Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between leadership styles and employee motivation in the context of contemporary management. This research employs a literature review approach to analyse various leadership theories, including transformational, transactional, autocratic, democratic, laissez-faire, and servant leadership. Each leadership style is evaluated in relation to employees' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The findings indicate that transformational and democratic leadership styles have the most significant influence on employees' intrinsic motivation, whereas transactional and autocratic leadership styles emphasize extrinsic motivation. This study contributes to contemporary management literature by providing insights into the importance of tailoring leadership styles to employees' motivational needs to achieve optimal performance.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the professionalism of teachers and staff at the Pesantren Tahfidhul Qur'an Al-Umm Smart Center through the "Charge & Recharge" workshop. Action Research method is employed with planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The workshop involves teachers and staff in planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicate improvements in teaching competence, classroom management, and managerial skills. Evaluation employs questionnaires, interviews, observations, and participant-facilitator reflections. The outcomes of evaluation and reflection are analyzed to identify strengths and weaknesses of the workshop, providing feedback for future competence development activities for teachers and staff. The workshop proves effective in enhancing the professionalism and performance of teachers and staff, with identified strengths such as interactive methods and weaknesses such as the workshop's short duration. In conclusion, the "Charge & Recharge" workshop offers relevant and effective training, emphasizing sustainable self-development for participants. Thus, this endeavor can bolster the quality of education and management at the pesantren.

Abstract

This research extensively examines credit risk management within the unique realm of Islamic banking institutions operating in Indonesia. Islamic finance, guided by principles of ethical finance and profit-and-loss sharing (PLS) contracts, introduces distinctive complexities into the credit risk domain. The primary objective is to scrutinize the intricacies of credit risk management in Islamic banking, particularly in the Indonesian context, a significant hub for Islamic finance. The study dissects several complex dimensions: It delves into the profound intricacies of risk-sharing mechanisms inherent in Islamic finance. The research explores how profit-and-loss sharing contracts, like Mudarabah and Musharakah, reshape credit risk dynamics and the distribution of risk between financial institutions and clients. Additionally, the research investigates the unique collateralization methods in Islamic banking, compliant with Sharia principles, and their impact on credit risk and recovery processes following default. A detailed analysis of diverse contractual structures used in Islamic finance, including Ijarah and Murabahah, assesses their influence on credit risk profiles and risk mitigation strategies. Moreover, the study examines the regulatory framework governing Islamic finance in Indonesia, considering how regulators harmonize Islamic financial principles with the imperative of maintaining financial stability. The complexities of default management and recovery procedures in Islamic finance are also explored, encompassing debt restructuring, arbitration, and Sharia-compliant debt recovery mechanisms. Abstract

Backround: The existence of village development cadres is expected to be the spearhead in efforts to control and prevent stunting, as is done by Jeneponto Regency which targets a 19% reduction in stunting prevalence from 48.8% in 2018 to 2023. Objective: This study aims to analyze the role of Human Development Cadres (KPM) in stunting prevention efforts in Jeneponto Regency, Indonesia, and analyze changes in stunting prevalence before and after the existence of KPM. Method: The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving KPM as the main informant. Result: The results show that the majority of KPM have carried out their duties, including socializing the stunting prevention convergence policy, collecting data on 1,000 HPK household targets, monitoring stunting prevention services, and coordinating with various parties. Despite this, there are still some KPM who have not fully carried out their duties. In addition, the stunting prevalence data in Jeneponto District shows a decrease from 2019 to 2021, but is still high when compared to the stunting rates at the provincial and national levels. Conclusion: The majority of KPM have been effective in monitoring nutrition deficiency prevention services for 1,000 targeted HPK households in Jeneponto Regency. Although the prevalence of nutrition deficiency decreased to 37.9% in 2021 from 41.11% in 2019, it remains high compared to the national average. The presence of KPM is expected to aid efforts in reducing nutrition deficiency with a focus on data validation and activity planning at the village level.

Abstract

Hospitals are health care institutions that organize comprehensive individual health services that provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. Therefore, hospitals are expected to be able to carry out good medical recording activities. Since pre-independence Indonesia has carried out medical recording activities, it's just that it has not been implemented properly, in terms of structuring and processing or following the correct information system. One of the supports for improving the quality of the hospital is in its Medical Record activities. Medical records are related to recording, processing data, and reporting information needed for hospital activities. Medical records as patient health records are useful for providing information from various data on activities carried out to patients while patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital. This study aims to determine how the processing of inpatient medical record files at Ujung Pandang Dr. Tajuddin Chalik Hospital. The research conducted used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, namely research that describes and describes the inpatient medical record management system at Dr. Tajuddin Chalik General Hospital. The results of this study are the process of processing medical record files consisting of the process of Completeness (Assembling), Coding (Coding), and Storage (Filling). Conclusion Based on the results of research on the Inpatient Medical Record Management System at Dr Tajuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar that for the input component, namely the medical record personnel of Dr Tajuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar still lacks officers so that it is no longer in accordance with the workload. For facilities and infrastructure, there is a shortage of storage shelves and expansion is needed for medical record storage rooms.

Abstract

Breast care during the postpartum period is a necessity for mothers who have just given birth. The postpartum period itself is six weeks or 40 days after delivery. During the postpartum period, breast care is a very important action to care for the breasts, especially to facilitate the release of breast milk (ASI). Swollen breasts usually occur in the first days of a baby's birth. Data obtained from Barru Hospital showed five cases of swollen breasts. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards breast care at Barru Hospital. This research uses a correlation analytical method with a cross sectional approach, data collection techniques using questionnaires with respondents namely postpartum mothers who receive services at Barru Hospital. Data analysis uses univariate analysis to test respondents' knowledge and attitudes and bivariate analysis to determine the relationship between variables. The results of univariate research with frequency distribution show that some respondents (52.5 %) have less knowledge, the attitude category shows that some respondents (52.5%) have an unsupportive attitude. The results of bivariate analysis with Chi-Square distribution obtained a value of 0.01 (p-value < 0.05). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that very few of the respondents (19%) were 4 people with little knowledge and a supportive attitude. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards breast care at Barru Hospital. Advice to health workers to carry out continuous outreach and education about breast care.

Abstract

The South Jakarta City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Service as one of the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of the South Jakarta city government, which has the authority to provide investment licensing services in the region, where it is hoped that permit service activities for the community and the business world can be carried out quickly, easy, transparent and certain in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence and work motivation on employee performance, both simultaneously and partially, and to be discussed descriptively. The research method used is descriptive and verification. The unit of analysis in this study were employees of the South Jakarta City Investment and One-Stop Service Office with a sample (n) of 34 employees. The analytical method used is path analysis. The results of this study indicate that competence has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, which means that employee competence determines the optimization of employee performance achievement. Based on the results of the partial competency test, the results show that competency has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Based on the results of the Partial Test of motivation, it was found that motivation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Based on the results of the F (simultaneous) test, motivation and competence simultaneously affect employee performance.

Abstract

Salah satu sumberdaya alam di Provinsi Jambi tersebut terletak di Kabupaten Kerinci, Kecamatan Gunung Raya tepatnya di kawasan Hulu Air Lempur, wisatawan mengenalnya sebagai desa wisata Lempur. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Menghitung potensi keanekaragaman sumberdaya ekowisata alam, 2) Menganalisis peranan sumberdaya manusia pada aspek ekonomi dan sosial budaya 3) Menghitung Nilai Willingness to Pay berdasarkan harga tiket masuk melalui pendekatan Contingent Valuation Method, 4) Menganalisis strategi pengelolaan ekowisata ekowisata di Kawasan Hulu Air Lempur, Kabupaten Kerinci. Berdasarkan hasil skoring peranan sumberdaya alam pada bidang Objek ekowisata di Hulu Air Lempur adalah sangat layak untuk dikembangkan menurut prioritas secara berurutan sebagai berikut: Danau Kaco, Danau Duo, Danau Nyalo, Panorama Alam Bukit Kemulau, Danau Kecik, air terjun Seluang Bersisik Emas dan Danau Lingkat. Peranan aspek sosial dan ekonomi memberikan distribusi yang sangat beragam dan signifikan baik terhadap kondisi dan minat wisatawan maupun terhadap kontribusinya bagi masyarakat setempat. Hasil analisis regresi berganda bahwa variabel usia berpengaruh secara signifikan pada tarap 5%. Pada analisis Willingness to Pay melalui metode Contingent Valuation Method menunjukan bahwa pengunjung ekowisata bersedia membayar pengganti tiket sebesar Rp 11.000. Pada Analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa posisi titik potong diagram (0,80 ; 0,40), yaitu berada pada posisi kuadran I, artinya peningkatan pengelolaan ekowisata secara komprehensif, berbasiskan lingkungan harus didukung secara multisektoral terutama masyarakat setempat dengan menggalakan bidang promosi dan publikasi objek ekowisata secara nasional bahkan ketingkat Internasional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the effect of leadership of the Head of the West Java Provincial Education Office on the work productivity of employees of the West Java Provincial Education Office; (2) the effect of employee discipline on the work productivity of employees of the West Java Provincial Education Office; and (3) the effect of leadership and employee discipline on the work productivity of employees of the West Java Provincial Education Office. The research method used is descriptive and explanatory survey method using a sample of West Java Provincial Education Office employees as respondents, totaling 50 people. Based on the results of the study, the research results show that leadership in the West Java Provincial Education Office is generally good, but there are several things that need attention, namely the lack of smooth communication between employees and leaders, a less conducive work atmosphere, less attention to employee conditions and unclear task structures; employee discipline is considered quite good, but it is necessary to improve discipline, namely punctuality of attendance, obedience in following SOPs, and responsibility in maintaining work infrastructure; leadership affects employee work productivity, where the better leadership will result in better work productivity of employees of the West Java Provincial Education Office; discipline affects employee work productivity, so that the higher employee discipline, the higher work productivity will be; and leadership and employee discipline together affect employee work productivity, but when viewed partially it turns out that leadership is more dominant in influencing employee work productivity than employee discipline.
