Abstract

Community Based Model of Trowulan Cultural Heritage Region Utilization. Managing cultural heritage is not solely the responsibility of the government. However, local people must be invited to play an active role too if preservation is to be successful, because utilization of the site and its resources is directly related to the interaction of people’s lives with cultural heritage and if utilization is not managed properly then social conflict will arise. Trowulan is recognized as a national heritage area through Decree No. 260/M/2013 from the Ministry of Education and Culture, but its preservation needs to be properly managed. This study applied the qualitative approach: observation on sites used by people either controlled by the state or owned by the community; in-depth interviews to persons who have a role in public life, and of central and local government officials; discussion groups with researchers, academics, observers, officials of the central government; and the study of legislation. This study captured the essence of people’s aspirations in the utilization of Trowulan to create amodel for community-based Trowulan utilization. Our model has produced benefits to social welfare and national identity. All aspects are related with each other to provide feedback (management board, legal aspect, blueprint, funding) so that it becomes strong and sustainable management. Abstract

The Banjaratma Heritage Rest Area is a form of development of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory with the concept of adaptation and revitalization. Until it was inaugurated as a rest area in 2019, the Banjaratma Sugar Factory still had the status of an Alleged Cultural Heritage Object (ODCB). This research reviews the suitability of the form of adaptation and revitalization of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory to UU No.11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage and the perception of the significant values of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory. The method used is an archaeological research method, includes seven steps, including formulation, implementation, data collection, data processing, analysis, interpretation and publication. The aim of this research is to show changes in the Banjaratma Sugar Factory from time to time through the implementation of adaptation, revitalization and compliance with the Cultural Heritage Law, as well as explaining the influence of the development of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory on the significant values that have been identified. This research proves that the form of adaptation and revitalization of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory is in accordance with the principles of the Cultural Heritage Law. Of the 99 respondents consisting of administrators, sellers and visitors, the majority strongly agreed or agreed that the Banjaratma Heritage Rest Area has significant value for history, knowledge, education, culture, social and economics. The community's positive perception of these significant values shows that the development of the Banjaratma Sugar Factory through adaptation and revitalization has not caused a decline in its significant values.

Abstract

Pancasila is the fundamental ideology of the Indonesian state and should serve as a guiding principle in national and civic life; however, the implementation of its values within society remains limited. In the educational context, Islamic boarding schools pondok pesantren play a crucial role in character formation based on Pancasila values, particularly the Second Principle, “Just and Civilized Humanity,” which aligns with the pesantren’s mission to develop generations with akhlaqul karimah (noble character). These values are believed to be implemented through moral development and residential routines at Pondok Quran Boarding School. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and describe specifically how the values of the Second Principle of Pancasila are actualized in efforts to build students’ character at Pondok Quran Boarding School. This study employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with a qualitative design that emphasizes active involvement and collaboration between the researchers (university students) and participants (students). The actualization of Pancasila values, particularly the Second Principle, was carried out through socialization activities and a series of stages, including planning, preliminary observation, implementation of educational activities in the field, and reflection. The findings indicate that the PAR approach through interactive educational programs is effective as a medium for the actualization and internalization of the Second Principle of Pancasila among junior high school students. These activities make a tangible contribution to strengthening students’ character by fostering respect for human dignity, building civilized relationships, and creating a culture of mutual respect and a healthy learning environment within the school.

Methods: The research method used survey. A convenient sample of 156 students who had been taught Sport Education participated in this study, who completed the Sport Education Scale. The research instrument used the Sport Education Scale. Data analysis techniques used confirmation factor analysis. Findings and Results: The results of this study confirmed that the Indonesian version of the Sport Education Scale for Higher Education can be used to assess the features of Sport Education in the context of Higher Education. The research in this study refers to it as the “Indonesian version of the Higher Education Sport Education Scale”. Conclusion: The Indonesian version of the Higher Education-Sports Education Scale implemented through the Sports Education curriculum is able to make a positive contribution to the development of Higher Education curriculum in Indonesia, especially those that adopt the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka approach. In line with these findings, future research should focus on further investigation related to the application of the Sports Education Scale at educational levels other than Higher Education in Indonesia. In addition, recommendations for future research may include the development of sports teaching methods that focus on educational values and an increased understanding of the benefits of Sports Education in the context of Higher Education. This helps improve the quality of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background Problems: Responsibility is an important part for students to study at university. In the learning process, students arrive late to take part in learning and do not complete assignments or even do not do them. By using Sport Education (SE) students are given assignments in a role to be responsible for the success of learning. SE has a strong connection to the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum with students as the center of learning. Research Objectives: The aim of this research is to find out the responsibilities of each subscale according to the student's role after using SE and to test the effect of using SE on student responsibilities. Methods: The research method uses experimentation with a one-shot case study design. The participants involved in this research were 53 students at one of the universities in the sports studies program in Indramayu who were taken using convenience sampling techniques. The research instrument used the Contextual Self-Responsibility Questionnaire for sports program students. The data analysis technique uses statistical descriptions to determine the mean and standard deviation and tests hypotheses using the one-sample t test. Finding/Results: This research provides new findings regarding student responsibilities using SE at university level, especially in Indonesia as a support for the MBKM curriculum. Conclusion: This research concludes that there is an influence after using SE on student responsibility. Further investigation is needed regarding the administration of pretests, the existence of comparison classes, and the development of instruments to facilitate all roles according to the characteristics of roles in SE.
