Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students’ learning outcomes on the basic pattern elements (phase E) in fashion design subject at SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 33 students from one class selected purposively. Data were collected through observation sheets on PBL implementation, learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest), and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by comparing pretest and posttest scores and calculating the percentages of implementation and student responses. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL model was categorized as very good, with an average of 91% in the first session and 91.6% in the second. Students’ learning mastery improved significantly from 45% (pretest) to 91% (posttest), with a 46% increase. Student responses were also highly positive, with an average score of 88.2%. These findings indicate that the PBL model effectively enhances students’ engagement, content understanding, and critical thinking skills. The implication of this study suggests that the PBL model is suitable for practical learning in fashion design education that emphasizes contextual problem solving and collaborative learning

Abstract

This research is a study on the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing that interprets the characters of Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong in the art of Reog Ponorogo. Klono Sewandono depicts a brave, authoritative, and wise king. Bujang Ganong depicts an energetic, agile, and unyielding prime minister. The research method used in this study is Practice-led Research, which includes the pre-design, design, implementation, and presentation stages. The purpose of this research is to describe the creative process of creation, the final results of the creation process, and the presentation of the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing inspired by Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong. The benefits of this research are as a form of applying knowledge in the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing inspired by Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong in the art of Reog Ponorogo, as well as an effort to preserve local culture, particularly in the Ponorogo region. The final products of this research comprise two women's garments and one men's garment, with visual inspiration drawn from the colours, silhouettes, and costume elements of each character. The garments created were exhibited at the Grand Jury event, a fashion exhibition and show.

Abstract

This study focuses on applying unfinished fabric manipulation techniques to deluxe ready-to-wear clothing inspired by the whispering sands of Bromo. The objectives are to formulate the manufacturing process, achieve the desired results, and present the clothing designs. Whispering sand was selected as the source of inspiration due to its distinctive characteristics, namely the formation of sand waves caused by gusts of wind that make the sand fly and create beautiful, unique waves. These waves were applied to the garments using thick denim fabric to create a rough texture resembling sand. This creation process employs a practice-led research approach consisting of pre-design, design, realization, and presentation of the work. The resulting designs include three deluxe, ready-to-wear garments: one men's three-piece set consisting of a shirt, outerwear, and pants, and two women's two-piece sets. The first women's garment includes outerwear and a skirt. The second women's garment features outerwear and a jumpsuit.

Abstract

A successful education provider is one that produces graduates who can apply their knowledge and skills in the real world. This study aims to examine the 2022 graduate profile through a tracer study and identify factors that influence their competencies. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the study involved 471 graduates from 13 study programs at the Faculty of Engineering. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and analyzed using factor analysis with the help of SPSS. Results show that the average waiting time for graduates to secure their first job is 4.28 months. Most alumni reported that their jobs were very closely (31%) or closely (30%) related to their field of study. The study identified 27 competency-supporting factors, which were grouped into two main components through factor analysis. Combined, these components influence alumni competence by 68.056%. The findings indicate that the curriculum and graduate profile developed by the study programs remain relevant to industry needs. Therefore, universities should adopt a holistic educational approach that balances academic knowledge with character development, ethics, and soft skills. Strengthening collaboration with industry and continuously updating the curriculum are key steps to ensure graduates stay relevant and competitive in the job market.

Abstract

Technological developments have influenced various aspects of life, one of which is shopping methods. Consumers now have two main options for shopping: offline and online. Competition between offline and online stores is increasingly fierce, so it is important to understand the differences in consumer shopping interests in both methods. This study aims to identify whether there are significant differences in offline and online shopping interests and to measure the magnitude of these differences. The method used in this study is quantitative with a difference test approach. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Blitar with students from the Fashion Design and Production department as research subjects. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using a paired two-sample T-test to determine differences in shopping interests between offline and online. After that, the effect size calculation was carried out using Cohen's D to measure the magnitude of the existing differences. The results showed that there are significant differences in interest in offline and online shopping. The results of the T-test indicate a clear difference between these two shopping methods. Furthermore, the Cohen's D effect size analysis produced a value of -0.940, which indicates that the difference is in the large category. This means that Fashion Design and Production students at SMK Negeri 3 Blitar are more likely to have a higher interest in online shopping than offline shopping. This is due to the convenience and practicality of online shopping, where consumers do not need to come to a physical store to make a transaction. This study provides an overview of how shopping interest can be influenced by the ease of access offered by online shopping.

Abstract

Pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo merupakan salah satu wujud dari peningkatan sumber daya manusia yang bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo 2) mendeskripsikan hasil jadi pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa TRosobo, dan 3) mengetahui respon peserta pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pra eksperimen dengan tipe one shot case study. Pelatihan dilakukan di Balai RW 01 desa Trosobo dan diikuti oleh 30 peserta remaja putri. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu berupa observasi, penilaian produk dan angket. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi kegiatan instruktur, lembar penilaian hasil jadi produk hand painting pada kaos cotton combed, dan lembar angket kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Keterlaksanaan proses pelatihan aktivitas instruktur mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,8 dengan kategori sangat baik. (2) Hasil produk pelatihan berupa hand painting pada kaos cotton combed yang dibuat oleh peserta mendapatkan hasil sebanyak 90% peserta memperoleh nilai rata-rata 4 dengan kategori sangat baik dan 10% peserta mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3 dengan kategori baik. (3) Respon peserta terhadap proses pelatihan hand painting mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,7 yang berarti sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the process of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses (2) to determine the results of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses. In this study the method used is the creation of works consisting of four stages: pre-design, design, embodiment and presentation. The results of this study are the process of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses. Starting from making designs according to the source of ideas obtained directly based on research and observations on the spot. The process of applying the ostrich feather application technique begins with placing ostrich feathers on the slits of the skirt and bra cups, then basting and sewing according to the design. The final result of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses is in accordance with the source of ideas. The placement of ostrich feathers and the selection of material characteristics using plain white tulle with the addition of tulle sequins on the skirt so that it has a glamorous impression according to the source of ideas.

Abstract

Kendala yang sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran pengetahuan bahan tekstil adalah siswa kurang tertarik mempelajari berbagai macam bahan tekstil. Permasalahannya adalah guru menggunakan berbagai sumber media pembelajaran yang beragam dan menyenangkan namun belum maksimal, yang menyebabkan siswa bosan dan kesulitan mengerjakan tugas. Penerapan media Prezi bertujuan untuk menambah minat siswa dalam memahami materi pengetahuan bahan tekstil. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Prezi pada pembelajaran pengetahuan bahan tekstil terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. Responden penelitian adalah siswa jurusan tata busana SMKN 1 Jabon dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media Prezi mengalami peningkatan yang cukup tinggi dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 33,33 dan post-test sebesar 94,66.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini 1) Mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada elemen kewirausahaan kelas XI Tata Busana, 2) Mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning siswa dalam pembelajaran elemen kewirausahaan di SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental dan model One Shot Case Study. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Jabon pada kelas XI Tata Busana dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada elemen kewirausahaan materi peluang usaha dan tes untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran terhadap siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat dilihat dari keterlaksanaan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada elemen kewirausahan materi peluang usaha memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,7 untuk aktivitas guru dan siswa. Hasil belajar seluruh siswa mendapatkan nilai diatas kkm dan sebelum diterapkannya PJBL ada 3 siswa yang mendapatkan nilai diatas KKM. Sebanyak 100% siswa Tuntas KKM dan 0% Tidak Tuntas KKM.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya media pembelajaran sebagai penunjang materi pembuatan pola rok lipit sungkup dan lipit hadap. Media pembelajaran yang diterapkan kepada siswa berupa modul ajar untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam memperoleh materi serta sebagai media belajar secara mandiri dalam pembuatan pola rok lipit hadap dan lipit sungkup. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana keterlaksanaan Mengetahui bagaimana keterlaksanaan penerapan media pembelajaran modul terhadap hasil belajar pembuatan pola rok lipit sungkup dan lipit hadap. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, one shot case study. Hasil penelitian Keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran modul pembuatan pola rok lipit sungkup dan lipit hadap siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Buduran mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 89,2% dikategorikan sangat. Hasil belajar siswa menggunakan media pembelajaran modul pembuatan pola rok lipit sungkup dan lipit hadap memperoleh penilaian rata-rata sebesar 90,36 dikatakan “TUNTAS” dan menunjukkan kategori “SANGAT BAIK” dengan skor 100%. Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran modul pembuatan pola rok lipit sungkup dan lipit hadap memperoleh hasil presentase 95% dari siswa menjawab “YA” dengan kriteria “SETUJU”.
