Abstract

The 2021 destruction of an Ahmadiyya place of worship in Balai Harapan Village, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, represents a vivid example of ongoing religious conflict in Indonesia. This conflict reflects not only interfaith tensions but also leaves deep psychosocial impacts, particularly on children living near the site. This study aims to describe the conflict narrative, analyze religious moderation practices as a resolution strategy, and identify the psychological impact on children as indirect victims of conflict. Using a qualitative approach with a narrative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The findings reveal that local religious moderation practices successfully reduced tensions temporarily, but failed to address the structural roots of the conflict. Affected children exhibited mild to moderate trauma symptoms without receiving professional intervention. This study underscores the urgency of integrating religious moderation with child protection policies in the context of religious-based conflicts.

Abstract

This article discusses innovative learning models within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, including Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), Discovery Learning, and Differentiated Learning. The research aims to explore the application of each model in enhancing student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. The PBL model emphasizes real-world problem-solving, encouraging students to think critically and creatively. PjBL offers students opportunities to engage in relevant projects, fostering collaborative and managerial skills. Discovery Learning focuses on exploration and discovery, allowing students to understand concepts through hands-on experiences. Meanwhile, Differentiated Learning adapts teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, creating an inclusive learning environment. Analysis results indicate that the implementation of these models significantly enhances 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Furthermore, these models have been shown to reduce student boredom and increase active participation in the learning process. These findings underscore the importance of integrating innovative learning models within the Merdeka Curriculum to support more effective and enjoyable learning experiences. This article is intended to serve as a reference for educators in effectively implementing these models in the classroom, as well as providing insights for curriculum developers in designing learning strategies that are more responsive to the needs of students in the modern era.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of computer-based information systems today has been understood by most companies in order to survive and succeed well. The transaction processing system (TPS) is a computerized system that runs and records daily routine business transactions that serve the operational level in the company. Information systems of purchase, inventory, sales are part of the TPS widely used by companies. The problem here is how to ensure that the system is connected to the organization's business plan and information requirements, where often a system that is built is not in accordance with the wishes of the user. Meanwhile, manual information systems can cause problems such as data redundancy, inconsistent data, irregular recording, miscalculations, difficulty in finding data and delays in presenting reports. To build the information system, the Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST) method will be used with a Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach that uses selected prototype features. The solution is expected to build an information system that can bring together user requirements and help companies process purchase, inventory and sales data in an integrated manner, so as to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of retail data processing.

Abstract

Having an appropriate organizational structure is crucial to improving the overall process of monitoring and optimizing productive resources. One way to achieve this is by enhancing oversight through the establishment of good corporate governance. Corporate governance aims to maintain balance, strengthen control systems to protect shareholders’ interests, and meet the expectations of other stakeholders. In essence, corporate governance is intended to increase the company's value by achieving specific targets projected each year. The objective of this research is to determine the role of corporate governance in achieving financial targets to enhance company value. A quantitative method is employed to describe the relationships in the study, using EViews 10 software for analysis. The sample consists of companies in the food and beverage sector over a three-year period from 2021 to 2023.This model adopts the fraud triangle theory, focusing on the pressure of financial targets. The underlying reason is that financial targets exert pressure on management to achieve them. Failure to meet these targets can result in negative market sentiment towards the company, and vice versa. While most studies use profitability and financial performance as mediating models, this approach—focusing on financial target pressure—has been less explored. Therefore, the researcher is interested in using this approach, as no previous studies have applied this mediation model.

Turning metrics into reputation: Islamic green economy practices in sharia hotels Kurniawan, Heri

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic Green Economy principles are put into practice in sharia-compliant hotels in Yogyakarta, using a penta-helix lens that brings together government, business actors, academics, media, and the community. A thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews identifies five interconnected domains: policy support and incentive gaps; operational readiness and capacity building; sharia–green alignment and assurance; market pull and reputation; and community–media engagement. While government initiatives exist (training, fiscal facilitation, and public campaigns), hotels still face unclear access pathways, limited technical know-how, and high upfront costs. Progress tends to accelerate when hotels start with low-cost operational improvements, establish baseline indicators for energy, water, and waste, and institutionalize staff training. To make sustainability claims verifiable, the study proposes a simple early-stage set of key performance indicators and a logic model linking inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts. The analysis concludes that performance-based incentives, routine audits, and data-driven communication must move in tandem so operational gains translate into reputation and market preference, while safeguarding sharia values and environmental stewardship.

Abstract

This study explores university students' perceptions of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in evaluating discussion activities within Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey, data were collected from 112 undergraduate students who had participated in AI-assisted discussion forums across four MOOCs. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze students' perceptions of MOOCs and AI-assisted evaluation, followed by inferential tests to examine differences across demographic variables. Findings indicate that students hold generally positive perceptions of MOOCs, particularly regarding their flexibility, ease of use, and structured learning design. Students also evaluated discussion forums as relevant, understandable, and motivating. Although students showed moderate acceptance of AI involvement in evaluation, ethical concerns remained evident. Inferential analysis showed no significant differences in perceptions across most demographic variables, with the exception of employment status, which influenced perceptions of AI-assisted evaluation. The study highlights the need for ethical, transparent, and pedagogically aligned implementation of AI in online learning assessment
