Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami manajemen konflik dalam konteks layanan perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian Library Research yang termasuk dalam kategori kualitatif, memungkinkan pengumpulan data melalui penelusuran karya tulis yang relevan. Penelitian ini menerapkan teori Ross tentang manajemen konflik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan merupakan lingkungan kompleks yang melibatkan berbagai faktor potensial konflik, termasuk sumber daya manusia, tugas, pembuat keputusan, hak dan wewenang, serta komunikasi dalam pelayanan informasi. Contoh konflik yang dapat terjadi meliputi ketidakpuasan pemustaka, ketidaksesuaian antara koleksi fisik dan katalog online, hingga tindakan vandalisme atau pelanggaran di perpustakaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dengan memahami dan menerapkan langkah-langkah manajemen konflik seperti problem solving, superordinate goals, dan third-party mediation, perpustakaan dapat mengurangi konflik dan mencegah dampak negatifnya. Dengan demikian, manajemen konflik memiliki peran krusial dalam menjaga keseimbangan dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan di tengah kompleksitas yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami strategi pustakawan dalam memanfaatkan Instagram sebagai medium komunikasi dan mengidentifikasi hambatan yang ada di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif digunakan, sumber data meliputi data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sementara teknik analisis data mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan menggunakan strategi komunikasi melalui Instagram @perpusuinyogyakarta dengan melakukan promosi perpustakaan dengan memposting pada Instafeed dan Reels (IGTV), membuat stories, menandai teman atau lembaga, dan memberikan komentar terkait informasi layanan, koleksi, dan acara yang ada. Selain itu, ucapan selamat dan pesan sukses juga ditampilkan. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan adanya kendala, seperti kurangnya sumber daya manusia serta sarana dan prasarana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran empati dan mendengarkan aktif dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan informasi di perpustakaan. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kualitatif digunakan melalui studi pustaka atau library research. Sumber data primer dan sekunder dikumpulkan, yang meliputi buku-buku ilmu perpustakaan, pencarian informasi, dan artikel jurnal terkait empati dan mendengarkan aktif dalam layanan informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa empati dan mendengarkan aktif memiliki peran penting dalam memfasilitasi interaksi yang lebih baik antara pustakawan dan pemustaka, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan informasi. Analisis hasil temuan menunjukkan tiga dimensi utama model LibQual+TM, yaitu affect of service, information control, dan library as place, memiliki korelasi yang kuat dengan peningkatan kualitas layanan informasi. Dalam kesimpulan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan empati dan mendengarkan aktif oleh pustakawan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan informasi di perpustakaan. Studi ini juga menyarankan bahwa pengembangan keterampilan interpersonal, terutama empati dan mendengarkan aktif, harus menjadi prioritas dalam pelatihan profesional pustakawan.

Abstract

Pustakawan memiliki peranan penting untuk pengembangan perpustakaan terutama dalam hal memberikan layanan prima kepada pemustaka, maka pustakawan dituntut untuk memiliki kompetensi pustakawan yang profesional. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji kompetensi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan prima di Perpustakaan STIKES Tri Mandiriri Sakti Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, studi pustaka, dan triangulasi. Analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian kompetensi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan layanan prima di Perpustakaan STIKES Tri Mandiriri Sakti Bengkulu telah terealisasikan namun belum terpenuhi secara maksimal, diantaranya kompetensi manajemen, kompetensi pengembangan, kompetensi organisasi, kompetensi layanan informasi, dan kompetensi penelitian. Dengan demikian dibutuhkan peningkatan yang lebih bagi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kompetensi pustakawan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pemustaka.

Abstract

AbstractQuality information is what is needed in an already digital world. Skills in mastering important information literacy are mastered by a librarian. The Cahaya Ilmu Library located at SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah prioritizes comfort and convenience. The ease and comfort provided by the library cannot be separated from the attitude of the librarian, the attitude of this librarian can be judged by his professional competence in serving information services, based on the importance of the librarian's attitude in information services. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitude of librarians in the light library of science at SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah, in providing professional competence in information services. The method used is a qualitative research method. The result of this research is that SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah has a library called the Cahaya Ilmu library, this library has been accredited A, as a pilot school, of course, the quality of librarians must be competent to support student needs. This competency is divided into four main librarian professional attitude competencies, namely: Implementing information organization, Managing information sources, Managing information services and Using information equipment and technology, where these four components of Professional competence have been carried out by librarians in the Cahaya Ilmu library of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah.Keywords: Librarian's Attitude ; Information Services; Professional Competence.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the Pesantren’s response to the use of digital applications of classical books as open sources of education. Starting from the phenomenon of using al-maktabah sya> milah software in Pesantren Salaf (traditional Islamic boarding schools) where they have a scientific tradition of using printed Kitab Kuning (Islamic classical books) for quite a long time. The presence of a digital media transformation called al-maktabah sya>milah is an alternative for searching information on classical books in Pesantrens. Then, this article questions on the emergence of al-maktabah syu> mila NU fi>ha software at the Pesantren Assalafiyyah, Mlangi, Sleman, Yogyakarta in response to the presence of al-maktabah sya>milah. Syu>mila NU containing digital books by mu'tabar ulama taught in Pesantren Salaf, while Syamilah containing books by Arabic ulama allegedly carrying Wahhabi understanding. This has led to a contestation between the two Kitab Kuning digital applications in the Pesantren Salaf. This article uses an interpretive qualitative descriptive approach from library document data, multi-site, and software. The author analyzes the information on both the software and the related web. Maktabah syu> mila NU fi>ha software development is defensive which aims to fortify the Pesantren from the influence of the syamilah maktabah understanding which brings Wahhabi; a intolerant, apolitical, anti-tradition, and transnational understanding. The presence of this application appeared various responses from the pesantrens. Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Lirboyo, Kediri tends to be skeptical whether Pesantren Assalafiyyah Mlangi, Yogyakarta is more neutral, and Pesantren Salafiyyah Syafi’iyyah Sukorejo, Situbondo tends to be moderate and optimistic. This response is inseparable from the pesantren policy which is contained in the board’s rules for the use of electronic devices.

Abstract

Background of the study: The need for information in the era of globalization is rapidly growing, causing users to strategize to obtain information effectively. One of the strategies used in information retrieval is generative AI applications. Purpose: This study aims to discuss generative AI applications used in information retrieval and the impact of generative AI usage on information-seeking behavior. Methods: Library research is used to collect data from various relevant literature sources. Finding: The use of generative AI in information retrieval provides positive impacts, such as speeding up the search process and presenting concise and easily understood information. However, the use of generative AI also has negative effects, such as inaccurate data and potential dependence on technology. Conclusion: Although generative AI provides convenience in information retrieval, there are negative risks, such as data inaccuracy and overdependence on technology. Therefore, regulations and oversight are needed to prevent these negative impacts   ABSTRAK --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analisis Dampak Artificial Intelligence terhadap Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Latar Belakang: Kebutuhan informasi di era globalisasi semakin berkembang pesat, yang menyebabkan para pengguna informasi harus mengatur strategi untuk mendapatkan informasi secara efektif. Salah satu strategi yang digunakan adalah dengan memanfaatkan AI generatif. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas aplikasi-aplikasi AI Generatif yang digunakan dalam pencarian informasi serta dampak dari penggunaan AI generatif terhadap perilaku informasi. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research dengan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Temuan: Penggunaan AI generatif dalam pencarian informasi memberi dampak positif, seperti mempercepat proses pencarian dan menyajikan informasi yang ringkas dan mudah dipahami. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan AI generatif juga menimbulkan dampak negatif, yaitu data yang kurang akurat dan potensi ketergantungan pada teknologi. Kesimpulan: Meskipun AI generatif memberikan kemudahan dalam pencarian informasi, terdapat resiko negatif seperti ketidakakuratan data dan ketergantungan berlebihan pada teknologi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aturan dan pengawasan untuk mencegah dampak negatif tersebut.

Abstract

Introduction. Library services during the Covid-19 pandemic have decreased even to the point that services are completely closed. This happens because the virus is easily spread through the air, causing limited community activities outside the home. To overcome this problem, the library provides service innovations that can be used during a pandemic, namely drive thru services. The purpose of this study is to describe the existence of libraries in the new normal era so that many libraries adopt drive thru services.Methodology. The method used in this research is a library research method with a qualitative approach. Library research technique is a technique that takes data sources in the form of books as the object of study.Results and discussion. This drive-thru service adopts fast food franchise services. This service became an innovation and alternative service when the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia. To maintain the existence of the library finally, innovate to provide this service. This service is considered effective because of the lack of direct physical contact with other people in addition to reducing the crowding and spread of the covid-19 virus.Conclusion. Currently, the pandemic has begun to recede. But that doesn't detract from drive thru service. In this new normal era, drive thru services should increasingly exist and improve this drive thru service to provide better and better service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Jamila service innovation (Guarantee of Excellent Service Delivering Reliable Books to Users) implemented in the Yogyakarta City Library. Jamila service is a form of book delivery service based on "delivery service" designed to make it easier for users to access library materials without having to come directly to the library. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that service innovation includes expanding user requirements, such as access for users domiciled outside Yogyakarta with a meeting location arrangement (COD), as well as updating procedures involving the use of technology such as OPAC and WhatsApp for service efficiency. The obstacles found include inaccuracy of delivery location points and weather obstacles, which affect service effectiveness. However, the library has overcome most of the previous obstacles, such as transportation and promotion, through the use of official vehicles and social media. This study concludes that Jamila service innovation has succeeded in increasing the accessibility of library services, providing convenience for users, and can be a model of service innovation for other libraries in Indonesia.

Abstract

Librarian work motivation is very important to improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the work motivation of librarians at the Bank Indonesia Solo Library using Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. This research is a field research, which uses data collection techniques in the form of documentation and interviews. The informants of this research are librarians of Bank Indonesia Solo Branch. Data analysis uses Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. The results showed that librarians' work motivation is influenced by the fulfillment of basic needs, namely adequate salaries; security needs, namely a comfortable work environment; social needs, namely the LENTERA (Learning Literacy on Friday) program, news summaries, and e-cliping; appreciation needs, namely the Bank Indonesia Library Librarian Communication Forum event which gives awards to the most active librarians and accredited libraries; and self-actualization needs, namely online seminars from the National Library and Bank Indonesia Headquarters, and the “Limas Nusantara” program which contains daily library programs.
