Abstract

Perkembangan otak anak merupakan proses yang kompleks dan terus berlangsung sejak awal kehidupan. Pada masa kecil, perkembangan otak anak dipengaruhi oleh interaksi sosial dan lingkungan. Anak akan belajar banyak hal baru melalui interaksi tersebut, seperti bicara, berjalan, dan memahami emosi orang lain. Pada masa kanak-kanak, anak akan mulai memahami konsep waktu, ukuran, dan kepemilikan, serta mulai belajar membaca dan menulis. Pada masa remaja, anak akan mulai memahami dan mengekspresikan emosi dengan lebih baik, serta mulai belajar cara bergaul dengan teman sebaya. Anak juga akan mulai memiliki kemampuan untuk berpikir secara abstrak dan memecahkan masalah secara lebih kompleks.

Abstract

Kemampuan menggambar merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang dapat dikembangkan imajinasi anak. Bahkan, kemampuan ini menurun atau bahkan hilang saat masih kecil masuk sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model ATIK dalam meningkatkan kompetensi menggambar di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) di Kota Tanjung Redeb. Hal ini dikarenakan banyak kegagalan dalam belajar anak TK dalam kemampuan menggambar, terbukti dengan hilangnya kompetensi menggambar anak sambil duduk di bangku Sekolah Dasar (SD). Metode yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar pengamatan dan mencatat. Adapun Lembaga TK yang dipilih adalah TK Negeri Tanjung Redeb untuk kelompok Usia 4-6 Tahun. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan berdasarkan uji keefektifan, maka Model ATIK ini efektif dalam mengembangkan kompetensi menggambar pada anak TK.

Abstract

Sebuah isu penting dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini adalah peningkatan kualitas sekolah. Namun, upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas masih menghadapi berbagai masalah, seperti fasilitas fisik yang tidak memadai dan kualitas guru. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi etika dalam kepemimpinan untuk mendukung pengembangan guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 4 di Kota Banjarmasin. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk memahami strategi, karakteristik, dan dampak integrasi etika dalam kepemimpinan terhadap pengembangan guru. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, pendidik, dan siswa. Temuan penelitian termasuk strategi kepemimpinan yang melibatkan memberikan contoh bagi bawahan, mempertimbangkan konsekuensi jangka panjang, menetapkan standar etika agama sebagai norma budaya, dan mempertimbangkan aspek heterogenitas dalam mengembangkan budaya etika di sekolah. Karakteristik kepemimpinan yang ditemukan meliputi religius, kejujuran, keadilan, disiplin, ketegasan, dan simpati. Dampak dari integrasi etika dalam kepemimpinan terlihat dalam perilaku dan aspek akademik. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi etika dalam kepemimpinan dapat memiliki dampak positif. Proses ini memengaruhi orang lain dengan memimpin secara etis, sesuai dengan standar etika yang telah ditetapkan, dan meningkatkan kualitas guru dalam mencapai visi bersama institusi. Dengan demikian, nilai-nilai yang dianut oleh komunitas sekolah dapat dipertahankan sambil meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

The issue of traffic safety represents a significant concern in a number of contexts, including among students. The objective of the traffic order socialisation programme is to enhance the awareness and knowledge of junior high school students in Lagosi regarding the significance of orderly behaviour on the road. The socialisation programme comprised a series of activities, including the presentation of materials on traffic signs, basic traffic rules, and the adverse consequences of violating traffic regulations. Furthermore, simulations and interactive discussions were conducted with the objective of reinforcing students' comprehension of the scenarios they frequently encounter on a daily basis while traversing the roadways. It is anticipated that this pedagogical strategy will facilitate not only an understanding of traffic regulations, but also their practical application in the students' daily lives, whether as pedestrians, cyclists, or passengers. The results of this activity demonstrated a notable enhancement in students' comprehension of the significance of road safety, accompanied by a more favourable shift in attitude towards the practice of orderly traffic conduct. It is therefore anticipated that this socialisation programme will serve as an initial step in the moulding of a younger generation that is more disciplined and aware of traffic safety.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Anemia merupakan salah satu bentuk permasalahan pada kehamilan ynag banyak terjadi di Indonesia, permasalahan anemia pada kehmaialan menjadi salah satu cerminan nilai kesejahteraan sosial ekonomi masyarakat dan berpengaruh sangat besar terhadap kualitas sumber daya manusia. Anemia pada ibu hamil disebut ”potencial danger for mother of child” (potensial membahayakan bagi ibu dan anak) maka dari itu Anemia pada kehamilan perlu mendapatkan perhataian dari berbagai kalanagan terutama oleh pihak yang terkait dalam pelayanan kesehatan sebagai garda terdepan. Tujuan: pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk Meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil terkaiat Anemia, Sehingga para ibu dapat dengan mandiri mengenali tanda dan gejala Anemia pada kehamilaan serta melakukan pemeriksaan HB pada ibu hamil. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan secara langsung di UPTD Puskesmas Sei Lekop dan dengan membagiakn leaflet kepada ibu hamil tentang anemia kehamilan terkhusus tanda dan gejala Anemia pada kehamilan serta melakukan pemeriksaan hb. Hasil: Penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan Kadar hemoglobin sebagai upaya deteksi dini anemia pada ibu hamil. Mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Dosen dan mahasiswa S1 kebidanan Universitas Batam. Pengapdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan hemoglobin ibu hamil menggunakan alat Hbmeter “easy touch”. Hasil yang didapatkan dari pengabdian ini adalah diperiksanya 12 ibu hamil yang ada di UPTD Puskesmas Sei Lekop

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in effectiveness between Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and examine the influence of learning motivation on the achievement of Christian Religious Education in Ause Elementary School students, Wapoga District. The research design used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment. All participants were divided into two treatment groups: one taught using PjBL, the other using PBL. The main instruments were an achievement test to measure cognitive achievement and a motivation questionnaire that captures intrinsic-extrinsic aspects. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire distribution, and test administration, then analyzed using SPSS 27 with Two-Way ANOVA. The analysis results show that the learning method variable has a significant impact on achievement (F=162.695; Sig.=0.000): PjBL students obtained higher scores than PBL. Motivation also had a significant effect (F=64.094; Sig.=0.000); highly motivated students achieved better results. Furthermore, there was a significant interaction between method and motivation (F=46.466; Sig.=0.000), indicating that the effectiveness of the method increases when supported by high learning motivation. In other words, both PjBL and PBL will work optimally if students have a strong learning drive. The conclusion confirms that Christian Religious Education achievement is significantly determined by the type of method, the level of motivation, and the synergy between the two. Teachers are advised to integrate strategies that require active participation—such as projects or problem-solving—while designing activities that strengthen intrinsic motivation and provide extrinsic reinforcement. This integrated approach is believed to improve both learning outcomes and student independence. These findings are relevant for similar schools in remote areas facing limited resources but demanding future improvements in the quality of learning.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is one of the most prevalent skin diseases worldwide, often treated with antibiotics to suppress the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis. However, the irrational use of antibiotics has led to the alarming rise of antibiotic resistance, necessitating alternative solutions. Herbal plants, such as single bulb garlic (Allium sativum var. Solo garlic), offer promising antibacterial properties due to their allicin content. Fermentation of garlic has been shown to enhance its antibacterial activity. This study aimed to compare the antibacterial potential of non-fermented and fermented single bulb garlic extracts against Staphylococcus epidermidis using a True Experiment with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The well diffusion method was applied to 24 samples divided into six groups: non-fermented and fermented extracts at concentrations of 60%, 80%, and 100%, with clindamycin and sterile aquadest as controls. Results demonstrated that all garlic extract groups exhibited sensitivity (>21 mm). Inhibition zones for non-fermented extracts were 29 mm, 33 mm, and 33 mm, while fermented extracts showed significantly larger zones of 38 mm, 40 mm, and 40 mm, respectively. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference (p < 0.05) between non-fermented and fermented groups. The findings highlight the enhanced antibacterial efficacy of fermented garlic, making it a potent alternative to combat Staphylococcus epidermidis.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effects of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) models, as well as students’ learning motivation, on mathematics learning outcomes among fifth-grade elementary students. The research was motivated by persistently low mathematics achievement at the primary level, often attributed to teacher-centered approaches and insufficient student motivation. A 2x2 factorial experimental design was employed, involving 54 students from SD Negeri Inpres Malompo, Papua, divided into two experimental groups: Class A using the PBL model and Class B using the PjBL model. Data were collected through a mathematics achievement test and a learning motivation questionnaire, both validated for reliability and content. Data analysis was conducted using Two-Way ANOVA. The results revealed that the instructional model did not have a significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes (p = 0.107), while learning motivation had a highly significant effect (p = 0.000). Moreover, there was no significant interaction between the instructional model and motivation level (p = 0.435). These findings suggest that learning outcomes are more strongly influenced by individual motivation rather than the choice of instructional model. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.545 indicates that 54.5% of the variance in learning outcomes can be explained by the combined effects of the instructional model and learning motivation.This study highlights the importance of strengthening students’ learning motivation as a central focus in improving mathematics instruction in elementary schools, alongside the contextual and adaptive use of innovative teaching models.  Keyword: Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, learning motivation, mathematics achievement, elementary education.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) serta tingkat motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini berpijak pada rendahnya hasil belajar matematika di tingkat dasar yang sering kali dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan lemahnya motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen faktorial 2x2 dengan subjek sebanyak 54 siswa di SD Negeri Inpres Malompo, Papua, yang terbagi dalam dua kelas eksperimen: kelas A menggunakan model PBL dan kelas B menggunakan model PjBL. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi belajar, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Two-Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika (p = 0,107), sedangkan motivasi belajar memberikan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan (p = 0,000). Tidak ditemukan interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan tingkat motivasi terhadap hasil belajar (p = 0,435). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan belajar lebih ditentukan oleh tingkat motivasi siswa dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,545 mengindikasikan bahwa 54,5% variasi hasil belajar dapat dijelaskan oleh kombinasi model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan motivasi belajar siswa sebagai fokus utama dalam pengembangan strategi pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar, serta penerapan model inovatif yang kontekstual dan adaptif terhadap karakteristik peserta didik. Abstract

In an era where rapid technological advancement affects all aspects, including education, there are still challenges in enhancing teachers' competence in technology. Many teachers continue to employ traditional methods without leveraging technology due to insufficient guidance. The implementation of ICT training often faces various challenges, such as teachers' ability to integrate technology into daily teaching practices is still lagging behind. Researchers examined the effectiveness of the Teacher Development Program to enhance technology-based learning at SD Negeri 1 Kedungpring through observation and interviews. It is anticipated that this program will positively impact the effectiveness of learning in the school. Based on the research findings, a significant number of teachers still use traditional teaching methods, with only 40% actively incorporating technology. Through development seminars and interviews, researchers found that this program effectively improves learning effectiveness. A majority of teachers stated that the development program has enhanced their competency in teaching with technology, resulting in positive impacts on student learning outcomes and overall instructional effectiveness.

Abstract

The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this classroom action research (CAR) is to find out how far science students' learning outcomes are increased by applying the use of Power Point Media. In class action research (PTK) this was carried out in 2 cycles, from the results of the actions taken it was proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes by achieving the specified classical completeness of 85%. Classical Completeness 70% obtained in cycle I, can be increased in cycle II to 100%. In terms of student activity there was also an increase, namely in cycle I, the moderately active category was obtained, increasing to the active category. The results of this action research indicate that the application of the use of Power Point Media can improve student learning outcomes in science lessons with completeness reaching 100%.
