Abstract

AbstractThis paper begins with the emergence of problems in the implementation of education about the role of the school/madrasah library. Library as one of the important factor in improving the quality of the learning process in schools / madrasah. It is undeniable that the number of libraries and school/madrasah librarian are still below the average of national standard of library school/ madrasah. Required the intervention in enhancing the role of libraries and school library personnel / madrasah. Through training madrassa library management, training participants are expected to increase their ability after the training, particularly in carrying out his duties as a school library personnel. Based on the results of pre-test and post-test data showed that it had an increased knowledge of the trainees. The trainees also found the library management training has particular relevance and effectiveness in improving the understanding related to the management of the library. After training, the trainees also apply in libraries madrassas through improvements in the management of the library. Training library management has proven effective in improving knowledge, attitudes, and skills in carrying out the task of managing the library.Keyword: Library, school librarian, School quality improvement AbstrakTulisan ini diawali dengan munculnya permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan tentang peran perpustakaan sekolah/madrasah. Perpustakaan sebagai salah satu factor penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah/madrasah. Tak dapat dipungkiri bahwa jumlah perpustakaan dan tenaga perpustakaan sekolah/madrasah masih berada di bawah rata-rata standar perpustakaan sekolah/madrasah yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Diperlukan adanya intervensi dalam meningkatkan peran perpustakaan dan tenaga perpustakaan sekolah/ madrasah. Melalui pelatihan pengelolaan perpustakaan madrasah, peserta pelatihan diharapkan dapat meningkat kemampuannya setelah mengikuti pelatihan tersebut, khususnya dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai tenaga perpustakaan sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil pre test dan post test diperoleh data bahwa secara pengetahuan peserta pelatihan memiliki peningkatan. Peserta pelatihan juga berpendapat bahwa pelatihan pengelolaan perpustakaan memiliki relevansi dan efektivitas khususnya dalam meningkatkan pemahamannya terkait pengelolaan perpustakaan. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, peserta pelatihan pun menerapkannya di pepustakaan madrasahnya melalui pembenahan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan. Pelatihan pengelolaan perpustakaan terbukti efektif memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilannya dalam melaksanakan tugas mengelola perpustakaan.Keyword: Perpustakaan, Tenaga Perpustakaan, Kualitas Pendidikan Madrasah

Abstract

The era in which the exstense of ICT brings with it enlightenment in every aspect of life changes of paradigms in libraries exists. The change includes a transfer in system – from conventional type of services to ICT-based services with some orientation for the sake of users’ needs. The innovations taking place in libraries are influenced by 10 issues: "... a) the presence of electronic paper, b) new publishing model, c) on-line bookstore, d) e-commerce, e) digital television, f) integrated learning environment , g) remote university, h) mobile communication, i) print-on-demand, j) the threat og the unknown". The change in paradigms leads to manajerial which formely management bound to merely build and develop library collection, product-oriented services of information to ICT-based services management. Three major ICT-based services comprise human resources and non human resources, proactive kind of services and users empowerment. Accordingly, libraries an entitiy need to be managed bt human resources with managerial competence (leading, planning, organizing dan controlling), bibliograpical and library technological know-how, human relation skill, ability to work in team, elite type of conduct, elegance and intelligence, being ordered, ordered, school curriculum, writing competency, publishing, users needs, work partnership, ability of reading publisher’s catalog both printed and online, desoiderata, budgeting, statistics, accesion list, registration book, classification, catalouging both manually and in an electronic mode, indexing, writing an abstract, accessories, shelving, binding, fumigation, camouflaging, and others), services competency, users-oriented services, users empowering, wide horizons, expertise in one field of dicipline, knowledge of principles and techniques in guidance and counseling, social sciences, psychology and culture, library technological know-how, communication skill, human resources skill, emphaty, attractive appearance, fair, helpful, information and science know-how, form-making skil, flow charts of services, organizing materials, guides/labels, rules and policy, correspondency, shelving,PERPUSTAKAAN reporting/evaluating/statistic, punishment, how to use library education, simple general infromation, good sense of media, answeing reference questions skill, helping people to obtain information through face to face contact, assistance to readers in searching information, bibliographical searching/service, and competency and ICT (the use of hardware and implementing of all softwares on all operational activities in the library). The competency of human development at schools/madrasah should refer to Act #43/2007 on Library and the Ministry Regulations #25/2008 on Standard of School Librarians.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan pemanfaatan perpustakaan dengan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi. Adapun secara khusus tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah (1) untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi; (2) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi dan (3) untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara pemanfaatan perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar dengan peningkatan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif studi deskriptif analisis korelasi. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan Sampling Purposive. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup dengan skala lima kategori Likert, pengolahan data menggunakan korelasi dari Pearson’s Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pemanfaatan perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi berada dalam kategori baik, (2) hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi berada dalam kategori cukup baik,dan (3) pemanfaatan perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar memiliki keterkaiatan yang signifikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi, yang menghasilkan korelasi dengan kriteria kuat. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dari pemanfaatan perpustakaan dengan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa di SMP Negeri 5 Sukabumi.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran, (2) Pengaruh struktur terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran, (3) Pengaruh standar-standar terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran (4) Pengaruh tanggung jawab terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 25 orang tenaga perpustakaan CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Iklim organisasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran, (2) Struktur memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran, (3) Standar memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran, dan (4) Tanggung jawab memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran. Iklim organisasi pada CISRAL Universitas Padjadjaran dikategorikan kondusif, namun sebaiknya perpustakaan dapat menciptakan iklim organisasi yang lebih kondusif dan nyaman agar produktivitas kerja tenaga perpustakaan semakin meningkat. Kata Kunci : Iklim Organisasi, Tenaga Perpustakaan, Produktivitas Kerja Abstract: This study aims to find out (1) The influence of organizational climate on work productivity of librarian at Padjadjaran University, CISRAL (2) The Influences of structure on work productivity of librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University (3) The influence of standards on work productivity of librarian at CISRAL University of Padjadjaran (4) The influence of responsibility on work productivity librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University. This research was conducted on 25 people CISRAL Padjadjaran University Librarian. This research method using descriptive statistics. Based on the research results show that (1) The climate of the Organization had a significant influence on work productivity of librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University (2) Structures have a significant influence on work productivity of librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University (3) Standards have a significant influence on work productivity of librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University and (4) The responsibility of having a significant influence on  work productivity of librarian at CISRAL Padjadjaran University. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan pemustaka akan informasi. Permasalahan umum yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi program edu-tourism di perpustakaan Museum konperensi Asia Afrika. Edu-tourism merupakan program yang di terapkan di perpustakaan Museum Konperensi Asia Afrika (MKAA) sebagai salah satu upaya perpustakaan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pemustaka yang berkunjung di perpustakaan Museum Konferensi Asia Afrika yang berjumlah 815 orang pada tahun 2015 dengan jumlah sampel 73 pemustaka yang mengunjungi Perpustakaan Museum Konperensi Asia Afrika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan program edu-tourism mampu memberikan kontribusi yang positif dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka.Kata Kunci : Edu-tourism, Kebutuhan informasi, implementasi Abstract. This research was based on the information needs of the library users. Issues being the topic of discussion is how implementation of edu-tourism programs in museum of the Asian African Conference library. Edu-tourism is a program implemented in museum library Asia African Conference as part of efforts to meet te information needs of the users library. The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The results of the study show that edu-tourism program is able to provide a positive contribution in meeting the information needs users. Abstract

As a profession, a librarian has an ethic codes to be understood by librarian candidates. In the learning process, candidates or students should be introduced to the knowledge, attitude, and skills required to become a librarian. Through the learning process in the Etika Profesi Pustakawan (Professional Etiquette of Librarians) subject, students are introduced to a number of attitudes, ethics, and knowledge, prompting them to think critically in order to become a professional librarian with good etiquette. To achieve such goal, the learning process should be designed in the first place using the ADDIE approach to achieve expected results in accordance with the goals set. The present study is a review on an instructional design which can be developed to improve the quality of learning process, particularly in the efforts to enhance students’ critical thinking skill in order to become an ethical librarian. The development of the learning design employs the ADDIE approach. The ADDIE model consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The Analysis step is purposed to identify potential factors causing a gap in the performance. In the Design step, the expected performance is tested and assessed using proper testing method. The Development step comprises an activity to produce and validating the selected learning resources supporting the learning process. The Implementation step comprises the preparation of learning environment and the involvement of the students. At last, the Evaluation step is done to evaluate the quality of the learning process and products, both before and after the implementation of the program. Through ADDIE model approach, a learning program will be designed, aiming at improving students’ critical thinking ability in order to become an ethical librarian.
