Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, thinking skills-oriented learning has not been implemented properly, the impact of student HOTS is getting lower. The purpose of this study is to increase the HOTS of elementary school students during the Covid-19 pandemic through the RADEC learning model. The research was conducted at SDN Harapan 1 Cimahi City. The research methodology uses classroom action research. Data collection techniques used are tests and observations. Data analysis used comparative analysis techniques and qualitative analysis. The results showed that there were only 2 students in the pre-cycle data that obtained the "good" criteria, in the first cycle it increased significantly to 15 students, and in the second cycle it increased again to 20 students. Furthermore, in the pre-cycle students who completed it reached 13 students (37.1%), in the first cycle increased to 28 students (80%), and the second cycle by 33 students (94.2%) who completed. This significant increase is because the entire syntax of the HOTS-oriented RADEC learning model can be easily implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic because the syntax is flexible, adaptive, and in accordance with the characteristics of Indonesian students. The conclusion of this study is that the RADEC learning model can increase the HOTS of grade IV students at SDN Harapan 1 for the 2020/2021 academic year during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMK Bina Cendekia Cirebon dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pengembangan konten digital microlearning sebagai solusi untuk menjembatani kesenjangan digital di sektor pendidikan. Program ini melibatkan 42 guru yang mengikuti serangkaian pelatihan, dimulai dengan identifikasi kebutuhan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD), diikuti dengan pelatihan teknis, dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi hasil. Hasil FGD menunjukkan bahwa banyak guru masih kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan difokuskan pada pengembangan keterampilan teknis dan desain instruksional yang diperlukan untuk menciptakan materi digital berkualitas tinggi. Evaluasi pasca-pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru dengan pengalaman mengajar 0-5 tahun memiliki tingkat pemahaman tertinggi terhadap materi pelatihan. Sementara itu, guru dengan pengalaman lebih dari lima tahun menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman yang lebih bervariasi, dengan sebagian memperoleh pemahaman yang tinggi, tetapi sebagian lainnya mengalami kesulitan dalam menyerap materi secara optimal. Selain itu, Guru Produktif Tata Busana menunjukkan pemahaman tertinggi berdasarkan jabatan, yang mengindikasikan bahwa spesialisasi tertentu lebih responsif terhadap pelatihan ini. Meskipun hasilnya positif, tantangan seperti perbedaan tingkat literasi digital dan keterbatasan infrastruktur tetap menjadi kendala. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pengembangan konten microlearning dan memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengurangi kesenjangan digital di bidang pendidikan. This community service program is carried out at SMK Bina Cendekia Cirebon to improve teacher competence in developing digital micro-learning content, a solution to bridge the digital divide in the education sector. The program involved 42 teachers who participated in a series of trainings, starting with identifying needs through FGD, then technical training, and ending with evaluating the results. The results of the FGD show that many teachers still have difficulties integrating digital technology into learning. Therefore, the training is focused on developing the technical and instructional design skills necessary to create high-quality digital materials. ost- training evaluation revealed that teachers with 0-5 years of teaching experience demonstrated the highest level of comprehension of the training materials. Meanwhile, teachers with more than 5 years teaching experience exhibited more varied levels of understanding, with some achieving high comprehension while others faced challenges in fully grasping the material. In addition, Productive Teachers of Fashion showed the highest understanding based on position, which indicates that certain specialties are more responsive to this training. Despite the positive results, challenges such as differences in digital literacy levels and limited infrastructure remain obstacles. Overall, this program has succeeded in improving teachers' competence in microlearning content development and significantly contributing to reducing the digital divide in education.

Abstract

Micro-credential language courses have gained significant attention in the field of language education due to their potential to offer targeted and flexible learning experiences. However, the successful implementation of these courses relies on understanding the perceptions of language educators and addressing the associated issues and challenges. This study aims to identify language educators’ perceptions of online language learning platforms and micro-credential online language learning platforms and explore the issues and challenges in developing micro-credential language courses. Employing a quantitative approach, data was collected from 30 respondents from language educators at the centre for language learning, in a public university in Malaysia. Through survey questionnaires, quantitative insights into educators’ perceptions and experiences were gathered. The survey questionnaire gathered quantitative data on educators’ perceptions and experiences. This research sheds light on language educators’ perceptions of online language learning platforms and micro-credentials while identifying the challenges inherent in developing such courses. The findings underscore the significance of addressing these challenges to ensure the effective implementation of micro-credential-based language courses within online education contexts.

Abstract

Needs for using a Learning Management System (LMS) in curriculum development in higher education is increasing, including what has happened at the Bandung Institute of Technology. LMS is not only a complementary medium but also a substitute medium for the learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the process of implementing ISO 9001: 2015 in online learning services at the Directorate of Education Development and assess risk mitigation in overcoming obstacles to the curriculum management process. This research was carried out based on the urgency of the management process in curriculum development to support the achievement of curriculum objectives. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The findings from this study indicate that the Directorate of Educational Development at the Bandung Institute of Technology has implemented ISO 9001:2015 properly, which means it has carried out its duties according to the applicable rules and regulations. Implementing the LMS at the Bandung Institute of Technology applies several criteria related to the Quality Management System (QMS), which is supported by the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) process and cycle model so that an organization can achieve the desired results. AbstrakKebutuhan akan pemanfaatan Learning Management System (LMS) dalam pengembangan kurikulum di pendidikan tinggi semakin tinggi, termasuk yang terjadi di Institut Teknologi Bandung. LMS tidak hanya sebagai media komplementer, akan tetapi juga sebagai media substitusi sistem pembelajaran di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penerapan ISO 9001:2015 dalam layanan pembelajaran daring di Direktorat Pengembangan Pendidikan, serta mengetahui mitigasi resiko dalam mengatasi kendala pada proses manajemen kurikulum. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan urgensi proses manajemen dalam pengembangan kurikulum untuk mendukung ketercapaian tujuan kurikulum. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil temuan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Direktorat Pengembangan Pendidikan di Institut Teknologi Bandung telah mengimplementasikan ISO 9001:2015 dengan baik, dan artinya telah menjalani tupoksinya sesuai aturan dan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Pelaksanaan LMS di Institut Teknologi Bandung menerapkan beberapa kriterai terkait Sistem Manajemen Mutu (SMM) yang didukung oleh model proses dan siklus PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) sehingga sebuah organisasi dapat mencapai hasil yang diinginkan.Kata Kunci: ISO 9001:2015; learning management system; manajemen kurikulum; pembelajaran daring

Abstract

Multimedia laboratory is crucial for supporting students' learning process in educational technology program. This relates to the implementation of knowledge into skills in producing digital learning media. However, many students still find it challenging to understand the function and use of tools and equipment in producing digital learning media due to the absence of a handbook to support learning in the lab. This situation came to light during the writer's observation of issues during the implementation of the Actualization phase of the 2024 CPNS basic training. This study aims to develop an instructional guidebook for students in the educational technology program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). This study employed D&D with 4D Model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The learning guidebook is produced in an E-book format, linked to 12 tutorial videos, that activates students to be more familiar with the lab equipment, know how to use the lab hardware and software and produce digital learning media. This research provides contribution to increase students' practical skills and foster the effectiveness of learning practice in the multimedia lab.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has driven significant transformations in higher education. The integration of AI in learning offers the potential to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and personalization of data-driven learning. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of AI research trends in higher education learning, tracing publication patterns, source distribution, geographic distribution, and emerging themes in academic literature. The study uses a quantitative descriptive method with bibliometric analysis of Scopus publication data 2018–2023. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to map bibliographic relationships between publications, sources, authors, countries, and keywords. The results show that AI publications in higher education have increased rapidly, especially in 2023. The dominant themes are "artificial intelligence" and "higher education", with the latest trend towards "generative AI" and "ChatGPT". Publications appear in many interdisciplinary journals of social and computer sciences, with the United States, China, Australia, and the United Kingdom dominating research contributions. The findings provide a systematic overview of the development of AI research in higher education and serve as a strategic basis for educators, researchers, and policymakers in designing effective and sustainable AI integration in higher education. AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) telah mendorong transformasi signifikan dalam pendidikan tinggi. Integrasi AI dalam pembelajaran menawarkan potensi peningkatan efektivitas, efisiensi, dan personalisasi pembelajaran berbasis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis bibliometrik komprehensif terhadap tren penelitian AI dalam pembelajaran pendidikan tinggi, menelusuri pola publikasi, distribusi sumber, persebaran geografis, dan tema yang muncul dalam literatur akademik. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis bibliometrik data publikasi Scopus 2018–2023. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan VOSviewer untuk memetakan hubungan bibliografis antara publikasi, sumber, penulis, negara, dan kata kunci. Hasil menunjukkan publikasi AI dalam pendidikan tinggi mengalami peningkatan pesat, terutama tahun 2023. Tema dominan adalah "artificial intelligence" dan "higher education", dengan tren terkini mengarah pada "generative AI" dan "ChatGPT". Publikasi banyak muncul di jurnal interdisipliner ilmu sosial dan komputer, dengan Amerika Serikat, Tiongkok, Australia, dan Inggris mendominasi kontribusi penelitian. Temuan memberikan gambaran sistematis perkembangan penelitian AI dalam pendidikan tinggi dan menjadi dasar strategis bagi pendidik, peneliti, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang integrasi AI yang efektif dan berkelanjutan di perguruan tinggi.Kata Kunci: analisis bibliometrik; desain pembelajaran; kecerdasan buatan; pembelajaran; pendidikan tinggi

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental educational background, self-efficacy, and children's reading habits in the digital era. Using a correlational quantitative research method, the study involved 408 parents in West Jawa with children aged 4–8 years. The sampling technique used was multistage random sampling. Data were collected through an online Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The findings indicate that parental self-efficacy significantly influences children's reading habits (B = 0.247; p < 0.001), while parental educational background does not have a direct significant effect (p > 0.05). The model's Nagelkerke R² value of 0.494 suggests that 49.4% of the variance in children's reading habits can be explained by parental self-efficacy and educational background. These results highlight the importance of parental confidence in supporting children's literacy, which can be enhanced through family literacy intervention programs. Thus, this study contributes new insights into the psychological and environmental factors affecting children's reading habits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of curriculum components that include objectives, content, learning strategies, and evaluation in the context of vocational education in Vocational High Schools (SMK), and examine their relevance to industry standards. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a collective case study method at three private vocational schools in Medan. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed interactively based on the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that there are integrative efforts from each school, but they are not yet fully aligned with industry needs. The main obstacles lie in the lack of ongoing collaboration with industry as well as limitations in adopting technology and evidence-based curriculum updates. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions, government, and the industry sector in designing and implementing a vocational curriculum that is contextual and responsive to changes in technology and the job market.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship content learning in vocational education plays a strategic role in addressing the persistent issue of low student well-being in Indonesia. Well-being represents a multidimensional construct that includes psychological resilience, social integration, and financial independence, all of which are essential for preparing students to enter the labor market with confidence. The study employed a qualitative approach with a prospective case study design conducted in the Tourism Department of SMKN 1 Pacet, Cianjur, during September 2024. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of entrepreneurial learning activities. Findings demonstrated that entrepreneurship content learning strengthened psychological well-being by increasing self-confidence, motivation, and adaptability. Social well-being was enhanced through improved collaboration, empathy, and communication skills, while financial well-being developed through students’ ability to apply entrepreneurial knowledge in generating income. The conclusion confirms that entrepreneurship content learning contributes significantly to advancing vocational education by simultaneously fostering employability skills and promoting comprehensive student well-being. The contribution of the study lies in providing empirical evidence that entrepreneurship-oriented curricula support not only professional competence but also sustainable educational development.

Abstract

Digulirkannya kebijakan pendekatan Pembelajaran Mendalam (PM) untuk implementasi kurikulum nasional, menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru-guru di lapangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan mitra berupa keterbatasan pemahaman guru sekolah dasar dalam mengimplementasikan konsep dan strategi Pembelajaran Mendalam (PM). Mitra kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Parongpong yang berjumlah 50 guru. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berupa intervensi terstruktur selama dua hari, meliputi: (i) pra-pelatihan dengan distribusi buku panduan PM yang memuat enam topik inti, (ii) pelatihan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi, serta workshop praktik penyusunan desain pembelajaran, dan (iii) pascapelatihan berupa penguatan serta evaluasi tindak lanjut. Metode kegiatan mencakup asesmen awal dan akhir, praktik terbimbing, serta pendampingan langsung. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru dengan nilai normalized gain (N-gain) pada enam aspek PM berada pada kategori sedang (0,43–0,56); aspek prinsip PM memperoleh capaian tertinggi (0,56), sementara aspek pengembangan desain pembelajaran masih terendah (0,43) sehingga membutuhkan penguatan lanjutan. Evaluasi reaksi peserta juga memperlihatkan persepsi yang sangat positif (rata-rata ≥ 4,51/5) terhadap relevansi, kejelasan, manfaat praktis, kolaborasi, dan sikap reflektif. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam merancang dan menerapkan Pembelajaran Mendalam, meskipun pendampingan berkelanjutan tetap diperlukan agar implementasi di kelas lebih optimal.
