Abstract

Feeding requires precise timing and adequate nutrition. Some research on feeding fails to consider the timing and spacing of feed distributions, resulting in uneven fish nutrition, leading to decreased fish quality and reduced market value, resulting in losses for farmers.Based on these issues, an automatic fish feeder model was designed using an ESP8266 microcontroller and the Internet of Things (IoT) application, allowing feeding times to be controlled via an app and an on/off button. A blower pump acts as a pusher and ejector for fish food, reaching a distance of up to 5 meters. The research employed R&D methods aimed at assisting fish farmers in feeding. Test results showed a 100% success rate, demonstrating the device's ability to schedule and administer feeds through buttons and the app. Remaining feed is detected by an ultrasonic sensor, with an LED indicator that illuminates according to the remaining feed parameters. Consistent and nutritionally adequate fish feeding improves fish quality, leading to a high market value and profitability for farmers.Keyword: Tool Model; Automatic Feeder; ESP8266 Microcontroller AbstrakPemberian pakan memerlukan ketepatan waktu dan kecukupan nutrisi. Beberapa penelitian tentang pemberian pakan tidak memperhitungkan waktu dan jarak tabur pakan menyebabkan nutrisi ikan tidak merata menyebabkan turunnya kualitas ikan dan nilai jual ikan yang mengakibatkan kerugian pada Peternak. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, dirancanglah Model Alat Pemberi Pakan Ikan Otomatis dengan Mikrokontroler ESP8266 dan penerapan internet of things sehingga waktu pemberian pakan dapat dikontrol melalui aplikasi dan tombol on/off pada alat. Blower pump sebagai pendorong dan pelontar pakan ikan yang menjangkau hingga jarak 5 meter. Penelitian menggunakan metode R&D yang bertujuan membantu peternak ikan dalam pemberian pakan. Hasil pengujian dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100%, alat dapat menjalankan fungsi penjadwalan dan pemberian pakan melalui tombol dan aplikasi.  Sisa pakan dideteksi oleh sensor ultrasonik dengan indikator lampu led yang menyala sesuai paramater sisa pakan. Pemberian pakan ikan yang konsisten dan cukup nutrisi akan meningkatkan kulitas ikan sehingga nilai jual bagus dan menguntungkan Peternak.

Abstract

Background: Primary dysmenorrhea is one of the most common gynecological problems experienced by women of reproductive age, characterized by spasmodic cramps and lower abdominal pain without pathological abnormalities. This condition negatively affects academic activities, productivity, and quality of life. Pelvic rocking exercise, a simple movement using a gym ball, has been suggested to improve uterine blood flow, reduce uterine muscle contractions, and stimulate endorphin release to decrease pain intensity. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of pelvic rocking exercise on primary dysmenorrhea among undergraduate midwifery students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted involving 18 first-year midwifery students experiencing primary dysmenorrhea, selected using accidental sampling. Pain intensity was measured before and after a 15-minute pelvic rocking exercise session and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The mean pain intensity before the intervention was 5.77 (moderate category), which decreased to 2.44 (mild category) after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant reduction in pain intensity. Conclusion: Pelvic rocking exercise was proven effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhea among midwifery students. It can therefore be recommended as a non-pharmacological intervention in managing menstrual pain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan fungsi sosial Tongkonan bagi masyarakat di Desa Lembang Buntu La’bo’ dalam kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat Toraja yang kaitannya berkenaan dengan pengembangan budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara dan teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa fungsi sosial Tongkonan bagi Masyarakat Toraja sebagai alat pemersatu rumpun keluarga dalam segala kegiatan apa pun, peran Tongkonan dapat dilihat dari acara yang dilakukan dalam suatu Tongkonan. Kita melihat partisipasi yang sangat kuat dari rumpun keluarga. Dasar persekutuan orang Toraja adalah darah daging atau rara buku, yang dapat disimbolkan dengan Tongkonan. Tongkonan menjadi perkumpulan secara marga maupun masyarakat. Tongkonan sebagai lambang kebesaran bagi rumpun keluarga, tidak ada Tongkonan jika tidak ada keluarga. Tongkonan berasal dari nenek moyang yang mempertahankan dan kita yang melanjutkannya, meski dalam Tongkonan sudah ada campuran keturunan suku luar seperti dari suku Bugis karena pernikahan antara suku Toraja dengan suku Bugis. Meski demikian, Tongkonan tetap menjadi pemersatu yang kuat untuk keluarga. Apabila mempelajari letak dan upacara-upacara yang dilaksanakan, melalui simbol-simbolnya akan diketahui bahwa Tongkonan adalah simbol alam raya. Oleh karena itu, orang Toraja sangat meng-sakral-kan Tongkonan.

Abstract

This research is expected to provide information about the use of the training method in increasing spiritual intelligence as well as to add to the data that the use of the training method in increasing spiritual intelligence is explained in a pleasant way and by giving examples. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The findings of this study indicate that spiritual intelligence training activities can increase spiritual intelligence in students of the Sociology Education study program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Manado State University. The existence of training allows children to know what spiritual intelligence is, as well as anything that includes spiritual intelligence..

Abstract

The emergence of COVID-19 has created unprecedented challenges for the world. In Indonesia, the coronavirus has infected more than four million people since the first confirmed case in March 2020 and hundreds of thousands of people have died. The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated economic development and the continued development of human resources, especially education. To break the chain of transmission of COVID-19, more than 120 countries have imposed social distancing restrictions through school closures which impacted 1.6 billion students worldwide. In Indonesia, the government closed all schools and instruct online learning schools as an alternative solution so that the teaching and learning process continues. Parents play an important role in the running of online learning. Positive parental perceptions of online learning have implications for parental support to directly supervise their children's learning. However, technical constraints such as lack of information communication technology infrastructure such as smartphones and internet connections. In addition, the educational background of parents also affects the motivation of parents to be more active in supporting their children's online learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kurikulum Merdeka telah menjadi pusat perhatian dalam upaya reformasi pendidikan di Indonesia. Kurikulum ini dirancang untuk memberikan kemerdekaan yang lebih besar kepada guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan konteks lokal. Namun, pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka juga menimbulkan sejumlah tantangan bagi guru. Artikel ini menyajikan hasil dari kegiatan program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana penguatan kompetensi guru dapat membantu mereka mengatasi tantangan yang muncul dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan fokus pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS), khususnya sosiologi. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan 25 orang guru IPS yang berada di Kabupaten Minahasa. Kegiatan pelatihan ini mengungkap sejumlah tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam menghadapi Kurikulum Merdeka, seperti kebutuhan akan sumber daya yang lebih banyak, penyesuaian kurikulum yang lebih luas, dan perubahan paradigma dalam pengajaran. Melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan kompetensi, guru dapat memperoleh keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang diperlukan untuk mengatasi tantangan ini. Pelatihan ini juga memungkinkan guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, relevan, dan berorientasi pada siswa. Pentingnya penguatan kompetensi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan Kurikulum Merdeka. Dengan pelatihan yang tepat, guru dapat lebih siap untuk mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran IPS: Sosiologi. Kata Kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Sosiologi, Penguatan Kompetensi Guru, Reformasi Pendidikan.  ABSTRACT The Merdeka Curriculum has taken centre stage in Indonesia's education reform efforts. The curriculum is designed to give teachers greater independence in designing learning that suits local needs and contexts. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum also poses a number of challenges for teachers. This article presents the results of a training programme activity that aims to understand how strengthening teachers' competencies can help them overcome the challenges that arise in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, with a focus on Social Science (IPS) subjects, particularly sociology. Through training and mentoring activities with 25 social studies teachers in Minahasa Regency. This training activity revealed a number of challenges that teachers face in dealing with the Merdeka Curriculum, such as the need for more resources, broader curriculum adjustments, and paradigm shifts in teaching. Through training and competency development, teachers can gain the necessary skills and knowledge to overcome these challenges. This training also enables teachers to create more contextualised, relevant and student-centred learning. The importance of strengthening teacher competencies in facing the challenges of the Merdeka Curriculum. Abstract

Social skills play a central role in shaping individuals who are able to adapt and contribute to society. This article analyzes the comparative social studies curriculum in Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway and Sweden), focusing on how students’ social skills are developed through their approach to learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with an emphasis on document analysis and uses a horizontal descriptive approach in the context of comparative education. The results of the comparison found that Denmark emphasizes the integration of social skills in practical learning and research projects, Norway through an integrated approach with its contemporary issues while Sweden applies innovation through technology and community involvement. The comparison between the three countries revealed similarities, differences, as well as challenges and successes in the development of students’ social skills. The conclusions of this analysis provide a foundation for recommending best practices and improvements in social studies curriculum, which can be applied globally to enhance students’ social skills development in this modern era.

Abstract

The Kasepuhan Cirebon Palace is one of the historical sites that still stand in Cirebon City and reflect the local community's cultural heritage, including ethnomathematical practices embedded in daily life. This study aims to analyse the ethnomathematical aspects of the Kasepuhan Palace as a source of contextual mathematics learning. This qualitative research employed an ethnographic approach and was conducted in the Pekalipan area of Cirebon City. The data were collected from a building complex (Keraton Kasepuhan), and one informant was selected based on their role as cultural custodians (Abdi Dalem). Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings suggest that the architectural structure, floor patterns, and carved ornaments of the Kasepuhan Palace incorporate various mathematical concepts, including geometry, angles, symmetry, and measurement. These concepts appear in the spatial layout, pillar arrangement, and shapes such as rectangles, triangles, cuboids, limas, and tubes. The study suggests that incorporating the ethnomathematical elements of the Kasepuhan Palace into mathematics learning can enhance students’ understanding of geometric concepts while fostering their appreciation for local cultural wisdom. However, this study is limited to one palace complex and a small number of informants; future research could expand to other historical sites or compare multiple palaces to enrich the ethnomathematical analysis.
