Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari dengan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di SMA Negeri 1 Gido khususnya di kelas XI-IIS 1. Hasil observasi yang diperoleh ialah penggunaan media ajar yang masih tradisional sehingga peserta didik bosan dan tidak termotivasi dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengembangkan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi 3D Pageflip Professional pada materi karya ilmiah dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, (2) mengetahui kelayakan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi 3D Pageflip Professional pada materi karya ilmiah oleh para ahli/validator, (3) mengetahui kepraktisan e-modul pada materi karya ilmiah dengan melakukan tahap uji coba produk, (4) mengetahui efektivas e-modul berdasarkan hasil evaluasi akhir oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil validasi oleh ahli materi adalah pada revisi pertama 69%, dan revisi kedua 94%. Hasil validasi oleh ahli bahasa pada revisi pertama 75% dan revisi kedua 93% Hasil validasi oleh ahli media pada revisi pertama 47% dan revisi kedua 91%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil 73%, dan uji coba lapangan 97%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media e-modul yang telah dikembangkan peneliti dapat dikatakan layak, praktis dan efektif dijadikan sebagai media dan referensi belajar yang dapat digunakan di sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hasil Analisis dampak dari budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Selatan”. Dalam penelitian ini yang merupakan rumusan masalah. “Apakah ada dampak dari budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Selatan?. Sampel dalam penelitian ini karena keterbatasan jumlah populasi diambil seluruh jumlah populasi sebanyak 30 orang. Sedangkan metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif, dimana data yang dikumpulkan diverifikasi, validasi, reliabilitas dan diuji hipotesisnya dengan menggunakan uji t. Pengolahan data distribusi t dengan dk = 30 dan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh ttabel = 1.673. Dengan demikian bahwa thitung>ttabel (6.776>1.697) hasil yang didapatkan dengan melakukan pengujian koefisien determinasi sebesar 56,2 %% pengaruh dampak dari budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Selatan, sedangkan faktor-faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini sebesar 44,8%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis t Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, ada dampak dari budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Selatan.

Abstract

The success of the learning process is closely related to student attraction. Of course, a teacher should find the right media and strategies so that the expected student abilities can be achieved. Especially for vocabulary mastery, students are more likely to be motivated to learn when accompanied by good media. This study aimed to Increase the students' Vocabulary Mastery through WordWall Application at Seventh Grade of UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Alo'oa. So in this study, researchers used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. It has four stages. They are planning, action, observation, and reflection. Instrumets used were observation, fiednotes and documentation. The data were analogized in two forms, namely the first is qualitative data obtained from observation sheets and field notes and the second is quantitative data used to analyze data that can be measured and expressed in numbers. The results showed that in cycle I which consisted of 2 meetings showed that there were 15 students (71.43%) categorized as Poor, 2 students (9.52%) categorized as Fair, and 4 students (19.05%) categorized as Good. Whereas in cycle II which consisted of 2 meetings showed that there were 15 students (71.43%) categorized as Good, and 6 students (28.57%) categorized as Excellent. In cycle I, the average student score was 50.43 while in cycle II there was an increase with an average student score of 85.90. A significant increase in students' mastery of skills between cycle I and cycle II, where the percentage of students in the good and excellent categories increased from 19.05% to 100%, as well as the students' average score increased from 50.43 to 85.90. This shows that the application of interesting media can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes. ABSTRAKKeberhasilan proses pembelajaran sangat erat kaitannya dengan ketertarikan siswa. Tentunya, seorang guru harus mencari media dan strategi yang tepat agar kemampuan siswa yang diharapkan dapat tercapai. Khususnya untuk penguasaan kosakata, siswa akan lebih termotivasi untuk belajar jika disertai dengan media yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Kosakata Siswa melalui Aplikasi WordWall di Kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Alo'oa. Maka dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode ini memiliki empat tahapan. Yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Data yang dianalogikan dalam dua bentuk, yaitu yang pertama adalah data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan dan yang kedua adalah data kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang dapat diukur dan dinyatakan dalam bentuk angka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I yang terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 15 siswa (71,43%) berkategori Kurang, 2 siswa (9,52%) berkategori Cukup, dan 4 siswa (19,05%) berkategori Baik. Sedangkan pada siklus II yang terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 15 siswa (71,43%) berkategori Baik, dan 6 siswa (28,57%) berkategori Baik Sekali. Pada siklus I rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 50,43 sedangkan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan dengan rata-rata nilai siswa 85,90. Terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada penguasaan keterampilan siswa antara siklus I dan siklus II, dimana persentase siswa yang berada pada kategori baik dan baik sekali meningkat dari 19,05% menjadi 100%, begitu juga dengan nilai rata-rata siswa yang meningkat dari 50,43 menjadi 85,90. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media yang menarik dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

To effectively implement an independent curriculum, teachers must excel at engaging classroom management. This research aimed to identify challenges faced by English teachers in managing seventh-grade classes at UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Gunungsitoli and the factors contributing to these difficulties. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to gather data through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student surveys. The data were analyzed to pinpoint specific challenges and their underlying causes. English teachers encountered nine primary classroom management issues, including difficulties in creating conducive learning environments, concluding lessons, managing transitions, and interacting with parents. Teachers also struggled with fostering a positive classroom community and providing effective rewards. Additionally, challenges arose in monitoring student progress, organizing group work, and assessing student performance. Teacher interviews revealed that time constraints, academic priorities, and limited school resources were major factors contributing to these difficulties. This study indicates that time, academic workload, and insufficient school resources significantly hinder English teachers' ability to manage their classrooms effectively within the independent curriculum framework.

Abstract

The performance of school principal in managing human resources involves efforts to develop and utilize the potential of teaching and educational staff effectively to achieve educational goals. This research aimed to analyze the performance of the principal in managing human resources and the principal's efforts in improving the skills of English teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara. The research method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation and structured interviews with the school principal and two teachers. The research results showed that school principal demonstrated good managerial competence in three main aspects: leadership, management of teacher and staff human resources, student management. The principal was success in leading meetings effectively, providing clear direction, and motivating teachers and staff for professional development. In managing human resources, school principal routinely carry out performance assessments, prepared efficient work schedules, and encouraged staff participation in decision making. In the field of student management, the principal was success in managing the admission of new students, placing students according to their abilities, and apart from that, the principal also provided teachers' needs such as books, dictionaries and moreover the principal gives teachers the freedom to increase their potential independently and also implemented MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) as an effort to improve the skills of English teachers. The school principal demonstrated strong leadership, effective human resource management, and successful student management.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using folktales in improving the English speaking skills of students in class VIII of SMPN 1 Gunungsitoli Barat. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved 26 students as the main subjects. The results showed that the integration of folktales in learning had a significant impact on students' pronunciation ability, where 60% of them achieved a good score. Folklore not only improves pronunciation, but also eases the teaching and assessment process, and fosters students' interest in learning. Supporting factors such as the use of varied teaching methods and students' interest in local culture also catalysed the success. Comparative analysis showed that students who were active in folklore-based activities had higher levels of fluency and confidence than the less engaged group. However, the study also identified a number of challenges, such as limited learning time and limited available resources, which require further attention. In conclusion, folklore proved to be an effective learning medium in improving students' English speaking skills. In addition, it made a positive contribution to overall learning, by strengthening students' appreciation of local culture while improving the quality of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Sastra berperan penting dalam menggambarkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan mendalam. Novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu karya Tere Liye menarik perhatian karena perjalanan emosional dan interpersonal para tokohnya, sehingga menawarkan potensi untuk menggali nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Sastra sebagai salah satu bentuk ekspresi berfungsi serupa media vital untuk memberitatukan pesan serta pemikiran pengarang untuk pembaca. Tere Liye yang dikenal dengan karya sastranya yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai humanisme telah mendapat pengakuan internasional sebagai pengarang Indonesia. Novel berfungsi sebagai sumber data utama, dan tema serta kata kunci utama yang terkait dengan humanisme diidentifikasi dan dianalisis. Analisis divalidasi melalui triangulasi dan evaluasi independen untuk memastikan konsistensi dan akurasi. Hasil: Analisis mendalami aspek emosional dan peran tantangan dalam penguatan nilai-nilai humanisme yang tergambar dalam novel. Implikasi: Penelitian ini berperan dalam pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai humanisme dalam karya sastra, khususnya dalam novel Tere Liye, dan memberikan wawasan untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam situasi kehidupan nyata

Abstract

Writing is the important skill that must be master by the students. Writing is also about the skill of a writer to communicate the information to the reader or group of readers. Writing becomes an important aspect in language learning. By writing, the students can share information and ideas in the written text. They can share to each other about what they think and feel about people, ideas, issues, and events in the written text. The students will write their assignments that may be one paragraph or several paragraphs, and they will also write the answers for tests and exams that may be a few sentences, a paragraph or two, or a complete essay in written form. The purpose of the research is to Increase the Students’ Ability in Writing Descriptive Text by Using Picture Strategy at the Eighth Grade of Smp Negeri 1 Gidowhich the total numbers of the students was 20 persons. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. This research was applied into two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments used by the researcher to collect the data were observation sheet, evaluation sheet and field note. In the second meeting of cycle II, the researcher obtained the improvement of students, who achieved the Minimum Competence Criterion (63). there were 2 (10%) students who got score among 85-100 classified as “Very Good”, 6 (30%) students got score among 74-84 classified as “Good”, 12 (60%) no one students who reached the “Less” and no one students who reached the “Fail ”. In Cycle II the average was 83, the highest mark was 100 and the lowest was 63. It implies that the students’ ability in write descriptive text increase in cycle II. ABSTRAKMenulis merupakan keterampilan penting yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Menulis juga merupakan keterampilan seorang penulis untuk mengkomunikasikan informasi kepada pembaca atau sekelompok pembaca. Menulis menjadi aspek penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Dengan menulis, siswa dapat berbagi informasi dan ide dalam teks tertulis. Mereka dapat saling berbagi tentang apa yang mereka pikirkan dan rasakan tentang orang, ide, isu, dan peristiwa dalam teks tertulis. Siswa akan menulis tugas mereka yang mungkin berupa satu paragraf atau beberapa paragraf, dan mereka juga akan menulis jawaban untuk tes dan ujian yang mungkin berupa beberapa kalimat, satu atau dua paragraf, atau esai lengkap dalam bentuk tertulis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Siswa dalam Menulis Teks Deskriptif dengan Menggunakan Strategi Gambar di Kelas VIII Smp Negeri 1 Gido yang jumlah siswanya adalah 20 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini diterapkan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan peneliti untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi, lembar evaluasi dan catatan lapangan. Pada pertemuan kedua siklus II, peneliti memperoleh peningkatan siswa, yang mencapai Kriteria Kompetensi Minimal (63). Ada 2 (10%) siswa yang mendapat nilai antara 85-100 yang tergolong “Sangat Baik”, 6 (30%) siswa mendapat nilai antara 74-84 yang tergolong “Baik”, 12 (60%) tidak ada siswa yang mencapai “Kurang” dan tidak ada siswa yang mencapai “Tidak Lulus”. Pada Siklus II rata-rata adalah 83, nilai tertinggi adalah 100 dan terendah adalah 63. Ini menyiratkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks deskriptif meningkat pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research examines gender equality and social inclusion in the participation of class X students during English learning at SMK Negeri 1 Tuhemberua for the 2024/2025 academic year. The primary goal of this research is to assess how gender roles and social dynamics in the classroom environment influence student participation and engagement. This research used a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, including classroom observations, surveys, and interviews with students.This analysis focuses on identifying participation patterns that may indicate gender bias or social exclusion. This analysis also explores barriers that prevent equal participation among students, such as cultural expectations, stereotypes, and differential treatment by educators. Additionally, this study evaluates the effectiveness of current pedagogical practices in fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports male and female students equally, regardless ofFindings from this research reveal a significant gap in participation rates between male and female students, with girls often facing greater barriers due to societal norms and expectations. This study also highlights the need for teachers to adopt more inclusive teaching strategies that actively promote gender equality and social inclusion. These findings underscore the importance of continued efforts to close the gender gap and create a more equitable educational experience for all students. It is hoped that the results of this research will inform the development of targeted interventions and policies aimed at improving gender equality. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengkaji kesetaraan gender dan inklusi sosial terhadap partisipasi siswa kelas X pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di SMK Negeri 1 Tuhemberua tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai bagaimana peran gender dan dinamika sosial di lingkungan kelas mempengaruhi partisipasi dan keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yang menggabungkan teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, termasuk observasi kelas, survei, dan wawancara dengan siswa. Analisis ini berfokus pada mengidentifikasi pola partisipasi yang mungkin mengindikasikan bias gender atau eksklusi sosial. Analisis ini juga mengeksplorasi hambatan yang menghambat partisipasi setara di kalangan siswa, seperti ekspektasi budaya, stereotip, dan perlakuan berbeda dari pendidik. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas praktik pedagogi saat ini dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran inklusif yang mendukung siswa laki-laki dan perempuan secara setara, terlepas dari Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan yang signifikan dalam tingkat partisipasi antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, dimana anak perempuan seringkali menghadapi hambatan yang lebih besar karena dengan norma dan harapan masyarakat. Studi ini juga menyoroti perlunya guru untuk mengadopsi strategi pengajaran yang lebih inklusif yang secara aktif mempromosikan kesetaraan gender dan inklusi sosial. Temuan-temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya upaya berkelanjutan untuk menutup kesenjangan gender dan menciptakan pengalaman pendidikan yang lebih adil bagi semua siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan bagi pengembangan intervensi dan kebijakan yang ditargetkan untuk meningkatkan kesetaraan gender.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze classroom management applied in the process of teaching speaking skills in English classes. Classroom management is an essential aspect that influences the effectiveness of learning, especially in speaking skills, which require active interaction between teachers and students. This study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interview, and documentation methods involving English teachers and students at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli. The focus of the analysis includes classroom management strategies used by teachers to create a conducive learning environment, time management techniques, the arrangement of student interactions, and the handling of disturbances during speaking lessons. The findings reveal that teachers use a combination of classroom management techniques such as grouping students for discussions, providing clear instructions, and giving positive reinforcement to motivate learners. However, challenges remain in controlling distractions and maintaining students’ focus during speaking activities. This research recommends the need for specific training for teachers in effective and adaptive classroom management strategies to ensure that the teaching of speaking skills runs more optimally and results in maximum learning outcomes.
