Abstract

Health problems characterized by an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, where ≥140 mmHg for systolic blood pressure and ≥ 90 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure after repeated examinations, are called hypertension. The number of people with hypertension at the Sedati Health Center according to the results of the preliminary study has increased to 28,624 patients in 2021. Most of the people with hypertension are residents of Pabean Village, as many as 5,675 people. The implementation of this research aims to analyze individuals who experience hypertension in the age range of 40-60 years in Pabean Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency in terms of physical activity, smoking behavior, nutritional status, sodium levels and macronutrient intake which includes fat, protein and carbohydrates. The implementation of this research is descriptive-quantitative type by implementing a cross-sectional design model. Furthermore, the sample selection method applied a purposive sampling method with the Slovin equation at a 10% significance level and 100 respondents were obtained as samples. Furthermore, the method used in collecting data is a questionnaire, where data related to intake of macronutrients and sodium is obtained from the results of the SQ-FFQ (Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire), the results of measuring weight and height to obtain data on nutritional status, questionnaires smoking habits, and the Baecke Questionnaire to obtain physical activity data. the data analysis model uses univariate analysis. Based on the test results, 73% of respondents had a deficit level of carbohydrate intake, 60% of respondents had a deficit level of protein intake, 56% of respondents had an excess level of fat intake, 81% of respondents had an excess level sodium intake, 51% of respondents had an obesity nutritional status, 21% of respondents were included in the category moderate smoking habits, and respondents who fall into the heavy physical activity category is 62%.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder in children caused by suboptimal nutritional status or repeated infections. Based on the results of the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey, the prevalence of stunted toddlers nationally reached 21.6%. Meanwhile, the stunting rate among toddlers in East Java province reached 19.2%. Noted as an area with a fairly high prevalence of stunting under five in East Java is Sumenep Regency, namely 21.6%. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge, parenting patterns, and sanitation hygiene with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Padangdangan Village, Pasongsongan District, Sumenep Regency. This research is a correlational quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The sample in this study was 66 respondents taken using the purposive random sampling method. Data were collected using nutritional knowledge tests and food parenting questionnaires as well as sanitation hygiene questionnaires. Data analysis using the Chi Square test (α=0.05). The results show that in the level of knowledge category, mothers with good knowledge, all toddlers do not experience stunting (47%), mothers with sufficient knowledge have as many toddlers as stunting (7.5%). Moreover, among mothers with insufficient knowledge, the majority of toddlers experienced stunting (24.2%). In the category of inappropriate maternal eating patterns (28.8%) toddlers experienced stunting. Aside from that, based on sanitary hygiene conditions in the category of poor sanitary hygiene conditions (25.8%) toddlers experience stunting. There is a significant relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge (p= 0.000), parenting patterns (p= 0.000), and sanitation hygiene (p= 0.000) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Padangdangan Village, Pasongsongan District, Sumenep Regency   ABSTRAK Stunting  merupakan gangguan tumbuh kembang pada anak yang disebabkan oleh keadaan status gizi yang tidak optimal atau infeksi secara berulang. Berdasarkan hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia tahun 2022 prevalensi balita stunting secara nasional mencapai angka 21,6%. Sedangkan angka stunting  pada balita di provinsi Jawa Timur mencapai angka 19,2%. Tercatat sebagai wilayah dengan prevalensi balita stunting cukup tinggi di Jawa Timur adalah Kabupaten Sumenep yaitu 21,6%. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu, pola asuh makan, dan hygiene sanitasi dengan kejadian stunting pada balita di Desa Padangdangan, Kecamatan Pasongsongan, Kabupaten Sumenep. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 66 responden yang diambil dengan metode purposive random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pengetahuan gizi dan kuesioner pola asuh makan serta kuesioner hygiene sanitasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square (α=0,05). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dalam kategori tingkat pengetahuan, ibu dengan pengetahuan yang baik, keseluruhan balita tidak mengalami stunting (47%), ibu dengan pengetahuan cukup memiliki balita stunting sebanyak (7,5%). Sedangkan pada ibu dengan pengetahuan yang kurang sebagian besar balita mengalami stunting (24,2%). Kategori pola asuh makan ibu yang tidak tepat (28,8%) balita mengalami stunting. Selain itu berdasarkan kondisi hygiene sanitasi dengan kategori kondisi hygiene sanitasi yang tidak baik (25,8%) balita mengalami stunting. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan gizi ibu (p= 0,000), pola asuh makan (p= 0,000), dan higiene sanitasi (p= 0,000) dengan kejadian stunting pada balita di Desa Padangdangan, Kecamatan Pasongsongan, Kabupaten Sumenep

Abstract

Minimum service standards are about the quality of basic services which are an obligatory matter for the region that every citizen has the right to obtain at a minimum. So each hospital can implement and fulfill services in accordance with the minimum service standards that have been set. Nutrition services in hospitals can be said to be of quality if they have met 3 indicators related to minimum standards of service in nutrition services, where these are accuracy of food distribution (≥ 90%), accuracy of diet (100%), food waste (≤ 20%) (Ministry of Health , 2008). This study aims to determine the timeliness of food distribution to patients, determine the accuracy of the type of diet to patients and food waste to patients in the Asoka ward of Syarifah Ambami Rato Ebu Regional Hospital. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a cross sectional research design. This research was conducted in November at Syarifah Ambami Rato Ebu Bangkalan Regional Hospital. The subjects in this study were 169 inpatients in the Asoka room for 10 days. The data collection technique was carried out using the observation method. Observations consist of data on the timeliness of food distribution, data on the accuracy of the diet and data on patient food waste. The data analysis technique used is univariate. The results of the research stated that the average results for the timeliness of food distribution were 74%, the accuracy of the type of diet was 100% and the food waste was 27%. Thus, it can be interpreted that the indicator of timeliness of distribution of food and food waste has not yet reached the SPM success indicator, while the accuracy of the type of diet has reached the SPM success indicator.

Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia kaya akan sumber daya alam yang melimpah, termasuk jenis tanaman herbal yang memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan, seperti jahe, temulawak, kunyit, kencur, dan lainnya. Banyak orang memanfaatkan tanaman ini menjadi jamu, salah satunya seperti Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Mawar dan Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Bukit Lestari yang terletak di kecamatan ganding kabupaten Sumenep yang selanjutnya menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan ini dengan jumlah total 60 anggota. Kedua mitra ini telah merintis usaha sejak tahun 2019, namun ketidakseimbangan antara penawaran dan permintaan di pasar menjadikan usaha ini terbatas. Pengolahan yang dilakukan secara sederhana juga berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya produktivitas jamu yang dihasilkan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat program Kosabangsa, tim mengajak kedua kelompok ini untuk bermitra dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Melalui pembimbingan dari tim pembimbing, tim pelaksana kegiatan kosabangsa melakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman diukur melalui pemberian pretest-postest dan keterampilan mitra serta penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang dimiliki tim pendamping diukur dengan mengisi checklist dan observasi langsung. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan oleh tim pelaksana beserta tim pendamping telah terlaksana dengan baik, mendapat dukungan penuh dari mitra. Hasil kegiatan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam menerapkan teknologi selama proses pembuatan jamu sebesar 88,89% dan inovasi produk jamu cair sebesar 88,6%, serta peningkatan produktivitas jamu sebesar 80%. Kegiatan keberlanjutan dapat berupa pendampingan pengajuan izin edar BPOM dan pengembangan produk sesuai dengan iklim usaha bidang pangan yang dinamis.Abstract: Indonesia is rich in abundant natural resources, including types of herbal plants that have many health benefits, such as ginger, turmeric, galangal, and others. Many people use this plant as herbal medicine, one of which is the Mawar,s Farming Group (KWT) and Bukit Lestari’s Farming Group (KTH) which are located in Ganding Sub-district, Sumenep district which later became partners in this activity with 60 members. These two partners have been starting a business since 2019, but the imbalance between supply and demand in the market means this business is limited. Simple processing also contributes to the low productivity of the herbal medicine produced. Through community service activities for the Kosabangsa program, the team invites these two groups to partner and solve the problems being faced by parnerts. Through guidance from the supervisory team, the Kosabangsa activity implementation team carries out training and mentoring activities to improve partners’ understanding, measured through administering a pretest-posttest, and skills as well as the application of appropriate technology owned by the accompanying team, measured by filling in a checklist and direct observation. Training and mentoring activities by implementing team and accompanying team have been carried out well, receiving full support from partners. The results oh the activity can increase partners’ knowledge and skills in applying technology during the herbal medicine manufacturing process by 88,89% and liquid herbal medicine productivity by 80%. Sustainability activities can take the form assistance in applying for BPOM distribution permits and product development in accordance with the dynamic business climate in the food sector.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems in elementary school-aged children are still high in Indonesia, mostly caused by unhealthy eating patterns, such as consuming packaged sweet drinks. Objective: To analyze the relationship between the frequency of consumption of packaged sweet drinks and the nutritional status of grade 5 and 6 students at SDN Jagir Surabaya. Method: The research used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 40 students selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through FFQ interviews and BMI/U measurements. Results: There was no significant relationship between consumption of packaged snacks and nutritional status (p > 0.05), but there was a significant relationship between consumption of packaged sweet drinks and nutritional status (p = 0.014, r = 0.373). Conclusion: Excessive consumption of packaged sugary drinks can affect students' nutritional status, especially increasing the risk of obesity. Implications: It is important to educate students and parents about healthy eating patterns.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan perempuan melalui pengembangan keterampilan merupakan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi dan kontribusi sosial. Program pelatihan Hair Cool Therapy dirancang untuk memberdayakan pengusaha salon perempuan di Kabupaten Kediri. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 14 peserta dengan pendekatan ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada nilai rata-rata posttest dibandingkan pretest, yaitu dari 52,86 menjadi 84,29, dengan selisih rata-rata 31,43. Uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dengan nilai t hitung sebesar -15,786 dan p-value sebesar 0,000. Interval kepercayaan 95% (-35,73 hingga -27,13) mengindikasikan hasil yang konsisten dan andal. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan Hair Cool Therapy efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan peserta, memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemandirian ekonomi, dan mendukung pemberdayaan perempuan. Pengembangan program serupa di masa depan dapat dilakukan dengan memperluas cakupan peserta dan menambahkan aspek kewirausahaan untuk dampak yang lebih luas.

Abstract

The purpose of the Food Service program is to increase public awareness of the problems of Social Welfare Problem Inviters (PMKS). Food quality greatly influences the food service process. This activity aims to meet the nutritional needs of the elderly served by the institution. In the context of traveling abroad, the quality of a food, including taste, aroma, consistency, crispness, appearance, level of maturity, and menu variety, is always related to high food waste and low levels of satisfaction. This study aims to determine the average food waste, level of satisfaction with food quality, and the relationship between food waste and the level of satisfaction with food quality in the food program in Dukuh Menanggal Village. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach, with respondents all elderly recipients of the food program. During data collection, there were 40 elderly respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure respondent satisfaction with food quality and the Visual Comstock method to measure food quality. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test. The study findings showed that while 19.78% of respondents said they had food waste, 71.32 percent said they were concerned about the quality of the food served. Even when the satisfaction level was quite high, the analysis results showed a significant relationship between food waste and satisfaction level regarding food quality (p = 0.002). This study provides important insights for institutions to improve the efficiency and quality of food programs.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women can affect fetal growth and development and cause anemia during pregnancy. Anemia can be characterized by hemoglobin concentration lower than a normal boundary. This study investigates the correlation between the adequacy of protein, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B12, and folic acid intake and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Ngoro Health Center.Research Methods: The research is analytically observational, using a cross-sectional design. The study subjects were 52 pregnant women using a purposive sampling technique. Anemia in pregnant women was obtained from the results of hemoglobin level checks recorded in the Antenatal Care (ANC) visit logbook. Meanwhile, the adequacy of protein, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B12, and folic acid intake was obtained from interviews using the Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) form. The statistical correlation between categorical variables was analyzed using the chi-square test.Research Result: The study found that out of 52 pregnant women, it was known that the pregnant women's adequacy level of intake for protein (65.4%) was classified as less, vitamin C (94.2%) was classified as good, vitamin A (98.1%) was classified as good, vitamin B12 (69.2%) was classified as good, and folic acid (76.9%) was classified as good. Statistical test results showed that the adequacy of protein intake (p 0.001), vitamin B12 (p 0.035), and folic acid (p 0.021) correlates with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.Conclusion: Based on this study, there is a significant correlation between the adequacy of protein, vitamin B12, and folic acid intake, but no correlation between the adequacy of vitamin C and vitamin A intake with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of Ngoro Health Center, Mojokerto Regency. Pregnant women are expected to pay more attention to their nutrition intake during pregnancy.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sidoarjo Barat merupakan institusi penyedia pelayanan kesehatan, salah satunya pelayanan gizi. Pelayanan gizi yang diberikan oleh Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sidoarjo Barat mencakup pelayanan makanan pasien sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi pasien tersebut. Pelayanan gizi mempengaruhi kepuasan pasien dan diberikan secara minimal sesuai Standar Pelayanan Minimal Instalasi Gizi. Standar Pelayanan Minimal Instalasi Gizi terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu ketepatan diet (100%), ketepatan waktu distribusi makanan (≥90%), dan sisa makanan (≤20%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketepatan diet, mendeskripsikan ketepatan waktu distribusi makanan, mengetahui sisa makanan, dan mendeskripsikan kepuasan pelayanan makanan pasien di ruang perawatan uranus RSUD Sidoarjo Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Metode penentuan responden adalah total sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, sehingga didapatkan 43 responden. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pengamatan dan wawancara selama 10 hari pada bulan Agustus 2024. Data ketepatan diet, ketepatan waktu distribusi, dan sisa makanan dikumpulkan melalui observasi. Sedangkan, wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data kepuasan pelayanan makanan pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil rata-rata ketepatan diet 100%; ketepatan waktu distribusi makanan sebesar 74,7%; dan sisa makanan pasien sebesar 22%. Sedangkan, hasil wawancara kepuasan pelayanan makanan pasien menunjukkan 79,1% puas dan 20,9% sangat puas. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis tersebut adalah pelaksanaan Standar Pelayanan Minimal Instalasi Gizi di ruang perawatan uranus Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sidoarjo Barat belum memenuhi Standar Pelayanan Minimal Instalasi Gizi yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, kecuali pada indicator ketepatan diet. Sedangkan, rata-rata pasien puas pada pelayanan makanan rumah sakit.

Abstract

Pelayanan gizi yang ada di rumah sakit mempunyai upaya dalam peningkatan kualitas layanan rumah sakit dengan tersedianya pelayanan gizi yang tepat dan terpadu bekerja sama dengan layanan kesehatan lain. Proses pelayanan makanan di instalasi gizi memiliki tujuan untuk dapat mempercepat penyembuhan pada pasien, menyediakan makanan yang bergizi untuk pasien, serta dapat memberikan contoh makanan bergizi dan sehat untuk dikonsumsi pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran dari Standar Pelayanan Minimal yaitu ketepatan diet, ketepatan waktu ditribusi makanan, dan sisa makanan serta tingkat kepuasan pasien di ruang rawat inap Edelweis di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara H.S. Samsoeri Mertojoso Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan total 66 responden. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 1 siklus menu atau 10 hari. Dalam penelitian ini pasien dengan kriteria diberikan diet makanan biasa dan diet khusus dengan kategori usia 18-65 tahun. Karakteristik pasien berdasarkan jenis kelamin yaitu laki-laki sebanyak 27 orang (40,9%) dan perempuan sebanyak 39 orang (59,1%). Rata-rata ketepatan diet yaitu 100%. Skor tersebut telah memenuhi standar pelayanan minimal ketepatan diet berdasarkan kemenkes yaitu 100%. Rata-rata ketepatan waktu distribusi makanan adalah 64,05%. Skor tersebut belum memenuhi standar pelayanan minimal ketepatan diet berdasarkan kemenkes yaitu ≥ 90%. Rata-rata sisa makanan pada penelitian ini sebesar 14,3%. Skor tersebut sudah memenuhi standar minimal sisa makanan pasien berdasarkan kemenkes yaitu ≤ 20%. Hasil dari tingkat kepuasan pasien menunjukkan sebanyak 79,,41% pasien menyatakan puas terhadap pelayanan makanan yang diberikan oleh rumah sakit. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Standar Pelayanan Minimal pada ketepatan waktu distribusi makanan belum memenuhi standar yang ditentukan sedangkan pada ketepatan diet dan sisa makanan sudah memenuhi standar yang ditentukan.
