Abstract

This study aimed to develop teaching materials for modules and LKPD with Creative-Based Drama Script Learning Materials to increase the HOTS in class XI SMA. The respondents were some material experts and design experts as validators of module teaching materials and LKPD. The research method used 4-D Research and Development by Thiagarajan which consists of four stages, namely define, design, development, and desseminition. This study was limited to development stage due to the pandemic situation so it cannot be carried out for the dissemination stage (desseminition). The material experts response to the developed teaching materials and LKPD modules gave an average score with the overall material aspect as 88.66% or "very satisfactory"; which means the product is feasible and valid to be tested in small groups and large groups, thus the material can be a prototype module and LKPD. While the design experts gave 92.6% or “very satisfactory”; which means that the product is feasible and valid to be tested by small groups and large groups, and it can be concluded that the design can be a prototype for modules and worksheets.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop socio-cultural-based LKPD teaching materials in understanding short story material to improve HOTS for class XI SMA. The research method used 4-D Research and Development by Thiagarajan that consists of four stages, namely define, design, development, and dissemination. This study is limited to the development stage, due to the current pandemic situation so it cannot be carried out for the dissemination stage. Data was collected using research instrument techniques to assess the validity of the products that have been developed, in the form of a validation questionnaire to be assessed by material experts in the form of content, construction, language aspects and design experts in the form of writing display aspects, image display, LKPD functions, and LKPD benefits. The assessment of the material aspect got an overall score of 90% with the "Very Good" criteria, means that the product is feasible and valid to be tested in small groups and large groups, thus the material can be a prototype of socio-cultural based short story worksheets. The design aspect assessment gave an assessment of 98.5% with the criteria of "Very Good", means that the product is feasible and valid to be tested by small groups and large groups, so from the design aspect it can become a prototype of socio-cultural-based short story worksheets. Thus, the overall socio-cultural-based short story LKPD is categorized as very good.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an expository writing text module with an expository genre approach. The study used the 4D research and development method by Thiagarajan. The stages of this research method arecarried out at the stage of defining, designing, and developing without conducting the dissemination stage. The data consisted of primary and secondary data. The secondary data were taken from articles from relevant previous studies, and books. While the primary data are taken directly from expertsin the formo fan assessment of teaching material products. The study used the documentation techniques. The study used questionnaire to collect data. Then the collected data will be analyzed byusing the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. Through the assessmen to material experts, the resulting module received a final score of 3.88 as very validcriteria, and the overall average score of the product design assessment by design experts was 3.67 as very valid criteria. Based on these results, it is concluded that the prototype of the explanatory text writing module with visual media developed is valid and feasible to be tested for the next stage, namely the dissemination stage.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the feasibility of electronic module-based teaching materials for flip-books in class X SMA. The method used is the 4-D (four D) research method by S. Thiagarajan and the development steps are (1)Define, (2) Design, (3) Development, and (4) Dissemination. The source of data is a questionnaire. The type of data is quantitative descriptive data as the main data collected through an instrument by Likert scale. The respondents are material/language experts, design experts and media experts. The researcher used the validation stage by four expert validators, therefor it could be tested in a limited way, carried out for the dissemination stage. The material expert responses to teaching materials and obtained an average as 83% of all aspects or "very satisfactory" means that the product is feasible and valid to be tested in small and large groups. Meanwhile, the design experts obtained as 98% or "very satisfactory" means that the product is feasible and valid to be tested by small groups and large groups. And from media experts, it was obtained as 93% or "very satisfactory" means that the media was feasible and valid to be tested in small groups and large groups. In the dissemination stage, the authors obtained dissemination scores through 25 respondents. Each respondent gives its value through a questionnaire that the author distributes. The results were collected and analyzed to obtain a good overall score as 85%. It can be concluded that the procedural text module with the media of this flipbook e-module has a good value and feasible to be used as teaching material in carrying out the teaching and learning process for procedural text material.

Abstract

The idea of hegemony and authority in language practice do exist in the development of linguistics and critical discourse studies. It attracts great attention at any time, moreover during time of crisis, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study uncovers the realization of the hegemony and authority of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the coverage of the COVID-19 Pandemic by online Indonesian media. More specifically, the focus is on the representation of the hegemony and authority of the WHO and their linguistic realization in Indonesian news discourse. The study used the van Dijk’s framework of Critical Discourse Studies to examine five news reports from five Indonesian media related to the WHO stance and standards in the handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The study employed van Dijk’s macrostructure analysis to uncover the surface of the news; and Halliday’s transitivity as the microstructure analysis. Overall, the study found that the online Indonesian media coverage on COVID-19 Pandemic automatedly reinforced and maintained the power and the authority of the WHO. On the one hand, the fact is beneficial for the readers since they will receive coverage with reputable sources. On the other hand, there is a potential that the WHO’s power and authority can be misused to enhanced some parties’ interests, for instance in promoting one’s vaccine brand.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone major changes since the beginning of the 21st century, with an emphasis on a student-centered educational paradigm and learning adapted to the needs of the times. At the beginning of the 21st century, there have been significant and undeniable advances in technology. Humans have utilized their inherent potential to face the challenges posed by nature through technological means. This article discusses the challenges and strategies for implementing 21st century Indonesian educational philosophy in secondary schools. The main challenges faced are resistance to change, lack of understanding of philosophical concepts, and limited resources. However, to overcome these challenges requires a training and coaching approach for educators, integrating educational philosophy into the curriculum and extracurricular activities, as well as various approaches to support the implementation of Indonesian educational philosophy in the 21st century. Through strong efforts and collaboration between various stakeholders, the implementation of the 21st century Indonesian education philosophy in secondary schools is expected to produce graduates who have qualities, values and skills that are in line with the needs of the times.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how education is impartial and liberating for students by developing a more inclusive and effective education system in the modern era. The research method used is Library Research or library research. This means that the data obtained in this research is not based on the perception or subjective views of the researcher, but is based on existing conceptual and theoretical facts. The results of the research show an increase in various aspects of learning such as students' motivation and interest in learning. The implementation of education that focuses on students plays an important role in helping to form individuals who are ready and resilient to face the future. Challenges faced include training teachers to use new technology and teaching methods effectively, as well as providing adequate infrastructure in schools, especially in less developed areas.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation of the Pancasila student profile program has an impact on the formation of student character in 21st century education in Indonesia. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used involves collecting Library document sources. The results of this research show the success of learning the Pancasila student profila which strengthens the character of students in accordance with national education goals. So if the Pancasila syudent profile is optimized in its implementation, the Pancasila character of students will be formed.

Abstract

Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thinking about educatonal include lifelong learning that adapts to changing circumstances, take a lot of variety sources and consistent with indonesian pancasila dan cultural norms. This concept can been practicing following by merdeka curriculum. Th purpose of this study is to certain Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thinking of values and their applicability in education philosophy with merdeka curriculum. The methods in this study is qualitative descriptive in study literarature on some journal that related. The results of this study show that Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thinking tell about how important education when we can value the student’s freedom, independence dan uniqueness.

Abstract

The 21st century has led to many transitions, mainly related to the instructional paradigm from teacher-centred to student-centred. This paradigm demands meaningful activities that emphasise learning and are able to build motivation to learn well. This has relevance to Ki Hadjar Dewantara's ideas regarding his concept of education which focuses on the question of how to become a complete human being. Therefore, this narrative literature study aims to provide a descriptive explanation of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's ideas related to the 21st century learning perspective based on existing literature. This article reveals that the ideas inherited by Ki Hadjar Dewantara have strong relevance to the construction of 21st century learning. The discussion of the relevance will be explained in this article as a common reflection for many people, especially educational agents
