Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of company diversification on cash holding in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. The research method used in this research is a quantitative approach, with the population used in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2015 and 2019. The sample is manufacturing companies listed on the IDX in 2015-2019, obtained 29 samples with 5 years of observations totalling 145 observations. The results showed that company diversification affects cash holding. Therefore, company management can consider the effect of dividend payments in determining the company's cash-holding policy. However, keep in mind that the right cash holding policy must also consider other factors such as investment policy, funding policy, and company risk.

Abstract

Dari beberapa sumber energi terbarukan energi matahari adalah salah satu sumber energi yang tidak akan habis, sampai saat ini banyak penelitian yang berkembang untuk merancang alat yang dapat merubah energi matahari menjadi energi Listrik. Kegiatan studi perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dirancang untuk memenuhi alat praktikum dan penunjang wawasan sebagai bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa di Universitas Pembangunan Pancabudi khususnya mahasiswa teknik elektro. Studi perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya diharapkan mampu mengukur kerja panel saat dirangkai seri maupun paralel dan mampu mengukur pengaruh orientasi dan sudut kemiringan panel terhadap datangnya arah sinar matahari. Selain dari itu studi perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya berfokus untuk menambah wawasan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan energi panas matahari menjadi energi listrik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui, merancang, dan menganalisis kesediaan energi matahari sebagai salah satu alternatif solusi untuk penunjang pembelajaran. Studi perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dirancang dengan panel surya berkapasitas 50 WP, solar charge controller yang dipakai dapat bekerja pada sistem 12/24 VDC dengan arus maksimum 20 Ampere, inverter beroperasi pada sistem 12 VDC, selanjutnya baterai yang digunakan mempunyai kapasitas 12 VDC 100 Ah. Adapun tahapan yang ingin dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian adalah dimulai dengan tinjauan Pustaka, identifikasi masalah, perumusan masalah, pengumpulan data, proses perancangan, hasil dan pembahasan, dan kesimpulan. Hasil yang ingin dicapai serta kontribusi terhadap ilmu pengetahuan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian ini adalah publikasi ilmiah pada Jurnal Nasional Universitas Pembangunan Pancabudi.

Abstract

Ekonomi kreatif merupakan ide atau gagasan yang diharapkan dapat menambah nilai ekonomi. Selain itu, ekonomi kreatif juga dianggap sebagai solusi alternatif untuk mengatasi masalah ekonomi. Generasi muda memiliki potensi besar dalam memajukan dan meningkatkan perekonomian Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menyosialisasikan konsep ekonomi kreatif kepada masyarakat, terutama di Desa Batuphat Barat, agar mereka memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk terlibat dalam ekonomi kreatif. Sosialisasi adalah proses yang membantu masyarakat belajar dan beradaptasi dengan cara hidup serta pola pikir yang sesuai, sehingga mereka memperoleh pemahaman tentang norma-norma sosial yang berlaku di masyarakat. Tujuan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengembangan keterampilan dalam bidang ekonomi kreatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung selama tiga bulan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Setelah dilaksanakan sosialisasi dengan tema "Peran Generasi Muda dalam Ekonomi Kreatif", mitra pemuda-pemudi mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan mengembangkan kemampuan di bidang ekonomi kreatif di tengah masyarakat. Mereka juga berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengembangan kemampuan mengenai peran generasi muda dalam ekonomi kreatif.

Abstract

Simulation technology tools are becoming important learning tools in higher education, facilitating the development of practical and cognitive skills in a safe and widely accessible environment. Simulation technology is applied in practicing and developing practical learning skills in a safe environment, without real risks. Computers as media and are used to improve learning outcomes and facilitate students in innovative learning. The importance of using simulation media in learning electricity engineering because inviting students to learn and interact with simulations can improve critical thinking skills, problem solving, and decision making. The simulation media was developed using the ADDIE model to achieve learning effectiveness targets by observing the parameters of alignment between simulation content and learning outcomes, interactivity that allows students to be actively involved in the learning process, the quality of feedback provided by simulations to help students understand in improving learning outcomes in the field of electricity engineering. The results of testing 21 respondents showed an increase in student involvement and motivation in the pretest results of 65.5 and post-test 83.38 in the experimental class, indicating that there was an increase in learning outcomes from media users. Practicality test 80% in the practical category shows the implication of using the media provides convenience.

Abstract

In this research, the aim is to analyze the reliability of the protection system at the Steam Power Plant (PLTU) at PT. Indah Pontjan. The protection system is a crucial component in PLTU operations, which functions to protect equipment and systems from interference and ensure operational safety. In this research, the reliability evaluation method is used to assess the effectiveness of the existing protection system. Analysis is carried out through operational data collection, protection system inspection, and simulation of various disturbance scenarios. The research results show that the reliability of the protection system at PLTU PT. Indah Pontjan already meets industry standards, but there are still several areas that require improvement. Some important findings include the detection of discrepancies in protection coordination, the need for improved protection devices, and the importance of further training for system operators. Recommendations are provided to strengthen the protection system, including the addition of modern protection devices, increased routine maintenance, and implementation of regular training programs. By increasing the reliability of the protection system, it is hoped that PLTU PT. Indah Pontjan can operate more safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of equipment damage and minimizing operational downtime. This research makes an important contribution to the development of a more reliable and effective protection system for the steam power generation industry.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze an electrical energy monitoring and protection system based on a smart interface system. In the current digital era, the need for systems that are more efficient, reliable and easily accessible is very high, especially in terms of electrical energy management and protection. Smart interface systems offer solutions to improve monitoring and protection capabilities through the use of advanced technology and automation. Research methods include the development and implementation of a smart interface system consisting of advanced sensors, wireless communication modules, and web-based monitoring software. This system is designed to detect various electrical parameters such as voltage, current and frequency in real-time, and provide automatic protection responses when anomalies or disturbances occur. The research results show that the smart interface system is able to increase the reliability and efficiency of monitoring and protection of electrical energy. This system successfully detects and responds to disturbances quickly, reduces the risk of equipment damage, and minimizes operational downtime. In addition, the intuitive user interface makes it easier for operators to monitor and manage electrical energy systems. The implementation of a smart interface system for monitoring and protecting electrical energy provides many benefits, including increased operational efficiency, system reliability and ease of management. This research contributes to the development of more advanced and reliable monitoring and protection technology, as well as providing recommendations for wider application in various industries that depend on complex electrical energy systems.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based weather station using NodeMCU ESP32, BMP280 sensor, and DHT11. This weather station is designed to collect real-time temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure data, and transmit them to an online platform for further analysis. NodeMCU ESP32 is used as the main microcontroller tasked with controlling and collecting data from both sensors. The BMP280 sensor is used to measure atmospheric pressure and temperature, while the DHT11 sensor is used to measure air humidity. The collected data is sent via a Wi-Fi connection to the Blynk server for storage and analysis. Through the use of IoT technology, this weather station provides the ability to monitor weather conditions in real time and take necessary actions based on the collected data. Integration with an online platform allows remote data access, allowing users to monitor weather conditions from anywhere. Thus, this study not only illustrates the implementation of IoT technology in monitoring weather but also opens up opportunities for broader applications in environmental monitoring and resource management.

Abstract

The research examines the design of a simulation program for short circuit calculations. A short circuit is an abnormal event called a disturbance in the electric power system. The classification of short circuit consists of three-phase fault, single-phase fault to ground, two-phase fault and two-phase fault to ground. Calculation of short circuit faults in electric power systems is very important for the study of reliability and safety of power systems. The method used in the design of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) based simulation program is the experimental method, which is to identify the magnitude of the short circuit current value based on the theorem of Fortescue's theorem related to symmetrical components. Furthermore, a GUI program script is built for short circuit calculations. The GUI success test was carried out by comparing the results of the short circuit analysis with the short circuit calculation program using Matlab and validation by experts. From the results of testing and validation by experts, it can be seen that the program built can complete the calculation of short circuit faults validly. The GUI SCC program can be applied to electric power system analysis learning, with a media validity level of 0.85, which is good for use in learning. In addition, this study also built a simulation for the calculation of class intervals and the practicality of the media using the Simulink Matlab media, the results of the program design were declared by experts to be valid with an average score of 0.8625

Abstract

Background: Pendampingan pembuatan pakan ternak menggunakan inovasi teknologi mesin pencacah memanfaatkan limbah jagung diolah menjadi silase untuk pakan ternak di Desa Suka Maju Sibolangit. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menghasilkan olahan pencacah limbah tanaman jagung yang diproses menjadi pakan ternak sebagai dalam bentuk silase yang dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu yang lebih lama. Metode: Metode Pelaksanaan melalui 5 tahapan yaitu tahapan Focus Group Discusion (FGD), Sosialisasi pemnafaatan limbah jagung untuk pakan ternak, perancangan inovasi mesin pencacah, pendampingan pembuatan pakan ternak yang dipermatasi (silase), uji coba pemberian pakan pada ternak dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil: Dari pendampingan pembuatan pakan ternak, bekerja dengan baik kemampuan mencacah limbah jangung 300 Kg dilakukan dalam waktu ±25 Menit. Kemampuan mesin ini melakukan pencacahan karena telah dilengkapi 65 bilah pisau yang dioeprasikan dengan mesin pencacah 7,5 HP. Rata-rata tingkat pemahaman bernilai 85 penggunaan alat dan pembuatan pakan ternak oleh 21 orang anggota Bumdes menyatakan paham dianalisis melalui angket pemahaman pembuatan pakan ternak. Kesimpulan: Pengolahan limbah jagung untuk pakan ternak yang sebelumnya banyak terbuang saat panen jagung, melalui proses pencacahan dan silase, limbah hasil panen menjadi produk berguna sebagai pakan ternak yang dapat disimpan lebih tahan lama dibanding tanpa proses silase.

Abstract

Kehandalan jaringan listrik merupakan aspek krusial dalam penyediaan layanan energi yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kehandalan jaringan listrik di Unit Layanan Pelanggan (ULP) 3 Binjai menggunakan metode Simulasi Monte Carlo yang diimplementasikan melalui perangkat lunak MATLAB. Studi ini menggunakan data historis gangguan, topologi jaringan, dan parameter operasional sistem distribusi listrik ULP 3 Binjai selama periode satu tahun terakhir (2023). Metode Simulasi Monte Carlo dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam menangani ketidakpastian dan variabilitas sistem yang kompleks. Implementasi berbasis MATLAB memungkinkan analisis yang lebih efisien dan akurat. Penelitian ini menghitung indeks kehandalan utama seperti System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) dan System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa ULP 3 Binjai memiliki nilai SAIFI 0.88 gangguan/pelanggan/tahun dan SAIDI 1.53 jam/pelanggan/tahun jam/pelanggan/tahun untuk tahun 2023. Analisis sensitivitas juga dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi komponen kritis yang memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kehandalan sistem. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, diusulkan untuk meningkatkan kehandalan jaringan, termasuk penguatan infrastruktur pada titik-titik kritis dan optimalisasi jadwal pemeliharaan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan metodologi evaluasi kehandalan yang dapat diterapkan pada sistem distribusi listrik serupa di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada analisis data terkini.
