Abstract

The  purpose  of  the study. To develop and validate a comprehensive Body Fighter Camp Model and Training Program specifically designed for women in Indonesia, addressing the growing obesity epidemic and its associated health risks. The study aims to create an effective mixed martial arts-based exercise intervention that can simultaneously improve body composition and cardiovascular health. Materials and methods. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with 20 female participants (age range 20-45 years) recruited from the Malang area. The Body Fighter Training Program consisted of 20 sessions over 2.5 months, incorporating 9 different exercise components including High Intensity Interval Training, Body Weight Training, Boxing, Judo, Karate, Tabata, Fitness, Circuit Training, and Crossfit. Participants underwent comprehensive health screenings, and measurements of Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure were taken before and after the intervention. Results. The study demonstrated significant improvements across various health parameters. Obese participants experienced BMI reductions of 5-10 kg/m², while overweight participants showed moderate declines of 3-5 kg/m². Blood pressure outcomes were equally promising, with 85% of participants showing cardiovascular health improvements. Statistical analysis revealed a statistically significant result (p = 0.039), with a moderate effect size and 80% statistical power. The program achieved a 100% completion rate and over 90% success in participants reaching their health goals. Conclusions. The Body Fighter Camp Model provides a promising, culturally appropriate approach to addressing obesity and cardiovascular health among women in Indonesia. By integrating martial arts principles with high-intensity interval training, the program offers an engaging and effective alternative to traditional exercise interventions. The research suggests potential for broader implementation in public health strategies targeting obesity prevention and management.

Abstract

Menstrual cycle irregularities in the first 2-3 years after adolescents experience menarche are a common problem that is easily found. Adolescents who experience menstrual cycle irregularities are also considered to have disturbances in their sleep quality. This study aims to investigate the relationship between sleep quality and menstrual cycles in adolescents participating in volleyball extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 and SMPN 2 Lawang, Malang Regency. The research design employed an analytical approach, utilizing a purposive sampling technique. The respondents of the study were 55 adolescents. The research instruments used were the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the Menstrual Cycle Assessment Instrument developed by the author. Data analysis using bivariate, carried out with statistical calculations and displayed in a frequency distribution table. The results of the study were that 45.5% of respondents had abnormal menstrual cycles, and 63.6% of respondents had poor sleep quality. The relationship between the two showed high significance (p-value=0,001), girls who had poor sleep quality had a 9.6 times greater risk of experiencing poor menstrual cycles compared to adolescent girls who had good sleep quality.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed at improving the understanding of multiplication concepts among Grade II A students of SD N Koroulon 2 Sleman through a Deep Learning approach assisted by coin-based media. The research was conducted in two cycles using the spiral model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart. In the Cycle I, the learning process focused on using coin games as a concrete medium to build conceptual understanding of multiplication. The results showed that only 68% of students achieved learning mastery. Discrepancies were still observed in the achievement indicators, particularly in converting repeated addition into multiplication sentences. Based on the reflection results, improvements were implemented in the Cycle II through strategies such as paired group work, varied learning activities, and the inclusion of a "semi-abstract" stage in the instructional process. The results of the second cycle showed a significant improvement: learning mastery reached 89%, and all learning achievement indicators exceeded 80%. This study demonstrates that the Deep Learning approach, supported by contextual media and adaptive teaching strategies, can meaningfully enhance students' conceptual understanding of multiplication. This success was also supported by effective classroom communication and the cultivation of reflective thinking habits throughout the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the efficiency of three-phase induction motors and the factors influencing it through a literature study approach with a descriptive-analytical design. Secondary data were obtained from reputable journals, books, technical standards (IEC 60034-30-1, IEC 60085, PUIL 2011), government regulations, and industrial research reports. The analysis was conducted comparatively against findings from the palm oil, paper, and manufacturing sectors to identify similarities, differences, and key factors for improving efficiency. The results indicate that motor efficiency is affected by workload, operating temperature, voltage stability, motor age, the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and compliance with technical standards. Operating at near-optimal loads, performing routine maintenance, using Variable Speed Drives (VSD), and IoT-based monitoring have been proven to enhance efficiency and extend motor lifespan. The application of OHS measures and adherence to international/national standards maintain system reliability and reduce energy losses. This study recommends integrating technical and managerial strategies, including selecting high-efficiency class motors, optimizing load settings, implementing real-time monitoring, and providing technical training, to achieve efficient, safe, and sustainable motor performance while supporting industrial competitiveness amidst the demands for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability

Abstract

Education and the Society 5.0 era are interconnected through technological advancements that influence the role of teachers, teaching methods, mindsets, and educational media, particularly in mathematics education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation and impact of technology in mathematics education in the Society 5.0 era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review design to collect, analyze, and disseminate previous research related to the topic. The findings highlight several pioneers in mathematics education in the Society 5.0 era, such as the importance of integrating technology, technology-based learning approaches, technological tools in mathematics education, digital collaboration and communication, interactive technology, and real-time learning technology. Furthermore, both positive and negative impacts of implementing these technologies were found. Based on the research results, it is recommended that educational institutions integrate technology into mathematics education through teacher training, providing supporting infrastructure, and designing curricula that align with these advancements to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and problem-solving skills of students in facing the challenges of the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education in the curriculum at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati as an effort to prevent radicalism. The research employs a phenomenological method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study include nine students from grades X, XI, and XII, as well as the principal, two teachers, and three parents as supporting informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati implements character education through the integration of the Merdeka Curriculum and the ISMUBA Curriculum. The principal plays a key role in setting policies, motivating teachers, and creating a conducive learning environment. Teachers serve as role models and facilitators in shaping students' character through classroom interactions. As the main actors, students are taught values such as discipline, honesty, and empathy through academic and extracurricular activities. Character education at this school also includes religious and nationalistic values as a strategy to prevent radicalism. However, challenges remain, including students' lack of awareness and varying understandings of character values. Therefore, collaboration among schools, teachers, students, and parents is essential to optimizing sustainable character education.
