Abstract

Background Problems: At the higher education level, there is no valid and reliable perception instrument about Sport Education. Research Objectives: This study aims to adapt the Sport Education Scale and provide validity and reliability evidence for used in the Indonesian context of higher education. Methods: The research method used survey. A convenient sample of 156 students who had been taught Sport Education participated in this study, who completed the Sport Education Scale. The research instrument used the Sport Education Scale. Data analysis techniques used confirmation factor analysis. Findings and Results: The results of this study confirmed that the Indonesian version of the Sport Education Scale for Higher Education can be used to assess the features of Sport Education in the context of Higher Education. The research in this study refers to it as the “Indonesian version of the Higher Education Sport Education Scale”. Conclusion: The Indonesian version of the Higher Education-Sports Education Scale implemented through the Sports Education curriculum is able to make a positive contribution to the development of Higher Education curriculum in Indonesia, especially those that adopt the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka approach. In line with these findings, future research should focus on further investigation related to the application of the Sports Education Scale at educational levels other than Higher Education in Indonesia. In addition, recommendations for future research may include the development of sports teaching methods that focus on educational values and an increased understanding of the benefits of Sports Education in the context of Higher Education. This helps improve the quality of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background Problems: Responsibility is an important part for students to study at university. In the learning process, students arrive late to take part in learning and do not complete assignments or even do not do them. By using Sport Education (SE) students are given assignments in a role to be responsible for the success of learning. SE has a strong connection to the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum with students as the center of learning. Research Objectives: The aim of this research is to find out the responsibilities of each subscale according to the student's role after using SE and to test the effect of using SE on student responsibilities. Methods: The research method uses experimentation with a one-shot case study design. The participants involved in this research were 53 students at one of the universities in the sports studies program in Indramayu who were taken using convenience sampling techniques. The research instrument used the Contextual Self-Responsibility Questionnaire for sports program students. The data analysis technique uses statistical descriptions to determine the mean and standard deviation and tests hypotheses using the one-sample t test. Finding/Results: This research provides new findings regarding student responsibilities using SE at university level, especially in Indonesia as a support for the MBKM curriculum. Conclusion: This research concludes that there is an influence after using SE on student responsibility. Further investigation is needed regarding the administration of pretests, the existence of comparison classes, and the development of instruments to facilitate all roles according to the characteristics of roles in SE.

Abstract

Keterbatasan sarana dan prasaran pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani sering menjadi masalah klasik dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani yang berakibat materi kebugaran jasmani pada aspek kecepatan reaksi menjadi terabaikan bahkan tidak pernah dilakukan sama sekali dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Dengan menggunakan media pemebelajaran AISIRE dapat mengurangi permasalahan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani pada aspek kecepatan reaksi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini ingin memberikan sosialisasi pembuatan, penggunaan, dan penilaian AISRE untuk mendukung pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani materi kebugaran jasmani pada aspek kecepatan reaksi. Metode dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan refleksi, dan tindak lanjut. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah guru pendidikan jasmani ditingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di wilayah Kabupaten Indramayu dan Kabupaten Cirebon sebanyak 10 orang. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak berupa peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman, pembuatan, penggunaan, dan penilaian pada AISIRE untuk mendukung pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani materi kebugaran jasmani pada aspek kecepatan reaksi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ingin menguji pengaruh SE bulu tangkis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SD tingkat atas, ingin mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar siswa SD tingkat atas setelah menggunakan SE bulu tangkis secara keseluruhan, gender, dan usia, dan ingin mengetahui implementasi SE bulu tangkis yang terjadi di SD tingkat atas. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study. Partisipan di dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 6 SD di salah satu SD di Kabupaten Indramayu sebanyak 20 orang yang diambil menggunakan sampling jenuh dan satu orang guru penjas sebagai participant observation. Instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan angket motivasi belajar dalam pendidikan jasmani siswa SD tingkat atas untuk siswa dan wawancara untuk guru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif mencari rata-rata, simpangan baku, frekuensi, persentase, uji kecenderungan, one-sample t-test, dan deskripsi secara kualitatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat pengaruh SE bulu tangkis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SD tingkat atas, tingkat motivasi belajar siswa SD tingkat atas setelah menggunakan SE bulu tangkis secara keseluruhan cenderung berkategori baik, perbedaan motivasi belajar dari faktor gender dan usia tidak terlihat perbedaan yang berarti, dan implementasi SE bulu tangkis yang terjadi di SD tingkat atas memungkin adanya peran pelatih, pemain, wasit, dan publikasi untuk kesuksesan musim SE bulu tangkis. Sebisa mungkin SE digunakan dalam pembelajaran penjas sebagai pendukung Kurikulum Merdeka. Perlu penelitian lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan SE olahraga lain agar hasil dan temuan yang telah didapat akan lebih tergeneralisasikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Sport Education Model on students' learning motivation at SMP NU Darul Ma’arif Kaplongan. The research design used is a True Experimental Design with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design approach. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique, involving 8th-grade students in the 2019–2020 academic year. In this study, two classes were randomly selected, with one class assigned as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The experimental group received treatment using the Sport Education Model teaching method, while the control group did not receive any specific treatment. The research instrument was a questionnaire used to measure students’ learning motivation. The results showed that students in the control class had lower learning motivation, which was attributed to a lack of interest in the sports being taught and limited basic sports skills. In contrast, students in the experimental class who were taught using the Sport Education Model showed a significant increase in learning motivation. This model allowed students to participate according to their abilities and interests, which ultimately enhanced their enthusiasm and motivation in learning. These findings confirm that the Sport Education Model can be an effective strategy to improve students' learning motivation in physical education through a more personalized and interest-based approach.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of the Direct Instruction (DI) model and demonstration on the learning motivation of elementary school students and to test the differences in the effect of the DI model and demonstration on the learning motivation of elementary school students. The research method uses an experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Participants were 56 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Huda Sukadana. The research instrument used a learning motivation questionnaire in physical education for elementary school students. Data analysis techniques used statistical descriptions, paired sample t-tests, and independent samples t-tests. The results of the study concluded that there was an influence of the DI and demonstration models on the learning motivation of students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and there was a difference in the influence of the DI and demonstration models on the learning motivation of students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah seen from the average difference. Recommendations for teachers or instructors that the selection of a model greatly influences the learning motivation of students in participating in volleyball learning. Thus, students who have high motivation can develop and improve the quality of education itself, especially in volleyball sports.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of swimming activities on the development of balance and motor coordination in early childhood at SDK Marsudirini, Jembrana Regency. The research method used was quasi-experiment with *non-equivalent control group* design. The sample consisted of 42 early childhood students, which were divided into experimental groups (n = 21) and control groups (n = 21). The research instruments were balance and motor coordination tests conducted at pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the paired t-test showed significant improvement in the experimental group in both aspects of balance (pre-test: 12.3 ± 1.8; post-test: 17.8 ± 2.0; p = 0.000) and motor coordination (pre-test: 14.5 ± 2.1; post-test: 19.6 ± 2.4; p = 0.000). In contrast, the control group showed no significant changes in either aspect. The independent t-test also showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-test results of balance (p = 0.000) and coordination (p = 0.000). These findings confirm that swimming activities can significantly improve balance and motor coordination in early childhood, so it can be used as one of the recommended educational approaches in children's physical education programs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the effects between the Jigsaw learning model and the conventional learning model on students’ cooperation and empathy. The research employed an experimental method with an Intact-Group Comparison design. The population of this study consisted of all students of MI PUI Tenajar Lor 1 in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample involved 52 sixth-grade students, divided into an experimental group of 26 students and a control group of 26 students, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through an attitude scale based on the Likert model to measure students’ levels of cooperation and empathy. The findings revealed that the Jigsaw learning model positively influences students’ cooperation and empathy in physical education learning. Furthermore, the study found a significant difference between the Jigsaw learning model and the conventional learning model in their effects on students’ cooperation and empathy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on improving shooting movement skills in football. The research employed an experimental design. The population consisted of 25 students, and the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research findings show that the average pretest score was 4.52, while the average posttest score increased to 8.12. The standard deviation for the pretest was 1.12, and for the posttest was 1.30. The variance values for the pretest and posttest were 1.26 and 1.69, respectively. The normality test results indicate that the pretest data had a significance value of 0.07, which is greater than 0.05, indicating that the data were normally distributed. Similarly, the posttest data obtained a significance value of 0.12, which is also greater than 0.05, confirming normal distribution. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant effect. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Team Games Tournament learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ shooting movement skills in football.

Abstract

Program studi (prodi) bidang olahraga sudah seharusnya memilih strategi pembelajaran yang cocok untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin menguji perbedaan pengaruh antara Sport Education (SE) dan konvensional terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan ekperimen dengan the matching-only posttest-only control group design. Partisipan yang terlibat didalam penelitian ini sebanyak 78 orang mahasiswa disalah satu prodi bidang olahraga di Kabupaten Indramayu sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan SRQ-L untuk mahasiswa olahraga sebanyak 10 item tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi statisik dan independent sample t-test. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara SE dan konvensional terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan SE lebih baik daripada konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil serta temuan penelitian menyatakan bahwa SE memberikan hal yang positif untuk pembelajaran bola voli khususnya pada tingkat PT. Serta sebagai model yang cocok untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan kurikulum MBKM.
