Abstract

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, one of which is colorectal cancer, a malignant tumor in the epithelial tissue of the colon and rectum. Cancer treatment is long-term, so it has an impact on physical and psychological changes for patients. There was many exploration of anticancer drug candidates from natural ingredients such as andrographolide compounds. The in silico method can be done to predicts the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of andrographolide compounds and meets Lipinski Rule of Five. The toxicity of andrographolide compounds was classified in class 4, which needs dose supervision. The prediction of activity potential is quite good based on the Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR). The results of molecular tethering of the three target receptors, namely Cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2), caspase-3, and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-2 (VEGFR-2), showed that caspase-3 has the best binding value or affinity of -5.36 kcal/mol, with quite a lot of hydrogen bonds of 7. The amino acids formed in andrographolide compounds are the same as the baseline ligands, so it can be concluded that andrographolide has colorectal anticancer activity and can increase caspase-3 activity in colorectal cancer cells.

Abstract

Indonesian elementary education continues to face persistent challenges in achieving high-quality learning outcomes, particularly amid the ongoing implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. A critical issue lies in the limited empirical understanding of how teachers’ professional competence and participation in learning communities interact to influence teaching quality. This study aims to examine the effects of professional competence and learning communities on the quality of learning among public elementary school teachers in Ngaliyan District, Semarang City. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 188 teachers through validated questionnaires that measured dimensions of professional competence, involvement in learning communities, and indicators of learning quality. Statistical analyses, including simple and multiple linear regression, revealed that both professional competence and learning communities have significant positive effects on learning quality. Learning communities showed a stronger individual contribution (R² = 0.616) compared to professional competence alone (R² = 0.291), and together they explained 65.9% of the variance in learning quality. These findings highlight the importance of not only enhancing individual teacher competencies but also fostering collaborative professional cultures in schools. The study suggests that educational policies and professional development programs should emphasize the establishment of effective learning communities alongside traditional competency-based training. This integrated approach is essential to support the successful implementation of curriculum reforms and improve educational outcomes in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine how professional teacher competence and collaborative school culture contribute to improving instructional quality in primary education. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the study analyzed 40 peer-reviewed journal articles from the Scopus database published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal four key dimensions of teacher competence that significantly impact instructional quality: adaptive pedagogy, content mastery and assessment literacy, digital literacy, and reflective professional practice. These dimensions form a cohesive ecosystem that enables teachers to design meaningful, inclusive, and future-oriented learning experiences. Furthermore, the study identifies four essential dimensions of collaborative school culture: shared vision and distributed leadership, engagement in professional learning communities (PLCs), peer-coaching and collaborative planning, and a psychologically safe school climate. These cultural elements create a sustainable environment for collective growth and innovation in teaching practices. The integration of teacher competence and school-level collaboration fosters transformative teaching and positions schools as reflective learning communities. This review provides both conceptual insights and practical implications for policy and professional development programs aimed at enhancing instructional quality. The findings highlight the need for a dual-focus strategy that simultaneously empowers individual teachers and strengthens collaborative structures to ensure sustainable educational transformation

Abstract

Assessment is an integral part of the language learning process, including in the teaching of Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI/Islamic elementary schools). One of the main skills to be developed is maharah kalam (speaking skill), which requires students to actively and communicatively use the Arabic language. This study aims to examine the speaking assessment techniques found in the Arabic Language Textbook for Grade III MI published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020, and to propose an innovation through authentic assessment using a communicative approach that is more contextual and meaningful. This research employs a library research method with content and descriptive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the assessment techniques in the textbook remain conventional, focusing on vocabulary pronunciation, dialogue repetition, and simple oral responses. These techniques do not fully reflect the real-life communicative use of language. Therefore, there is a need for authentic assessment innovations based on a communicative approach through activities such as role-playing, interviews, discussions, and oral presentations. Such innovations can provide a more comprehensive overview of students' competencies—cognitive, affective, and psychomotor—and support the goal of Arabic language instruction as an active communication tool.

Abstract

Education based on sustainable development is an idea that has long been initiated by UNESCO in facing global challenges in the 21st century. As a result of previous development that did not pay attention to sustainability in terms of economic, social and environmental aspects. We can see the impact on environmental damage, economic inequality, fractured social relations, and other problems. Actually, if we want to examine cultural and religious heritages in depth. These impacts should not occur massively or at least can be controlled. Among the cultural heritage that contains the value of sustainable development is the Tanbih Suryalaya Text, which is still often recited by its followers. Therefore, this article will attempt to develop the Tanbih text, which is still in Sundanese, into Arabic. Then make it as a teaching material for Arabic Language Education based on sustainable development through a descriptive qualitative approach method with literature study sources. The result of this research is an Arabic learning model that utilizes the Suryalaya tanbih text.
