovative programs. In addition, the development of social skills such as empathy, lobbying, and negotiation skills is needed to build good relationships with the community and stakeholders. This research confirms the importance of librarians' social skills as a core element in library services. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for library institutions to design more effective social skills training.

This research discusses the implementation of censorship management at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta Library as a strategy to control the procurement of collections that are not in accordance with academic needs and institutional values. Censorship is important because the library not only functions as an information provider, but also as a guardian of the quality and safety of content for users. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of applying censorship to library collections, as well as identify the obstacles faced by librarians in its implementation. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study were the censorship team consisting of the head of the library, librarians in the procurement section, and collection processing. The results showed that censorship activities have been implemented since the inception of the library and are carried out periodically every time there is a new collection procurement plan. The approach used refers to the McColvin model which combines the librarian's professional point of view and user needs. Some of the obstacles encountered include budget constraints, the high cost of foreign collections, and proposals for banned collections. Selective and structured censorship management is needed to maintain collection quality and support academic goals
