Abstract

Purpose of the study: This systematic literature review examines the multifaceted relationship between teacher-student social media engagement and its dual impact on academic learning outcomes and students' social development. The study aims to synthesize existing research to identify patterns, contradictions, and gaps in understanding how educational social media interactions influence both pedagogical effectiveness and students' social well-being. Materials and methods: A comprehensive systematic review methodology was employed, analyzing 87 peer-reviewed studies published between 2010 and 2024. Studies were identified through structured database searches in Web of Science, ERIC, Scopus, PsycINFO, and Education Source using predetermined inclusion criteria. Data extraction focused on social media platforms used, interaction patterns, pedagogical approaches, learning outcomes, social-emotional effects, and ethical considerations. Results: The analysis revealed four major themes: (1) platform-specific pedagogical effectiveness with higher engagement rates on interactive multimedia platforms; (2) correlation between structured social media integration and improved learning outcomes; (3) bidirectional influence between academic social media use and students' broader digital social lives; and (4) significant disparities in digital literacy and access affecting engagement patterns. The findings indicate that teacher-moderated social media interactions with clear educational objectives show positive learning outcomes, while unstructured engagement demonstrates inconsistent results. Conclusions: Teacher-student social media engagement presents substantial opportunities for enhanced learning when implemented with intentional pedagogical frameworks, proper boundaries, and digital literacy support. However, careful attention to ethical considerations, privacy concerns, and potential negative impacts on students' social development is essential. Educational institutions would benefit from developing comprehensive social media policies that balance academic innovation with student well-being.

Abstract

This study investigated high school students motivation and barriers to implementing Physical Education (PE). This study used a descriptive quantitative research survey method involving 300 samples. The instrument utilizes an online motivation questionnaire for data collection. The data is analyzed using percentage analyses. The results of data analysis with indicators of student motivation reveal that the Intrinsic motivation and Identified regulation categories have higher results and identical values, with a value of 23%, and the Amotivation category, with a value of 15%, has lower results among other motivation indicators including intrinsic motivation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, external regulation. The indicator of student barriers shows that the external category has higher results with a value of 54%, and the internal category has lower results with a value of 46%. This research indicates that intrinsic motivation and identified regulation have identical values and are higher than the other motivation categories. It concludes that many students still have the motivation that grows from themselves and pressure from outside to participate in physical education learning. Barriers can also be concluded by examining higher external than internal indicators. This study shows that students have barriers that prevent them from growing outside to participate in educational learning activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid and reliable learning evaluation instrument. This research uses the development of this learning evaluation instrument using a development model based on Lee &; Owens theory, namely ADDIE, where this development model consists of 5 stages , namely Analysis , Design , Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Data collection in this study used a small scale of 40 samples and a large scale of 80 samples. Data analysis techniques by determining validity and reliability using IBM SPSS. From the results of the validity test carried out on the scale, namely the value of Rcalculate > Rtabel where if the results of Rcalculate > Rtabel then it can be declared that the instrument is valid. Meanwhile, in the validity test on a large scale, the results obtained are the value of Rcalculate > Rtabel where if the results of Rcalculate > Rtabel then it can be stated that the instrument is valid. In addition to validity tests, researchers also use reliability tests on small and large scales. In the results of small-scale reliability tests, the results obtained are Cronbach's Alpha value > 0.60, which means that the instrument has a high reliability value. And in large-scale reliability tests, the results obtained are Cronbach's Alpha value > 0.60, which means that the instrument has a high reliability value. The PJOK assessment instrument for athletic material for grade VII SMP/MTs students has proven to be valid and reliable. There is a need for further studies related to instrument development, where the instrument is still at the development stage where the data obtained is only validity and reliability data on a small and large scale, the instrument still needs to be evaluated so that the shortcomings that still exist can be corrected and addressed

Abstract

This study aims to examine the social behavior of boarding (kost) students towards the community in Ngestiharjo Village. Using a qualitative method and involving 10 informants, the study reveals that the social behavior of students is influenced by differences in ethnicity, race, and religion. When supervision is lacking, students tend to exhibit deviant behavior, particularly due to the boarding environment’s insufficient attention to their activities. In addition to their behavior in the boarding area, students often seek an escape outside the campus to overcome boredom and experience freedom. These findings highlight the importance of better management and supervision of the boarding environment to minimize deviant behavior and enhance positive interactions between students and the local community
