Abstract

The Effectiveness of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning to Improve Students' Science Literacy on Global Warming Materials. One of the skills that students must have in the 21st century is science literacy skills. However, based on data, the science literacy of Indonesian students is relatively low. With that, it is necessary to improve the quality of learning, one of which is the use of teaching materials such as LKPD (Student Worksheet). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL-based LKPD in improving students' science literacy. Furthermore, the method applied is Pre-experimental with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample used was classes VII-D which amounted to 35 students in junior high schools in Garut Regency. The instruments used in this study were in the form of science literacy-based questions as many as 21 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis used was in the form of N-Gain score calculation to determine the effectiveness of PBL-based LKPD. The results obtained show that PBL-based LKPD has high effectiveness in improving science literacy in aspects of science knowledge and science competence. Furthermore, the results of the calculation on content knowledge obtained a high category N-Gain with a score of 0.83, then the epistemic knowledge indicator obtained a moderate category N-Gain with a score of 0.74, and procedural knowledge obtained a medium category with a score of 0.57. Meanwhile, the indicator explains that the scientific phenomenon obtained an N-Gain result of 0.48 with the medium category, and for the indicator to interpret data and facts scientifically of 0.58 (medium category). Thus, results were obtained that showed that PBL-based LKPD has the effectiveness of increasing science literacy on global warming materials. Abstract

A community-based curriculum emphasizes the utilization of local community resources to enrich science learning. Garut, situated in west Indonesia, boasts abundant local resources that can serve as valuable curricular materials for science instruction. This study delves into the perceptions of secondary prospective science teachers regarding the local community resources vis--vis science concepts. Thirty-four aspiring secondary science educators from a university in Garut participated in the investigation. The locale features several noteworthy resources, including the Kamojang geothermal field, the leather tanning industry, and Garut sheep. Data collection involved surveys and interviews, with analysis conducted through descriptive statistics and constant comparative methods. Overall, prospective teachers exhibited awareness of Garut's three primary local resourcesnamely, the Kamojang geothermal field (70.6%), the leather tanning industry (88.2%), and Garut sheep (67.6%). However, they lacked direct engagement with these resources, whether through site visits, ownership, maintenance, or comprehensive knowledge of their developmental processes. Furthermore, participants displayed varying levels of understanding regarding concepts related to geothermal science (31.63%), Garut sheep (52%), and the leather tanning industry (24.6%). Interviews depicted a growing inclination toward leveraging local resources in future science instruction. The findings underscore the imperative for prospective teachers to enhance their understanding of science concepts linked to each of Garut's community resources

Abstract

Regular Antenatal care is very important because it helps reduce complications in pregnancy and childbirth. The aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of Village Health Cadres regarding the use of KIA books in Sumberagung Village, Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency. This activity was carried out in the form of training regarding the use of the KIA book. The training was carried out for 3 (three) days attended by 30 participants using the lecture method, question and answer, practice in using the KIA book and KIE practice. The result of the activity was that 30 cadres were trained, there was an increase in the lowest, highest and average knowledge scores of the training participants. Most (80%) of the training participants had very good post scores (79-100), the average score of participants' skills in using the KIA book is 83.3% and skills in extension are the majority (80%) have a very good value of extension skills (79-100), the formation of a joint commitment, all cadres (100%) have carried out outreach to the community around where they live on an ongoing basis so that can improve the health status of mothers and children.

Abstract

This study aims to map the understanding, attitudes, and skills related to Entrepreneurial Thinking (ET) in the context of science projects among pre-service science teachers. ET is an essential component that can be integrated into science education, as it has the potential to enhance creativity, innovation, and the social impact of project-based learning outcomes. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 73 pre-service science teachers from various regions of Indonesia. Data were collected through an online questionnaire that measured three main aspects: conceptual understanding, attitudes, and ET-related skills within science projects. The results indicated that, in general, pre-service science teachers possess a good understanding of the concept of ET and its application in science projects. Attitudes toward ET were also highly positive, as shown by the strong enthusiasm for integrating ET into science projects. Furthermore, the participants demonstrated competency in ET-related skills, although certain aspects, such as designing innovative solutions and brainstorming, still require further development. These findings suggest that the integration of ET into science education holds significant potential in shaping innovative and solution-oriented mindsets among pre-service science teachers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kekurangan Energi Kronis (KEK) pada ibu hamil masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Desa Margomulyo Kecamatan Balen Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kader kesehatan dalam mencegah KEK melalui pelatihan. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi, dan simulasi terhadap 30 peserta kader kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan kader tentang status gizi dan pencegahan KEK. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan KEK dengan melakukan nilai pre dan post testnilai terendah, nilai tertinggi pre-test 90 dan post test 100 dan rata-rata yang diperoleh peserta pelatihan pre-test 78 dan post test 85. Kemampuan KIE penyuluhan gizi stunting mencapai rata-rata 79% dengan kategori baik dan nilai rata-rata keterampilan  penyuluhan mencapai rata-rata 65,7% dengan kategori sangat baik. Semua peserta dinyatakan lulus dan penyuluhan dinyatakan terbukti mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait resiko KEK terhadap ibu hamil di Desa Margomulyo Wilayah Puskesmas Balen. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan, Kader, Gizi seimbang, KEK  ABSTRACT Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women remains a significant health issue in Margomulyo Village, Balen District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study aimed to enhance the capacity of health cadres in preventing CED through training. The training methodologies employed included lectures, discussions, and simulations, with 30 health cadre participants.The research findings demonstrated a significant improvement in the cadres' knowledge regarding nutritional status and CED prevention. 1 Based on the lowest and highest pre- and post-test scores, the highest pre-test score was 90, and the post-test score was 100. The average pre-test score for training participants was 78, while the post-test average increased to 85. The cadres' ability to provide stunting nutrition counseling was assessed, with an average of 79% falling within the "good" category. Furthermore, the average value of extension skills reached 65.7%, categorized as "very good." All participants successfully completed the training. The counseling initiatives effectively increased public awareness of the risks associated with CED for pregnant women within the Margomulyo Village, Balen Health Center Area. Keywords: Empowerment, Cadres, Balanced Nutrition, SEZ

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is still a problem in several hospitals in Indonesia and even the world. This study aims to determine the relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction in the Inpatient Room of Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province in 2019. This type of research used cross sectional. Statistical test using chi-square test using accidental sampling with a total of 50 respondents. The analysis was carried out in two stages, namely Univariate and Bivariate analysis, the results showed that the quality of nursing services at Siti Fatimah Hospital was good. Patient satisfaction in Siti Fatimah Hospital is high. There is a relationship between the quality of nursing services with patient satisfaction in Siti Fatimah Hospital. The better the quality of nursing services provided, the higher the level of patient satisfaction with the services provided. This research is expected to be a consideration for the leadership of Siti Fatimah Hospital in improving the quality of good service to patients so that the level of patient satisfaction is high.
